TV9 Not Part Of Yellow Media Now?
It is an open secret that the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh headed by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has the strong backing of several media houses, prominent among them being Eenadu daily, ETV, Andhra Jyothy daily, ABN Andhra Jyothy, TV5 and NTV channels.
There are other English and Telugu newspapers that have largely adopted pro-Telugu Desam Party stand.
Naidu’s political rivals, particularly YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, have been describing these media houses as “yellow media.”
The YSRC leaders accuse them of propagating only the TDP and not giving any coverage to Jagan’s programmes.
Especially during his marathon padayatra that went on for over a year, these channels and newspapers have hardly dedicated any space and time for it.
Till the other day, TV9 was also considered part of the yellow media brigade till the other day.
On many occasions, Jagan openly gave a call to his party leaders and cadre to boycott these media channels, including TV9, for ignoring him and his party, while giving massive coverage to Naidu.
On Monday, Jagan, while addressing the neutral voters at Anantapur as part of Jagan Anna Pilupu programme, raised the topic of boycotting the yellow media again.
He cautioned the voters to be wary of media houses like Eenadu, Andhra Jyothy, TV5 and others, which are promoting the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu.
He asked them not to get carried away by the publicity blitzkrieg by these channels for Naidu.
Interestingly, Jagan conveniently ignored mentioning the name of TV9 while referring to these yellow media.
The reason was obvious: TV9 has now gone into the hands of new promoters who are closer to Telangana Rashtra Samithi leadership, which in turn, is getting closer to Jagan and his party of late.
Secondly, TV9 channel, on Monday, gave extensive live coverage to Jagan’s meeting at Ananapur, while ignoring Naidu’s Dharma Porata Deeksha in New Delhi that has caught the attention of all national channels.
So, the changed political equations in the Telugu states has made TV9 a favourite channel for YSRC!
Naidu To Show ‘Bhogapuram Cinema’ to AP People!
TDP president and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu seems to be leaving no opportunity to derive political mileage for TDP in upcoming AP Assembly polls.
As the election code of conduct is expected to come into force in AP anytime with the issuance of election notification, Naidu is rushing to announce fake schemes, do fake foundation laying ceremonies, fake inaugurations etc to create hype before polls as if he had achieved remarkable development in AP in his first term.
In the latest instance, Naidu is gearing up to show ‘Bhogapuram cinema’ to AP people on February 13.
This cinema pertains to foundation laying ceremony of Bhogapuram international airport.
While the land acquisition for the international airport in Bhogapuram is yet to be completed and tenders are yet to be finalised, Naidu is getting ready to waste public money in the name of foundation ceremony for the airport.
Naidu is going to create a record by laying foundation for the airport for which there is no land and no one knows who is going to construct it.
But TDP leaders and cadre are busy trying to project as if Bhogapuram is getting an airport like Shamshabad international airport in Hyderabad and if international flights will start operating from Bhogapuram from February 13 itself.

Rs 50 cr could not make Naidu’s ‘Delhi Deeksha’, a success?
The one-day deeksha in Delhi by TDP president and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday demanding Centre to grant special status for AP turned out to be an utter flop.Though Naidu flowed public money like water to make deeksha a success, it did not help with no response from general public.
The deeksha turned out to be a purely TDP programme with the presence of TDP ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs.While TDP government released Rs 10 crore public money for Naidu’s deeksha, another Rs 40 crore was spent on other expenses.
Flight tickets were given for free to and fro to leaders of various employees and students organisations.AC rooms in costly hotels in Delhi were booked for TDP ministers, MLAs, MPs and MLCs besides leaders of various employees and students organisations.
Rooms were booked for stay in Delhi for two days to enable them to take part in deeksha on first day and enjoy in hotels and site visits in Delhi on second day.The flight and hotel accommodation for such a large number of people itself is said to have costed Rs 20 crore.
For food, liquor parties and other refreshments, another Rs 10 crore is being spent.Another Rs 20 crore was spent for publicity in Delhi by erecting huge hoardings and for media advertisements,After spluring Rs 50 crore public money, the end result was nothing as there was no response from general public.
Naidu could have attracted national attention through media managements by spending crores towards advertisements but deeksha failed to achieve desired result with poor response from general public.
Tainted ex-IAS is Pawan’s political advisor!
In his eagerness to get some big names for his Jana Sena Party, power star Pawan Kalyan has been admitting people into this party without even verifying their credentials. On Monday, Pawan appointed retired IAS officer and former chief secretary of Tamil Nadu Papisetty Rama Mohan Rao into Jana Sena Party and immediately appointed him as his political advisor.
He said reputed persons like Rama Mohan Rao, who had vast administrative experience and connections with politics would be of great help to the Jana Sena in designing its plans and programmes.Rao, too, described Pawan as a man of vision, sincerity and integrity and such persons were needed to cleanse politics.
One does not know whether Pawan has any knowledge about Rao’s background or his credentials or has remained blind to them before appointing him as his political advisor. For the sake of record, the retired IAS officer had faced severe allegations of corruption during his stint in Tamil Nadu. There was an inquiry against him by the CBI and also Central Vigilance Commission.
Even Income Tax department conducted searches on the residential/office premises of Rao and that of his son Vivek Papisetty in December 2017, following his alleged links with sand mining baron Sekhar Reddy and his business associates. There were allegations against Rao that he had misused his powers to award a contract worth a whopping Rs 520 crore to a firm linked to his son.
The tender conditions were apparently forged to ensure the participation of Padmavathi Hospitality and Facility Management Services, in which Vivek was a partner. The cases are said to be still pending against Rao and his son.So, what message Pawan will be giving to the people by admitting such leaders and posting them in high positions?
Does he think the public memory is very short?
Anushka Refuses To Team Up With Chiru?
After leaving glamorous movies and picking up those with content, heroine Anushka Shetty has seen a brilliant success rate including that of Baahubali and Bhaagamathie. And now, she is one sought after actress down South no matter if she loses weight or not.
The latest buzz has that this top siren was approached for Chiranjeevi’s next movie under Koratala Siva and she rejected the offer. While the reasons for rejecting the film is not known, some sources indicated that Anushka doesn’t want to get typecast as a heroine who would sizzle opposite senior (aged) heroes and hence declined to do the film.
Early in her career, Anushka appeared in ‘I wanna spiderman’ song in the “Stalin” movie. And she has come a long way from that film to her Baahubali acts now, while hasn’t got paired with Chiranjeevi any time. She is currently doing films with the likes of Madhavan and other not-so-big stars in a couple of female-centric movies.
Coming to Chiru’s film, the likes of Nayantara and Tamanna are already in line for this film, it looks like Chiranjeevi and Koratala are looking for another actress to play a miniscule part. We have to see who will sign it.
