Jersey Has Cooled Down Worrying Mega Fans

Share

Ever since hero Nani has announced that his next film that is being directed by Vikram K Kumar of Manam fame is titled “Gang Leader” there is a bit of disappointing expression from some mega fans.

These Mega fans thought that Ram Charan will be coming up with a movie for which he will use the title Gang Leader. For the same reason, earlier Sai Dharam Tej has dropped out from using this title for his previous movie Supreme. And the latest buzz has that mega fans are now cooled down over Nani’s move.

After watching Nani’s Jersey, many got an idea of how the hero will choose his stories and what he will do for the film to go pretty forward. Going by that, mega fans got the clarity that Nani will do complete justice to the film and to the title Gang Leader as well.

Let’s see what Vikram Kumar and Nani will do finally in theaters. Currently the film’s shooting is going on.

Will Avengers ‘End’ the ‘Game’ Of Our Three Films?

Share

Other day with the premieres of ‘Avengers End Game’ confirming that the film is a terrific treat for the fans of Marvel Comic universe fans, everyone is waiting with bated breath to see what impact the film will have on Telugu box office.

Actually, when Majili got released, Telugu theatres were empty and waiting for the right films to happen. That helped Majili, followed by Chitralahari as well. And with the arrival of Jersey, the situation turned a bit tight. And now that Avengers is coming, there will be a choking situation for all these movies.

Buzz has that if Avengers entertains, all the Telugu films will fall in trouble as children might make their families run to theatres of this movie owing to the fact that they want their Summer holidays to get more excited.

We have to see this weekend to find out what will be going on exactly at the Telugu box office anyway.

First Heroine Comes for the Flop Hero?

Share

Actress Avika Gor seems to be planning her return to the films after a brief hiatus. The popular TV actress made her debut in Tollywood with Uyyala Jampala, opposite Raj Tarun. After doing a small role in Nikhil’s ‘Ekadiki Pothavu Chinnavada’, she stopped acting in TV and films.

Avika has put her career on hold for last couple years and she had a reason to it. The Balika Vadhu actress said she took a break from TV and films to ‘plan what she needs in life’. Looks like her break has worked in favour of her, as Avika is reportedly in talks for two big Telugu projects.

One of them is a Dil Raju’s production, and other has Mega actor Sai Dharam Tej in the lead. Dil Raju’s film with Iddari Lokam Okate with Raj Tarun, may be bringing back Avika Gor. On other hand, director Maruthi also is considering the young actress for his upcoming project with Sai Dharam Tej. The discussions are said to be in preliminary stage for now. However, an official announcement is expected as soon as she gets finalized in those projects.

Will Jagan be better for Centre’s relations with AP?

Share

Ever since the refusal of Special Status to Andhra Pradesh and the Centre’s apathy towards providing financial assistance for Amaravati and Polavaram Project as well as implementing promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, the relations between Andhra Pradesh and the Centre have strained. With the ruling Telugu Desam Party breaking off its ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and walking out of the NDA in early 2018, the Centre-state relations have gone from bad to worse.

So much so that the BJP began using public institutions such as ED, I-T and CBI for political vendetta against TDP MPs and MLAs. While it is a known fact that the BJP government under Modi-Shah dup has definitely overstepped its line of duty and broke protocol several times, Andhra Pradesh has only got a raw deal. Further, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s battle against Narendra Modi got louder with the formation of the Mahaghatbandhan, with an alliance of all anti-BJP allies.

While the idea had Congress play a leader role, this ticked off the BJP on the wrong side, further worsening Naidu-Modi war. Besides constant bickering and criticism, Naidu also resorted to expose Modi’s failures which did not go down well with the Centre. As the raids on TDP MPs continues, the BJP allied with YSR Congress, TDP’s rival party in the state and the neighbouring TRS party which has pitched itself as Telangana’s only political saviour to end TDP’s presence in the state.

With the help of TRS and YSRCP, the BJP has worked its ways in creating negative propaganda to hit back at the TDP, in which it has partially succeeded. However, the TDP’s use of ”Andhra” sentiment against the TRS and showing YSRCP as a friend of the TRS which plotted against AP along with the BJP, Chandrababu could gain an upper hand in the election campaign in Andhra Pradesh. However, as he had reported earlier, if Narendra Modi government retains its power at the Centre following Lok Sabha poll results, it would become really tough for Chandrababu to get Centre’s help, in the current situation.

However, Chandrababu’s presence is required at the helm to complete the pending capital construction works as well as the Polavaram Project which is claimed to be the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. But, in terms of Centre-State relations, political observers say that Jagan could be a good fit. On one hand, he will remain a loyal ally to the BJP so that his cases are swept under the carpet during his CM-ship tenure and on the other hand, TRS in Telangana would want a weak CM in AP for it to show off that it is performing better than AP in all sectors.

While YSR Congress has pitched Jagan as the ”change” agent, he may be good for Cooperative Federalism under the BJP government. But, will this change also being development and prosperity to Andhra Pradesh, is something that is yet to be seen.

Impressed Chiru Gets A Full Role for Anasuya

Share

Though Anasuya has refused to take up some glamorous roles on the silver screen, she’s always known for that hotness on the small screen. But the role of Rangamatta she played in Rangasthalam, has given her scope to showcase her acting prowess.

Since then she hasn’t appeared in any big roles on the screen, but the role of a lifetime is said to have fallen in her kitty now. Apparently, director Koratala Siva is said to have offered a unique, story driven and author backed role to Anasuya in his upcoming film that features Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Reports are coming that Megastar himself has handpicked Anasuya for this role as the character needs both a dose of commercial glamour and also a bit of acting. She is said to be appearing throughout the length of the movie alongside Chiru and his main actors in the movie.

Once Chiru completes the balance portions of Sye Raa, he will be joining the shoot of Koratala Siva’s movie. Most likely Nayantara and Tamanna will be playing female leads in this film.

2 Crores For Vijayasanthi: Mahesh Pouring A Bomb

Share

We do have earlier revealed that former lady superstar Vijayashanti will be seen in a crucial role in Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film to be directed by Anil Ravipudi. That will reunite the two stars after three decades, as they have played mother and step-son earlier in films like Koduku Diddina Kaapuram.

Reports are coming that the actress is getting paid a whopping 2 crores to star in this movie. While the movie is being produced by Anil Sunkara, there are rumours that Mahesh and his wife Namrata are calling all the shots related to the production of the movie. And the way they are pouring a bomb of budget on remunerations is a stunner.

Already they have agreed to pay 10 crores to director Anil Ravipudi owing to the fact that his F2 is a bigger hit than many other commercial films in recent times. And now they brought Vijayasanthi aboard by paying 2 crores, a sum some hot and star heroines like Nayantara and Anushka would demand.

We have to see how many high paid celebs will join this project furthers.

‘My wife will leave me if I join politics’

Share

The above statement is made by none other than former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Raghuram Rajan. Post the BJP led NDA government denying him second term as RBI chief, there were reports that Raghuram will join politics. But these reports remained untrue till date.

Speaking about, Rajan said, ”Politics everywhere is similar. The point is I have no interest in politics. My wife has said she will not stay with me if I join politics.” There are speculations that if Congress is voted to power in New Delhi, Rajan is likely to be inducted in the cabinet. Reacting on this, the ex-RBI boss said he is happy wherever he is.

On BJP led NDA government, Rajan said he doesn’t find any dissimilarities between NDA and UPA as both the government are working reforms. The future reforms that can tackle the economic challenges will be the high priority of the next government.

Rajan’s words say that he is supporting neither UPA nor NDA but wants the successive governments to focus on economy and creating jobs for the next generation.

That is why I quit TDP and joined TRS: Errabelli

Share

For three decades, Errabelli Dayakar Rao was in Telugu Desam and got a name that he was the true loyalist of Chandrababu Naidu. Post the separate state, Errabelli continued in TDP but he was always looking at TRS. Finally KCR had managed to influence Errabelli and now the Palakurthi MLA is a minister in the TRS government.

After becoming minister Errabelli changed the tone and said that he was deceived by Chandrababu Niadu and it was KCR who stuck to his word and gave him ministry. Now Errabelli revealed why he quit TDP and joined TRS.

”TDP is completely dead in Telangana and the party has no future. Very soon Congress party will meet the same fate. The only party for Telangana is TRS and so I joined it,” Errabelli. He further added that every leader will certainly feel bad when they quit their first party, like so he did too experienced the same he resigned to TDP.

Somewhat these statements are confusing. Is Errabelli happy or sad leaving TDP and joining TRS? Only he knows.

Chandrababu to intensify stir in Delhi for 50% VVPAT counting

Share

AP Chief Minister and Telugu Desam national president N. Chandrababu Naidu said he, along with the support of various other political parties, would stage a protest in New Delhi demanding that 50 per cent of the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) should be counted. He claimed that some non-voluntary organisations (NGOs) were also coming forward for the cause. He said that the NGOs would conduct awareness programmes on VVPATs. ”We will write letters to the VVPAT experts in the country soon,” he said.

In the teleconference held with the party leaders and functionaries, Chandrababu said that there was a need to put the EC on track, when it was taking decisions unilaterally. He added that the political leaders at the national-level were surprised to know that a few people cast their votes at 4.30 am.

Chandrababu told his cadre that their fight was against the poll panel but not against the poll officials posted to the state. All the officials, except those executing the poling related works, will have to work under the government. He lauded the government officials for the support they extended to him during the last five years. He alleged that some people with vested interests were trying to divide them in the name of caste and religion.

On the irregularities in TS Inter results, Chandrababu said that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and TRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao was being trolled for it on the social media for the goof-up.

Commenting on review meetings, he said that from May 1, review meetings will be held with the area coordinators in each constituency. Revolving fund would be arranged for the party cadre, Chandrababu informed and added that in a democracy, the cadre is the only reliable thing for any political party. Officials are also necessary. Both the systems are essential, he said.

Now Konda knocks High Court doors

Share

A day after the Nampally court rejecting the anticipatory bail petition, Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has approached the High Court for the same.

Advocate on behalf of Konda claimed that this is a political vendetta of the ruling TRS party to trouble him and so the government is deliberately putting fake cases against him and trying to arrest him. After hearing the arguments, the High Court has put off its decision to Monday.

Before the Lok Sabha elections, Konda’s personal advocate was caught with Rs 15 Lakh cash in Gachibowli Hyderabad. Based on this, the police had been to Konda’s residence to issue notices. But Konda reportedly held captive of an SI and Head Constable for couple of days.

Later the police officials were let off and the two men have filed a complaint against Konda in Banajara Hills. An FIR was registered and an arrest warrant was out too. To escape from arrest Konda applied for an anticipatory bail. But the Nampally court rejected Konda’s plea.

Ever since the arrest warrant was issued, Konda went into hiding and it’s been more than a week that the police are unable to catch hold of the Chevella MP.

New intelligence chief not reporting to Naidu!

Share

When senior IPS officer A B Venkateshwara Rao was the Director General of Police (Intelligence) in Andhra Pradesh government, he used to report directly to Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, even when there was a model code of conduct in force for the elections.

Following a complaint from YSR Congress party that Venkateshwara Rao was acting like a TDP agent and targeting the opposition, the Election Commission immediately shifted him from the post and replaced him with another senior IPS officer Kumar Vishwajeet on March 31. After the elections, Rao was appointed as DGP of Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Now, Vishwajeet, being an intelligence chief, has to report to the chief minister directly, as per the norms, but chief electoral officer Gopala Krishna Dwivedi apparently instructed him not to report to Naidu, but to newly appointed chief secretary L V Subrahmanyam directly.

This has infuriated Naidu. On Friday, he dashed off a nine-page strongly worded letter to the Chief Election Commissioner questioning the authority of the CEO.

“Dwivedi told the media that the chief minister does not have the power to conduct review meetings when the model code of conduct in force. He also directed ADG (Intelligence) not to report to me. This is nothing but exceeding his jurisdiction,” he said.

Naidu pointed out that there was no such provision in the model code of conduct that intelligence chief should not report to the CM.

“Intelligence chief directly works under the control of the chief minister. How can he not report to me? I am a democratically elected chief minister and not a caretaker CM,” he said.

He asked whether the EC had also directed Intelligence Bureau Director and the National Security Advisor not to meet and brief Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Why are these discriminating orders being issued only in case of Andhra Pradesh? The EC has no authority to bar an elected government from discharging its duties,” he said.

He pointed out that the Modi government had held a cabinet meeting on April 15 despite the model code of conduct being in force and even today, regular security briefings and meetings were taking place at the central level.

“Even the chief minister of Telangana is conducting review meetings regularly”, he pointed out.

He said since there is a large gap of 42 days before the results are announced on May 23, the normal administration cannot be allowed to come to a standstill.

“Since the electorate has already exercised their franchise, the EC has no jurisdiction to stop any review meeting or briefing,” he said.

Modi biopic to release after LS polls, SC will not step in

Share

The Supreme Court on Friday refused to interfere with the Election Commission on the biopic “PM Narendra Modi”.

The poll panel told the court that movie should be released only after the Lok Sabha elections got over.

The seven phased polls began on April 11, when the biopic was to release. The polls will get over on May 19 and the counting on votes in May 23.

To secure level playing ground, the poll panel was asked to take a call.

After Jagan, Naidu also wants to ‘chill out’!

Share

After the polling for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh concluded on April 11, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy left for Switzerland along with his family to escape from the summer heat and chill out there.

Obviously, Jagan needed the much-needed break after hectic political activity in the last two years. He will be returning on April 27 evening.

On the other hand, Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu did not take any rest.

While creating a ruckus over the failure of Electronic Voting Machines in and outside Andhra Pradesh, Naidu kept himself busy with reviews with officials and also with party leaders. He also campaigned for other parties in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Now, at last, the TDP chief has realized that he, too, needs mental and physical rest for some time. So, he and his family members left for Himachal Pradesh on Friday. He would be spending some time to relax and escape from the summer heat in Vijayawada and Amaravati.

It is very much essential for Naidu to have the break as he has entered 70 years and has to overcome the strain. So, when 46-year old Jagan can chill out after the hectic electioneering, Naidu also decided to chill out in Himalayas. He is expected to return by Monday evening.

Whenever there is an opportunity, Naidu loves to spend some time with his grandson Nara Devansh. Even a day before the polling, the TDP chief was found playing with the grandson in the lawns of his office-cum-residence at Vundavalli.

Hope Naidu will get the mental peace in the snow mountains by playing with his grandson and returns to the city. A victory or a defeat in the elections should matter much for him!

Paul surfaces again after hibernation!

Share

After the completion of assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, maverick evangelist and Praja Shanti Party president K A Paul could not be seen anywhere.

Initially for a couple of days after the polling, Paul made a lot of hungama on the alleged failrues of electronic voting machines, on the lines of Telugu Desam Party. He even went to New Delhi to make a representation to EC authorities on the EVMs’ malfunctioning.

He appeared in a television channel to explain how he had transformed from a hard core evangelist to a full-fledged politician. He did not bother about the trolling he has been receiving in the social media.

Later, Paul completely disappeared from the scene. On Friday, he surfaced again but not in Andhra Pradesh. He was found in Sri Lanka, where there were massive bomb explosions by ISIS terrorists killing over 350 people.

Apparently, Paul went there to pray for those who died in the church and hotel blasts. All said and done, he is a popular evangelist who has a huge following in several countries even now. May be, he went to Sri Lanka on the same mission.

Despite being in Colombo, Paul expressed shock over a spate of suicides by students who failed in the Intermediate examinations due to goof-up by the Telangana state intermediate board. In an emotional message, he appealed to student not to take extreme steps.

He also expressed confidence that Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao will do justice to the failed Intermediate students and warned that if KCR did not do justice for them, he would take up the fight against him.

He added that he responded lately over this issue as because there are some restrictions imposed on usage of internet in Sri Lanka. He asked the people to pray for the families who lost their dear ones in Sri Lanka bomb blasts.
