Rajamouli Son’s Wedding: What Is #BangaramSaysSS?
As Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya is tying the knot with Pooja Prasad (Jagapathi Babu’s niece), the hungama that is happening in Jaipur right now has touched the interiors of Telugu states too. And here is an unknown thing to be decoded.
With Ram Charan’s wife, entrepreneur and socialite Upasana Kamineni tweeting some pics of her husband from the location, everyone felt super happy. But then, she is seen using the hashtag #BangaramSaysSS in her tweets. Then many other celebs are seen inserting that tag into their tweets, while many commoners also used it big time.
As Rajamouli is popular for his #WKKB (Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali?) tag, one wonders what this #BangaramSaysSS is all about. A little dig revealed that actually, Karthikeya calls Pooja as Bangaram, while she calls him as SS. And the hashtag is indicating their marriage in a romantic way. That’s it, folks!
Anushka’s Latest Look: No Comments Please

Just a couple of days ago, we have discussed in these columns that many cinema lovers and fans of our beautiful Devasena are actually waiting for her first look post weight loss. And the day has come in an expected way.
Other day when Anushka Shetty landed in Jaipur to attend the wedding of director giant Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya, she was clicked by the shutterbugs. And then, there are trolls and memes that are getting viral around her. Because Anushka hasn’t lost anything considerably big, other than giving up a few pounds of her previous look.
Well, loosing and gaining weight is something personal and we have to adore her in whatever way she looks like. Though she has made many bachelors fly in fantasy lands with her appearances in films like Vikramarkudu, there is no hard and fast rule that she should stick to that figure all the time.
For whatever reason that maybe, Anushka is still chubby and we love that look!!
Pic Talk: Kiara’s first ever bikini treat
Bollywood heroine Kiara Advani who made her debut with Mahesh Babu’s ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ will be next seen in ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ opposite Ram Charan.
Having wrapped up the shooting, Kiara went on a holiday before she resumes promotions. On that note, Kiara has shared a picture of her which is going viral.
Appearing in bikini wear for the first time, this north beauty turned up the heat all of a sudden. Her Instagram followers are stunned by this and are pouring down with LIKES.
Seems like Kiara is sending indirect signals that she is also up for glam show.
Can NTR Helps Balayya To Collect 200 crs?
Forget about the business and the way the film will succeed at the box office because this happens to be a biopic that will rake interesting in all corners no matter how the film is. That said, numbers also matter to certain sections and let us have a look at them in the case of #NTR biopic.
In recent times, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s best collections have come from his Gautamiputra Satakarni movie which collected nearly 50+ crores ‘share’ from the box office. And the very same Krish and Balayya are now delivering Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu which is based on the life and times of legendary NTR. So how much they would amass?
Trade circuits are saying that as the films generated huge hype already and with one of them releasing around Sankranthi festival, the first part might surely collect nearly 70+ crores share from the box office. And if that part could leave enough suspense, then the second part that is releasing in February might also collect similar figures or something ranging from 50 to 70+ crores.
And then, the film might click a bit in Tamil and if it also works in Hindi, it might add up to 10+ to 20+ crores share from other languages. If we take up all the higher side figures, then it may collect nearly 160 crores ‘share’ from the box office. And with nearly 45-50 crores on the cards for audio, digital and satellite rights, the total collection made by #NTR biopic is likely to touch 200 crores with the two films together.
Let’s see what happens in reality with only two weeks to go for the film to hit cinemas.
Mega Family Almost Opened Up! What Next?

Recently, the only thing that is lingering in the minds of cinema folks is, whether mega family heroes will join Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena election campaign or not. Like the way NTR and Kalyanram stayed away from Kukatpally election, what is this mega batch going to do?
For that, we have to say that all the mega heroes have already opened up. Recently Varun Tej gave 1 crore donation to Janasena party thereby officially opening up that he is a supporter of that party. And then, we have Nagababu also openly saying that he supports his younger brother.
And now, in the presence of Megastar Chiranjeevi itself, Ram Charan endorsed the weight of a ‘teacup’ and wished a mega win for it in the upcoming election. Even his good friend KT Rama Rao wished Pawan Kalyan all the success in his political journey. Then we have Allu Arjun donating water plants to Titli cyclone victims in Srikakulam and gave them to Janasena party cadre to operate.
So what more mega heroes have to tell that they are supporters of Janasena party? Now that most of them opened up, will they join the campaign trail too? Wait and watch!
Balayya Said No, Venky Okays Him!
It looks like star director VV Vinayak is having a tough time convincing heroes for his next project. After Akhil’s debacle, although he scored a blockbuster with Khaidi No 150, the entire credit went to Chiranjeevi. And then, Vinayak faced another flop with Inttelligent.
For the last few months, Vinayak has been trying hard to get Balayya nod to his next project. However, Balayya announced recently that his next film will be directed by Boyapati Srinu. Now, we have exclusively learnt that Vinayak has now approached Venkatesh with the script.
Venky seems to be keen on teaming up with Vinayak, and the talks are going on. Incidentally, Venky and Vinayak head first collaborated on Lakshmi. Released in 2006, the film went on to become a huge hit. Whether the Lakshmi combo will materialise or not for the second time remains to be seen.
Bangladesh intensifies security as Hasina seeks re-election on Sunday
Dhaka: Bangladesh stepped up security with thousands of army troops patrolling the streets along with paramilitary forces and police as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina seeks a record fourth term in Sunday’s general elections.
Over 600,000 security personnel including several thousand soldiers and paramilitary border guards have been deployed across the country to help conduct the election in which 10.41 crore people are eligible to vote.
Security agencies have been asked to keep an extra vigil on religious minority communities as media reports said at least three Hindu households were set on fire by miscreants between December 16 and 26, Bangladesh’s telecoms regulator also ordered the country’s mobile operators to shut down 3G and 4G services until midnight on Sunday “to prevent the spread of rumours” that could trigger unrest during the elections, the 11th since Bangladesh won independence from Pakistan in 1971.
According to the Election Commission, 1,848 candidates are contesting for 299 out of 300 Parliament seats.
The polls will be held at 40,183 polling stations. Thirteen people have been killed and thousands injured in clashes between supporters of Hasina’s ruling Awami League and activists of the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Hasina, who is seeking to return to power for a third consecutive time, on Saturday feared the opposition could boycott polls in the middle of voting as part of a “political trick” to evade a “humiliating defeat”.
“I want to caution all about the character of (main opposition) BNP…they may say in the middle (of the elections) that we are boycotting the polls,” she said. “In that case (opposition boycott) I will ask our candidates and other contenders to continue polls until the voting is ended,” Hasina, 71, said.
The premier’s comments came as the main opposition BNP is contesting the polls visibly in a dilapidated state in the absence of jailed party chief Zia, 73, and her fugitive son Tarique Rahman who is the acting party chief.
Zia, serving a 10-year prison term on graft charges, has been barred from contesting the polls while Rahman is living in London ostensibly to evade the law as a court has sentenced him to life imprisonment for masterminding a grenade attack on a rally in 2004 that killed 24 Awami League leaders and activists.
The BNP has stayed out of the parliamentary process since 2014 when it boycotted the general election over its demands for a poll-time non-party government. It has returned to parliamentary politics as part of a new alliance – National Unity Front (NUF) – that was cobbled together three months ago with eminent lawyer Kamal Hossain as its convener.
But the party is in a state of disarray in the absence of its two top leaders. Election Commission last week allowed hardline Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami, a crucial ally of BNP, to contest the general elections, two months after it scraped the fundamentalist party’s registration.
BNP earlier accused the election commission of being bias during the electoral campaign, a charge rejected by Chief Election Commissioner Nurul Huda.
Reacting on Hasina’s remarks, BNP’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said “There is no dispute in our party about taking part in the polls.”
“But what we see, there is no festive mood anywhere and rather a sense of fright is prevailing across the country due to government intimidation,” he said.
Chief Election Commissioner Huda in a nationwide address on Saturday acknowledged a media report about arrests of some polling agents of BNP candidates and called such action “unwanted.”
“Unless someone is wanted under certain case, police must not arrest anyone…maintain utmost neutrality in discharging your duties,” he said.
The opposition parties have alleged that thousands of its leaders and activists have been arrested to weaken them.
The Rapid Action Battalion or RAB on Friday night arrested eight people for circulating “provocative videos and rumours” on social media relating to parliamentary election. Video-making materials, laptops and mobile phones were seized from the detainees, officials said.
