Big Heroes Upset With Bellamkonda’s Move?
Despite the fact that he has no single big hit to his credit till date, young hero Bellamkonda Srinivas still signs back to back films. Thanks to his influential father Bellamkonda Suresh, who is making sure that his son gets right backing until he gets the right break.
What surprised Tollywood about this guy, director-producer Ramesh Varma has grabbed the rights of Ratsasan movie for his young hero. There are many heroes who eyed on that Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul starrer that took Kollywood by a surprise. Especially the chilling murder mystery film that deals with a psychopath’s killings is engaging from first to last.
Actually, the likes of director Maruthi are said to have watched the film and are busy developing their own version stories from it. He has done that because two big mega heroes said to have asked him to work it out. But with Bellamkonda buying rights and making the film officially, surely it gave shocker to all these people.
#RRR: Alia Bhatt To Romance NTR And Charan
Finally, it looks like director giant SS Rajamouli has found a leading lady for his heroes. And then, this leading lady is not just the superstar from Bollywood but also becomes the only starlet for our two star heroes, Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
#RRR is the most awaited film everyone is looking for, and the latest update we are hearing regarding this movie is that Bollywood siren Alia Bhatt is said to have signed the dotted line. And she will be the only leading lady in the film, while RRR will have another foreign girl as a second heroine.
Though there were reports earlier that Alia Bhatt has quoted 6 crores to star in the film and hence Rajamouli backstepped from roping her in, it looks like the pay packet deal is now sorted out. And if this comes true, definitely Ali Bhatt will bring super attention to the movie in Bollywood circles.
On the other hand, currently NTR is holidaying in Dubai while Ram Charan is taking part in the action schedule going on in Hyderabad. #RRR is set in a pre-Independence era and also a part of the film goes in present mode too.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, NBK has bankrolled the movie under NBK Films banner.
Opposition unity: Friends at Centre, ‘frenemies’ in states
New Delhi: Notwithstanding the bonhomie of the opposition parties and talk of a pre-poll grand alliance gaining ground, it appears unlikely the Congress will be able to forge tie-ups with the ruling parties in non-BJP states particularly West Bengal, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala in the Lok Sabha polls.
Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress, Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Andhra’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Left from Kerala have all shared the stage with the Congress from time to time as part of opposition’s show of strength against the BJP.
But when it comes to electoral understandings in the respective states, the Congress as well as the party in power in those states appear to develop cold feet.
After the latest meeting of the opposition parties in the national capital on Wednesday, Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee announced that the parties have agreed to a pre-poll pact and a common minimum programme (CMP) to defeat the BJP.
However, the Congress and the Left, which are all set for a tie-up in Bengal, have taken Banerjee’s assertions with a “pinch of salt” and insist that even if a pre-poll alliance materialised, the Trinamool will continue to be the main rival for both the parties in Bengal.
“Aligning with the Trinamool in Bengal will be a disaster and completely unacceptable from the leaders down to the last party worker – and most importantly, voters,” a state Congress leader told IANS pointing to “sustained attacks” on party workers and supporters by the state’s ruling party.
Speaking in the same vein, a Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader said any truck with the Trinamool will lead to the Left losing even its core voters. “How can we expect to ally with the Trinamool, which has unleashed all the means to completely wipe out the Left from Bengal,” asked the leader.
The Trinamool, on the other hand, asserts that any tie-up with the Congress or any other party will only be a hindrance to its ambition of a clean sweep in the eastern state, which sends 42 members to the Lok Sabha.
“Why should we go for any arrangement – whether declared or tacit – when we can win all the 42 seats? The more seats we have, the more will be our bargaining power when it comes to forming the government. We don’t want to jeopardise our chances,” a Trinamool leader said.
In stark contrast to their “friendship” in Bengal, the Congress and the Left continue to be sworn enemies in Kerala, where the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and United Democratic Front (UDF) are the principal players. Both the camps have ruled out the possibility of any kind of understanding in the state, where the BJP is trying to make inroads, especially with the Sabarimala issue giving it some leverage.
A similar situation prevailed during the 2016 Assembly polls when the Congress and Left had tied-up in Bengal but fought a bitter battle in Kerala.
Campaigning for the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as BJP chief Amit Shah, then had derided the Left and the Congress for their “dosti” (friendship) in Bengal and “kusthi” (wrestling) in Kerala.
“The question does not arise,” was the terse reply of a Kerala CPI-M leader when asked about the possibility of an understanding with the Congress.
Even for its tie-up with Congress in Bengal, there was opposition within the CPI-M but party General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, a votary of the tie up both in 2016 and now, is said to have prevailed.
Similarly in Andhra Pradesh, a Congress-TDP truck appears to be unlikely because of the strong anti-Congress sentiment stemming from the division of the state effected during the UPA-II regime.
Despite intense campaigning, the TDP-Congress combine performed miserably in the Telangana polls, winning just 21 out of the 119 assembly seats as the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) retained power with a huge mandate.
Even as the camaraderie between Congress President Rahul Gandhi and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu is palpable and both have been harping on opposition unity, the parties at the state level are not inclined towards working jointly.
While the state TDP leaders point to the strong anti-Congress sentiment in Andhra, the Congress leaders point to the TDP earlier being part of the NDA.
“The political landscape in Andhra is different to that of Telangana. A similar arrangement in Andhra will be counterproductive as TDP is considered to be our arch-rival and opposing them is ingrained in our party cadres and voters,” a Congress leader said.
In Delhi, where the Congress-AAP rivalry has only got more serious, the possibility of any arrangement is far-fetched for both the parties.
In fact, Gandhi, post the Wednesday’s opposition parties meet which Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also attended, made evident the Congress’ being non-committal to aligning with the AAP. He said that no decision was taken on the alliance with the AAP in Delhi and the Trinamool in Bengal.
However, Kejriwal, while claiming that the Congress has “almost said no” to an alliance, also insisted on the need for jointly fighting the BJP. Throughout the country, there should be only one candidate against the BJP in every constituency as a third candidate would eat into anti-BJP votes, benefiting the ruling party, he said.
However, a section of the party believes any arrangement with the Congress will erode its core vote base and insist that retaining Delhi in the assembly polls was far more important.
Speculation, though, persists about a possible electoral alliance between the Congress and the AAP both of which drew a blank in 2015 with the BJP sweeping all the 7 seats in Delhi.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be donating Rs 5 lakh each to the families of 49 CRPF troppers who died in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
In the worst ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since militancy erupted in 1989, a Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber on Thursday rammed his vehicle packed with explosives into a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bus on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Pulwama district, killing at least 40 troopers on the spot. Why Ajay Devgn declined Shankar’s Indian 2?
A few days back reports of Ajay Devgn have been approached for Shankar’s ‘Indian 2’ were all over the media.
It was being reported that he was offered to play the villain and he declined the same as he did not want to play a negative role.
Now, Ajay has revealed the real reason behind the same.
The ‘Golmaal 4’ actor said that he would have loved to be in Shankar’s movie, however, dates were not available.
He added that the director wanted him to shoot the movie right now and he is currently stuck with ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’.
Talking about the rumours of him rejecting the movie, he said that for an artiste, there is no shades of grey, black or white. He said that the more layers the actor have in a role, the better it is.
Ajay stated that he loved doing movies like ‘Khakee’, ‘Company’ where his negative characters were appreciated.
He further said that he cannot tell if the role in ‘Indian 2’ was grey or not as he is not doing it.
How come Jhansi Ki Rani can dance?
Director Krish Jagarlamudi is done with the bickering with Kangana Ranaut.
“I’ve had my say. No more. If she wants to believe she directed all of ‘Manikarnika’, so be it. Everyone knows the truth,” asserts Krish and vows to not get into any more war of words with the film’s aggressive leading lady and co-director.
However, one major issue that needs to be addressed is the singing and dancing that the Queen of Jhansi is seen indulging in with her subjects. In an elaborate song and dance sequence, Rani Laxmibai embarrasses the hell out of her husband, the King of Jhansi (played by Jisshu Sengupta) by dancing with the people of their state in a pregnant condition.
A source very close to the film says that the song and dance during times of raging battles was Kangana’s idea.
“Ek toh Rani, opoopar se garbhbati (firstly a queen and above it, pregnant). How can she be shown dancing in that unbecoming fashion? Krish was totally against the idea. The song-and-dance was added on by Kangana after Krish left,” the source says.
Significantly, when another Queen, Padmavati in an epic film in January 2018, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Padmaavat”, got up from her throne to take to the dance floor with her ladies-in-waiting, all hell had broken loose.
Deepika’s Rani Padmaavati was shown dancing to the Ghoomar song in the most graceful and queenly manner in a closed environment with the women from her durbar.
Bhansali said: “We wanted the Ghoomar song and dance to retain its purity since this was being performed by Rani Padmavati. Every step and every move in the dance form celebrates the grace of royalty.
“This is our dance tribute to the brave Rajput women of Rajasthan. I heard how little children performing the Ghoomar dance at a school in India were stopped.
“I’d like to tell those disruptive elements that you can’t stop something as beautiful and innocent as this from reaching out to the hearts of people across the world.”
Bhansali’s heart swells with pride to see Ghoomar reaching into the hearts and feet of American kids.
Says the director: “What better illustration of Prime Minster Narendra Modiji’s Make In India policy? I feel our culture is so rich and varied. We’ve so much to give the West. Why not take our culture and art forms to the West rather than continuously borrow their lifestyle and culture?”
All hell had broken lose with fringe groups demanding that the song-and-dance be removed or else they would cut off Deepika’s nose.
Says a source very close to the “Padmaavat” team: “When we showed Deepika dancing in the Queen’s inner chambers, we had to digitally cover Deepika’s midriff before the censor board allowed the Ghoomar song.
“Now in ‘Manikarnika’, again about a Queen, Kangana’s Rani Laxmibai jumps off her seat and breaks into a street-side jig with the commoners. That was okay? What is good enough for Rani Laxmbai is not befitting for Rani Padmavati? Please figure out that one.”
When pressed for a response, Krish said: “I don’t know where the singing and dancing came from. It wasn’t there when I was directing ‘Manikarnika’.”
The question remains: Why was it not right for Rani Padmavati to dance when everyone seems okay with the Rani Of Jhansi shaking a leg, midriff forgotten?

Why Lakshmi’s NTR Getting Repeat Viewers?
There are some folks who are watching the trailer of Lakshmi’s NTR quite repeatedly. While the intensity and the romance angle in the film have surely won all the attention, what makes some audience watch it repeat is this secret ingredient only.
The first thing that connected audiences to Lakshmi’s NTR is Ram Gopal Varma’s narrative only, but more than that, there is this particular thing. Actually, RGV made sure that the casting will be quite perfect. Even with no single name mentioned, viewers are able to identify the characters of Chandrababu, Hari Krishna, Balakrishna, and Mohan Babu quite easily.
Trending Memes on Lakshmi’s NTR
Probably the film should fetch the trophy of ‘Best Casting Director’ because each and every character is pitch perfect to their real ones. And also Varma made sure that he will get the dubbing pretty right as mimicry artists imitated the voices of those celebs perfectly. And then, the body language of these actors is a total match to the real celebs. This factor is surely bringing repeated audiences to the trailer.
What matters now is, can Varma create similar ripples with the full film too?
