Ever since Mega brother Nagababu’s daughter Niharika Konidela had made her acting debut a few years ago, there have been occasional speculations about her marriage. At one point, there were rumours that Niharika will marry her cousin and hero Sai Dharam Tej. However, it was later revealed that Mega family had no such plans to get Sai and Niharika married. Later, Niharika was linked with another hero and even those rumours ended up biting the dust.

Now, Nagababu himself has opened up about Niharika’s marriage. In a latest interview with a noted YouTube channel, Nagababu said that he has begun finding the right alliance for his daughter. He also said that he will be happy if his prospective son-in-law hails from the Kapu community and that he will be more than happy to get his daughter married outside his caste as well.

Nagababu further revealed that when Niharika expressed her desire to act in movies, there was a huge discussion in his family about whether to let his daughter step into the film industry or not. “I gave my permission only because Niharika insisted a lot about her acting dreams. But I also told her that I will get her married after 3 years of her acting career. I had even suggested her to act in web series if not movies after marriage. Niharika agreed to my suggestion and then stepped into Tollywood. I did not pressurise her about marriage until 2018, but now, I will get her married soon,” said Nagababu.

Nagababu also said that his prospective son-in-law must be a good-hearted person from a decent family. He said that he does not have any caste feelings and that he equally respects his Kapu community and all other communities. “I am not particular about the caste of my would be son-in-law. “If I find the right man in our caste, it’ll be great. If not, I will search for the right person in other castes,” Nagababu said.

Hero Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has graced the launch ceremony of young hero Akash Puri’s new film titled ‘ROMANTIC.’

The event was held on Monday and Kalyan Ram clapped the sound board for the first scene while senior actress Rama Prabha was another chief guest.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya married Vishagan Vanangamudi here on Monday in a grand ceremony. The wedding took place in the presence of the who’s who of Tamil film fraternity and several bigwigs of Tamil Nadu.

From Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswami to actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, it rained VIP guests at the wedding.

The list of guests included actors Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Aditi Rao Hydari, Andrea Jeremiah and Manjima Mohan among others.

Filmmakers P. Vasu, K.S. Ravikumar, Selvaraghavan and Kasthuri Raja also attended the nuptial.

On Sunday, a sangeet ceremony was organised which was a close-knit family affair.

Also, videos from the functions have gone viral on social media in which Rajinikanth can be seen dancing to some of his popular songs.

Last week, the couple had a pre-wedding reception for family and close friends.

This is Soundarya’s second marriage. In 2010, she had married industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar and the couple even have a son named Ved.

In 2016, Soundarya applied for divorce with Ashwin and got separated subsequently.

Having started her career as a graphic designer, Soundarya has worked in films like “Baba”, “Majaa”, “Sandakozhi” and “Sivaji”.

She made her directorial debut with “Kochadaiiyaan”, in which her father starred, apart from founding Ocher Picture Productions.

Vishagan, on the other hand, made his acting debut last year with Tamil thriller “Vanjagar Ulagam”.

Already we have read about how the studio that has produced Arjun Reddy Tamil remake shelved the whole film to make a new version with a new director. And then we have also ready how director Bala has given whole footage to these producers such that they will modify and re-use it without the director’s name. What is the public opinion on this fiasco anyway?

Well, whether Bala chose to exit the project or the producers tried to give a color that they really dumped the whole film to shoot a new one, it is this director whose fame got dented. Films like Seshu, Suryaputrudu and recently Jyothika’s Nachiyaar have got immense fame for Bala and his creative penchant. And now that this director has carved Arjun Reddy Tamil remake, many felt it will be a great film.

And with a director such stature distancing from the movie citing whatever the reason it could be, definitely that makes people think about him in the first place. They wonder if he left it out due to compulsion or arrogance. All said and done, Bala’s career graph will now carry this Arjun Reddy stain for a long time.

Naga Babu’s healthy criticism of ABN and Andhrajyothy are definitely a welcome change. Certainly, criticism of media is welcoming. However, what is wrong with Naga Babu is his selective and convenient criticism. The question is why only ABN and Andhrajyothy when most of other media houses including Sakshi have taken clear sides towards their party.

No doubt, ABN and Andhrajyothy are favourable to TDP and Chandrababu and Sakshi towards YSRCP. This is a wide known fact. At the same time, 99TV is also very biased towards Pawan Kalyan and Janasena. In fact, on many occasions, Pawan and Naga Babu have openly referred 99TV as their channel (“Mana Channel”) – as it pushes the agenda of Janasena.

Can Naga Babu dare to criticize 99TV? Only if he can do that, he will be considered credible and genuine. Only if he can criticize 99TV, then he will be considered as a statesman. If not, he will be considered as a pure politician who takes on opponents and will be confined as an unofficial spokesperson of Janasena.

Actor Sai Dharam Tej has been shooting for his next film Chitralahari with director Kishore Tirumala and it has been learnt that the movie will explore a very emotional relationship that the hero shares with a special person.

Apparently, the film will see Sai Dharam Tej and his father Posani Krishna Murali share a special bond which is touted to be the highlight. In fact, this track will take equal importance with the romance track that will parallelly run through the flick and some emotional sequences have been coined around this bond.

Presently being shot in Mumbai, the film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nivetha Pethuraj as the female leads and is a family entertainer.To release on April 12, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad and is being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

While F2 is a Sankranthi release whose light is slowly going to lose its sheen, Yatra is fresh from the farm to attract more viewers. But trade buzz has that still the Venky and Varun Tej starrer is showing stars to all other films out there like the way it sidelined NTR biopic and Vinaya Vidheya Rama as well.

Sample this: Yesterday (Feb 9th) some big theatres in RTC X Roads of Hyderabad city witnessed a stunning phenomenon as F2 collected 53K from the First Show while the theatre playing Yatra made only Rs. 44K. That 10K excess shows how F2 is being liked by the masses.

Even if we take the second show collections from this area, Yatra has slightly surpassed F2 but haven’t showcased true domination. While trade expects that both the films will run, none is anticipating that F2 will reign the registers even after 30 days of its release.

Meanwhile, Yatra picked up in some areas due to good word of mouth about the emotional content inside, while A centres are witnessing a downward trend.
