After NTR Biopic, Now Modi Biopic: Same Mistake
Rather showing the unseen side, if anyone showcases that they are born legends and never did any mistake in their life, people are not ready to accept such biopics. The results of films like #NTR Mahanayakudu, Kathanayakudu, and YSR’s Yaatra are a testimony of that.
While elections are set for April 11th in southern states followed by other states at much later dates, now a film on Prime Minister Narendra Modi is releasing on April 5th. Whether you call it politically motivated or aimed to increase the attention around this BJP bigwig, truth is that sugar coated scenes won’t work at the box office.
A look at the trailer showcases that Modi is an upright, intellectual and ethical guy who has grown to become that righteous man since childhood. Played by Vivek Oberoi, all the attires of Modi looked quite artificial in the first time, leave the content alone. What is the need to wrap this flick at a brisk pace and release before elections?
The only saving grace of the film is that it is directed by Omung Kumar of Mary Kom and Sarabjit fame.
Gorgeous Sayyesha from her honeymoon pics
Kollywood actors Arya and Sayyesha, after getting married to each other on March 9th in Taj Faluknuma Palace, finally got to relax at their honeymoon spot. The romantic lodgings have been first shared by Sayyesha herself on her Instagram account and the fans, even since the wedding, have been expecting their honeymoon snaps to come in sooner or later.
The destination is however not disclosed but the backdrop looks surreal. Sayyesha is seen with the coffee cup in her hand, donning lovely red nail colour and spaghetti strapped white dress. A couple of pictures posted by her looks like a picture-perfect honeymoon destination.
This romantic getaway also had a swimming pool experience where the actress is seen relishing the atmosphere with cool shades on her. Looks like the room they stay is from luxury villas with a beautiful swimming pool view.
Here’s hoping the couple makes the best of this well-deserved honeymoon.
When Is This ‘Don And Playboy’ Coming Up?
One of the most talented actors who is yet to get a big break is none other than Sharwanand. Though his caliber got proved with right commercial mixes like Run Raja Run and Mahanabhavudu, somehow he is still lacking in the race.
After the disastrous show of Padi Padi Leche Manasu at the box office, Sharwa is all set to come up with the film being directed by Sudheer Varma of Swamy Ra Ra fame. The film went through a lot of hiccups but finally completed a schedule in Spain recently, which brings almost all the filming to an end.
Inside the film, we hear that Sharwa is playing a middle-aged real estate settlement don and another role of a playboy. While the elder one romances Kajal Agarwal, the younger one will shake a leg with Kalyani Priyadarshan on the silver screen. So, when is this film going to release anyway?
We hear that post Summer, the film will be hitting screens after looking at an appropriate date that will have no competition. Currently, post-production works are going on.
Pawan’s MLA Candidates: Laborer’s Son & Bus Conductor’s Son
They neither have money, nor they have a powerful background but today they are the contestants of Janasena Party in the upcoming assembly election. Introducing the ‘new age’ politics for real, actually, Pawan Kalyan is becoming the talking point everywhere right now though our prime media ignores it completely.
Firstly we have young man Gowri Shankar who is contesting as MLA from Parvatipuram, Vizianagaram district. His father Gongada Gumpaswamy is an agriculture laborer, while mother Appayyamma is a vegetable vendor. And this young chap is a part of Jana Sena Leadership Program we hear.
Then we have Gedela Chaitanya who is contesting on JSP ticket from Pathapatnam in Srikakulam district. He happens to be the son of a retired bus conductor and is an activist who worked for Uddanam issue in the district. Impressed by his social service, Pawan gave him a ticket to contest as MLA.
In the above said two constituencies, actually Pawan has extensively toured earlier and he has strong support among masse and youths there. But only the victory of these candidates will ensure that an election could be won even without money. Let’s wait for April 11th.
Chandrababu’s special wishes to Devaansh
Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu is super busy with the election campaign and yesterday he appealed to all the TDP leaders and cadre to work 18 hours a day for the party’s victory in the elections. This means there will be no person space for any leader and even for him.
But Chandrababu took some time out of his frenetic schedule and wished his grandson Devaansh, a very happy birthday. Sharing the picture of his with Devaansh, Chandrababu wrote, “Lots of blessings and love to the apple of my eye Devaansh, on his birthday.” And then added, “Four years ago we were blessed with our bundle of joy and watching him grow by leaps and bounds fills my heart with delight.”
Well, as they say, kids can ease the pressure, this few minutes Chandrababu might have breathed calm.
Comedian Ali’s Secret Talks With Pawan Kalyan
Noted comedian Ali has joined YSR Congress hastily, bidding goodbye to Telugudesam Party, with an expectation of party berth for MLA ticket. However, YS Jagan has ditched him big time and rendered him only to that photo where he wrapped a Kanduva around his neck.
Reports are now coming that Ali got hurt badly and he’s in talks with his friend Pawan Kalyan for a Janasena ticket. Though PK is not in a mood to encourage Ali now, though he would have given him a ticket if he approached him before joining YSR Congress, Ali is said to be persuading him.
Last night Ali had a talk with Pawan via phone, and then the comedian is said to have met Nagababu as well to help him get a ticket. One wonders if Janasena will really offer him a ticket, but for the kind of comments he made on the party earlier, Janasena supporters are not going to like one for him.
On the other hand, Ali is also looking at joining Janasena and promoting Nagababu such that tomorrow Pawan might offer at least an MLC berth.
Nagababu Vs Roja: Level Ayipoyindi
Both Nagababu and Roja are quite popular in Telugu states as judges of “Jabardasth” comedy show which became the highest TRP getter that is actually responsible for the existence of a once celebrated channel.
And whenever Roja makes some harsh comments on Pawan Kalyan in the political dominion, Nagababu used to say that he looks at her only as a TV show colleague. It is not known if he didn’t want to speak because he is not in a political circuit, but he always maintained silence.
Now that the mega brother has joined Janasena, surely he got all the boosting on earth to take on Roja, who has earlier insulted mega heroes big time with her comments. As a member of Janasena and as their Narsapuram MP contestant, will Nagababu counter Roja’s criticism now?
For now, the mega fans could comfortably say that ‘level ayipoyindi’ word with Nagababu’s entry.
Paruchuri’s Post Portem Of #VVR Gets Thumbs Up
Despite the fact that the film Vinaya Vidheya Rama got a thumbs down from critics, thanks to Ram Charan’s mega fanbase that it collected almost 60 crores share from the box office. All said and done, the hard work of hero and director Boyapati could be felt inside the film, though they didn’t tackle the story well.
Explaining this, senior writer Paruchri Gopalakrishna has come with a beautiful analysis for the failure of the film. He found out that handling the human-drama angle of the story in a poor way is the major setback as the suspense element of hiding brother’s death till the end hasn’t paid anything.
At the same time, Paruchuri expressed that scene topography failed to connect as audiences got confused as to where each scene is happening. He explained that some scenes are tricky to believe as we don’t understand if they are happening in Vizag or Bihar.
He also felt that beating the same villain (Vivek Oberoi) again and again, and then conveniently forgetting the first villain (Mukesh Rushi) on whose revenge the film has opened up, are a couple of screenplay mistakes. At the same time, he opined that the title of the film is giving a different opinion of the film, and the content is something else.
Also, the senior writer explained how certain scenes in the film took inspiration from Gang Leader movie including that of the whole setup and hero’s introduction scene. While this post mortem of Paruchuri is getting thumbs up from many, we have to see how fans respond on this.
Thaman’s Television Entry Will Be A Gamechanger
A dancing show being judged by a choreographer and a singing show being judged by a singer- is what Telugu TV industry is known for all these days. But in abroad or in Hindi arena, they will have different people doing this.
The likes of Kirron Kher, Malaika Arora, Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit, Javed Akhtar, Farah Khan are judges for both dance, talent and singing shows too. Simply said, actors and composers often join in the panel. Treading in a similar path, now Star MAA’s upcoming film Super Singer will see composer Thaman as a judge, while actress Hari Teja is hosting the show with singer Revanth.
If Star MAA clicks with this show and Thaman also turns to be impressive, then other channels will also witness actors, composers, dancers being part of singing shows rather than just singers alone, feel industry experts. All these days it used to be like those singers with knowledge of music will be able to judge well, but to judge someone else’s singing, one should have a taste of music, more than anything else.
Super Singer will be kickstarting from March 23rd and Thaman is quite excited about this.
Quality Or Quantity: Decide Dear Heroes
There is this section of young heroes who are quite choosy with their films and then scoring brownie points. But there is another set that is choosing quantity over quality and falling flat at the box office.
In the wake of Sai Kumar’s son Aadi Pudipeddi kick-starting the muhurat event of his new film other day under newcomer Karthik Vignesh, an interesting discussion is happening in Film Nagar. He has already films like Operation Goldfish and Burrakatha in hands for a release and started a new one now. But it would have been better if he went slow based on the result of those films.
Earlier the likes of Nara Rohit has done back to back films without any gap and after a series of failures now he went into hibernation without any notice. Same is the case with Sandeep Kishan who considered quantity over quality. That’s why admirers of Aadi are now fearing this back to back bang.
Well, our heroes should decide about what they want to do and it’s better if they picked up quality over quantity.
Kajal and Catherine Signed up For Kanaka Durga
Mass Maharaja Raviteja will be doing two movies simultaneously. Disco Raja directed by VI Anand will start rolling shortly and his other film produced by Mythri Movie Makers also is getting ready to hit the floors.
Directed by Santosh Srinivas of Kandireega fame, Mythri’s film is a remake of Theri, which was dubbed into Telugu as Policeodu.
Kanaka Durga is the title registered by Mythri Movie Makers for this film in which Raviteja will be seen as a tough police officer. Kajal Agarwal and Catherine Tresa have been signed up for the female lead roles.
Interestingly, Santosh Srinivas made changes to Theri script to suit Pawan Kalyan’s image, but the project landed in Raviteja’s hands after Pawan got busy with politics.
Raviteja has kept this subject on hold after the failure of Amar Akbar Anthony, but he is convinced with the recent narration given by Santosh Srinivas and has decided to do Disco Raja and Kanaka Durga simultaneously.
Two Former TTD Chairmen to Battle it Out in Polls
Tirupati: Two former chairmen of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will lock horns in the Tirupati constituency in the April 11 assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh.
Chadalavada Krishnamurthy, who has been fielded by the Jana Sena, will be pitted against another former TTD Chairman B Karunakara Reddy of YSRCP.
Interestingly, this is the first time two former TTD chairpersons are locked in an electoral battle in the temple town, which will witness a multi-cornered contest also involving sitting TDP MLA M Suguna.
Krishnamurthy, who belongs to a dominant Balija community, quit the Telugu Desam Party led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu last year and later joined actor Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party.
Krishnamurthy had served as chairman of the TTD Board, which administers the cash-rich ancient Lord Venkateswara temple at nearby Tirumala among others in 2015 while
Karunakara Reddy held the coveted post in 2006. Krishnamurthy had quit the TDP last year after levelling corruption allegations against Suguna.
Reel Buzz: Tabu is Allu Arjun’s Mother!
Trivikram likes to cast veteran heroines in elderly roles in his films. Nadhiya played Pawan Kalyan’s Attha in Atharintidi Daredi and Kushboo played Pawan’s step mother in Agnyathavasi.
Now he is thinking to rope in yesteryears dream girl Tabu as Allu Arjun’s mother in his upcoming film #AA19.
Allu Arjun and the other team are reportedly excited with the idea of casting Tabu in a key role, but Trivikram is yet to meet Tabu and offer her the said role.
We have to wait and see whether Tabu is willing to play the mother character or not.
Trivikram has finished the script work and getting the pre production work done before the film starts rolling.
The film is likely to hit the floors in April. Meanwhile, there is buzz about the film’s title in a section of media. Nanna Nenu is the title in consideration according to media speculations.
