‘Brahmastra’ To Break ‘Baahubali’ Records
Maverick director SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ has set the bars up very high for all the upcoming movies in all the Indian languages. A bunch of Bollywood filmmakers including Karan Johar is working hard to break ‘Baahubali’ records.
On this note, Karan Johar is now bankrolling a mega-budget film like ‘Brahmastra’ which has been grabbing the attention. Being made with a huge budget of Rs. 300 crores, Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Tollywood King Nagarjuna are playing vital roles in the film. It is known that this is the first part of the trilogy. Interestingly, Rajamouli himself has unveiled the logo of the film. Nagarjuna has already shot the film and it is yet to be known whether he will be a part of the other two parts or not. The movie is slated to hit the screens for Christmas this year in December. The remaining two parts will be hitting the screens next year. Ayan Mukherjee is helming this prestigious project.
Karan Johar has already revealed that the film will release in Telugu also to increase the market. We have to wait and see if ‘Brahmastra’ can succeed in breaking the records set by ‘Baahubali’ or not.
Mega production banner in plans to rope in super star
It is known that all the production banners will have their own strategies in roping in star heroes. Recently, as soon as Geetha arts got to know the news of the cancellation of Mahesh-Sukumar’s project, the production house has roped in Sukumar and announced that Allu Arjun’s next project will be directed by Sukumar.
Now, as per the latest reports, Geetha is now planning to rope in superstar Mahesh Babu as well. After ‘Maharshi’, Mahesh will star in a movie directed by Anil Ravipudi. Meanwhile, Geetha is planning to send ‘Geetha Govindam’ fame Parshuram to narrate a story to Mahesh Babu. If Mahesh likes this story then Geetha Arts will bankroll that project. In fact, Parasuram has written the script for Allu Arjun but both Bunny and Allu Arvind has thought that the sensibilities of the story will suit Mahesh Babu more.
On the other hand, Dil Raju who is bankrolling ‘Maharshi’ doesn’t want to send Mahesh out and is bankrolling Mahesh-Anil Ravipudi project. So, by roping in star heroes and with their master plans, the production houses have been bringing us some interesting combinations.

Has Sukumar Decided To End The Feud?
Sukumar is known for doing something in a hurry and then apologising for it. He did that on numerous occasions and he did admit to them in several interviews.
He can’t afford to have an ego clash with a star like Mahesh Babu at any stage of his career. Hence, after everything between them looked really bad, he decided to apologize and end the matter.
Mahesh Babu gave him ample amount of time to come up with a script but he couldn’t. Hence, Mahesh looked for other options.
As a communication gap arised betweeb them, someone else started reporting it as a big clash between them and the word spread.
Mahesh in a very soft manner decided to end the matter by praising his work and now, Sukumar is mending all the gap between them to get another chance to work with him, it seems.
He flew to Maharshi sets in Chennai to meet him and once they talked, they clarified everything it seems. Still, there is no sign of them collaborating again.
Still Some Netizens Can’t Forget ‘Regressive’ Comment!
Mahesh Babu might have acted with Samantha Akkineni immediately after she made “Regressive” comment on the movie poster.Sukumar, the director, might have worked with her in Rangasthalam and that might have made her a candidate for awards.
Still, the comment that she made about Kriti Sanon touching the foot marks of Mahesh walking on the beach while she was crawling, during Nenokkadine first poster release, seems to affect many people.The makers have burned the hatchet by saying that had she told them directly, they would have explained it or wouldn’t have released it at all and moved on.
But they keep commenting on her pictures, on her dressing sense and now, even when she touched feet of her husband in character in a song from Majili, the same word pops up from them.Seems like some of them have decided to make it their life long mission to comment everything that Samantha says or does regressive for calling “1” poster that in the past.
We believe even snakes in our mythology don’t hold grudge so long for a simple comment. It is better to leave the matter and move on!
Reddys dominate YSRCP’s candidature again
It is a known fact that YSR Congress has attracted many leaders from the Reddy community into the party-fold. However, YSR Congress Party President Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has been careful enough to declare in public meetings and other platforms that equal importance will be given to BCs and people from other castes, in order to balance the caste equations.
Even at the BC Garjana that the YSR Congress Party held, Jagan had promised 50% reservations to BCs, SC, STs and others. However, the party’s candidates list from Rayalaseema is out and it clearly points out a pattern where leaders from the Reddy community again dominate the list, with hardly one or two seats given to others.
In Chittoor, of the 14 seats that YSRCP is contesting from and has declared candidates, 9 candidates belong to the Reddy community. Similarly, among the candidates chosen for Kurnool, of the total 14 seats that the party is contesting from, 10 of them are from the Reddy community. Meanwhile, in Nellore, of the 9 seats it is contesting from, 8 of them belong to the Reddy community.
Going by the list of candidates chosen, several leaders within the party and in political circles are wondering about YSRCP’s promise of social justice to all communities. Social media is rife with discussions on how YSR Congress Party clearly indicates “Reddy community domination” within the party. On the other hand, this could turn out to be a negative point for the party which wants to win the 2019 Assembly elections in the state.
JD to join TDP? A Bad Rumour!
With just 29 days for the assembly and general elections in Andhra Pradesh, political circles are rife with speculation about former Joint Director of CBI, Lakshminarayana and his political entry. Some sections have indicated that he may be leaving Lok Satta Party soon and is not very happy with his position there.
Earlier there were rumours that he would start his own party and take the political plunge. However, amid speculation that he would be joining other parties, he joined Lok Satta to help the party contest in Andhra Pradesh again. Now, according to the latest information doing rounds, Lakshminarayana is keen on jumping to the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
According to TDP sources, the Party High Command is mulling over giving him Bheemili seat to contest. However, since IT Minister Nara Lokesh is also in the race for the Bheemili seat, sources say that Lakshminarayana has asked for Visakhapatnam North seat. He sent the indications that he is interested to join TDP after meeting with AP Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in Hyderabad on Sunday.
It is expected that Lakshminarayana will meet AP Chief Minister and TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu sometime this week to take a decision on his entry into the party. However, political observers say that Lakshminarayana joining the TDP may not go down well with people as they see him in the role of a whistleblower. “He has a neutral image and as the one who speaks up against any injustice. If he joins the TDP, his image may take a hit and blur the lines as he will be seen as just another politician in the party,” said a political observer.
