Telugu Comedian Gets Promotion In YSRCP
Comedian Prudhviraj who is actively campaigning for YSR Congress party in Andhra Pradesh for the last few days, got the recognition he needed.
Party chief YS Jagan has appointed Prudhviraj as state secretary and a press statement is released accordingly. Prudhvi joined YSRCP couple of years back and has been the face of the celebrity league in the party. In the recent times, he took on the likes of KA Paul and others who have criticised Jagan and the party.
Prudhvi is also anticipating an assembly ticket in the upcoming elections. Thadepalli constituency from West Godavari district is in Prudhvi’s mind but he never disclosed it before the media. We have to see whether the ’30 Years Industry’ fame steps into assembly or not.
The 12 going-to-be Ministers of Telangana
CM KCR has fixed the date and time for the cabinet expansion and now the list of MLAs who will be turning ministers got revealed.
It will be Etela Rajender, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Jogu Ramanna, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Redyanayak, Koppula Eshwar, Vivek Goud, Prashanth Reddy, Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Jagadeesh Reddy, Vinaya Bhasker and last but not least it is TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah.
Etela, Talasani, Jogu and Jagadeesh have retained their cabinet berth while the rest of the candidates are new faces. On February 19th, these 12 men will take oath in the presence of KCR and Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan.
However their portfolios are yet to be known. Etela and Talasani are likely to get Finance and cinematography respectively.
To everyone’s surprise, TRS working president KTR and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao’s names were not included.
Once again, it appears that there is no woman representation in the cabinet. But there are high rumours that Padma Devender Reddy is likely to be inducted. We have to wait till the nth minute to get a conformation.
Two Interesting Sequels For Saaho Beauty
Some heroines don’t get a big break despite being part of super hit films. One such girl is Shraddha Kapoor, who has some big hits like Ek Villain and Baaghi in her kitty. Later she hasn’t done big Bollywood movies but got a lifetime offer in the form of Prabhas’ “Saaho”.
And this Saaho beauty’s time has come now, as she signed two big sequels right now. Though she missed out the first sequel of Baaghi, as Tiger Shroff got his girlfriend Disha Patani for Baaghi 2, now Shraddha is part of Baaghi 3 that will be crafted by Ahmed Khan. Apart from this, another interesting sequel she is joining is this dancing bonanza.
After shining alongside Varun Dhawan in ABCD2 movie, the two have now reunited for ABCD3 which is titled Street Dancers. Already the posters of this film have taken everyone by a storm for the kind of chemistry and glamour Shraddha portrayed.
If these two sequels score like their predecessors, surely Shraddha’s range will go notches higher. Also, Saaho’s result might change her fortunes forever.
Allu Sirish’s Political Interview Is A Joke!
By saying that he is attending the best and prestigious political talk show, mega hero Allu Sirish has apparently created sensation other day evening. Many wondered if he is appearing on TV9 Jaffar show or Encounter With Muralikrishna, or he is coming up Open Heart With RK or any such shows.
After reading Sirish’s tweet, “I’m excited and nervous! Have been invited finally to the most prestigious & top rated political talk show of Telugu states. Hope it goes well”, naturally some got a doubt. Because Sirish has neither hit films or any superb political legacy that he will be invited to such show. But he unfolded the truth some hours later.
“And I finally made it to #KoffeeWithKishore! He grilled us hard kani host ne toast chesam nenu Bharath!!! The program will be aired worldwide in theatres in March. Stay tuned!”, he tweeted later, sharing a photo from the shooting spot of his new film ABCD, which has fixed release date but still in shooting mode.
While some section of the audience got hurt by the shallowness of this joke, some are enjoying the humor of Allu Sirish. Hope they enjoy his films as well.
Kalyan Ram Shocks Everyone with 118 Trailer
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is not a hero with a crazy following. In fact, the third generation Nandamuri actor has always struggled to establish himself, though he has scored two big hits in his career.
He seems to have realised his errors and has started going for a makeover since last couple of years.
Despite an average outing with MLA, nothing worked. But his next movie 118 seems promising, going by the talk the trailer is getting on social media and in trade circles.
The slick and stylishly cut trailer has already started trending on social media and one must say that this kind of a positive feedback for a Kalyan Ram movie is definitely shocking.
Many fans are saying that 118 is quite possibly the best trailer in Kalyan Ram’s career.
Directed by ace cinematographer Guhan, the movie also has Shalini Pandey and Nivetha Thomas in lead roles.
Shekhar Chandra has composed the music and Mahesh Koneru is bankrolling the movie under East Coast Productions banner.
After a series of disappointments, can Kalyan Ram strike big with this movie? Going by the trailer, the potential seems to be there.
Naidu Lost Faith Of His Party Leaders!
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is losing the faith of his own party leaders, as was evident from the way they are coming to join the YSR Congress party one after the other.This was the observation made by YSRC leader from Bapatla Nandigam Suresh. He said the TDP leaders were coming to YSRCP in droves, stating that they had no belief in Chandrababu Naidu.
“They are terming him as a person who lacks vision, originality and the qualities to stick to one stand,” he said.Suresh alleged that Naidu kept on changing his stand and worked for furthering his personal interests and the welfare of his coterie.
“He has also lost face in his own party which is the reason why people are leaving the party and by all means this could be the last elections for the TDP chief,” he said.
The coming days would see more and more leaders deserting TDP and Chandrababu Naidu will be left with nothing to boast about and seek votes, but for going for impracticable promises, he said.
Asking Naidu to mend his language, tone and tenor, the YSRC leader said the chief minister had no moral right to criticise YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
“There is a huge difference between Naidu and Jagan in terms of political morals. The TDP president is a known cheat who goes back on his word, while our leader comes from a family that sticks to the stand taken,” he said.
He accused Naidu of plagiarising YSRC slogan “Nammamu Babu ninnu nammam (We will not believe you Babu), which showed the bankruptcy of the TDP on all fronts.
Magunta unlikely to fight LS polls from Ongole
Will liquor baron and MLC Magunta Srinivasula Reddy fight the Lok Sabha elections from Ongole? The TDP leader’s family is against the move.A confidential survey said TDP is on a weak wicket in five of the seven assembly segments in the Ongole LS constituency.
Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu had announced Reddy’s candidature two months ago. Naidu had asked Reddy to suggest names for candidates for assembly seats as well.Reddy had initially keen to take the poll plunge but later developments have made him to rethink.
Reddy is likely to tell Naidu that he would keep his MLC seat. On Thursday, he held a meeting with his confidants and core leaders from Ongole.It is learnt that Reddy has been briefed that TDP is not on strong wicket in Yerragondapalem, Markapuram, Giddalur, Darsi and Kanigiri although it may make gains in Ongole and Kondepi.
The situation has improved a little in Markapuram and comfortable in Ongole and Kondepi and the leaders felt that it might suffice to overcome the deficit in remaining segments.The survey has reported a huge gap between TDP and YSRC in Yerragondapalem, leaving Reddy in a dilemma.
YSRC has been trying to poach Reddy for the past several months. YSRC was even ready to ask its MP YV Subbareddy to make way for Magunta Srinivasula Reddy.“I will remain with TDP and work for the victory of the party candidate,” Reddy told reporters on Friday.

National Award winning actor Manoj Bajpayee says one needs to develop a thick skin to survive in the film industry.”We need to have thick skin to survive in the film industry. I have spent quite some time here, and have realised that you get friends usually with success and they go away during your tough days,” Manoj said.
The actor on Friday opened up about the mantra to survive in the industry during an interactive session with Sushant Singh, actor and general secretary of CINTAA, at the ActFest.Looking back at how people treated him during his struggling days, the “Aligarh” actor said: “One of my friends invited me for his film’s premiere where media was also present to click photographs of celebrities. They saw me and one photographer said ‘he is not important, don’t take his photograph’.”
He continued: “And I just thought ‘when my film will be successful, people will come again to click my photograph’. I don’t let vanity affect me.” Manoj believes he was the “happiest when I had no acting offers”.”Because that was the time when I worked on myself to develop my skill.”
The actor also condemned the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, saying it is “very sad”.”We can’t imagine what their families must be going through,” he added.
ActFest is being organised by CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association). The two-day festival features popular artistes participating in discussions, conducting workshops or giving lectures on various aspects of the art. The event is conceived and designed by The 48 Hour Film Project, India.
Talking about the fest, he said: “It is a great initiative where actors are coming and sharing their journey.”
New CEO becomes a headache for Sakshi staff
YSR Congress party president and leader of opposition in Andhra Pradesh Y S Jaganmohan Reddy brought in a new executive director and chief executive officer (CEO) for his media house Sakshi, in a bid to overhaul the organization and improve its credibility.
But Jagan’s efforts seem to have had little impact on the organization and situation in Sakshi is said to have turned from bad to worse, according to insiders.
The new CEO, Vinay Mahaeshwari, who was hired for a hefty salary and paid an advance of nearly Rs 4 crore, has so far done little to improve the system.
Instead of coming out with new ideas to streamline circulation and marketing, he is said to be concentrating on boasting about his past record and interfering in editorial matters.
“In every meeting, the new CEO talks mostly about his past achievements, but hardly comes out with any new strategies to step up the business. Instead, he tries to poke his nose into the editorial issues, creating a lot of confusion in policy matters,” a source in the media house said.
In fact, Vinay is learnt to have had a lot of issues in his earlier stint with Dainik Bhaskar Group where he was working as senior Vice President for Brand Marketing. He had to quit the organization due to these internal troubles.
It is learnt Rani Reddy, a close associate of Jagan’s wife Y S Bharati, who is presently managing the affairs of Sakshi, is still calling shots in the organization, deciding the salaries and hikes of the employees.
“Even the new CEO has little control in this regard,” the sources said.
The state of affairs in Sakshi media house does not augur well for the organization, at a time when Jagan is struggling hard to wrest power in Andhra Pradesh.
May be things will fall in line if he becomes the chief minister.
