Is Anirudh Not Suitable For Telugu?
Anirudh Ravichander gained a huge name as one of the best composers in South India and he is conquering the hearts of Tamil people with each big album.He scored hits with Vijay, Ajith, Dhanush, Siva Karthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi. But in Telugu his entry hasn’t been smooth.
His first album Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyathavasi did have a hit song like Gaali Vaaluga but then the album couldn’t live up to the huge hype.Movie failed and the songs have been buried. He is back with Natural Star Nani’s Jersey. A single has been released from the album on Valentines Day.
The tune and instrumentation are good. But he himself singing the song doesn’t suit the song very much.Still, for Nani the song seems very rich and it has the quality to pull audiences to theatres. May be Anirudh’s voice still doesn’t suit Telugu songs as much as it does for Tamil.
Abhishek celebrates Big B’s 50 years in Bollywood
As Amitabh Bachchan completed his 50 years in the Hindi film industry on Friday, his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan celebrates the “talent and brilliance” of the megastar.
Abhishek took Instagram to pen down a heartfelt post for his father on his 50 glorious years in Bollywood. The “Yuva” actor also shared a photograph of himself wearing a sweatshirt with a print of Amitabh’s photograph on it.
“Icon! To me, he is so much more. My father, best friend, guide, best critic, greatest support, idol – hero! 50 years today he started his journey in films. Even today, his passion and love for his craft and work is the same as I’m sure it was on the first day.
“Dearest Pa, today we celebrate you, your talent, your passion, your brilliance and your immense influence,” he wrote alongside the image.
The 43-year-old actor said he cannot wait to see what the 76-year-old thespian has in store for the “next 50 years”.
“The coolest thing he taught me today… As I went, in the morning to wish him for completing 50 years of being an actor and to tell him that I was leaving for work – I asked him ‘where he was all ready to go to?’ He said – to work’,” he wrote.
In February 1969, Amitabh signed his debut film “Saat Hindustani” directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas.
After that, he went on to give some of the iconic films like “Deewaar”, “Mard”, “Sholay”, “Don”, “Coolie”, “Silsila”, “Agneepath” and “Piku”.
‘Shortage of skilled IT workforce looms over India’
Bengaluru: As the demand for disruptive technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics grows, shortage of a skilled IT workforce to run them is posing a challenge to the stake-holders, Nasscom, the industry’s apex body, has said.
“There is an urgent need to re-skill about 50 per cent of India’s IT workforce, as demand for it in new technologies remains unmet,” Nasscom’s IT-ITeS (IT enabled Services) Sector Skills Council chief executive Amit Aggarwal told IANS here.
The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) is the apex body representing the country’s IT and business process management (BPM) industry.
The demand-supply gap for skills affected the industry’s performance in 2018, due to shortage of 140,000 skilled techies for 500,000 jobs in the industry across verticals.
“Going forward, the industry will face a shortage of 230,000 skilled techies as jobs in AI and Big Data are estimated to be 780,000 by 2021,” Aggarwal pointed out.
In a report titled ‘The Future of Jobs 2018’, the World Economic Forum (WEF) said around 54 per cent of the global workforce had to be re-skilled or up-skilled to work in disruptive and digital technologies spawning the virtual world.
AI, big data analytics and cloud computing will dominate businesses across verticals till 2022, changing job profiles for geeks, while legacy jobs will vanish, the report said.
Admitting that the multi-billion-dollar IT industry had a vital role in creating jobs as well as in churning out the required skilled workforce, Aggarwal said India was well-positioned to bridge the demand-supply gap, as it had a wealth of talent in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
“Adoption of new technologies will change the profile of present jobs, which will evolve into higher domains with more automation that pose challenges to the $167 billion Indian IT services industry,” Aggarwal asserted.
One of the challenges is to identify the nature of jobs in future and re-skill the present workforce for the transition to digital work.
As the industry adopts to new technologies spanning AI, machine learning (ML), data analytics, automation, robotics, blockchain, cloud and the Internet of Things (IoT), companies with legacy systems and obsolete workforce face challenges to survive the disruption.
The apex body’s ‘Future Skills’ digital platform, unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2018, has identified 10 key technologies in which maximum job creation can occur in the IT and IT-enabled Services sectors.
The digital portal makes resources available for techies to hone their skills. According to the platform, technologies which will create new jobs include AI, cyber security, IoT, virtual reality, robotic process automation, big data analytics, blockchain, three-dimension (3-D) printing, cloud computing and social and mobile.
“About 70 job roles were identified across 10 technologies that will require the future workforce to have about 150 varied skills,” Aggarwal said.
Besides training the workforce in new skills, there is a need to include evolving technologies in the curriculum for the students, Aggarwal noted.
The industry body has tied up with state-run premier institutions like the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras to hone the skills of students entering the workforce in the IT sector.
“The industry is spending about Rs 10,000-crore for re-skilling and human resource development,” Aggarwal pointed out. “Making the system agile and flexible can help in preparing the IT workforce for the future,” Aggarwal reiterated.
KCR cancels b’day celebrations in wake of terror attack
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday decided to cancel his birthday celebrations in the wake of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief stated that as the entire nation is in a state of mourning, he desired to cancel all celebrations on account of his birthday falling on Sunday.
KCR, as Rao is popularly known, appealed to the party leaders and workers not to celebrate the event in any form.
In a statement, he condemned Thursday’s terrorist attack on CRPF Jawans in Pulwama district. He stated that he is extremely moved by the grave loss of lives in the ghastly incident.
The Chief Minister conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved martyrs’ family members and wished speedy recovery of the injured.
Melodious Single from Nani’s Film Trending
Anirudh Ravichander, the most happening music director in South India right now, has composed another soothing melody in his second straight Telugu film “Jersey”.
The first song from the film was released on Valentine’s Day. The song “Adhento Gaani Vunnapaatuga” is now trending.
The tune is lovely and the instrumentation is where Anirudh shows his stamp. The interludes are superb.

Ex TTDP MLA To Help YCP In Andhra?
Rumour mills in Telugu politics are rife with news that popular Backward Communities leader in Telangana Ex TDP MLA, R. Krishnaiah who has been a vocal proponent against the inclusion of Kapus in BCs and may campaign for YSR Congress party in the upcoming state elections in Andhra Pradesh.
According to party sources, YSR Congress MP Vijay Sai Reddy had approached Krishnaiah to campaign for the party in Andhra Pradesh. Krishnaiah got convinced and accepted the YSRCP MP’s offer. Though a politician from Telangana, YSRCP cadre believes that Krishnaiah could turn out to be a crucial person in protesting against the demand for Kapus to be included in BCs as suggested by the Telugu Desam Party. He believes that inclusion of Kapus under BCs will eat into BC quota and do injustice to the BC community.
Krishnaiah who had contested from Congress in the Telangana elections, has been making pro-KCR statements ever since TRS’ victory in the state. This apparently has become a rallying point for TRS’ friendly ally YSR Congress to approach the BC leader. Looks like the YSRCP is making every effort to ensure that TDP is shown in bad light, whatsoever. With Telangana leaders heading to Andhra Pradesh for poll campaign, the battle in AP will again result into a battle between two states, unfortunately!
Jagan Upset with ‘Anna Pilupu’?
To divert the neutral voters towards YSR Congress party, Jagan has initiated a program called ‘Anna Pilupu.’ As part of it, he is holding discussions with them, also assuring that his government will fulfil all the promises that it would make during the elections.
This strategy is proposed by political expert Prashant Kishor who was hired by YSRCP couple of years back. About 70,000 neutral voters from all the districts in Andhra Pradesh were identified by Prashant Kishor and team.
To each one of them, Jagan personally wrote letters and invited them to come up with their list of demands and development ideas of their constituencies. Accordingly Jagan met neutral voters from Tirupathi, Kadapa and Anantapur. However in the Anantapur neutral voters meeting YSRCP cadre deployed their own party workers instead of neutral voters.
Out of the 300 members, 170 were YSRCP workers and in the meeting, they constantly appealed to Jagan to change the candidate of Singanamala constituency. Jagan got to know that in this meeting, a majority of them are his party workers and is upset with his cadre for their poor planning. He reportedly told them that this is not the way he wanted to conduct ‘Anna Pilupu.’
Seems like YSRCP cadre is not convinced with the idea which can play a very key role in the elections.
