Dr. Rajasekhar has finally decoded the box office puzzle with Garuda Vega. He realized that his films need to be innovative and different from the rest to get noticed.

He patiently waited for another good script post Garuda Vega and has taken up Kalki with director Prashanth Varma who made an impressive debut with Awe.

Kalki has been attracting eyeballs right from its first poster and the recently released teaser has set high expectations on it.

The film looks to have the potential to be a box office winner which is why it is receiving multiple offers from various corners.

Tamil actor Dhanush has reportedly shown interest to get the all India theatrical rights of Kalki, but the makers have sold the theatrical rights to producer Radha Mohan.

He offered Rs. 12 crore for worldwide theatrical rights of Kalki, which is a huge amount considering Rajasekhar’s market.

Producers C. Kalyan and Rajasekhar are happy with the amount offered by Radha Mohan and sealed the deal.

Although the budget of Kalki is way more than Rs. 12 crore, the makers are sure to fetch handsome offers from non theatrical avenues.

Nani’s Jersey has got unanimous positive talk and good word of mouth. Even critics gave thumbs up to the film and the ratings on ticket booking portals is also great. Yet, the film’s Box Office collections are not on par with the expectation. Given its ultra positive talk, trade analysts opine that the film is under performing.

While the film’s US collections are alright, Jersey’s BO numbers in Telugu markets is lagging. Even in the US, the film is expected to do well given super positive reviews. But surprisingly, the film hasn’t touched 1 million USD mark yet. Till Saturday, Jersey has collected only 726 K USD and the film may touch 1 million USD by Tuesday. It is rumoured that bad planning is one of the reasons for not able to touch 1 Million USD yet.

On the flip side in B & C centres, Raghava Lawrence’s mass entertainer Kanchana 3 has eaten into the collections of Jersey. Despite having mixed reviews, Kanchana 3’s BO numbers are on par with Jersey in Telugu states. Whereas Jersey is reasonably doing well. But that’s not enough. Since Jersey’s world-wide theatrical rights have been estimated at 27 Crore, the film needs to collect 50 Crore world-wide gross to enter into profits.

Amidst this, the challenge is how Nani and team Jersey would increase the promotions and sustain the hype in the coming week. Not an easy road ahead for Jersey.

No doubt Sye Raa is one of the prestigious films in Chiru’s career and a huge amount of expectations are riding on the film. This naturally makes the team nervous and be extremely careful while shooting the film.

In addition to the film being a historical biographical film, erecting that era and paying attention to minute details like costumes, sets all resulting in the delay of the film’s shoot. Sye Raa is running out of schedule. Currently, the film’s shoot is going on in Kerala and the unit is expected to return to Hyderabad and continue the shoot.

Siva’s last release Bharat Ane Nenu was exactly released a year ago. Since a year, Siva has been waiting for Chiru. His next film with Chiru is yet to go onto the floors.

As Sye Raa is home production and Charan himself is bankrolling the movie, Chiru and team may not shift focus on to the next film until the release of Sye Raa. So, Koratala Siva has to wait for 5 more months. Siva has already worked upon the entire script and locked it completely. So, he is waiting for only Chiru to get free from Sye Raa commitment. As of now, Chiru is keeping Siva in dilemma

It was a miraculous escape for actress Raadhika Sarathkumar who has escaped unhurt from Sri Lanka’s serial blasts that claimed the lives of 185 people and injured over 400 people. Raadhika was in Sri Lanka today on a work. She had stayed at Cinnamon Grand. After she wrapped up her work, she came out of the hotel.

After a while, the blast at Cinnamon Grand has taken place leaving many dead and several injured. Shocked with the incident of blasts, Raadhika explained how she escaped from the deadly explosion.

“OMG bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, god be with all. I just left Colombo Cinnamon grand hotel and it has been bombed, can’t believe this shocking,” Raadhika took to Twitter to express the shock.

Her husband and actor Sarath Kumar also stated, “A dastardly act of terror unleashed in Colombo is condemnable, our heart goes out to innocent lives lost in the attack @TamilTheHindu @ThanthiTV @bbctamil.”

According to reports, the blast took place at around 8.45 AM as Easter Sunday masses were in progress. Raadhika might have escaped but several innocent people have died and many were severely injured.

It looks like Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film under the direction of Anil Ravipudi has become a comeback ground for many fading artists. And after the arrival of comedian Bandla Ganesh, who finally left politics for the good, here comes another entry.

Reportedly director Anil Ravipudi is said to have met former heroine and struggling politician Vijayashanti to do a character in their movie. After retiring from playing the lead roles in Telugu films, this actress confined herself to political work but wasn’t seen even at film events. And now, she’s likely to play a key role Mahesh’s next.

Earlier Vijayashanti and Mahesh have worked together when our hero was still a teen, in Krishna’s Koduku Diddina Kapuram that released in 1989. Looks like it will be their reunion on the silver screen after 30 years, but we have to see what is that role she will be playing inside the film. Some say that she will be seen as Mahesh’s mother, but there is no confirmation about it.
