Naga Babu Comments on Balayya : Will Kalyan Ram, NTR Respond?
A Mega-Nandamuri war is unfolding in Tollywood. Naga Babu’s sudden, unnerving attack on Nandamuri Balakrishna is raising tempers and Balayya’s fans are fuming over Naga Babu.
Naga Babu, who had earlier stated that he doesn’t know who Balakrishna is, has today said that he know only old comedian Valluri Balakrishna. These remarks are insulting Nandamuri Balakrishna and his fans are taking it very seriously, all eyes are on Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram.
Whether Tarak and Kalyan Ram would respond to Naga Babu’s comments and would try to give a strong rejoinder. This is the question on everyone’s lips from fans to industry bigwigs. Considering that Kalyan Ram likes his uncle Balayya and is a great fan of him, one has to wait and see whether Kalyan Ram would condemn such comments of Naga Babu or not.
At the same time, one has to see what mega heroes Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej would have to say about this.

It’s an entertaining throwback to my 90s’ films: Rajini
Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth has revealed that his upcoming Tamil action drama “Petta”, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is an entertaining throwback to the kind of films he did in the 1990s.
At the audio launch of “Petta”, Rajinikanth opened up about the project and described it as an “action-packed entertainer”.
“When Sembian and Kannan from Sun Pictures came home and requested me to act in their production, I immediately gave my nod. Karthik Subbaraj had pitched a story to me. It was on my mind and as I listened to stories from other filmmakers, I wasn’t quite satisfied,” he said.
“Then, I called Karthik again this year and asked him to narrate. This time, he stunned me with an excellent, well-developed version of the story he pitched earlier,” Rajinikanth said, recalling how “Petta” started.
“Petta” marks the first collaboration of Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj.
The 67-year-old star was all praise for Karthik and said he has directed him like a hardcore Rajinikanth fan.
“Karthik has a very different style of storytelling. He directed this film like a true Rajinikanth fan. ‘Petta’ is an entertaining throwback to the kind of films I did in 1990s. Karthik has extracted from me the kind of work I used to perform three to four decades ago,” he said.
Rajinikanth went on to describe “Petta” as a “beautiful film” best suited for a festival release.
The film marks the southern debut of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a pivotal role. He plays a character called Singaar Singh in “Petta”.
“Every time he appears on-screen, he has delivered something different. In ‘Petta’, he has turned in a versatile performance,” Rajinikanth said.
The film, gearing up for a Pongal 2019 release, also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Megha Akash, Malavika Mohanan and Sasikumar in key roles.
Heaping praise on Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the film’s antagonist, Rajinikanth said: “I wasn’t quite sure who would be perfect for the role of Jithu. Karthik suggested Vijay Sethupathi, and I’m glad he agreed to be part of the project. He’s no ordinary talent. I’ve seen his films and he is an extraordinary actor. After a long time, I felt like I worked with a good actor.”
Rajinikanth also thanked audiences for the grand success of “2.0”, which has emerged as a blockbuster with over Rs 500 crore in gross earnings.
“I need to thank audiences across the globe for the success of ‘2.0’. The entire credit for the victory goes to director Shankar, producer Subaskaran of Lyca Productions and the technicians,” he said.
In “Petta”, which has been produced by Sun Pictures, Rajinikanth is rumoured to be playing a professor with a violent past.

Top 5: Bellamkonda’s Struggles Continue
1) 2.0: Shankar-Rajinikanth’s sci-fi entertainer has had a fairly decent second weekend at the box office. Thanks to the lacklustre new releases, 2.0 didn’t face any problems in retaining its top spot at the box office.
The film has been doing pretty well in Nizam, but yet to go a long distance to be a safe venture in Andhra Pradesh.
It’s a hit in Hindi and has become the highest grossing Tamil film at US box office.
2) Kavacham: Bellamkonda Srinivas’s wait for success will continue as Kavacham fails to impress.
The film had some financial issues on its day 1, which impacted the opening day numbers. It fell further due to poor reviews and word of mouth.
Over dependence on mass masala elements has been the problem for Bellamkonda’s streak of failures.
3) Subrahmanyapuram: The film managed to get attention with interesting promos, but the film turned out to be a mere ‘clone’ of Karthikeya with below par production values and content. No wonder it has been struggling from day 2 at the box office.
4) Taxiwala: Taxiwala had a reasonable weekend as the new films didn’t click. The film is still minting money in A centers.
5) Next Enti: Despite an attractive star cast, Next Enti couldn’t even take off at the ticket windows. It started on a very dull note and continued to stay low all through the weekend.
It is an outright disaster at the box office.
Vijay Deverakonda Inks Deal with Karan Johar?
Karan Johar has been trying to produce a mega movie with Prabhas in Hindi to cash in on his popularity and image in North India. But Prabhas has not given his consent yet.
Prabhas is doing two films simultaneously in Telugu now and he has plans of continuing in Tollywood only.
Somehow, Prabhas is not keen on working in a straight Hindi film though he still maintains good relations with Karan Johar, the leading filmmaker of Bollywood who is known for shaping up careers of several Bollywood stars.
Rumors are rife that Karan Johar has now set eyes on Vijay Deverakonda as the young star has hit off a chord with youngsters in South India.
Karan wants to make a Hindi movie with Vijay Deverakonda and Janvi Kapoor together. Janvi recently said that Vijay D is her favourite star and she wishes to act with him.
Karan feels they make a good on-screen pair and it will also create huge buzz if they pair up. Karan is shrewd producer.
Vijay Deverakonda already has plans to debut in Bollywood. This would be the right platform if he inks deal with Karan Johar.
Sources say they have already in touch with each other for the possible collaboration.
2.0 all set to beat Baahubali 2 at the box office
Chennai: In its Hindi version, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is already a hit. The movie went past Rs 150 crore mark yesterday and has surpassed the lifetime run of Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan.
While in its Hindi version, the movie is making big money, at the Chennai box office it’s on a record-breaking spree.
On its day 11, 2.0 made a solid Rs 1.52 crore, taking its 11-day total to Rs 18.41 crore. Currently, 2.0 is the second highest grossing film at the Chennai box office right behind Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
And good news for Rajinikanth fans is that by the end of its day 12, 2.0 will beat Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’s lifetime collection at the Chennai box office.
Talking about the Chenna box office of 2.0, trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#2Point0 had an excellent 2nd Sunday in #Chennai City.. 11th Day – ₹ 1.52 Crs.. 11 Days Total – ₹ 18.41 Crs.. Will surpass #Baahubali2 today and become All-time No.1 Movie in the City..”
For those unaware, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion had made a little under Rs 19 crore at the Chennai box office in its lifetime run when releases in 2017.
Next Enti for Sundeep Kishan’s Career?
Sundeep Kishan has regularly been doing movies as lead actor both in Telugu and in Tamil languages but his career is not progressing further.
All his recent movies tanked at box-office. Not a single movie became a blockbuster after “Venkatadri Express” in the last five years.
“D for Dopidi”, “Joru”, “Tiger”, “Okka Ammayi Tappa”, “Nakshatram”, “C/o Surya”, “Manasuku Nachindi”….. the list of flops is long. His last week’s release “Next Enti” didn’t even receive decent openings and is becoming colossal flop.
Sundeep Kishan has zero market in Telugu. Although he has attained some niche market in Tamil thanks to concept-based movies, his craze and popularity hit rock bottom here.
What will he be doing? Sundeep Kishan recently ventured into restaurant business in Hyderabad which is doing well but sadly his acting career is not zooming off.
So, next enti?
Rajamouli Reveals About Rana, Prabhas’ Marriage
Director SS Rajamouli has spilled the beans on the wedding of the male leads of Baahubali’ Prabhas and Rana. The Tollywood trio made it to the Koffee With Karan’ show being hosted by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar.
As the show talks about a celebrity’s personal life, Karan had to eventually ask when Prabhas and Rana are going to enter wed lock. Here Rajamouli intervened and added that Rana will tie knot before Prabhas.
That’s a surprising statement from Jakkanna on a national television but it will be Rana who will have to face the Telugu media which will be curious to know about the girl and details. Although it is just a causal talk in the show, Rana will definitely try to avoid media for quite some time for obvious reasons.
But then let’s wait if there is seriously something from Rana’s side or will his father and noted producer Suresh Babu let us all know.
