One of the best Indian cricketers and former Captain, MS Dhoni, became the first Indian ever to hit 350 international sixes in the second T20I against Aussies. He has also grabbed fifth position in all-time highest scorers list. The news made Dhoni’s ardent fans jump in excitement and exhilaration.
The highest scorers of international sixes have Chris Gayle in the top and Shahid Afridi in the second positions. Dhoni has received a standing ovation at Bengaluru stadium after walking out to bat in the 2nd T20I against Australia. It was his 98th T20I leaving him as one of the fittest players we have today.
What Dhoni contributed to the cricket in all these years is priceless and irreplacable. The social media poured compliments on Dhoni’s record-breaking move. He gave three sixes and three fours in 2nd T20I and in total, India had 13 sixes in the record.
Kalyan Ram has reserved high praise for Nivetha Thomas for her exceptional acting. They have acted together in ‘118’ that is helmed by cinematographer turned director K V Guhan.
Before Nivetha came on board, the film looked like a just thriller but she brought emotional core to the movie and with her performance she took it to different level, Kalyan Ram said in a tete-a-tete with us.
“I guarantee that last 20 minutes of the movie will shock the audiences and it is quite thrilling also. Nivetha is emotional pillar,” he said.
Kalyan Ram also said that it was the script that excited him to introduce K V Guhan as director.
Kalyan Ram who was recently seen in the role of his father late Hari Krishna in NTR Biopic movie said he got all the inputs from his babai Balakrishna to portray his dad’s role. From body language to the style of dialogue delivery, it was Balakrishna who guided him.
Coming to the politics, Kalyan Ram clarified that he will not campaign for TDP in the coming polls though he is associated with the party.
“I will not sail in two boats simultaneously. I will stick to acting. Politics is a different ball of game which I know not much about it,” he bluntly said.
On the other hand, Nivetha explained the reason behind missing out many films after the release of “Jai Lava Kusa”. I took a break of six months because I was busy submitting my thesis in Architecture course, she reasoned. Even then she was listening to various scripts.
Nivetha finds NTR Jr as an actor with high dedication, a power house of talent. Where as Kalyan Ram does his job quietly and focused way, she observed.

Dulquer Salman, the Malayalam superstar and the son of veteran superstar Mammootty, is very much impressed with director Mahi V Raghav’s work in Yatra.
The director has won accolades for making an emotionally charged film based on few incidents in late YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s life.
Mahi has shown his versatility by picking Yatra after making an impressive debut with successful horror comedy Anando Brahma.
When an experienced director like Krish made a mess out of NTR’s life story, Mahi has impressed critics and audience with his directorial skills.
Although Yatra hasn’t set the cash registers ringing because of its emotional overtones and limited appeal, it has turned out to be a profitable films for its makers.
Mahi V Raghav’s work hasn’t gone unnoticed as everyone showered praises upon him for handling a tough subject in a brilliant way.
Dulquer Salman who recently watched the Malayalam version of Yatra has called Mahi to appreciate his work. He has also expressed his wish to work under his direction, according to reports.
Dulquer is a pan Indian star and Mahi cannot ask for a better choice at this point in his career.
Sometimes, there’s hardly any buzz around certain films before their release. The case is more evident for low budget and dubbed movies. Those who buy the films do not bother to promote them even on their release day. But, if the film releases at the right time and manages to click with the audiences, the box office results will be unexpectedly overwhelming.
Same is true for Nayanthara’s Anjali CBI, the Telugu dubbed version of her Tamil hit Imaikkaa Nodigal. The film had a low-key release last Friday amidst a huge competition from Balakrishna’s NTR Mahanayakudu. But, thanks to its good content and the decent word of mouth, Anjali CBI has been collecting double the share than NTR Mahanayakudu.
Of late, Telugu audiences are not going gaga over Tamil films dubbed in Telugu and are hardly going to the theaters. Most movie connoisseurs are catching up on all the latest Tamil releases on Amazon Prime and other OTT platforms even before they are dubbed and released in Telugu after several months since their original release.
On February 22nd, all eyes were on NTR Mahanayakudu. While the biopic failed to impress moviegoers, the attention was later shifted to ‘Mithai’, another straight Telugu release. But, even Mithai sank without a trace. Naturally, audiences and trade circles began noticing Anjali CBI’s surprisingly decent show at the box office in the Telugu speaking states. Although Anjali CBI didn’t make any impact on its opening day, it did pick up well from day 2.
According to the latest trade updates, until Sunday, Anjali CBI had collected a gross of Rs 1 crore approximately in AP and Telangana. Needless to say that this a huge number for such a small movie, and the buyers who released it in Telugu will end up pocketing decent profits.
Mahesh Babu is reportedly angry with producer Dil Raju and director Vamshi Paidipally against the rumours being circulated that their film Maharshi would be postponed. While the rumours had it that the film would be postponed to May against the release date of April 25th, Mahesh said to be deeply upset.
Like any other stars in the industry, Mahesh also has certain sentiments. One among them is April sentiment. Mahesh has good connection with April as many of his films have tasted success in April. Even his last film Bharat Ane Nenu was not just a success, but also a big relief to Mahesh as the film bailed out him a series of flops. Even his Yuvaraju was released in April. Mahesh’s career-changing film Pokiri was released in April as well (28 April 2006).
However, Mahesh had a very bad experience with May. Brahmotsavam (May 20, 2016), Nani (May 14, 2004) are a few of his biggest duds in his career. Particularly, Brahmotsavam was initially planned for April release. But due to postponements, the film had to be delayed and was released in May. Now, this is what he didn’t want for Maharshi. Maharshi has already been postponed from April 5th to April 25th. And he didn’t want another postponement as fans would be disappointed and would also get tensed. That’s why Mahesh is firm on a April release for Maharshi and didn’t want a May release.

More details regarding Tej-Maruthi film are awaited.

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said his Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would participate in the protests against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to this port city on Friday.
In a teleconference with TDP leaders, Naidu said the party would support the protest called by Prateekya Hoda Sadhana Samiti Joint Action Committee over the Centre not conferring special category status on the state and not fulfilling other promises made in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
The JAC, which comprises various like-minded parties and groups fighting for special category status to the state, has said that Modi has no moral right to visit the state without fulfilling the commitments.
Political parties, people’s organisations and trade unions which are not part of JAC have also called for the protest against Modi’s visit. They include the Congress, Jana Sena and the Left parties.
Modi will address a public meeting at Visakhapatnam. Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Punetha on Wednesday held a meeting with top officials in state capital Amaravati to review the arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit.
Modi had faced black-flag protests during his visit to the state’s Guntur on February 10. Addressing a public meeting, he made a scathing attack on Naidu.
Meanwhile, the TDP chief alleged that main opposition YSR Congress Party was busy in mobilising people for Modi’s public meeting. He reiterated that YSR Congress is hand-in-glove with Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
Simultaneous elections to Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha are due in April-May.
