Niharika Konidela Cannot Get A Better Chance!

Nagababu’s daughter, fondly known as Mega Princess, Niharika Konidela entered film industry with the hopes of becoming a successful heroine. However, she hasn’t scored a hit yet in spite of making multiple appearances on screen already.

She has pinned lot of hopes on her upcoming film Suryakantham in which she plays a bubbly role that suits her off screen persona.The film is slated for release on this Friday. Pre-release buzz for Suryakantham has been low, but it has the advantage of releasing during the drought period at Telugu box office.

It has been a while since a notable film had hit the screens. Suryakantham will duly get noticed by the critics and film buffs if it manages to generate decent buzz.It may clash with Lakshmi’s NTR that is likely to hit the marquee on Friday. Being a multiplex film, Suryakantha will have its set of audience in spite of competition.

Can Niharika Konidela make use of this vacuum at the ticket windows to register her first hit?

Harish Rao fading out in TRS!

It looks like former minister and senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislator T Harish Rao is fading out of the party gradually.

At a time when the TRS leadership has stepped up its campaign for the Lok Sabha elections with an objective of capturing 16 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, Harish is nowhere to be seen in the campaign.

What is worse, Harish does not figure in the list of 20 star campaigners for the Lok Sabha elections announced by TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday.

The list includes KCR, his son and TRS working president K T Rama Rao, secretary general K Kesava Rao, MLC Seri Subhash Reddy and five other secretaries.

It clearly indicates that KCR has deliberately chosen to sideline Harish in the party, notwithstanding the fact that the latter has played tremendous role in the party’s victory in the assembly elections.

The TRS chief knows that Harish has complete control over the party in Medak, Zaheerabad and parts of Karimnagar parliamentary constituencies and his campaign would fetch a big victory for the party.

But the TRS chief does not want Harish to retain his hold since he fears the latter had the potential to split the party in case such a situation arises.

So, KCR wants to clip Harish’s wings and confine himself to Siddipet constituency. Even in Siddipet, the local leaders have been clearly told that they should come to KTR for any work, instead of going to Harish Rao.

It would be interesting to see whether Harish would lie low or make any attempt to revolt in future.

‘No Short Skirts’: College’s Diktat Upsets Students

In order to curb indiscipline, the management of JJ Hospital’s Grant Medical College (Maharashtra) has passed a new rule to students on not wearing short skirts to the college and also to sit separately from men during events. The students have launched a protest while wearing ankle-length dresses and covered faces as a part of dissent towards the new circular form issued.

This rule has been passed post-Holi celebrations in the college on March 21. One of the fighting students said, “The instructions were issued by Dean Dr Ajay Chandanwale and Warden Shilpa Patil. They said female students must not wear short skirts during college hours, should sit apart from men at events and return to their hostels before 10 pm”.

The students have strongly condemned the decision of the college administration. They say it prohibits our fundamental rights like the right to dress

Dean Dr Ajay Chandanwale responded to the protest, “We only expect them to dress appropriately and have no other hidden agenda in this. There was some chaos during Holi. If there is any grudge or objection, we will hear the students out”.

The college administration has also shared the same on their Facebook page and in their respective WhatsApp group, detailing the instructions.

Why Jagan’s Brand Ambassadors Talk About Caste?

Frankly speaking, there is a caste feeling and caste-based selection process and promotion in almost all the political parties. If Janasena has the least (but we can’t say there is no caste feeling at all), other parties have a bit more, and YS Jagan led YSR Congress seems to have the most of such feeling.

Already there is a buzz that Jagan has backstabbed his own “BC Gharjana” promises by not allotting the promised percentage of tickets to contestants from Backward Castes. At the same time, while Reddy community is said to be giving him unanimous support in Rayalaseema region, one wonders it which way other OCs are tilting. And for that, it looks like Jagan came up with a sketch to woo them.

Take the talks of Posani, Chinni Krishna or Kona Venkat, there is not a single minute from them where they don’t talk about their caste. “I am a Kamma, but I don’t support Naidu,” says Posani. “For the first time I’m revealing that my surname is Akula and I am a Kapu, but I will support Jagan, not Pawan,” said Chinni Krishna. “I am Brahmin who reads Gayari Mantram daily and today I could proudly say that Jagan is a huge sympathizer of Brahmins like his father,” said Kona Venkat. We wonder why all these brand ambassadors of YS Jagan will utter only ‘caste’ based comments.

As the likes of KA Paul are snatching away Jagan’s SC-ST vote banks, it seems YSR Congress is trying to woo all the OCs with these casteist comments from the likes of Posani, Chinni Krishna and Kona Venkat. Do they think that OC vote banks will really sway that way? We will know in the coming months.

HC Shocks AP Gov, Clears way for YSRCP candidate

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has backed the decision of tribunal court which had allowed CI Gorantla Madhav to file nomination for the Lok Sabha polls. Madhav is contesting for Hindupur Parliament seat and being a police officer, he resigned to the job in January.

However the AP government did not relieve him from services. As the process is getting delayed, Madhav approached the tribunal court and he got a judgment in his favour. But the AP government has filed a petition in the High court and added that due to some reasons it can’t relieved Madhav with immediate effect.

There was a growing tension in YSRCP as Madhav is the party’s candidate. If not Madhav, YSRCP had plans to field Madhav’s best half Savitha as well and Jagan directed the party to issue a B-Form on her name as well.

It is learnt that Madhav has filed his nomination already and with the latest High Court’s directives, his nomination is valid.

It’s a big relief to Madhav who was running from places to places for the past couple of weeks.

Punch to Paul, nomination rejected

Praja Shanti Party president KA Paul received a shocker as his nomination is rejected. Paul wanted to file his nomination for Bhimavaram assembly segment and so he reached the nearest returning officer. However, Paul did not arrive on time and so the returning officer declined to accept his nomination.

This has irked Paul and he openly expressed his anguish. He came out and spoke to the media and alleged that there is a huge conspiracy in rejecting his nomination for the Bhimavaram assembly constituency. With the date and time up for filing nomination, Paul has lost a golden opportunity to become the next chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, if Praja Shanti is voted into power (Though it is less likely).

Paul has already filed his nomination for Narsapur Lok Sabha seat. He confidently said he will defeat Jana Sena Party candidate Naga Babu.

Alla is in trouble over fake MA certificate

Mangalagiri YSR Congress candidate Alla Ramakrishna Reddy could be in trouble for discrepancies in mentioning details about his educational qualifications. In the affidavit filed in 2014 elections, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has mentioned that his highest education qualification is Master of Arts in Political Science from Mysore Open University, a two-year course.

His other education qualifications are Diploma in Printing technology from M.I.P.T, Pune. Interestingly, Ramakrishna Reddy’s master’s in political science certificate is given without any bachelor’s degree. Any university or educational institution in India doesn’t give one a master’s degree or certificate unless he or she has done a bachelor’s degree. On the other hand, Mysore Open University does not exist as there is only Karnataka State Open University which offers a political science MA which was recognised by the UGC in 2017-18 only.

On the other hand, Ramakrishna Reddy’s 2019 affidavit, the most recent one filed with Election Commission, omits the Political Science Masters which he claimed in 2014. The 2019 affidavit only mentions his highest educational qualification as having a ‘Diploma in Printing Technology from MIPT, Pune’. It is learnt that the YSRCP Mangalagiri candidate could have removed his “fake” MA certificate after the Supreme Court passed an order in 2016 stating that a candidate can be disqualified from contesting if he or she fakes about their educational qualifications.

Alla Ramakrishna Reddy is a strong contender for the Mangalagiri assembly seat which is being contested by IT Minister and TDP’s Nara Lokesh. Alla is the sitting MLA from Mangalagiri and hence, the TDP will pounce on this opportunity to get as much mileage as possible by making his “fake MA degree” an issue. However, one still wonders whether he could be eligible for disqualification if TDP takes this to the notice of the Election Commission or takes the legal route. But, the real question is will this make a difference to the people in Mangalagiri constituency? We are yet to see.

Baahubali Makers Cheated For 17.60 Cr

Tollywood producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni had produced Baahubali The Conclusion, the second part of the Baahubali franchise, under Arka Mediaworks banner in 2017. This Rajamouli magnum opus’ Tamil version created a new industry record in Tamil Nadu.

Baahubali The Conclusion’s Tamil version was distributed by noted Tamil film distributor Rajarajan of K Productions. Before the film’s release, Rajarajan reportedly gave a cheque for Rs 17.60 crores to Shobu and Prasad. However, the cheque was later dishonoured due to insufficient funds.

The producers had filed a case against Rajarajan on February 19 earlier this year. The court had even ordered Rajarajan to furnish the security for the said amount. However, Rajarajan has reportedly failed to honour the court’s order and Arka’s legal team has sent yet another notice to him. The news has come across as a shocker especially since Rajarajan had made heavy profits by distributing Baahubali in Tamil Nadu.

Buzz: Prabhas To Impress In A Dual Role

On one side he is readying himself to give a stunning action treat in the form of Hollywood big ticket extravaganzas with Saaho movie. And then, he wants to impress his fans on the other side with his lover boy acts. Here comes an interesting snippet on Baahubali Prabhas.

Apparently, Prabhas will be seen in a pure lover boy in his upcoming film being directed by Radhakrishna of Jil movie fame. And then, this film has two shades combined, one being a very sincere lover and the other one is a jolly playboy kind of guy.

While half of Prabhas-Radha Krishna movie is set in yesteryear backdrop with the story taking place in vintage Europe, next half will happen in 2018 in India and Europe. The Baahubali star will be seen in two different avatars in these roles and will be romancing Pooja Hegde in the flashback, while Kajal Agarwal will be seen in the modern day episodes.

UV Creations is bankrolling both Saaho and this film, and the Baahubali actor will see two back to back releases in 2019 and 2020.
