A few weeks ago, social media was abuzz with reports that veteran actor Paresh Rawal had opted out of Hera Pheri 3, sending shockwaves among fans of the beloved comedy franchise. As one of the franchise’s most iconic characters, Babu Bhaiya, Paresh’s exit was hard for audiences to accept. Adding fuel to the fire, it was even reported that co-star Akshay Kumar had served legal notices to Rawal, allegedly seeking compensation for damages.
However, all seems to be well now. In a recent interview, Paresh Rawal put all speculation to rest by confirming that he is very much a part of Hera Pheri 3. He assured fans that the team has resolved all differences and that the shoot is likely to commence soon.
Addressing the controversy, Paresh said, “There was no real controversy. When people love something so deeply, we owe it to them to handle it with care. We’ve received immense love from the audience over the years, and we should never take that for granted. It’s our responsibility to deliver something they will truly enjoy.”
He further added, “I simply felt that all of us should put in our best and work hard to make a great film. That’s all. Everything is sorted now.” He also confirmed that there are no issues with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, or director Priyadarshan, and that the entire team is now aligned and ready to move forward.
Hera Pheri is one of the most successful comedy franchises in Hindi cinema. The first film released in 2000 and its sequel in 2006—both of which were box office hits and have since achieved cult status. With all core members now back on board, fans can finally look forward to the long-awaited third instalment.
