Rajasekhar Planning a Manam with Daughters!
Actor Rajasekhar recently appeared as angry cop in ‘Kalki’ that received mixed reviews.He is unfazed by the negative reactions about the film and is promoting it aggressively. He said the film is made for mass audiences.
The actor has also rubbished the reports that he has teamed up with Nandamuri Balakrishna in a film.“I don’t know where did these stories originate. Probably I have to investigate them,” he joked.
Although he is open to playing negative roles and in special roles in other star movies, he said he has no film with Balakrishna at the moment.Talking about his daughters becoming heroines, Rajasekhar admits that he is very liberal person and has encouraged their daughters to pursue their dreams.
In South India, stars launch their sons with much fanfare in the movie industry but don’t allow their daughters to take up acting. But Rajasekhar’s younger daughter Shivathmika has already finished her first film “Dorasani” that is releasing this month.
Interestingly, Rajasekhar wants to do a Manam-like film with his daughters and his wife Jeevitha.
AP’s GST Collection Shocks Centre
Even as AP’s rightful demands are unfulfilled by the Centre, Andhra Pradesh has set a new record by collecting highest GST tax in the country during 2018-19 financial year. As per reports, AP has collected a whopping Rs 20,746 Crore GST in FY 2018-19 which is highest among the big states in the country.
In 2017-18, when GST was actually implemented for first time, AP had collected Rs 10,826 Crore as the GST for 8 months. Hence, AP saw a growth of 27.75 percent in GST collection in 2018-19 compared with 2017-18. AP had received a revenue loss compensation of Rs 280 Crore in the first year of GST implementation. Whereas, AP hasn’t sought any compensation in the following year.
Since the projected revenue targets have been met every month by AP, the compensation doesn’t arise. As per the GST law, the Centre compensates the States if the revenue is less than 14 percent of the base year. While AP’s projected revenue was estimated at 1660.99 Crore per month in 2018-19 fiscal, it collected 1728.84 crore on average thus achieving a growth of 27.75 percent. It is learnt that AP’s GST collection has shocked the officials in the Centre.
According to the Finance Department, the protected revenue of AP for this year is fixed at 1892.99 Crore and the target is to cross 2000 Crore per month.

Who Will Take The Risk? Superstar Or Stylish Star
Sankranthi is the favourite season for Tollywood heroes. Being the year’s first release, if heroes score a hit, they would wish to continue the same form for the rest of the year. For next year Sankranthi three releases are confirmed. Nandamuri Balakrishna, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun are coming with their respective movies. Among these three, Mahesh’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and Allu Arjun – Trivikram combination are biggies.
Being huge films, there should be a minimum gap of five days between the releases so that the distributors and even the producers will be on safer side. However who will come first, we mean which film will hit the box office is something not known. The trend suggest that the film which releases first will have more negative impact as if the film doesn’t get audience impression, it would be advantage the second film. This phenomenon was proved couple of times too.
Releasing first is a risky stuff and who will dare to do it. The producers of Mahesh and Bunny films did not have a word on it so far and we might expect it in the coming days so that they can accommodate theatres as per that.
2020 Sankranthi is falling in Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This means the film should go for the ahead weekend release. January 10th happens to be Friday and who will grab this release date should be watched out for.
Samantha Charging 2 Crore for Oh Baby?
Samantha is said to be charging a bomb for Oh Baby. If industry sources are to be believed, Samantha’s charging highest-ever fee in her career for Oh Baby. Talk is Samantha hasn’t sought her remuneration up right. But apart from some advance, Samantha said to have sought share in profits of theatrical business.
As per trade analysts and pre-release business, Sam is estimated to be getting Rs 2 Crore as her share for Oh Baby. Since the film is also being released in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and overseas markets, cashing in on Samantha’s craze, the makers are expecting the film to do reasonably well in those markets as well.
Talk is that besides Sam’s 2 Crore remuneration, the film’s production cost is estimated to be 6 Crore including remuneration of technicians and other cast and the original Korean producer Hyunwoo Thomas Kim, of Miss Granny, is said to be charging a royalty of 10 Crore. Thus the total budget of the film is estimated at 18 Crore. Suresh Productions and People’s Media Factory have joined as partners. So, one has to wait and see, how the film would fare at ticket windows and whether it would recover 18 Crore share to get into profit zone.
Mine and Lokesh’s Life Under Threat: Chandrababu
Former CM Chandrababu Naidu has moved High Court seeking an increase of security to him and his family. Naidu has sought the High Court to direct the state government to increase his security in addition to the NSG (National Security Guard) commandos given by the Centre. Naidu claimed that his life is under risk and he is in the hit list of Maoists.
Recalling how Maoists had attacked him on October 1st, 2003 at Alipiri, Chandrababu pointed out that he and his son Lokesh’s life is under severe threat after an encounter that took place in October 2016 in Andhra-Odisha border. Naidu also cited the report of an English daily newspaper which reported that there is a Maoist threat to him and his son’s life. Chandrababu also recalled the brutal killing of then Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and ex MLA Siveri Soma in September 2018.
Naidu said AP state government has reduced his security from 25th June without any prior notice or information. He said only two plus two security is being provided by the state government. Naidu noted that his government had provided 7 plus 7 security to then opposition leader YS Jagan during 2014 to 2019.
Chandrababu, who is the leader of Opposition, in his petition, appealed that he has threat from Maoists, Red Sandal smugglers and mafia and also from his political opponents pertaining to the decisions he had taken when he was in power. He said he had taken serious measures against red sandal smuggling during his tenure as the CM. Naidu, who served as the CM of united AP for nine years, has also served as the CM of bifurcated AP from 2014 to 2019. He had also served as Opposition Leader in united Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2014. Citing his previous experiences and the threat from Maoists, Smugglers, Chandrababu appealed to the court to direct the state government to retain the previous security to him and his family.
Nivetha Makes A Terrific Comeback!
After Nithya Menen, one more Kerala beauty Nivetha Thomas earned the reputation of being a performer. She made turn many heads with her debut film and then Nivetha went on to pair with Young Tiger Jr NTR. Though the role she did in ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ was small, it had its importance. But the film could not live up to the expectations at the box office and so industry folks decided that Nivetha doesn’t fit with star heroes.
Later Nivetha Thomas did a small titled ‘Juliet Lover of Idiot.’ This film failed miserably and Nivetha registered her first flop in Telugu. Nevertheless, she did not fall back in the competition. She waited for her turn and picked up the right scripts. Nandamuri Kalyanram’s ‘118’ and ‘Brochevarevarura’ are the films she signed simultaneously.
Both ‘118’ and ‘Brochevarevarura’ turned hits and now Nivetha is becoming a safe bet for small film producers. With the success, projects are also lining up for Nivetha too. She has ‘V’ under the direction of Indraganti Mohan Krishna. For the third time she is pairing with Nani and if this film also scores a hit, then Nivetha can hike her remuneration. Simultaneously this Kerala Kutty is also looking Tamil and Malayalam industry and trying to cash every opportunity that knocks her way.
Heroine Failed To Use This Like Vijay Devarakonda
Even though if there are no big films in hand, one has to stay in the limelight by keeping themselves in the news. And that is how our heroes and heroines increase their brand value. But it looks like this Arjun Reddy actress is yet to know such things.
After the super success of Arjun Reddy movie, even heroine Shalini Pandey got the critical acclaim along with Vijay Devarakonda for her portrayal of Preethi. And then, when the film got remade in Hindi as Kabir Singh, Vijay is all praises for Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, and after the release, he has sent gifts as well to them. Vijay is making sure that he talks about his director and the Hindi leads on social media.
But Shalini Pandey is neither seen endorsing the movie, nor she spoke about the release, even though Kabir Singh made 180 crores net already (from 10 days) and might touch the mighty 250 crore club in its lifetime. But still, Shalini seems to have no clue about this as she never spoke about it on her social media, where she is super active.
Many wonders why the actress is not cashing on the craze rather enjoying a holiday in the USA and sharing those bikini pictures. After Arjun Reddy, she featured in two unsuccessful Telugu films, NTR and 118, but got four Tamil films in hand now.
