He came like a dragon spitting the fire, but before anything happened big, he has simply doused his energies due to circumstances. We are talking about talented young chap Raj Tarun, who is going through a rough patch now.

With back to back flops like Rangularatnam, Rajugadu, and Lover, this young hero is into thinking mode and currently had no projects in his hand. And now like that golden beam of light during the darkest hour, there came a call from mega-producer Dil Raju who produced his last flop.

Apparently, there is this script developed basing on a Turkish movie for Mahesh’s nephew Ashok Galla in Dil Raju’s compound. That project got scrapped and they are developing another script for Galla. Latest we hear is that Dil Raju got few changes made to the scrapped project and is now taking that off with Raj Tarun.

If Raju garu makes sure that this film works for Rajugadu, then this will be a bigger help for Raj Tarun for sure.

Actor Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has launched a fresh attack on director Krishna Jagarlamudi for accusing Kangana of hijacking his movie, Manikarnika.

She says Kangana asked him to watch the final film in December after he recently said that he was shut out of the process.

Krish had finished directing the film earlier last year and had then moved on to working on his other film, the NTR biopic.

Kangana took over the director’s seat and claims that she re-shot as much as 70% of the film on her own.

Both Kangana and Krish were then credited as co-directors of the film. Krish disagreed with her getting the primary director’s credit and said she had only a minor part in making the film.

She tells him that the producer was disappointed by his version of the film and refused to give their logo to the film. He asked them to shoot the film all over again.

However, she said no one had the intention or time to shoot the film again for 45 days. But when the writers wrote new material (in which she claims she had no part to play), the producers shelled out an additional Rs 20 crore for the reshoots.

For the fact that director Krish has carved ‘Manikarnika’ but not Kangana Ranaut to the fullest, Tollywood is giving unconditional support to the director. But it looks like slowly voices are coming out in support of the Bollywood starlet too.

None other than Samantha Akkineni has now conveyed her support to Kangana, hailing that her performance in Manikarnika is something unforgettable. “It has been 2 days and I can’t get her performance out of my mind ..the only explanation I can give myself is that she must have been ‘possessed ‘ it couldn’t have been an act it just couldn’t . Please congratulate her and tell her she has our greatest support (sic)” tweeted Samantha, in response to Kangana’s sister Rangoli.

Well, there is no wrong in a fellow actress giving support to another actress, that too to another terrific actress like Kangana. However, Samantha’s silence on the direction part is what stuns many. If Kangana has delivered such a brilliant performance according to Samantha, then there will be the share of the director as well in extracting that. Isn’t it?

After wrapping the schedule of ‘Dear Comrade’ in Kakinada a month ago, young sensation Vijay Devarakonda has met his fans at a specially organized meet. And now after wrapping the shoot in Kothagudem village, he is meeting fans, elders, and others at various meets. What could anyone read from this?

Before reaching his prime, Megastar Chiranjeevi used to meet his fans, well-wishers and family audiences in the same way at the shooting spots. Seems like Vijay Devarakonda wants to carve out a similar image as he wants to penetrate deep into the masses. And these kinds of works will surely help them go deep into audiences for sure.

By end of the day, it was established by Krish’s interviews that it was Kangana who ‘changed’ the film and took the final call on the movie’s shape.

‘Manikarnika’ got mixed reviews, while some critics praised and gave above three ratings; while others said it is average. Overall, the direction was not entirely slammed by the critics.

In other words, Kangana is now taking credit for it by own admission of Krish that she changed the movie entirely. His image has gone down.

Moreover, had he made these statements after delivering a hit with ‘NTR Biopic’, he would have received more credence.

When his directed film was rejected by the audiences completely, how can he talk about Kangana’s direction as she brought good collections?

Krish is now being trolled by online community. Kangana’s sister Rangoli is attacking on Krish on Twitter and she is getting more coverage.

As there is a huge demand for his response from all quarters, it looks like Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad has to finally respond on the Manikarnika fiasco. The issue, Kangana claims that she has directed 70% of the film, while Krish denied it.

Reacting on the same, Kangana’s sister Rangoli is the one leading the campaign of proving that her star heroine sister has all the proofs on earth to showcase that she has carved 70% of the movie. And then, here comes the response of Prasad, who doesn’t want himself to be the epicenter of this controversy.

“I’m not there physically on the sets of Manikarnika to see who has directed what. But both Krish and Kangana have given inputs for the script, both have directed it and both are creative people. Some directors take the only script as their input and few elevate that to the next level with their vision. Both such people get succeeded. Now that the film has worked, let’s enjoy this success” said Vijayendra Prasad, sharing his thoughts.

That’s a quite diplomatic and a wisdom laced reply from the senior, and maybe Manikarnika team should take a cue from that.

The theatrical rights of Nani-starrer Jersey, a sports film based on cricket, is being given to regular distributors of the production house for meager prices. It is buzzed that as part of the compensation to the distributors who lost monies in their previous production ventures – Agnyaathavaasi and Aravinda Sametha.

While Agnyaathavaasi is a big disaster, Aravinda Sametha has done well but a few distributors lost money owing to its exorbitant prices. Aravinda Sametha was sold for record prices which led to some losses to a few distributors in some areas. Also, Shailaja Reddy Alludu too ended up incurring losses to its buyers. Owing to these, the production house is now giving off Jersey for reasonable prices.

In addition to the above, the buzz for Jersey isn’t great. Nani’s last film as solo hero Krishnarjuna Yuddham hasn’t done well. Even his multi-starrer with Nag, Devadas also failed to meet the expectations. And Nani doing a sports film has garnered little buzz. Considering these, the makers have decided to give it off Jersey for nominal prices. This is a blessing in disguise for the distributors.

Mr. Majnu is a decent film. It has its moments in place. Barring some cliched portions in the second half, director Venky Atluri was mostly successful in capturing the emotions well. Akhil has pulled it off well.

Even some reviews were good for the film. But all these haven’t worked in pulling crowds to cinemas. Given the positive talk and lack of good films in recent times (other than F2), many expected that the film would set Box Office on fire. But that isn’t the case with Mr. Majnu. Majnu failed to eat into the collections of F2.

Trade is of the opinion that the timing of Akhil is wrong. Even Akkineni fans opine that had Mr. Majnu released for Sankranthi, the result would have been different. They feel that at least, it wouldn’t be as bad as what it is now had it been released for Sankranthi festival. The failure of Vinaya Vidheya Rama, NTR: Kathanayakudu had come in handy for F2 big time in addition to its comedy content.

If Majnu had come for Sankranthi in substitute to F2, probably it would have done well. But one can’t guess what Mr. Majnu would have been, had it clashed with F2 at the Box Office for Sankranthi. So, it’s time for fans to accept Akhil’s hat-trick disasters and move on. Let’s wait and see, what is in store for Akhil’s fourth film

Director Anil Ravipudi has proved himself as a successful director with his films not giving headaches to producers and heroes. Though he banks on usual commercial content, the entertainment value is helping the distributors bet big on him. And that yielded results.

After the success of F2, many expected that Anil will be now directing a big star hero. But he has revealed himself that a female-centric project with a leading super starlet is on his mind. So what is this successful director going to carve out now?

According to the grapevine, recently Dil Raju is said to have brainwashed Anil regarding his next moves. At a time when many star heroes are waiting for him with open hands, Raju is said to have advised the young director not to do any experiments at the moment. He wants the young director to make yet another commercial film with a leading superstar.

We have to see if Anil is going to pay heed to the producer who stood by him all the time, or he will go ahead with his female-centric film.

Nikhil Siddharth is wracking his brains what to do with his current film ‘Mudra’. Last week, a film with the same name and with the same title design got released.

Although no one cared to watch the film, the film got some publicity due to Nikhil making hue and cry over it on social media.

Before Nikhil noticed the small movie featuring newcomers and brought publicity to it, no one heard about it. Despite the controversy, the small film went unnoticed.

Now Nikhil is worrying what to do with his movie? Should title be changed or go with the simple option like “Nikhil’s Mudra”?

In the past, whenever issue about the movie’s title arose, the makers went by adding actor’s name as prefix to it like ‘Mahesh Khaleja” or “Kalyan Ram Katthi”.

Nikhil will have to announce the new title and begin promotions afresh. His last film was a dud at the box-office.

The project of Allu Arjun and Trivikram is finally getting readied to launch. It will begin the regular shoot from March.

Touted to be another romantic drama with father-son sentiment thread, the film will be launched next month officially.

Trivikram has already narrated the characterization of protagonist to Allu Arjun and he will be losing weight for this role.

He put on weight slightly in the recent months as he is not shooting for any film. He will hit the gym to be back in shape and get perfect lean look.

The film will be produced by S Radhakrishna of Haarika Haasine Creations in association with Allu Aravind. Kiara Advani and Rashmika are being considered for the female. Either of them will be finalised shortly.

Trivikram is planning to wrap the movie in eight months. The release date will be announced on the date the movie’s regular shoot commences.
