It is known that Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya is in love with Pooja Prasad, daughter of hero Jagapathi Babu’s brother Ram Prasad. The young couple got engaged in the first week of September at a private ceremony in Hyderabad. And they are looking forward to a big fat wedding now.
Apparently, December 30 is the date fixed for the wedding and highly placed sources confirmed that the event will take place somewhere outside Telugu states. Rajamouli and family have okayed a destination wedding and found that Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur is the best place.
Our exclusive source revealed that Karthikeya and Pooja will get married at Hotel Fairmont, a 250-acre property built like a Mughal style palace. This luxury 7-star hotel was seen in some big ticket Bollywood movies too, and it looks an absolute stunner. Seems like Rajamouli booked a Baahubali like venue for his son!
3 Reasons Why NTR Didn’t Campaign
Nandamuri fans had waited with bated breath to catch the glimpse of Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram campaigning for their loving sister Nandamuri Suhasini. However, NTR and Kalyan Ram chose to stay away from poll campaign. Except a press release wishing their sister all the best, Tarak and Kalyan hardly came out to support their sister in her first-ever election battle.
And there is a wide debate among TDP leaders and party workers that why NTR hasn’t campaigned for TDP in Kukatpally. One of the reasons is that NTR is busy with the shoot of RRR being directed by Rajamouli and his look from the film should be guarded. However, Tarak’s bulky look from RRR has already come out and there’s no surprise. Then the moot question is why NTR hasn’t campaigned for his sister. Check out the three reasons why NTR didn’t campaign in Kukatpally.
Reason 1
Apparently, neither Chandrababu Naidu nor Balakrishna have asked NTR to campaign in Kukatpally. Although his sister Suhasini has sought Tarak and Kalyan Ram, none of the party’s top leaders from TDP have approached NTR to campaign in Kukatpally. When media asked Balayya about NTR’s campaign, he responded saying that it depends on his film schedule and commitments. But Balayya or Naidu haven’t openly invited NTR to campaign in Kukatpally.
Reason 2
Also, TDP is very confident of bagging Kukatpally seat particularly after the campaign of Chandrababu, Paritala Sunita, Ram Mohan Naidu, Balakrishna and Nandamuri Deepika (wife of late Nandamuri Janaki Ram), and Taraka Ratna. So, the party doesn’t want NTR to take away the credit of winning Kukatpally. TDP is of the opinion that if NTR wants to campaign they don’t have any objection, but they were keen that they don’t want to seek NTR to campaign. Aware of this, NTR chose to stay away from the campaign.
Reason 3
And the third and important reason is that NTR doesn’t want to spoil his relationship with KCR and KTR family. As there are doubts that KCR could return to power, NTR doesn’t want to mess with KCR as it could even effect his films that release in Telangana given that Nizam is the biggest market for NTR. Although the surveys of Lagadapati are in favour of Praja Kutami, one is not sure what happens on 11th Dec. And it also depends on the voting percentage as well. If the voter turnout is high, Praja Kutami is predicted to have higher chances whereas if the voter turnout is less, TRS is expected to have chances to comeback to power. Given such volatile political situation, NTR didn’t want to take any chances.
Bunny Demands, Maruthi Agrees!
Over the years, Stylish Star Allu Arjun has been working with several top filmmakers and at the same time made many efforts to encourage new talent. Though Allu Arjun shares a great bonding with director Maruthi and never shied away from lending his support to him, they never has got a chance to colloborate for a project. But, Bunny always shown interest to work in his direction. In the past, Allu Sirish was directed by Maruthi for ‘Kotha Janta’.
But, it now looks like time has come for Maruthi’s collaboration with Bunny. Film Nagar sources tell us that the director approached his friend with a script and offered his narration that to the actor. But, the DJ star who isn’t totally convinced with the script seems to have suggested few changes in second half. The actor, whose last movie Naa Peru Surya bombed at box-office, has reportedly put forward a few changes in the story to which Maruthi has readily agreed.
On other hand, Bunny signed an untitled project that is to be directed by Trivikram Srinivas. As soon as the script of Maruthi’s film gets finalized, Stylish Star will be working on both the movies simultaneously.
Rahul refuses to name CM candidate for Telangana
Congress party president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday refused to name the chief ministerial candidate for Telangana, before the election results which would be declared on December 11.Rahul told media before winding up the election campaign that the chief minister would be decided only after the election results.
“Our primary objective is to dethrone KCR in the ensuing elections at any cost. Once we win the elections, we shall think about the CM candidate,” he said.Answering a question, Rahul expressed confidence that the Maha Kootami would win the Telangana elections hands down.
“There is perfect coordination among all the alliance partners and in future, too, they would work together. KCR’s body language shows he is insecure and is on the losing side,” he said.Rahul alleged that Telangana chief minister had supported several anti-people decisions of Modi government including demonetisation and GST because it would give scope for massive corruption.“We shall strive to realise the dreams of thousands of youth who had fought to bring statehood to Telangana,” he said.
He also said that the party would provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth in the state besides arranging food processing units to farmers.Government colleges and schools in the state will be developed, giving importance to the education sector, said Rahul.
He also said that the party will provide better medical services to the people after coming to power.
Campaigning Ends. It’s Time For Decision!
The campaigning for the Telangana assembly elections came to an end at last on Wednesday evening, leaving the voters to think and decide who they should vote for on Friday. In fact, the election process in the state began three months ago, which is a huge time in any elections. It started with the dissolution of the Telangana state assembly on September 6 by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who also declared candidates for 105 assembly segments on the same day.
While KCR ended his campaign at Gajwel, his own constituency, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu concluded their pitch for the four parties Praja Kutami with a public meeting in Kodad of Nalgonda district.
The TRS had begun its campaign well ahead of the opposition parties, almost three months ago, while Maha Kootami could not take a shape till November 19, the last day for filing of nominations.Yet, the grand alliance has been able to give a very tough fight to the TRS and according to the latest surveys, both the sides stand equal chance to win the elections.
The electioneering witnessed some bigwigs from across the country taking part in the campaign.
Rahul and Naidu addressed a series of road shows, and the BJP responded with three public meetings by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP national chief Amit Shah, union ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and Sushma Swaraj and chief ministers of BJP ruled states also pitched in.
It remains to be seen how the people of Telangana deliver their verdict on December 11
Trade: Bellamkonda Finally Gets It Right!
Bellamkonda Srinivas has been working with top rated directors and high budgets till now.The films may not have worked out at the box office, but the strategy has surely paid off as Bellamkonda’s films are drawing very good offers from business circles.
He has a solid market of Rs. 30 crore now and for Kavacham they made sure to keep the budget under Rs. 30 crore mark. This has paid off for its makers as they are likely to make six to seven crore profit prior to release.
Satellite, digital and other rights were bagged for Rs. 15 crore and the theatricals fetched around Rs. 20 crore as per trade sources. The budget of Kavacham is around Rs. 28 crore.Going by the business figures of Kavacham, Bellamkondas have decided to keep the budget of Teja’s film under Rs. 30 crore.
With a senior director like Teja at the helm, the film is likely to fetch higher prices if Kavacham turns out to be a commercial success.
Pulse of Uppal: Who Will Be the Winner?
Uppal, home to several National organisations like NGRI and Survey of India and famous cricket stadium, is another key constituency in Greater Hyderabad to understand the mood of the people. The constituency has mixed population as most dwellers have roots in Andhra, North India, Tamilnadu and Kerala apart from native Telangaintes.B Subhas Reddy from TRS, NVSSS Prabhakar from BJP and Veerender Gowd from TDP are in the poll fray.
The poor and working class in the constituency are openly vouching for TRS. Vote for Telangana party is the catchphrase that is coming from them. Some wants to vote for TRS for their welfare schemes, while others say unfinished projects would be completed only KCR comes into power.
Some also complain that not much development has happened in the colonies but they prefer TRS as pension schemes and uninterrupted power supply have brought some light in their lives.
While above middle-class show inclination towards Maha Kutami candidate as they say TRS has not fulfilled some promises. An youngster also preferred Congress (here TDP is contesting as part of alliance) because TRS has not provided enough employment chances.
Overall, TRS will win the seat if large number of voters who benefited from welfare schemes exercise their vote. If upper and middle-class show their impact, it will go towards Maha Kutami way.
NTR and Kalyan Ram Skip Campaign Totally
As We reported in the past, NTR and Kalyan Ram have distanced themselves from the election campaign for their sister Nandamuri Suhasini who has fielded as TDP candidate from Kukatpally constituency.
Today is the last day for campaigning. And they didn’t step out to campaign for her.Till the other day, Telugu Desam party kept on saying that NTR and Kalyan Ram would join the campaign on the last day. But NTR made it clear that he has no such plans in the very beginning.TDP has used all methods to bring him in but he politely said no citing shooting schedule for Rajamouli’s “RRR”.
The biggest surprise is Kalyan Ram too staying away from the canvassing. They clearly understood that Chandrababu Naidu has fielded their sister from Kukatpally for the sole purpose of bringing out NTR Jr for the campaign for Telugu Desam party.
If he succumbs to the pressure now, he will also have to come for the campaign for Andhra Pradesh polls next. Hence, both brothers have not come out to ask votes for their sister.
This is Not Tarak’s New Look
A photo of Jr. NTR claiming to be his new look has gone viral on the internet and has been extensively covered by all sections of media.NTR being on the weightier side has puzzled everyone as he looked very fit and athletic in Aravindha Sametha.
He is surely sporting a bulkier look in Rajamouli’s massive multistarrer RRR, but this picture is not a new one.NTR’s personal trainer Lloyd Stevens took to Twitter to put an end to the speculations once and for all.
“Guys please note these pictures of @tarak9999 circulating around are over 1 year old, this is NOT his current look.” Stevens clarified. So fans need not worry about the so-called leaked photo. Tarak will be seen in a beefed up never-seen-before look in Rajamouli’s period drama.
He is reportedly playing the role of a bandit in RRR.
First Look: Nithya plays Jayalalithaa in her biopic
It has been two years since former chief minister J Jayalalithaa passed away and the mystery surrounding her death is still not solved. After her demise, several filmmakers came forward to direct a biopic based on her life.
We had earlier reported that director Priyadarshini will be directing a biopic on J Jayalalithaa’s life, which is titled The Iron Lady.On September 20, the title of the film was revealed by filmmaker AR Murugadoss of Sarkar fame.
On her second death anniversary, which is today (December 5), the makers have announced that Nithya Menen will be reprising J Jayalalithaa in the film.Further, it is speculated that Varalaxmi Sarathkumar might be seen as Sasikala (J Jayalalithaa’s companion).
It was also revealed that a grand inauguration ceremony will be held in the coming months. The pre-production work is currently underway and the film is expected to go on floors on February 24, which falls on J Jayalalithaa’s birthday.
Revanth Reddy Arrest: HC pulls up Telangana Police
Taking a strong objection to the way in which TPCC Working President Revanth Reddy was arrested, Hyderabad High Court stated that Telangana Police displayed “colonial hangover” in the whole episode.
Revanth Reddy was arrested at 3 am on Tuesday by the Telangana Police who jumped into the compound of his house and broke open their doors. Revanth was whisked away without even being produced an arrest warrant. When he and his supporters asked for a warrant, they were told that this was a preventive arrest, which means that such formalities do not come into picture.
Rajanikanth Reddy, who is representing Revanth Reddy, has informed the Court that Revanth was taken in custody on the pretext of Election Commission’s “credible intelligence” without a warrant. The Division Bench of Hyderabad High Court comprising Justice M. Satyanarayana Murthy and Justice Raghavendra Singh heard the Habeas Corpus writ petitioned by Congress leader V. Narender Reddy.
The Bench pointed out that there was nothing wrong in Revanth calling for a shutdown and asking people to not attend KCR’s election rally in Kodangal. Stating that the Telangana police exhibited a colonial hangover, the court pointed out that dissent in democracy “should and can” exist.
A hearing of this case will begin shortly and we are yet to see how the High Court will react to the manner in which the Telangana Police has handled this. Telangana DGP has also been asked to attend the court for an explanation. The judgement in either way will turn out be crucial for Revanth as well as TRS as it could alter the climate of voting, with just one day for Telangana elections.
