Anasuya’s Absence: Test Run Or Shooting Busy?
Couple of recent episodes of adult comedy show ‘Jabardasth’ have literally worried few fans, while some are into celebrations. Because the show host Anasuya was replaced by struggling anchor Varshini.

Ravela Quits TDP, To Join Jana Sena
As expected, former minister and Telugu Desam Party MLA from Prathipadu in Guntur district Ravela Kishore Babu on Friday resigned from the party and his assembly membership.
Ravela submitted his resignation letter to assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. He also sent another letter to the party informing them of his decision to resign from party’s membership.
He is all set to join Jana Sena party in the presence of its president Pawan Kalyan in Vijayawada On December 1.
Ravela has been staying away from party activities ever since he was removed from Chandrababu Naidu cabinet two years ago.
Though the TDP leadership tried to pacify the sulking TDP leader, he has already made up his mind to quit the party.
He held a couple of meetings with Pawan Kalyan who assured him of all respect in Jana Sena.
There were speculations in the past that Ravela had sent feelers to YSR Congress party as well, hoping that the party would allott Prathipadu seat to him.
But YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy wanted that Ravela should join without any preconditions. He also lobbied for Tatikonda and also Vemuru seats, but in vain.
Having no other option, Ravela decided to go for Jana Sena only after he had received the required assurances from Pawan Kalyan.
Mahesh Babu’s Multiplex Opens on 2nd Dec!
Strangely, Mahesh Babu is inaugurating his multiplex on 2nd December when there is no big movie release.
Mahesh Babu wanted to open this plush multiplex with Aamir Khan’s “Thugs of Hindostan” but its interior work was not ready then.
It would have made wise decision had they inaugurated with the release of Rajinikanth’s “2.0” but Ram Gopal Varma now spills the beans that it would be open to public on 2nd December.
In a tweet, Ram Gopal Varma said he had visited the multiplex in Gachibowli and bowled over by its beauty and its plush interiors. He said the multiplex is as handsome as Mahesh Babu is.
But Mahesh Babu has not made any official announcement yet. However, Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata the other day posted a picture saying that she had tasted the popcorn that was made at this multiplex and it is ready to be inaugurated.
Mahesh Babu has ventured into this business in association with Asian Cinemas.
Azhar Gets Elevation, Drops Plan To Join TRS!
Former Indian cricket captain and former MP Mohhamad Azharuddin, who had been sulking for quite some time for being ignored in the Congress party and almost joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, was on Friday appointed as the working president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi had approved the appointment of Azhar as the PCC working president.
The TPCC already has three working presidents: former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, former MLA A Revanth Reddy and senior leader Jetti Kusuma Kumar.
Along with Azhar, Rahul also appointed two vice-presidents, eight general secretaries and four secretaries.
Last week, Azhar created a speculation in the media that he was quitting the Congress party. He was conspicuous by his absence at the public meeting of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi held at Medchal on the outskirts of Hyderabad on November 23.
There were reports that he had met TRS MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao. His close friend Abid Rasool Khan also quit the Congress and joined the TRS and Azhar was to follow suit.
Following reports that Azhar was contemplating joining the TRS, senior Congress MP Ahmed Patel, along with former minister Mohammad Shabbir Ali, rushed to Azhar’s residence and pacified him.
They assured that Azhar would be given all prominence in the party and his interests would be taken care of.
Azhar expressed his desire in contesting the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Secunderabad. He had earlier represented Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh in 2009, but lost from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituency in Rajasthan in 2014.
But former MP P Anjan Kumar Yadav, who had represented this constituency twice in the past, resisted his plan and threatened to walk out of the Congress, if Azhar was preferred to him for Secunderabad seat.
The high command placated Yadav by appointing him as the president of Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee and giving the MLA ticket to his son Anil Kumar Yadav from Musheerabad in the present assembly elections. This angered Azhar, who decided to quit the Congress.
Finally, he stayed back with the assurance given by the high command.
2.0 Director Shankar Tweets Thank You Note
Rajinikanth’s 2.0 director S Shankar thanked the audience, media and his team for making the film a ‘huge success.’ 2.0, also starring Akshay Kumar, opened to favourable reviews on Thursday across 4,000 screens.
The Telugu version of 2.0 earned over Rs. 13 crore share on Day 1.
“My heart full thanks to the audience who have lapped up 2.0 and celebrated and made it a huge success, and to all the media who supported and respected the hard work of our team and to my whole team who have given a piece of their life to 2.0,” tweeted S Shankar on Friday.
KCR Got ‘cooked biryani’ Called Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Friday said that Hyderabad was like a “cooked biryani” which Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao got following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
The former union minister said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief had no contribution in the making of this “biryani”.
Talking to reporters at Sangareddy in Telangana during campaigning for next month’s Assembly election, the Congress leader termed the tech hub a ready to eat “biryani”, the famous dish of the historic city.
He recalled that at the time of bifurcation in 2014, there was a dispute over Hyderabad. The question was should it go to Telangana or should it be a joint capital of the two states or a union territory.
Jairam Ramesh, who played a key role in the bifurcation process, said United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi and then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh decided that Hyderabad will “100 percent” go to Telangana.
“Hyderabad with revenues of Rs 16,000 crore was like a cooked biryani,” he said and pointed out that same has now crossed Rs 25,000 crore.
“KCR got cooked biryani. He had no role in its making,” said the Congress leader while pointing out that former Chief Ministers like Brahmanand Reddy, N.T. Rama Rao, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Kiran Kumar Reddy contributed in developing Hyderabad.
He said when it was decided that Hyderabad will go to Telangana, people from Andhra wanted to know what they will get for this loss of Rs 16,000 crore. Manmohan Singh then promised that Andhra Pradesh will get special category status for five years.
Jairam Ramesh criticized KCR for demanding special category status to Telangana now. He said the TRS chief had made no such demand in 2014. He alleged that making such a demand now was nothing but betrayal.
2.O Sequel ‘3 Point O’ In The Making!
Hollywood is always popular for churning out franchisee movies, even if one of the films among them doesn’t do good at the box office. Spiderman, Pirates Of The Carribean are some of the examples, where only a few films of the franchisee are actually stupendous hits.
Taking a cue from that franchise, these days our makers are also making either two-part films or interesting sequels. While Rajamouli came up with two-part film for Baahubali franchisee, we have Shankar coming up with 2.0, as a sequel to his super hit film Robo. And then, there is a chance of third part too.
Generally in Hollywood films, the last 5 minutes of the film will be giving a peek into what is gonna come in the next sequel of the movie. Here in 2 Point O also we have Shankar indicating that there is Chinni 3.0, which happens to be a microbot, which has actually stolen the show during the climax part. Reports are now coming that Lyca Productions want to go ahead with the sequel too.
Though the box office collection of the film might end up around at 200-250+ crores share, the satellite rights and other digital rights of the film are going to fetch them huge. All included, there will be profits from 2.O, and hence the makers are said to be planning this sequel. Let’s see what happens.
Buzz: Sivagami To Enter #RRR
Director giant SS Rajamouli is leaving no stone unturned to make his next film, #RRR, as big as his previous hits. And for that, he is roping in a stellar star cast starting with Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Here is an interesting snippet.
Though heroines are not yet fixed for #RRR, we’re hearing that Rajamouli is actually roping in other cast for the film. And most importantly, he wants his mighty elements from Baahubali back into his project. Reports are coming that he got actress Ramya Krishna aboard for this upcoming project.
For her portrayal as Sivagami in Baahubali series, Ramya has garnered huge attention, popularity as well as respect. Though she deserves such powerful roles, somehow other filmmakers are able to offer her only some half-baked roles. And now, Rajamouli is said to have offered her the role of Ram Charan’s mother in #RRR.
If these reports are true, then truly we can imagine the kind of drama Rajamouli will cook on silver screen yet again.
Azhar named Telangana Congress working president
The Congress on Friday appointed former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin as the working president of the party’s Telangana unit.
The move is being perceived at placating the former parliamentarian who is said to have been unhappy the way the party was treating him.
He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2009 from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh but lost the 2014 polls from Rajasthan’s Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituency.
The Congress also announced B.M. Vinod Kumar and Jaffer Javed as the state unit’s Vice Presidents.
