Pics: Cyclone Fani, One of the Biggest Storms Ever
The cyclone Fani today is so extreme that it has made its landfall in the coastal state of Odisha at a wind speed of 175 kmph which is considered as below the worst level. With its landfall, many trees and rooftops have been destroyed at Puri-Konark marine drive road and the power supply has been affected badly in Puri, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Balugaon. Also, communication links have been disrupted.
Nearly fifteen Odisha districts with more than 8,00,000 people have been evacuated to cyclone shelters, including schools and government buildings. The government confirmed that nearly 12 lakh people would be evacuated from low-lying areas eastern Odisha. More than 200 trains and all Odisha bound flights have been cancelled after the weather forecast warning of a massive storm surging ahead at a high speed.
The dramatic visuals and videos on cyclone are over the social media and we can see how people are suffering from this spiralling winds with its unprecedented densities. Looking at the severity, many celebrities have sent their prayers to those who are stuck in the affected areas. The forecasting department is also predicting much extensive damage in the new few hours.

“Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” will be wrapped up this month. Producer Ram Charan has finally made an official announcement about the movie’s shoot status.
As per his latest statement, the film will commence its final schedule shortly at Kokapet set which was damaged due to a fire breakout on Friday morning.
Contrary to media reports, the set was not fully burned down. It can be restored. Once it is done, the movie’s final leg of shoot will commence.
“Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” features Megastar Chiranjeevi in the role of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, a provincial ruler in Kurnool rebelled against British authorities in 1840’s.
Ram Charan is producing this movie with a staggering budget of Rs 200 Cr.
“Unfortunately, a fire broke out on our ‘Sye Raa’ set in Kokapet earlier this morning. Thankfully, everyone in the team is safe and no one is hurt. We are really looking forward for our last schedule to finish!!,” Ram Charan posted on Facebook.
Directed by Surender Reddy, ‘Sye Raa’ has Nayanthara, Tamannah, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi and Amitabh Bachchan in important roles.
EC angry for screening of RGV film
Andhra Pradesh chief electoral officer Gopala Krishna Dwivedi has expressed anger over the screening of controversial film “Lakshmi’s NTR” made by maverick director Ram Gopal Varma in a couple of theatres in Kadapa district.
The EC has stalled release of the film in Andhra Pradesh as the model code of conduct has been in force in the entire state. The film, which was supposed to be released on December 1, has been put on hold.
However, two theatres in Kadapa screened the film for a couple of shows on December 1. Apparently, Kadapa joint collector has given permission to the distributor to screen the film for the reasons known only to him.
Taking serious exception to it, Dwivedi said he had recommended action against Kadapa Joint Collector for allowing distributor to screen Lakshmi’s NTR in two theaters in violation of the EC orders.
He said that he gave clear instructions not to release the controversial film but despite his orders, the film was screened in two theaters, he added.
However, there has been no action so far against Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy, who went on record before the media saying he had to spend Rs 50 crore in the recent parliament elections in Anantapur constituency, from where his son J C Pawan contested in his place.
The YSR Congress party leaders lodged a complaint against JC, but the EC is yet to take action. It is learnt the Commission is likely to issue notices to the MP shortly.
Priyanka Chopra’s brother’s wedding called off?
Mumbai: Indian actress Priyanka Chopra’s brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding may have been called off, if indicators on his fiancee Ishita Kumar’s social media account are anything to go by.
On Thursday, Ishita posted on Instagram a new image of herself hanging out at a restaurant with the caption: “Cheers to new beginnings. With a goodbye kiss to beautiful endings.”
Her parents’ comments on the image added fuel to the speculations.
Ishita’s mother Nidhi Kumar reacted: “Close old book and write”, whereas her father wrote: “We are with you; Feel the expanse of the universe and be the star you were born to be.”
Ishita had even shared pictures of her bridal shower last month, but has now taken them off her Instagram page.
“Last night was so much fun. Thank you for making it so special. Can’t believe it I’m getting married,” she had penned.
Just days after her bridal shower, she had posted a photograph from a hospital, and wrote: “Recovering from surgery. Very painful but glad it’s over.”
Priyanka had arrived in the capital city last month amid reports that her brother was getting married.
She had welcomed Ishita into the family by sharing a photograph, which continues to be on the actress’ Instagram page. The ‘roka’ picture on Priyanka and Siddharth’s mother Madhu Chopra continues to be there.
Priyanka had come down for Siddharth and Ishita’s ‘roka’ ceremony in Delhi in February with her American singer-actor husband Nick Jonas.

Speaking so bravely, however Malaika did not find any fault in having those songs in films nor doing them. “Our films have been about this i.e, songs and dance and so there is nothing wrong in doing them and I would never call for a ban on those type of songs,” added she.
Malaika last sizzled in the movie ‘Pataakha’ which was directed by Vishal Bharadwaj.

Avengers Beats Baahubali (hindi)
For the first time ever, since Baahubali Hindi version displaced the hopes and dreams of many Hindi biggies, an unthinkable has happened. First time after years, Baahubali 2 record got broken when it comes to first week collections.
After one week of a run at the box office, Avengers: End Game has collected a whopping 260 crores nett from the Indian box office from all the versions it got released in. Guess what, our very own Baahubali 2 Hindi version is more than 10 crores short of this as it collected 247 crores back then. This is followed by Sultan (229 cr in 9 days), Tiger Zinda Hai (206 Cr) and Sanju (202 Cr). And that makes Avengers take No 1 position at Bollywood box office. However, if we take Baahubali 2 (all versions), then it is nearly 420+ crores share, an unbeatable feat for any other film till date.
Though many Bollywood films tried to beat Baahubali 2 collection for a long time, none of them has succeeded. But finally Hollywood movie Avengers has done it, however, Bollywood is still not happy because a native Hindi film is yet to take the Top 1 position. Now they have to beat both Baahubali and Avengers to get to the pinnacle.
TS govt alert on degree and PG results
The inter results irregularities have really put down the Telangana government. It also got a reputation that the government reacted quite lately and instead of accepting their mistakes, they kept criticizing the oppositions for highlighting the issue. By then 24 students have lost their lives. The protests are still going on this issue and now the government is alert with degree and PG results approaching.
The state council of higher education met the other day and discussed certain probabilities. The council suggested to appoint a high power committee in all the universities which will constantly look after if an error pops up. The council also has sent directives to universities and banned the use of the phone by scrutinizers while the valuation of the answer sheet. CCTV should also be set up in all the valuation rooms. Post announcing the results, if mistakes still creep in, then the lecturers who have done valuation will have to face severe consequences.
The council also informed the universities to allot Xerox copies of answer sheets to the student who apply for re-valuation and re-verification post the results.
The government has appointed a five-member committee and it was asked to come up with reforms in conduction examinations and valuation with transparency.
Janasena Team Upset With Pawan’s Film Plans!
Apparently many crucial wickets of Janasena Party are falling at the wrong time including that of party’s treasurer Marisetty Raghavaiah’s resignation. Though everyone is quoting personal reasons as the cause for the resignation, we hear that apparently, they are all upset with Pawan Kalyan’s next moves.
Whether Janasena wins a considerable number of seats or not, Pawan Kalyan is said to be pretty clearly contemplating about doing at least 4-5 films before the next election. Like how all other politicians run their own businesses in between their political voyage, even Pawan wants to do his own job it looks like. Perhaps that is the reason why films with Harish Shankar and Dolly have got some movement.
However, this is not going well with the core team of Pawan Kalyan, as they feel that one has to dedicate their life fully to politics in case if they want to bring true change in the society. It will be tough to ascertain who is right in this case, but it looks like the core team has to understand that even PK needs money to survive for a long time in politics.
On the flip side, some insiders revealed that all these party leaders are putting their papers because they have lacked confidence that Janasena will win at least substantial mandate in the recently concluded election.

Director turned actor SJ Suryah has been doing negative and serious roles off late. For the first time he is attempting an out and out comedy entertainer and that too he is going on a war with a RAT. Yes, you read it right, it’s a rat that is going to play a huge role in his upcoming movie called ‘Monster.’
The teaser of the film is out and it offers to be a laugh riot. The so-called rat troubles Suryah and his friend. Will Suryah avenge the rat and be peaceful is something to be watched on the big screen. ‘Monster’ is directed by Nelson Venkatesan while Priya Bhavani Shankar played the female lead role.
We all know Suryah is really good at portraying bad roles and now we have to see how he impresses with his comic acts. The teaser shows a bit of his other side but the full film will reveal his capabilities in this entertainer.

TDP to hold Mahanadu in Telangana before results?
If whispers in Telugu Desam Party’s corridors are to be believed, there is information that the party is planning to conduct Mahanadi in Telangana very soon. At a time when the party has lost its face in Telangana but is confident of its chances in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party cadre apparently are looking forward to his massive gathering.
Generally, the Mahanadu is held on NTR’s birth anniversary on May 28th. However, this time, the party high command is of the opinion that they may not be able to hold it on NTR’s Jayanthi as it would be just a few days after the election results would be out. Given that the results could throw up a surprise, the party has decided to hold Mahanadu before AP election results.
Apparently, the party is mulling to conduct it anytime on May 18th while a final decision on this will be taken soon. Hyderabad could be the place where Mahanadu will be held, it is learnt and Telangana TDP leaders have been given green signal to make arrangements for the event. However, this time, it will be a one-day event that will be wrapped up soon, say TDP sources.
With the news of Mahanadu making it to Telangana, political circles in both the Telugu states are rife with discussion.
Jana Sena Treasurer leaves party
Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party received a huge shock with Treasurer Marishetty Raghavaiah offering his resignation. Rahgavaiah is the senior most leader in the party and has sent his resignation letter to party president Pawan. He cited that due to personal reasons, he is leaving the party. Marishetty was given the opportunity as he was also a crucial person back when Chiranjeevi floated Praja Rajyam Party.
But why all of a sudden Raghavaiah took this drastic decision, is wondering the political experts and the debate over it started among the political circles too.
Rumours have it say that Jana Sena is giving least importance to the senior leaders and preferring people who have joined recently. Many seniors are reportedly upset with this and Raghavaiah was among the prominent one. The other reasons is, there is a wide discussion that Jana Sena has a hidden mutual understanding with Telugu Desam and having not liked this, Raghavaiah made up his mind to quit.
Not just Raghavaih, the official spokesperson of Jana Sena, Addepalli Sridhar got completely silent post the elections. He is staying away from party activities since long and now with Raghavaiah’s exit, Jana Sena is getting blows after blows. Not just among political circles, even Jana Sena cadre is discussing about senior getting a bad treatment from the party high command
The election results still have three weeks’ time and these episodes are disturbing the cadre. During the elections, many anticipated tickets and having getting snubbed, aspirants have already left Jana Sena. Now this situation has brought back the tense atmosphere.

Trouble for Heritage if YS Jagan becomes CM?
With YSR Congress claiming that they are going to form the government in Andhra Pradesh, many officials in the government have began getting in touch with the party President Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. It is believed that is Jagan becomes the Chief Minister, then there could be more trouble for AP Chief Minister and TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu along with his family-run Heritage Group.
YSR Congress leaders have been making allegations on Heritage as the one responsible for the closure of Ongole Dairy which has been profitable till 2014 and the losses dairy farmers have been facing ever since. Further, YSR Congress also had raised an issue of the quality of Heritage milk being supplied as there were rumours of formalin mixed in excess quantities.
Additionally, the party had been blaming Chandrababu and Heritage for being responsible for the closure of Chittoor Dairy to benefit his business group. They alleged that despite protests from Chittoor dairy farmers, Chandrababu’s government did not bother about their sufferings. They also claimed that private dairies have been exploring small and marginal farmers and making profits.
