Why These Heroes Rejected Rx 100 Director?

No top star will be ready to blindly give away his dates to a new filmmaker who has scored a blockbuster with his first film. We all know about the massive box-office success of RX100 and how much it impressed our audiences. With this film, director Ajay Bhupathi has attracted attention of many established actors in Tollywood. But, sadly, the filmmaker is yet to begin his next movie in Telugu.

Actor Ram Pothineni, who was keen to work with the director, turned down the script narrated by Ajay and onboarded to Puri’s movie ‘iSmart Shankar’. Even Nithin showed interest to work in his direction, but he too rejected Ajay’s story and is concentrating on other projects.

So, now, the filmmaker is in discussions with an actor who is striving for a big success – Srinivas Bellamkonda. If everything falls in place, Ajay will direct B Srinivas for his second film. Last year, RX 100 was one of the big hits among small budget films. But, the director of that film not gaining his next projects how mature our actors are. In the past, many Telugu actors used to encourage the newcomers (directors) who delivered a super hit with their first movie.

Naidu To Be National Grand Alliance Convenor?

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to emerge as the front runner for the post of convenor of the proposed grand alliance at the national level to pull down the Bharatiya Janata Party from power at the Centre in the coming elections.

According to sources in Delhi, the proposal to make Naidu as the convenor was mooted by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar and it was supported by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M K Stalin and National Conference president Farooq Abdulla. Even Congress president Rahul Gandhi gave his approval for the same.

Naidu has been taking the initiative to bring all the anti-BJP parties together to form a grand alliance. So far, 13 parties have responded positively and attended the meeting convened in New Delhi on December 10. All of them have appreciated the initiative taken by Naidu.

Apparently, the alliance leaders have observed that it was time for all of them to come together and form a common platform, rather than making last minute arrangements for the alliance.

“If there is no common structure for the alliance, there is every possibility that the regional parties would take their own stand and might tilt towards the BJP for their political interests. We should not allow it to happen,” Pawar said.

Since there is no common group and no leader to coordinate all of them, they felt that Naidu should take the initiative in this regard.

However, the major stumbling blocks for the alliance are: Trinamul Congress president and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, who are not willing to accept Rahul Gandhi as their leader.

It is learnt Naidu is trying to convince them that the first objective is to defeat the BJP and the prime ministerial candidate could be decided later, depending on the poll outcome.

He is suggesting that the regional parties could contest in maximum number of seats in their respective states, but finally there should be a common thread that would stitch them together, if they have to defeat the BJP.

Comedian Ali’s Shock to Pawan Kalyan

Modi Cuts Short Chandrababu’s Davos Tour

The battle between AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone from political to personal. As a regular to the World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland, Chandrababu has been visiting the country to attract investments to Andhra Pradesh.

As part of his customary visit along with an official delegation from the state comprising of ministers and businessmen, he meets businessmen, foreign investors and several innovators and philanthropists who can work with the Government of Andhra Pradesh as well as bring in new models of development. However, this year being his 4th straight visit, he will have to restrict the number of people in the Government delegation to Davos.

As part of protocol, the state government has sent a request to the Government of India to allow a 14 member delegation to Davos. However, the Centre has restricted the number to just 4 people. This apart, while the World Economic Forum 2019 is set to go on for 7 days from January 20th to 26th, the Minister of External Affairs has informed the AP government to cut its tour to just 4 days instead of 7 days.

This is the first time that the Minister of External Affairs (MEA) has interfered with Chandrababu’s foreign tours and has levied restrictions. This attitude of the Government of India is in complete contrast to its own behaviour from two years ago when the MEA chose Chandrababu to lead Indian delegation to China on behalf of the Prime Minister.

One wonders why the sudden attempts of the Government of India to introduce such weird restrictions on a Chief Minister’s foreign trips!

Naidu Mediating Reddys In Jammalamadugu

The political rivalry in Jammalamadugu constituency in Kadapa district among Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders has reached party Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. Of late, there have been differences between Adinarayana Reddy who is a minister in AP cabinet and Rama Subba Reddy, another leader from the faction-ridden constituency.

Apparently, the TDP Chief set up a meeting with the two leaders along with TDP MP CM Ramesh and told them that one would get to contest an MP seat and the other as an MLA. During the discussion, Chandrababu asked them to arrive at a decision and inform him. Several issues cropped up during the meeting which went on till early morning. Tired of not reaching a conclusion, Chandrababu told them to decide and give him their decision within two days.

However, the Jammalamadugu leaders still seem to have no solution about it and Chandrababu is not happy with this news. According to TDP sources, Adinarayana Reddy is said to have told Chandrababu that if he is given an MP seat, it is the TDP Chief’s job to convince his supporters and that it should be taken care of by him. On the other hand, Rama Subba Reddy also hasn’t arrived at a decision.

With this ongoing tussle between the two leaders, it is said that Chandrababu may soon arrive at a final decision and both of them will have to accept the outcome.

Sabarimala Riots: 1 Dead, 750 Arrested, 100 People & 30 Police injured

Right wing activist called for a strike in protest of two women entering Sabarimala yesterday. This turned into huge riots across Kerala and more than 750 were arrested for attacking several shops and police personnel when tried to control the mob. A person, Chandran Unnithan died on Wednesday, who was attacked by CPM workers during his protest march by the Sabarimala Karma Samithi in Pandalam.

They were armed with home made bombs and stones and have attacked the streets since morning and many shops. The strike was called by an umbrella organisation of right-wing groups and Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad, called Sabarimala Karma Samithi. BJP supported the strike against CPM govt while Congress observed a ‘black day’.

The strike turned violent in many places like Kozhikode, Kannur Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram, that compelled police to use batons and water cannons.

Many people were injured in the riots. In an incident where the BJP men tried to force shut down a restaurant, they suffered knife wounds in Thissur during altercation with workers of the Social Democratic Party of India, a popular wing of a militant islamic outfit.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan came down heavily on BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh for provoking violence and calling strikes against the constitutional rights of women.

Kalyan Ram Reveals why Tarak did not Act in NTR

There have been many versions in the air about the differences between Tarak and Balakrishna, and also how it shaped up to keep the young actor away from appearing in NTR biopic and how he kept himself away from the election campaign.

Neither Balakrishna nor NTR would speak up on this directly and we have Kalyan Ram to reveal facts to some extent. The other day, Kalyan Ram spoke to news daily about many interesting things and this question on how Tarak could not Tarak be part of Balakrishna’s NTR biopic is also answered.

When asked on why there is nothing for Tarak in the famous biopic of NTR, Kalyan Ram started off saying that there is no role of ‘Balakrishna’ in the film, as it all deals more about NTR himself. The makers wanted to show what is needed and necessary, according to Kalyan Ram. And coming to Tarak’s absence, Kalyan Ram reminded how Balakrishna invited Tarak to the important event of audio release and asked him to unveil the songs of ‘NTR’.

“It won’t be fair to ask Tarak to play a small role in NTR biopic and that won’t even make the fans happy. Even for my films, I cannot just ask Tarak to appear in a glimpse just because of him being my brother. He is a superstar and he deserves respect for his stardom” says Kalyan Ram.

KTR’s ‘Rangasthalam’ and Harish’s ‘Shaneshwaram’?

What ensured TRS partys’ stupendous victory in the recent Telangana Assembly polls?

Is it KCR’s famous abuse of criticising leaders of Mahakutami as “Thoo mee bathuku cheda”? or KTR’s chanting Rangasthalam song? or Harish’s typical self-created proverb of ‘Shaneshwaram’?

TRS leaders and cadre acknowledge that it’s KTR’s ‘Rangasthalam’ and Harish’s ‘Shaneshwaram’ proverb has struck a perfect chord with voters than KCR’s abuses.

In all the election meetings that he addresed, KCR chanted popular song from Ramcharan’s Rangasthalam movie, “Aa Gattununtaava Naganna, Ee Gattununtaava”, to caution Telangana voters to decide for themselves whether they want to remain with TRS, which is a true Telangana party or they want to remain with Andhra Party TDP-dominated Mahakutami.

During the recent launch of Ramcharan’s “VVV” trailer, KTR, who was the chief guest, admitted that he used Rangasthalam song in almost all the election meetings which evoked huge response and he thanked Ramcharan and music director Devi Prasad for contributing to TRS victory in this form without their knowledge.

But KTR was quick enough to crack a joke saying that Ramcharan and Devi Sri should not ask him now to pay money for using Rangasthalam song.

Similarly, Harish’s created his own proverb “TRS vasthe Kaleshwaram, Congress vasthe Shaneshwaram” to send a clear message to Telangana voters that if TRS comes to power, Kaleshwaram project will be completed and if Congress comes to power, people will be troubled by ‘shani’, which brings sorrow, sickness, depression and other ill-effects.

People decided to remain with TRS gattu from KTR’s Rangasthalam song and people favoured Kaleshwaram water over Shaneshwaram shani and the result is history.
