Prabhas And Samantha To Team Up?

Though queen bee Samantha worked with most of the present generation superstars including Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and Jr NTR, she never shared the screen with Baahubali Prabhas. And it looks like that feat is going to happen soon.

According to the grapevine, producer Dil Raju is said to have approached Samantha with a special role in his upcoming film that will feature Prabhas in the lead. Though the producer has a beautiful story with him, he is currently searching for a talented director to handle this project.

Though there is no confirmation from any side about this project, already Dil Raju is said to have made a three-film deal with Samantha when he approached her for 96 remakes. So it looks like she might surely star in two more upcoming films of the producer.

In case if Prabhas and Samantha are coming together, then surely it is going to be an interesting project we have to say.

Reddys coming together to oust KCR through BJP!

In Telangana, Reddy community was identified with Congress since generations. But the Reddy community in Telangana has lost its political hold over the past few years.The Congress too has become a ‘damp squib’ in Telangana due to consecutive electoral defeats since 2014 at the hands of TRS and largescale defections of its leaders into TRS.

With this, Reddy community in Telangana came to a firm opinion that they cannot achieve power through Congress or defeat KCR through Congress and are looking for a fresh alternative to regain power and oust KCR.

The BJP is learnt to have offered a better platform for Reddy community in Telangana to fight against KCR and regain power.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah are learnt to have given an assurance to Reddy community that BJP will stood behind Reddys and extend all the required support in their fight against KCR.

This seems to be fetching results for BJP in the Lok Sabha polls itself.

Noted leaders from Reddy community namely DK Aruna (Congress), AP Jithender Reddy (TRS), Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy (Congress) have joined BJP within a gap of one week and working for BJP’s victory.

Few more top Reddy leaders are expected to join BJP after Lok Sabha polls.

The BJP has been targeting 2023 Assembly polls in Telangana by inducting strong leaders from Reddy community to take on TRS as it feels that Congress has lost its ground completely in Telangana and BJP will fill that vacuum by encouraging Reddy leaders to fight against TRS.

Hero Nagarjuna who graced the pre-release event of ‘Majili’ said “Maa Manchi Abbayiki Manchi Ammayi Dorikindi” (Our good boy got a good girl in his life) referring about Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.

“Everyone talked about technicians. But I would like to talk about Chay and Sam. Both have worked for ‘Manam’ with me. But I had no clue about their romance. One day Sam came home and our dog went running towards Sam. Then I got to know something is brewing. Then you know all,” said Nag revealing an episode of Chay and Sam love story.

Then he added, “When I watched the teaser, I felt little bit pain. But the trailer made me cry twice and wonder how many times, the movie will make my eyes moist.”

Victory Venkatesh hugged Naga Chaitanya on the stage after watching the trailer.

“A while before director Shiva said, audience would like to hug Chaitanya after watching the movie. Why till there, I will do it now. ‘Majili’ is going to be one of the best films for Chay and Sam,” added Venky.

Then it was Naga Chaitanya’s turn and he thanked Nag and Venky for gracing ‘Majili’ event and added that both are his pillars of strength.

“I really had no thought after marriage me and Sam will do a film so quickly but I should thank director Shiva for giving me this role as it gave me immense satisfaction as an actor. We made the film with lot of confidence and Shiva gave it. He is the most honest person I ever met in the industry. Sam’s character will be remembered in every home after watching ‘Majili’ and I thank her for being my support on and off screen always,” said Naga Chaitanya.

“There is a positivity with Nag mama and Venky’s presence. ‘Majili’ is a unique honest love story which says love means a hidden energy, a courage and responsibility. After ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ and ‘Manam,’ I believe that ‘Majili’ will always be very special. I don’t think it will be good if I talk about my husband on stage. Thank you Thaman for making the last minute help,” said Samantha who spoke first among the four.

Mamata, Kejriwal disappoint Naidu!

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu invited several national leaders for his mega rally at Visakhapatnam on Sunday, but finally only West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal responded and attended the rally.

But at the end of the day, both Mamata and Kejriwal disappointed Naidu. Not that they did not speak in favour of Naidu at the rally.

Both of them praised Naidu for his leadership and his efforts to build an anti-Modi front at the national level.

However, Mamata and Kejri did not utter a word against YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, as was expected by Naidu.

While the TDP president castigated Modi for being a chowkidar of Jagan’s alleged corruption, the two national leaders confined themselves to attacking Modi and spoke only on national issues.

They did not even take the name of Jagan, while asking the people to strengthen the hands of Naidu. So, that would hardly benefit Naidu. It appeared they were more interested in promoting themselves, rather than Naidu.

Interestingly, when Kejriwal and Mamata were speaking, the stadium was packed with crowds, but the moment Naidu started speaking, people started leaving the grounds. It was so boring that people started commenting as there was nothing new in his speech.

So, the writing is very clear on the wall in Andhra!

Niharika, younger daughter of Nagababu, made debut in ‘Oka Manasu’. Given her popularity on small screen as anchor, producers have come forward to produce three films but all of them have tanked at the box-office.

Last weekend’s release ‘Suryakantam’ has not registered decent openings any where.

The film’s events were attended by Vijay Deverakonda and her brother Varun Tej has presented the film but youngsters have not turned up at the theaters to check out this rom-com.

Even Mega fans are not showing interest to watch her movies. With three flops in a row, Niharika’s career is looking dull.

Harish Rao is looking up to BJP?

A popular English daily in Hyderabad came up with an exclusive story on Monday that senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao is looking up to joining the Bharatiya Janata Party.

According to the report, top BJP leadership has approached Harish Rao and held talks with him, promising him to make the chief ministerial candidate in the next elections.

The saffron party, which is looking for a strong leader to galvanise the cadres, could not find a better leader than Harish Rao.

On his part, Harish Rao, too wants a platform to display his strength.

He has realized that there is no future for him in the TRS as the entire power has been granted to TRS working president K T Rama Rao, son of party founder and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Having been completely sidelined in the TRS without even being given a cabinet berth, Harish Rao is also considering the BJP offer.

However, he will wait till the Lok Sabha elections are over and if there is a possibility of Narendra Modi returning to power again, he will take a plunge into the BJP. Otherwise, he will have to wait for the right opportunity.

While the daily, at the end of the story, indicated that it was just an April Fools’ Day prank, analysts do not rule out such a possibility.

In fact, Harish had, indeed, made such an attempt in the past and KCR, who sensed it at the right time, called him and pulled him up. Since then, Harish Rao is lying low.

So, there is no surprise if Harish really does revolt against KCR and takes a plunge into the BJP in the coming days!

RGV film makes big money in Khammam!

Telugu Desam Party headed by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, might have succeeded in stalling the release of controversial political film Lakshmi’s NTR made by maverick director Ram Gopal Varma in Andhra Pradesh by moving the high court.But he could not succeed in killing the enthusiasm of the people of Andhra to watch the film.

Thousands of people who shuttle between Hyderabad and Andhra every week end evinced interest in watching the film in Telangana, during their visit to the joint capital in the weekend – on Saturday and Sunday.What is more interesting is that thousands of Andhra people in the borders areas of Telangana sneaked into Khammam to watch RGV’s film just out of curiosity.

The film, based on Naidu’s conspiracy to dethrone his father-in-law N T Rama Rao, evinced a lot of curiosity among the viewers of Andhra and brought rich dividends to theatre owners in Khammam.In the last three days, the theatres in Khammam ran to packed houses, thanks to visit by Andhra people in large numbers.

According to a media report, people from Nandigama, Tiruvur, Mylavaram, and Nuzivid Assembly segments in the Krishna district and Chintalapudi, Polavaram, and Jangareddygudem in the West Godavari district of AP thronged theatres in Aswaraopet, Sattupalli, and Madhira to watch the film where it was being screened.

Around 200 villages in the two AP districts are within a 30-km distance from these three towns in Khammam district.Sources said YSR Congress party leaders arranged the facility for the transport of people from these areas to Khammam to see the film.Even if the film makes one per cent difference in the poll prospects of YSRC, it is more than enough for it!

Jeevitha and Rajasekhar join YSRC party

Hyderabad: Actor couple Jeevitha and Rajasekhar on Monday re-joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP).They called on YSRCP president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy at his Lotus Pond residence and formally joined the party.

Rajasekhar later told reporters that they met Jagan after a long time. He said that all the bitterness between them was over, now and also admitted that he had behaved immaturely.He remarked that “today’s Jagan is different from the earlier Jagan”.The couple appealed to people of Andhra Pradesh to give a chance to Jagan to serve them. They exuded confidence in the YSRCP chief to become the Chief Minister and assured him of their support.

The couple had joined the Congress in 2008 when Jagan’s father Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh. After YSR’s death in a helicopter crash in 2009, they backed Jagan in the revolt against Congress leadership. They were with him when he floated YSRCP but later distanced themselves.

They alleged that Jagan was running the party like fiefdom.In 2014, Jeevitha and Rajasekhar had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party but were not rewarded with suitable positions.

RGV announces his next titled ‘Sasikala’

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has announced a biopic on the life of Late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and her close aide Sasikala titled “Sasikala”.

Varma shared a poster featuring Jayalalithaa and Sasikala which read: “The story of a relationship set against merciless men, prisons and Mannargudi gangs. ‘Sasikala’. Love is dangerously political. A Ram Gopal Varma film”

He captioned the poster: “Happy to announce! Coming very soon!”

Details related to the film are still under wraps.

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma is a true follower of Akkineni but surprisingly he tweeted and deleted his comments that he made on ‘Majili’ trailer.Using some explicit words, RGV said ‘Majili’ trailer gave him the ultimate pleasure and it is the true measurement of anything.

“I am frankly not blown away by you but if the awesome @Samanthaprabhu2 is blown away by you, am sure you must be having something to blow about,” tweeted RGV.After sometime, RGV might have opined that he crossed the line as he has immense respect towards the Akkineni family.

Also he thought his comments might bring some bad buzz considering the negativity surrounding him. Further not to harm the trailer, RGV deleted the tweets.On the other hand ‘Majili’ trailer is getting a wonderful response with nearly 1.5 million views already.

The emotional content is what appealed to the audience and even Nagarjuna and Venkatesh are said to be blown away by the trailer.With such a positive vibe, ‘Majili’ is gearing up for release on April 5th.

Naga Babu Following Allu Aravind!

In 2009, producer Allu Aravind, brother-in-law of Megastar Chiranjeevi, contested from Anakapalli Loksabha constituency on Praja Rajyam party ticket.At that time, Allu Aravind used to say that their party Praja Rajyam would win 292 seats out of 294.

He stood at third place in Anakapalli while Congress party’s Sabbam Hari won the seat. Praja Rajyam party secured only 18 seats in entire Andhra Pradesh.Now Andhra Pradesh is divided into two states. The new state of AP has 175 assembly seats and 25 parliament seats.
