Muslims Unhappy With LS election Dates?
The announcement of 2019 Lok Sabha Election dates is now causing new dispute among minorities. Muslims are outraged over conducting LS polls during the Ramzan period. They claimed that the government is trying to make Muslims stay away from the booth deliberately.
Union Minister Ravi Shanker Prasad reminded people how by-elections for Kairana parliamentary seat last year happened during Ramzan. He said that many elections have been conducted during festivals and asked people to stop being desperate. He also reminded about Holi coming during elections this year.
West Bengal’s 31% of Muslim voters are worried that they will have to face trouble, managing both Ramzan preparations and exercising their vote rights. Some political leaders have stood against the idea of the Election Commission’s decision and demanded that it should consider people’s request over changing dates.
However, the election commission announced that the main festival date has been excluded from the poll days and one should not worry over that. But a full month cannot be excluded, it confirmed.
Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM, said that the whole debate is unnecessary. He said, ‘ I request political parties and other communities that please do not involve Muslims and Ramzan for whatever reasons you have’. He said that it is an insult for Muslims to say that Ramzan will affect the voting.
He ensured that Muslims do their daily routines even in Ramzan. They go to offices, They eat, they work. How can Ramzan show an impact on voting, he asked. In contrary to that, Trinamool Congress leader Firhad Hakim said that the ruling party doesn’t want minorities to cast their votes.
Allu Stroke: Sends New Script To Mahesh Babu!
Though Mega camp has denied the reports that Allu Arvind has met Namrata Shirodkar after the Ghattamenni camp got upset with Allu Arjun snatching away Sukumar from Mahesh, it looks like there is something else brewing now.
Some reports are coming up that Geetha Arts is very keen to team up with Mahesh Babu and they are busy sending him stories. Actually, director Parasuram has prepared a new story after Geetha Govindam and he wants to direct that film in Geetha camp only. Earlier there were speculations that he will be directing Naga Chaitanya in his next.
Surprisingly, Arvind is busy setting up Dasarath for Chay and he is said to have sent this new story of Parasuram to Mahesh Babu. In a day or two, the director will be narrating the two hours story to the Superstar. If all goes well, immediately after wrapping Anil Ravipudi’s film, Mahesh will wrap this movie too.
Though both Geetha camp and Mahesh’s team are tight-lipped about this development, we hear that Parasuram is already preparing to narrate the subject to Mahesh. Let’s see what happens.
Priya Varrier Talks About ‘Karma’ For Director
One look at the film “Lovers Day” actually proves a point that internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier has to learn the nuances of acting quite strongly. At the same time, another actress in the movie Noorin Shereef has done impressive performance though. And that led to a huge fight now.
Like we revealed it long back, Lovers Day happens to be Noorin’s film but after the wink video has gone viral, Priya was made a leading lady with the whole story written around her. Director Omar Lulu has now claimed that he has done such thing with pressure from his producers and made some frank comments on Priya and her acting capabilities.
In a recent interview, Omar confessed the same about the film Oru Adaar Love, which released in Telugu as Lovers Day, saying that he has altered the story looking at Priya’s internet fame and that resulted in a debacle. Responding about these comments, Priya is now saying that Karma will take its way.
“There is something called Karma. For anyone who is now blaming me for things, even I could come out and say many things. But I leave everything in the hands of karma. It will show them their fate very soon” she said, indirectly taking a jibe at director Omar Lulu.
Wanted: Candidates for BJP, Congress!
With the Election Commission sounding the bugle for Lok Sabha elections and Andhra Pradesh assembly elections on April 11, major political parties – Telugu Desam Party, YSR Congress party and for that matter, even Jana Sena Party, are getting ready for the battle.
They have already begun selection of candidates for the LS and assembly seats and have almost completed the process except in some key constituencies.
For that matter, Jana Sena party of actor Pawan Kalyan was the first to announce the list of candidates for LS polls, thought it has just two names, as of now.
But, the so-called two national parties – Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party – are virtually struggling to find suitable candidates to fight the assembly as well as Lok Sabha elections.
Majority of their senior leaders who have money and cadre power have already joined the other three parties.
The Congress hardly has any credible leaders, except a few like M M Pallam Raju, N Kiran Kumar Reddy, N Raghuveera Reddy, Chinta Mohan etc.
Even those handful of leaders are not keen on contesting the elections, for the simple reason that they do not have money power and if they have, they don’t want to waste their money, since it is difficult to win any seat.
As far as the BJP is concerned, the party leaders are putting up a brave front of winning a few seats with a hope that Narendra Modi magic would work in Andhra Pradesh, too.
But there are not enough candidates for the party to fight the elections. Some of them are already started looking towards the TDP or YSR Congress party.
So pathetic is the situation in both the national parties is that they have now started calling for applications for the MP and MLA seats, just a week before the commencement of the nomination process!
Rajamouli to Put an End to Rumors!
Bollywood leading lady Ali Bhatt has turned down S S Rajamouli’s offer, said a prominent Bollywood movie website.There are different stories floating around about Rajamouli’s “RRR”. Tired of reading many reports, Rajamouli will be meeting the media to address all aspects.
According to reports, Rajamouli will meet the press this Thursday.”RRR” being made with whopping Rs 300 Cr budget in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages stars NTR and Ram Charan together for the first time.
Touted be costliest ever Telugu film, “RRR” has completed two long shoot schedules in Hyderabad and is planning to film next schedule in Kolkota for 45 days.In the case of “Eega” and “Baahubali” movies, Rajamouli gave clarity about the movie’s content, theme and casting at the very start.
He spoke to the media at the launch of those movies. However, he skipped such press meet for “RRR”.
Relieved Sukumar to Concentrate on His Production!
Sukumar is relieved that Mahesh Babu has finally listened to his version. Sukumar told him how much he was hurt by the recent developments.Their meeting that took place last weekend in Chennai went smooth and both of them cleared all the differences between them.
Though it is clear that Mahesh Babu might not team up with Sukumar in the near future, there stands no acrimony between them now.Sukumar will now happily concentrate on his productions. Sukumar is involving in many films that are being directed by his former associates.
The director will be working on his script from June/July as Allu Arjun has given him dates from October.Sukumar will direct Allu Arjun with the same plot that he narrated to Mahesh Babu.
Trivikram Still Working on Second Half?
Trivikram and Allu Arjun have already joined hands to team up for the third time but their movie has not gone to the sets yet.Our sources revealed that Allu Arjun recently raised doubts over the second half. He is not fully satisfied with the climax part.
Trivikram went back to his script room to make necessary changes in the second half. This is the reason why the film is getting delayed to hit the floors.However, Trivikram and his team are confident that these changes would be done within next days.
If Trivikram rewrites the climax part and Bunny likes it, the movie will be launched in the second week of April after Allu Arjun’s birthday.Pooja Hegde has already been confirmed as the main heroine. Thaman will compose the music. Haarika Haasine Creations is producing it in big way.
Efforts to bring Pawan, Jagan together again?
With the announcement of schedule for the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, the main opposition party — YSR Congress – is making all out efforts to win the elections at any cost by bringing down Telugu Desam Party headed by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu from power.
While believing in his own strength, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has also a serious task before it – preventing the split of anti-establishment vote in the state, since it would only benefit the TDP.
The biggest threat comes from Jana Sena Party headed by actor Pawan Kalyan, who has considerable vote bank in the state, particularly in East and West Godavari districts. So, the YSRC would gain if it builds bridges with the Jana Sena Party.
However, Jagan and Pawan have been attacking each other for quite some time and their duel had gone to the personal levels. Both of them do not see eye to eye now.
Now that the elections are on cards, efforts have begun once again to bring both Pawan and Jagan together so as to prevent split of anti-incumbency vote.
Some senior leaders from both the sides are learnt to have met at a private place in Hyderabad on Sunday night and discussed the possibility of forging an alliance between YSRC and Jana Sena.
Advisors to Jagan reportedly told him that it would be better to enter seat adjustments with Pawan in East and West Godavari districts, as it would help a lot in keeping the TDP at bay.
Similarly, seniors in Jana Sena also advised Pawan to confine the party to a few seats by joining hands with YSRC, instead of contesting independently and losing in all the seats.
It is not yet confirmed as to what Jagan and Pawan had responded to suggestions from their advisors. But if it happens, it will be a big threat to the TDP!
Cong Likely To Finalise Candidates For T’gana By Mar 13
HYDERABAD: Congress in Telangana is likely to finalise its candidates for the coming Lok Sabha polls by March 13.Party sources said Monday the list was likely to be released on March 13.Lok Sabha elections in Telangana would be held in the first phase on April 11.
The party is likely to contest the polls to 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state on its own, sources had said earlier.It had faced the assembly elections in December last year in alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) and the Communist Party of India (CPI), but the combine came a cropper.
Meanwhile, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy Monday slammed the ruling TRS for appealing to the people to elect its candidates in all 16 Lok Sabha seats so that the state’s development could be ensured.He said despite the TRS having 16 MPs on its side in the outgoing Lok Sabha, the state was ”neglected”.
“…They could not do anything. TRS does not have the right to ask for vote in parliament election,” Mr Reddy told reporters.TRS had failed to ensure realisation of the promises made to Telangana in the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act, including setting up Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) and national status for an irrigation project, he alleged.
Congress, if voted to power in the parliament elections, would implement the promises made in the re-organisation act, he assured.
PVP to join YSRC, get Vijayawada LS ticket!
In a swift development, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to field prominent businessman and film producer Potluri Vara Prasad as the party candidate from Vijayawada parliamentary constituency in the April 11 general elections.
According to highly placed sources, Potluri, popularly known as PVP, is going to join the YSRC in Hyderabad at 11 am on Wednesday morning.
It is a surprise development for PVP as well, as he has completely given up the hope to get the YSRC ticket for Vijayawada LS seat after making initial attempts.
Reason: another prominent industrialist and Kamma leader Dasari Jai Ramesh joined the YSRC, after resigning from the Telugu Desam Party. Apparently, Jagan has given the assurance to Jai Ramesh on the Vijayawada LS seat.
Apparently, Jagan was looking for a strong Kamma candidate to take on sitting Telugu Desam Party MP Kesineni Nani in the constituency who has developed tremendous hold over it in the last four years.
And Jai Ramesh approached Jagan through Daggubati Venkateshwar Rao who along with his son Hitesh Chenchuram joined the YSRC recently.
However, surveys conducted by the Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) of political strategist Prashant Kishor, are understood to have revealed that PVP is a better choice than Jai Ramesh because of his non-controversial nature and also a good name in the Vijayawada political circles.
According to the surveys, Jai Ramesh has never been active in politics. Though he was in the TDP, he has been keeping away from party activities and he has lost touch with the people as he has not taken any active participation in any of the agitations. Not many people will acknowledge him.
So, based on the advice of Prashant Kishor team, Jagan decided to replace Jai Ramesh with PVP, who is a better candidate.
It is learnt Jagan also convinced Jai Ramesh to accept his decision. Since he has also decided to field Jai Ramesh’s brother Dasari Balavardhan Rao from Gannavaram assembly seat, there might not be any resistance from Jai Ramesh, party sources said.
