Chay Pins Hopes On Wife and Mama

Share

Naga Chaitanya has been going through lean phase in his career post Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam.

His last three films were box office failures while Yuddham Sharanam and Savyasachi ended up as huge disasters.

Chaitanya’s market value took a beating with a hat-trick of flops and he is looking to bounce back in the new year.

Chay’s upcoming film is Majili in which he teamed up with his beloved wife Samantha Akkineni.

It is a coming of age love story in which Sam and Chay will be seen as teenagers, youth and middle aged couple.

The film directed by Siva Nirvana has been grabbing eyeballs with Chay and Sam teaming up for the first time since marriage.

Samantha has been lucky charm for Chay as he bagged two super hits in her company. Chay is hoping that their successful combination will work again with Majili.

And then there is Venky Mama with Venkatesh that is going to be launched soon.

Chaitanya cannot ask for a better time for a movie with Venkatesh, who is red hot post the blockbuster success of F2.

F2: starring Nara Chandrababu Naidu

Share

The recently released film F2 is a major success at the box-office. F2 here stands for fun and frustration. There is another film F2 being played out in public life by Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu. Unfortunately for Naidu, F2 stands for frustration and more frustration.

How else can one explain his recent outburst against the Opposition MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju?

And already, the possibility of a major defeat in the upcoming election is leading him to make some really nonsensical statements to denounce the Opposition.

Speaking to the media, Chandrababu Naidu said, “Several foreign investors have told me during my overseas’ trips that they are waiting for the outcome of the 2019 elections to invest in Andhra Pradesh. They will do so only if TDP comes back to power and not if YSRCP forms the government.”

There is no count of the number of trips Chandrababu Naidu has made to foreign countries in the name of attracting investments.

The TDP already had an absolute majority in 2014. So, political stability was guaranteed. Why then are investors waiting for the result of the 2019 election?

If they trusted Chandrababu, they would have already invested in the State by now.

Stating that a certain MNC will invest only if the ruling party wins power again is sheer nonsense and clearly a fabricated version by Chandrababu Naidu. But then, that’s how frustrated he is!

It’s F2 time for the Chief Minister.

Will YATRA be Hat-Ttick HIT for 70mm Entertainments?

Share

Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy established 70mm Entertainments in 2015 and signed up their friend Sudheer Babu for their Maiden venture Bhale Manchi Roju. This Sriram Aditya directed movie was a big HIT.

Their second movie on 70mm, Anando Brahma, under the stewardship of director Mahi V Raghav was a runway HIT.

Can 70mm Entertainments currently riding high on the success of back to back movies repeat this magic again with YATRA?

Coincidently all three movies are released in USA by Nirvana cinemas who are known for their good movie choices. They are one of the most successful overseas distributors. Mahanati was released in overseas by Nirvana.

Will this combination work for 70mm and Nirvana? Will have to wait until February 7th to see the results of US Premier shows.

NRI Arrested on Charges of H-1B, Naturalisation Fraud

Share

Washington: An Indian-American was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly submitting 11 fake H-1B visa applications and fraudulently procuring his own citizenship, US Attorney Craig Carpenito said.

Neeraj Sharma, 43, living in the Piscataway township of New Jersey, is charged by complaint with one count of visa fraud and one count of naturalization fraud, the attorney said. He will be produced before US Magistrate Judge Michael Hammer in Newark federal court.

The visa and naturalisation fraud charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of USD 250,000.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court, Sharma recruited foreign workers with purported IT expertise who sought work in the US.

He is the owner and chief executive officer of Magnavision LLC, an information technology staffing and consulting company based in Somerset, New Jersey.

When submitting the potential staffers’ H-1B visa paperwork to US Citizenship and Immigrations Services, Sharma falsely represented that the foreign workers had full-time positions awaiting them at a national bank, a pre-requisite to securing their visas, federal prosecutors alleged.

The H-1B program applies to employers seeking to hire non-immigrant aliens as workers in specialty occupations or as fashion models of distinguished merit and ability.

In fact, Sharma had never secured work for the applicants and submitted phony letters to the USCIS on the bank’s letterhead with forged signatures of bank executives, the complaint said, adding that he committed these crimes as an Indian citizen and as legal permanent resident.

More Political Masala To NTR Mahanayakudu?

Share

After the poor show of NTR Kathanayakudu (NTR, the actor) at the box office, senior actor and Telugu Desam Party legislator Nandamuri Balakrishna appears to have decided to add more masala to the second part of the film NTR Mahanayakudu, being directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.

Initially, it was announced that the film would be released on February 7, but it has later been postponed to February 15.

Now, the latest talk is that the release could be further delayed, either to last week of February or the first week of March.

Sources in the TDP said Balakrishna was contemplating making certain changes in the script to elevate the TDP so as to gain the political mileage in the coming elections.

According to original script, the film would come to an end with the death of NTR’s wife Nandamuri Basava Tarakam, soon after the August crisis of 1984.

That would be a dull end to the political episode of NTR and it might not make much appeal to the audiences.

Secondly, there are reports that after the poor show of NTR Kathanayakudu, the audiences are keenly awaiting the release of two films: one, Lakshmi’s NTR directed by Ram Gopal Varma and the second, Yatra being made on the historic padayatra of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

If these two films are received well by the audience, there would not be many takers for NTR Mahanayakudu, if the story ends abruptly.

So, Balakrishna and Krish are learnt to have decided to make certain changes in the script of the film by adding some more political drama to the story to make it more interesting.

And if there is a sufficient gap between the other two films and NTR Mahanayakudu, the people would evince interest in the latter, sources said.

India gets consular access to 117 students in US

Share

The External Affairs Ministry Tuesday said they have obtained consular access to 117 out of the 129 Indian students detained by US’ Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents for enrolling in a ‘fake university’, reported ANI.

The ministry added that “consular access to the remaining students, estimated at about a dozen, are continuing, including through the 24/7 helpline set up by the embassy and outreach to the community”.

As many as 129 Indians are among the 130 foreign students arrested last week by US immigration authorities for enrolling at a fake university called Farmington University in Greater Detroit area, allegedly to remain in the US.The fake university was opened by Homeland Security Investigations to trap those involved in illegal student visa racket. It has now been closed.

Days after India issued a demarche to the American Embassy in New Delhi, the US State Department justified its action saying these students were aware they were committing a crime to fraudulently remain in the US.

“All participants in this scheme knew that the University of Farmington had no instructors or classes (neither on-line nor in-person) and were aware they were committing a crime in an attempt to fraudulently remain in the United States,” a State Department spokesperson had said in a statement.
They described it as an ‘unfortunate abberation in the proud history of India-US educational exchanges’.

The Indian Embassy, as an outreach to the detained students, has also appointed a nodal officer to handle and coordinate all issues related to helping Indian students affected by the busting of the “pay-and-stay” racket run by a group of Indians that has put some 600 students under trouble.

Superstar To Reduce Remuneration?

South Indian Superstar Rajnikanth had to face continuous underwhelming grossers right from the start of this decade. Kaala, Kabali ended up disasters but did make good numbers.2.0 did collect big but it did not make profits for distributors and Petta fell short in Tamil Nadu, due to Thala Ajith’s Viswasam, which became a big blockbuster.

Still, as the movie showed Vintage Rajni again, movie became a successful grosser but the distributor share in comparison to Viswasam is said to be less.Fans of both actors on social media and even the BO trackers, fighting about the collections. Rajni never had to see such a state after Baasha as Kamal took a different direction in filmmaking and Rajni increased his fame to newer heights.

As he wants to see that his next film will be a hit and profit gainer at the box office, he decided to reduce his remuneration and help, the producers, Lyca Productions to control the budget, it seems.Murgadoss will be directing Rajni and the movie is said to be a political drama, with a title, Narakkali!

Even Senior Actress Support SPB

SP Balasubramanyam, legendary singer of Indian Cinema, decided to vent out his anguish about certain things and he said that heroines are trying to attract producers by wearing revealing clothes. For this comment, Naga Babu reacted immediately and called him, indirectly, Orthodox Fool. He said that such people are as bad as terrorists.

Anasuya and Reshmi, the anchors of Jabardasth show, thanked Naga babu, for support and said that people shouldn’t see the dress but person behind those layers. Now, contrasting to them, Jayasudha commented, “In films, even I wore mini-skirts, skimpy clothes and Jayamalini did show a lot more but all that in films. Outside, we conducted ourselves better.

I wore sarees to events and Balu garu meant the same. He did not ask heroines to not wear what they like but asked them to keep the respect of the event. Few actresses trying to ape foreign culture so much that they say they are wearing designer clothes but don’t really cover themselves as they should!”

Well, the actresses are saying that elders should change with the time and trend!
