No Takers For Naidu Again In Telangana!
It appears Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has become a persona non grata in Telangana, after the recent debacle of the grand alliance or Maha Kootami in the recent assembly elections in the state.
Many leaders in the Maha Kootami has now started expressing their views rather openly that Naidu’s campaign had done more harm than good to the alliance.
“There should not have been any alliance with the TDP in the first place, as the people of Telangana still feel Naidu is the real villain who had tried to stall the formation of separate state till the last moment. They were carried away by TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s campaign that Naidu was trying to bring back Andhra colonial rule back in Telangana,” a Congress leader said.
Telangana Jana Samithi president M Kodandaram also felt that the intense campaign of Naidu in Telangana was one of the reasons for the Maha Kootami’s failure in the elections.He said people thought that elections were a fight between KCR and Naidu.
Another Congress leader said it was initially thought the TDP vote bank would get transferred to the Congress.“Especially, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu’s campaign would help attract settlers’ votes. But the strategy backfired completely,” he said.
Naidu to make ‘Pragathi Nivedana’ ala KCR?
Close on the heels of TRS president and chief minister KCR, who presented his progress report in the name of “Pragathi Nivedana” at Kongara Kalan public rally on September 2, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, too, has decided to come out with his progress report.
Naidu is planning to release a series of white papers on the progress achieved by his government in the last four and a half years, in the wake of reports that the Election Commission of India might announce the schedule for general elections to Lok Sabha and also other state assemblies.
“The white papers will have a comparison of the state’s position in 2014 and the present status in various sectors. They will give a realistic picture of what the state has achieved in the last four years,” Naidu said.
He said the the white papers would make the people understand how precarious the foundations of the reorganised state of AP were in 2014 and how the state progressed in the last four years.“After the division, the state made a lot of achievements in several sectors and they would be reflected in the white papers,” he said.
He said despite the problems, the state was facing on various fronts, he was making all-out efforts to make AP a role model for the global community.One wonders whether the people would go by the white papers or the ground situation they are witnessing every day.

Buzz: Sye Raa Also Aiming At 2019 Release!
There have been speculations on Sye Raa missing out on 2019 release due to delay in filming.We heard that Sye Raa is aiming for Sankranthi 2020 release, but according to the latest buzz from Tollywood circles, the mega budget period film has set eyes on Dussera 2019 release.
Megastar Chiranjeevi has fixed the deadline for Surender Reddy and his team as the film’s expenses have gone up beyond estimates already. Therefore, further delays in release will only make it tough for recovery due to high interest rates.
Chiranjeevi believes Dussera is good enough a season to bank upon for such a massive budget movie.
Although producer Ram Charan was against putting deadlines for wrapping up Sye Raa, Megastar is worried about the rising expenditure.
Chiranjeevi doesn’t want Sye Raa to end up like 2.0, which ended up as a cost failure.
Varun Tej Reveals Many Secrets
I have total free hand in selection of stories, no one involves in my work, confesses Varun Tej. His father Naga Babu has no role in finalizing a movie. In the same breath, he adds that he doesn’t interfere in a director’s work once the script is locked.Varun Tej, the tall and handsome actor, will appear as astronaut in “Antariksham” that is hitting the theaters this Friday. This is Tollywood’s first space thriller.
“This genre has not been attempted before. All those who want to watch something different would connect with Antariksham. I am also happy to say that we have made a film that Telugu cinema can feel proud of,” he says about the movie.He further adds that the film has more than 1000 Computer Generated shots and entire second half runs in the space.
Coming to his career in general, he said he had made mistakes in selecting stories when he worked with senior directors like Puri Jagannadh and Sreenu Vaitla. His choices with young directors proved to be right.

Devi Sri Prasad’s music has been a disappointment so far.
Being a masala entertainer, Vinaya Vidheya Rama needs a chartbuster album and crowd pulling elements to withstand the competition from a legendary biopic and a hilarious multi-starrer.While NTR and F2 teams are busy with their promotional plans, VVR is yet to wrap up the filming part. VVR quickly needs something that creates hype and boosts the expectations over it.
KCR To Retain Major Portfolios?
There has been a lot of suspense in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi over the proposed cabinet expansion by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.Though it was expected that KCR would expand his council of ministers on Tuesday itself, it did not happen for reasons known only to him.
Later, a leak from the Chief Minister’s Office says KCR is doing exercise on cabinet formation and the expansion might take place in the last week of December.The leak also said KCR might restrict his cabinet expansion to induction of just 6-8 ministers and there won’t be any deputy chief ministers.
The latest information is that KCR might retain all the major portfolios such as irrigation, power sector, municipal administration and information and public relations with him, while allocating not so powerful portfolios to others.The reason is to keep the MLAs and ministers under his control; and all the contractors and officials have to come to him and not to the ministers.
That was precisely why KCR did not invite his nephew and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao to the recent review meeting of irrigation, thereby sending clear indications that Harish Rao would not be given the irrigation portfolio again.It would be retained by KCR himself or given to Vemula Prashant Reddy, MLA from Balkonda, who is his close confidant. Prashant attended the recent irrigation review meeting.
There is also a talk that Harish Rao would not be given any cabinet berth at all and would be restricted to the post of MLA. At the most, he would be made party chief whip in the assembly, sources said.
