Mamata vs Centre: Why KCR Is Silent?
Launching a trenchant attack on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Congress leader Vijayashanti today question about KCR’s silence over not reaching out to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamatha Banerjee. Questioning his intent and credibility of Federal Front, she said:”Where is KCR’s spirit of supporting regional parties now? Where is his idea of Federal Front now? Why isn’t he reaching out to Mamatha Banerjee at a time when she is facing trouble caused by the BJP government in her state?” she asked, speaking to reporters today.
Not stopping at that, Vijayashanti said that this silence and unresponsive attitude of KCR is a clear testimony to TRS’ support for the Bharatiya Janata Party. “If he was so concerned about other regional allies to make Federal Front a reality, he would have responded today. He is quiet because he supports the BJP. Wasn’t he the one who went running to Kolkata seeking TMC’s help for Federal Front? Now, where is this spirit of cooperative federalism where he wants regional parties to play a crucial role?,” she said, demanding an explanation from the TRS High Command.
The Congress leader was responding to the face-off between the CBI and West Bengal government when CBI officers on Sunday landed at the Kolkata Police chief’s residence to arrest him in relation to the Chit fund scams in the state. The CBI claimed it had evidence against the Kolkata Police commissioner. However, CBI officers were prevented from entering the top cop’s residence and were detained. This set off the battle between the CBI and Mamatha where she began a dharna and called it “Satyagraha” protesting the high-handed behavior of the BJP government in mussing democratic institutions for political vendetta.
Meanwhile, Vijayashanti alleged that TRS won due to tampering of EVMs and everyone in this state is aware of that. “There is no doubt over this, whatsoever. Everyone denies this in public, but in their heart, they know it is true. Now, the Chief Minister has time to perform Yagnas at his farm house and spend days in his farm house, but he has no time to respond on issues which are threatening the stability of state governments. The BJP wants to impose President’s rule in West Bengal just like it fiddled with Tamil Nadu and we will not accept this behavior from the NDA government,” she added.
Jokes on Purandheswari’s Translation of Amit Shah’s Speech
Daggubati Purandheswari, who was supposed to cross over to YCP along with her son Hitesh Chenchuram and husband Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, had been promised of a “important” position in BJP. And Chinnamma aka Purandheswari has stayed back.
And as promised, she has been asked to translate the speech of BJP national president Amit Shah at Palasa in Srikakulam. And quite strangely, this turned out into the butt of joke.
Purandheswari has translated Amit Shah’s speech from Hindi to Telugu. But Amit Shah in his own way attacked Congress, UPA and their regime in 2004. Purandheswari has translated the same. What is so irony is that same Purandheswari was Union Minister in UPA i.e under Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi rule. Without hesitating much, Purandheswari has translated all his criticism on UPA rule in 2004. This is quite irony that the same person, who was once in government, had joined Opposition and criticizing the previous tenure publicly.
This is not all. Amit Shah has listed out the central research & educational institutions it granted to AP. He claimed that BJP has been offering its great to AP. He even alleged that Chandrababu Naidu is misleading the people of the state.
Despite the claims, Shah’s visit turned out to be a poor show. There are no takers for Amit Shah’s claims over Centre’s aid to the state. Netizens have ridiculed Amit Shah over his wrong claims. They sharply criticized BJP for giving a raw deal to the state.

Naidu Looking For Excuses For Defeat!
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is apprehensive of his impending defeat in the forthcoming assembly elections and is therefore looking for excuses for the same.
It is clearly evident from Naidu’s hue and cry over the malfunctioning of Electronic Voting Machines in the elections and his nation-wide campaign to do away with EVMs and for returning to the ballot paper method.
Naidu, along with the other opposition parties at the national level including the Congress, went to the Election Commission of India on Monday to submit a memorandum on doing away with the EVMs in the coming elections.
However, his arch rival and YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy dismissed Naidu’s apprehensions on EVMs and defended Bharatiya Janata Party’s stand on the same.
Speaking to media in New Delhi, Jagan said Nadu needs someone or something to blame for his imminent defeat.
“In 2014 elections in which Naidu won by a slender margin of 1% votes, he did not complain of EVMs. The party which did not do well in the recent state elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also did not complain about EVMs. But what this man is trying to do is to take cover on one pretext or the other after the poll debacle,” he said.
Jagan, however, lodged a complaint with EC alleging that Naidu government had indulged in large scale irregularities in the voters list and gross misuse of official machinery.
He sought immediate remedial steps to ensure a free and fair election in Andhra Pradesh.
He alleged that over 59.18 lakh ineligible voters were included in the list of which 20 lakh people have double votes in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh while the remaining 20 lakh have double votes within the state.
While this exercise was done to swell their votes, they have taken up enumeration process in the name of various surveys to identify YSRCP sympathisers and are deleting their names to double up the effect, he said.
Vasundhara to replace Balakrishna in Hindupur?
Going by the latest speech and women attractive dialogues from Balakrishna’s wife, it looks Andhra Pradesh may likely see another woman from Nandamuri family entering into straight politics. The Actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna’s wife Vasundhara has always stayed away from media attention and she hardly addressed the public gatherings. But, during her recent visit to Hindupur which is being represented by Balayya, she not just spoke about TDP’s governance in state but also said that election promise given to people of Hindupur is going to be delivered soon.
For the second window distribution of cheques as part of Pasupu-Kunkuma scheme, MLA Balakrishna and his wife Vasundhara attended as the chief guests in Hindupur. During the visit, they have opened ‘Anna Canteen’ in market area and later, Balakrishna addressed a meeting wherein he said Telugu Desham government is working efficiently with transparency and accountability. ‘After NTR, CM Chandrababu Naidu is working round the clock for women empowerment and he introduced Dwakra groups for their development. Also, the party is encouraging women in all sectors and the government is making efforts to make them great entrepreneurs,’ he said
Later, Balakrishna’s wife Vasundhara took everyone by surprise and said: “As we promised during elections, the water problem in Hindupur is going to be resolved soon.” While hailing the Pasupu-Kunkuma scheme for women, she said that “AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is not only my brother, but he is brother to all the women in Andhra.”
This is apparently a great boost for TDP cadre in the constituency and her comments have called for a huge discussion in the town. Whether is she planning to contest from Hindupur in 2019? Also given the reports that Balakrishna may fight from Krishna district, Vasundhara may fight her first poll battle from Hindupur. Only time will answer if there’s any truth in it.
