Chiru Names his Fan’s Son as ‘Pawan Shankar’
Megastar Chiranjeevi is popularly known for his good deeds and kind personality. His good heart proved many times that he owns a lot of good traits than bad. Though he has a seemingly limitless amount of money, Chiru never hesitates in helping strangers and his fans.
The recent incident where the actor invited one of his ardent fans and his family members to his residence has now become the talk of the town. He said to have spoken to them amicably for about one hour. Chiru’s fan, Nakka Venkateshwara Rao, hails from the Godavari district and he said that he adores the Megastar ever since his childhood days. He also worked productively for Praja Rajyam party in the good olden days.
Venkateshwara Rao also claimed that he was thrown out of his village for nearly five years on working for the party. Soon after knowing this, in 2009, Chiru has met him and helped him financially.
Now, once again the actor met the fan over his request to name his newborn son. Chiranjeevi named Venkateshwara’s son as Pawan Shankar. This incident once again shows that Chiranjeevi cannot stop loving his brother Pawan Kalyan more than anything in the world. Hearing the news, Pawan fans got emotional and praised Chiru for his lovable gesture.
Unexpected: This Blind Guy On Telugu Screen
In recent times, one of the films that stunned Bollywood is none other than Andhadhun that featured Ayushman Khurana in the leading role. And his character, where he appears as a blind man and gets a shocker, in the end, is actually a twist treat to audiences.
A couple of months ago, some Telugu heroes like Naga Chaitanya and others are said to be in consideration for the remake of this film, but it looks like they have no chance now. Actually, Tamil hero Siddharth who made most in Telugu movies before putting his career in doldrums is now signed as the leading man for the Tamil remake of the movie. And in all likelihood, this film would be getting dubbed into Telugu as well.
Telugu film lovers are feeling that some Telugu hero should have come up with this film in our native language. They are not expecting Siddharth at least to come up with this film. On the other hand, Trisha is expected to play the role of Radhika Apte in this movie, thereby reuniting with Siddharth for her fourth outing after Nuvvostanante Nenoddanta, Yuva and Aranmai 2.
Another Big Bubble To Burst?
This is one particular film that has kept everyone on their toes for a long time. Not because of its big theme or big star cast, but for the kind of hype they have created around it. However, inside talk about it is something that not just fans but other cinema lovers would also not love to hear.
They say that this film is like a big bubble and it will get burst in 2019 when it hits cinemas. Why so? Actually, the film has a storyline that is identical to many recent hits and will not be interesting the Telugu audiences who are these days vouching for more realistic stories. At the same time, the execution of a few sequences is said to be pathetic including that of the heroine’s thread.
And then, the over the top branding of this product has already created unwanted talk around the movie, which they fear about now. It has given a feeling that whenever there is no material inside, this particular big hero’s films are getting excessively branded and hyped.
All said and done, there are many films that got flop talk from the editing table but went well with the audiences. Hope the film bursts makers into happiness rather than bombing them with pain.
New Andhra CS digging out old files?
Senior IAS officer L V Subrahmanyam, who has been appointed as the chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh government by the Election Commission during the interim period till the election process is completed, is said to be asserting his position.
Subrahmanyam, known to be a straightforward officer, replaced Anil Kumar Punetha, who was cherry-picked by Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu last year, ignoring seniority norms.
And when the EC appointed Subrahmanyam as the chief secretary, Naidu fretted and fumed at the EC and questioned his appointment on the ground that he was a covert of the YSR Congress party and a co-accused in the Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case.
Naturally, Subrahmanyam was hurt at the allegations hurled against him but remained calm and quiet. But, within a couple of days of assuming charge, he started showing what kind of tough nut he is.
He has refused to attend the meetings called by the chief minister and during the elections, he acted in his own style without bothering about the criticism.
He ordered an inquiry into the allegations of irregularities in the transport of gold belonging to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) from Chennai to Tirupati.
He reportedly called for all the files pertaining to release of funds to various contractors just before the elections for various works, forcing finance secretary M Ravichandra to go on leave.
Subrahmanyam is also understood to have ordered all the other departments, including panchayat raj, municipal administration, energy etc, to furnish the details of their monetary transactions done in the last few weeks.
He is digging out all the old files and GOs to find out whether there were any out-of-turn favours done by the Naidu government.
“He is keeping all the dossiers ready on Naidu for the alleged illegal monetary benefits given to several people. Once the new government takes charge, these dossiers would be used to create troubles for Naidu,” an official source said.
These MLAs have no shame at all!
Yet another Telangana Congress MLA announced that he is defecting to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, taking the overall number of defectors from the Congress into the TRS to 11.
Senior Congress leader Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, who enjoyed very big positions in the party, including chief whip post in the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy regime, defected to the TRS on Monday night, after denying media reports continuously.
The Congress high command respected his seniority and gave him the party ticket from Bhupallpalli to fight against then speaker S Madhusudhana Chary.
His wife Gandra Jyothi, who was made District Congress Committee president ignoring other seniors, also followed her husband to join the TRS.
What is worse is that Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy has claimed that he had taken the decision respecting the aspirations of the people of his constituency.
Since the people had voted for TRS headed by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said he had to respect the people’s sentiments.
This is nothing but a shameless statement. The people of Bhupalpalli did not vote for the TRS but the Congress; so, his decision has no support from the people.
If the people of the constituency had faith in KCR’s leadership, they would have voted for Madhusudhana Chary not Gandra. This applies to all the defectors.
Ironically, Gandra also says if necessary, he would quit all the posts that he had got as a Congress leader. Why “if necessary?” Gandra should stand an example for honest leaders by relinquishing his posts immediately before joining the TRS. It is necessary to prove his sincerity.
Unfortunately, the statement was not given by Gandra, but was prepared by the Pragathi Bhavan staff and he had just signed it. In fact, the format of the statement was same for almost all the Congress MLAs who defected to the TRS.
Congress Legislative Party leader Bhatti Vikramarka said the MLAs should feel ashamed to say that they had no faith in the party high command. It was clear that these MLAs were lured by the TRS with money bags and posts, he alleged.

Sai Reddy Comments Don’t Reflect His Stature!
YSR Congress party general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy generally appears to be very soft-spoken and intellectual material.
But when it comes to attacking the political rivals, Sai Reddy does not look dignified and decent.
Especially when it is Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh, the YSRC leader uses choicest epithets to run them down.
Many neutral observers feel that the words he uses against the rivals and more particularly his tweets, do not augur well for a person of Sai Reddy’s stature. He heckles Naidu and Lokesh using cheap words.
“There is nothing wrong in attacking the political rivals, but a person of Sai Reddy’s position should look dignified in the attack and with proper evidences,” a political analyst observed.
In his eagerness to attack Naidu, sometimes Sai Reddy appears to be conveniently and deliberately giving misleading information.
A day after the polling, Naidu said 30 per cent of the Electronic Voting Machines developed technical snags in the first few hours and at many places, the polling did not start even till afternoon. He suspected the role of technical experts who changed the defunct EVMs.
But Sai Reddy sought to ridicule Naidu by misinterpreting the latter’s statement as 30 per cent of voters could not exercise their franchise and said yet, the TDP is expected to win 130 seats.
Similarly, for the last couple of days, he sought to run down former CBI joint director and Jana Sena Party leader V V Lakshminarayana with his silly tweets. He wondered how the Jana Sena would win 88 assembly seats, when it contested only 65 seats.
When JD tried to clarify that his party had contested in 145 seats, Sai Reddy shot back how the Jana Sena would consider the seats secretly left for the TDP as part of understanding.
Lakshminarayana gave a dignified reply to Sai Reddy’s tweets, but when the latter started turning out to be discourteous, the Jana Sena leader stopped responding saying he did not want to join issue with people like Sai Reddy.
It is better Sai Reddy confines himself to the role of an advisor to Jagan, rather than behaving like a cheap politician.
Protest over Telangana intermediate board fiasco
Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TBIE) here for a second consecutive day on Tuesday as students continued their protest over the goof-ups in intermediate examination results.
Dozens of students belonging to various groups were arrested as they tried to stage sit-in in front of TBIE office in Nampally in the heart of the city, demanding justice to students who appeared in 11th and 12th standard examinations.
Professor K. Nageshwar Rao, a former legislator who reached the TBIE office to express solidarity with the protesting students, was also arrested. He demanded immediate action against those responsible for lapses in the results.
Large number of policemen were deployed at the office, which remained out of bounds for students seeking redressal of their grievances. They remained clueless on applying for re-valuation of the answer sheets as they were not allowed to enter the board office. Students complained that they could not even apply online as the board’s website was not functioning.
Opposition parties and student groups have alleged that the bungling by the board led to suicide of 16 students.
Balala Hakkula Sangham, a NGO working for children’s rights, approached Telangana High Court on Tuesday, seeking direction to the government to order re-valuation of all answer sheets. It also sought a thorough probe into the lapses and compensation to the families of the students who ended their lives.
A total of 9 lakh students had appeared in the intermediate exams held in February-March. The results, announced last Thursday, led to utter chaos. Many bright students who did well in the first year failed in the second year. Most of them were shocked as they were awarded zero, one or two marks.
TBIE Secretary A. Ashok on Monday admitted that there were some lapses in declaring the results. He, however, assured students that the discrepancies would be rectified.
The state government on Monday ordered an inquiry into the alleged lapses in the system deployed by Globarena Technologies, whose services were hired by TBIE to conduct the exams.
A three-member committee, headed by G. T. Venkateswar Rao, Managing Director, Telangana State Technological Service, will find out whether there were any errors in publication of results on account of any systemic errors of the agency. The committee, which also has Professor A. Vassan of BITS Hyderabad and Professor Nishanth Dongari of IIT Hyderabad as its members, has been asked to submit report in three days.
