Supreme Court Shock To TDP MLA

In a set back to the Telugu Desam Party, Supreme Court has given a ruling against its MLA from Madakasira Assembly constituency in Anantapur district. The Supreme Court has given a ruling in favour of YCP’s Thippeswami, who had contested in 2014 elections against TDP’s Eeranna.
Going into details, Thippeswamy had knocked the doors of High Court of Judicature against MLA Eeranna alleging that Eeranna had misled the Election Commission by not mentioning about his two cases in the Election Affidavit. Thippeswamy said Eeranna has been facing two cases against him in Karnataka and he hadn’t mentioned it in the affidavit along with the nomination papers.
After probing it, the High Court has ordered that Eeranna’s victory is not valid. Since Thippaswamy is the next candidate in the constituency, Thippaswamy is continuing as the MLA.
However, challenging the High Court’s decision, TDP’s Eeranna had moved the Supreme Court. And it has come to the Supreme Court on Wednesday. The SC has struck down Eeranna’s petition. With this, Thippeswamy would continue as the MLA of Madakasira. This is a set back to TDP.

Mega Dad & son pose threat to Balakrishna

Gautamiputra Satakarni is the only Rs 50 crore film of Nandamuri Balakrishna. It had simultaneous release with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No 150.’ But Megastar’s comeback film collected Rs 100 crore share as it had many advantages.
One of it is Chiranjeevi and Megapowerstar Ram Charan dancing together. Fans have waited for this movie and they thoroughly enjoyed the Mega dad and son shaking their legs. Just for this episode, Mega fans have watched ‘Khaidi No 150’ multiple times and it eventually resulted in having the edge over NBK’s landmark film.
This feat might be repeated again. Ram Charan’s upcoming ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ is the final stages of shoot and director Boyapati Srinu is planning to rope in Megastar Chiranjeevi for a cameo, that too in a song.
Both ‘NTR’ biopic and ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ are releasing for Sankranthi season but it’s the former film is having good buzz being a prestigious one. Nonetheless, the makers of ‘VVR’ too making an effort to pose as a threat to NBK film.
His Three Mobile Phones Switched Off

This is the talk going on in Jubilee Hills as social media these days became very powerful and not leaving any celebrity for their previous comments. Comedian and producer Bandla Ganesh has done ultimate comedy after joining Congress party, but now they are firing back on him.
Though Ganesh has put up a tweet last night saying that he is welcoming the decision of people and respecting it, almost all the media folks are now waiting for his video byte. This is because earlier he made some strong statements and also vowed to slit himself with a blade if Congress and the Prajakutami fail to come to power.
According to grapevine doing rounds in film circles, Ganesh, who has three fancy mobile numbers, has switched off all these phones. He is said to be out of the scene from yesterday afternoon with social media also trolling him big time about his super-confidential ‘gonthu kosukunta’ statement.
Well, that is why they say, when you are in politics, don’t tell cinematic dialogues but tell the ones that have logic and rationale.
Video Talk: #HusnParcham, A Spicy Item From Katrina
Spicing up the dance floor with her item numbers is an act as easy as drinking a glass of water for hottie Katrina Kaif. And now, she has come up with another ravishing song that is likely to shake box office next week.
The Sheila, Chikni Chameli and the Kamli has now turned to Babitha Kumari for the upcoming film “Zero” that co-stars Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma as other leads. For this film, Katrina is flaunting her glamorous sex appeal in a song that goes by the name Husn Parcham.
Going by the song video that released today, we have to say that Katrina has tried to woo youths yet again with her curvaceous looks. And as she flaunts that hot body, needless to say, it is tough to believe that she is 35 years old. While she has a couple of love songs in the movie, it looks like this particular one is aimed at B-C centres by Shahrukh and Co.
Directed by Anand L Rai of Ranjhana and Tanu Weds Manu fame, the film has Shahrukh essaying the role of a dwarf. As the film is getting ready for December 21st release, the makers are releasing interesting snippets every day, including that of this song.
Telangana: Caste-wise breakup of winners

The TRS scored a resounding victory in the elections and Telangana is as much about social justice which apparently was denied to it when part of Andhra Pradesh.
So, here is a caste-wise breakup of the winners in the concluded Assembly elections:
Reddy: 39
Velama: 10
Munnuru Kapu: 9
SC (Mala): 9
Madiga: 5
Muslims: 8
Lambada: 7
Adivasi: 5
Yadav: 5
Kamma: 5
Goud: 4
Brahmin: 2
Vanjara, Mudhiraj, Gangaputra, Perika, Lodha, Netakani, Vaishya: 1 each
While the upper castes comprising the Brahmins, Vaishyas, Reddys, Velamas and Kammas account for 57 seats which is nearly 50% of the seats, the remaining seats are won by other communities, quite a fair representation compared to Andhra Pradesh.
Women representation dips further in T Assembly
Hyderabad: The representation of women in the 119-member Telangana Assembly has dropped to 5 per cent against the 7.5 per cent in the dissolved House.
Only six women have made it to the Assembly in the elections held on December 7. There were nine members in the previous Assembly.
Three women candidates each of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and Congress were elected this time. Three of them come from tribal communities.
Padma Devender Reddy, who was Deputy Speaker in the dissolved House, has been re-elected. Rekha Naik, a tribal and G. Sunitha Reddy also retained their seats.
The Congress party’s D. Anasuya defeated Minister Azmeera Chandulal from Mulug constituency (reserved for Scheduled Tribe). B. Haripriya was elected from Yellandu. Former Minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh Sabitha Indra Reddy was also elected.
Congress had fielded 11 women candidates and eight of them including former Ministers J. Geetha Reddy, D.K. Aruna, Sunitha Laxma Reddy and Konda Surekha were defeated.
The TRS, which came under criticism for not giving representation to women in the previous cabinet, had fielded only four women candidates.
Telugu Desam Party founder N.T. Rama Rao’s granddaughter N. Suhasini was also defeated.
TRS polls 46.9% votes in Telangana

Hyderabad: A huge swing of votes in its favour helped Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to score landslide victory in Telangana Assembly elections, according to poll officials.
The regional party on Tuesday polled about 46.9 per cent votes winning 88 seats in the 119-member Assembly. It garnered a little over 97 lakh votes.
The Congress-led four party People’s Front polled 32.8 per cent votes (67.95 lakh) but finished with just 21 seats.
Congress party’s vote share was 28.4 per cent (58.83 lakh) winning 19 seats while the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) secured 3.5 per cent votes (7.25 lakh) with two seats. The Congress had contested 94 seats and TDP 13.
Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and the Communist Party of India (CPI), which drew a blank, got only 0.5 per cent and 0.4 per cent votes respectively.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which contested all seats on its own and got only one seat, polled 7 per cent votes (14.50 lakh).
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), which won seven out of eight seats it contested in Hyderabad, polled 2.7 per cent votes (5.61 lakh).
Among other parties, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) polled 2.1 per cent, Bahujan Left Front 0.7 per cent, Forward Block 0.8 per cent, Communist Party of India-Marxist 0.4 per cent and Independents 3.3 per cent.
Forward Block bagged one seat while one Independent was also elected.
According to Election Commission, 1.1 per cent voters (2.24 lakh) exercised the NOTA (None Of The Above) option.
Out of 2.8 crore voters in the state, 73.2 per cent had cast their votes in the elections held on December 7. There was an increase of 4 per cent in the polling compared to 2014 elections.
The TRS had polled 33 per cent votes bagging 63 seats in 2014. Thus its vote share has increased substantially, reflecting in its victory in majority of the constituencies with huge margin.
This time the vote share of Congress also increased by 4 per cent but this was not sufficient to stop TRS juggernaut.
TDP had contested 2014 elections in alliance with TDP, winning 15 seats with a vote share of 14 per cent.
The BJP’s vote share remained unchanged at 7 per cent but its number of seats came down to one from 5 in the previous elections.
