Some heroines just come and go, but actually, they leave a nice footprint all over the film industry. While some do it with their performance, some with glamour. And here comes Mumbai based law student Malvika Sharma who has sizzled on Telugu screen through Raviteja’s Nela Ticket movie.

Currently, she hasn’t signed any Telugu movie but is actually heating up social media with her super spicy posts. Every evening actually she plays badminton to stay herself fit and fab, and she cuddles with her little kitten as well. Sharing some of the pictures with her cute cat, this hot girl just spun magic.

Other than these pictures, Malvika’s spicy treats from her Goa tour and the recent Kashmir sojourn are a super hit too. Though there are no films in her hand right now, actually this chubby girl is busy doing various TV commercials for some top brands of the nation.

YS Jagan Told This To Me : Mahi

Share

Director Mahi V Raghav’s name may not ring a bell. The director of Taapsee’s horror comedy Anando Brahma is in news as his much-awaited film Yatra (that chronicles late YSR’s Padayatra) is due for release on Feb 8th.

“I have met YS Jagan only twice. First time, I had went to show him the first look poster of the film. He said he had already seen the poster. Second time, I’ve met him to show the film’s teaser. Either times, he hadn’t given me any advice or any piece of suggestion. All he told me was that I’m making a film about my leader. So, it is in between my leader (YSR) and myself. He questioned me how he can come in between.”

Mahi elaborates on his brief interaction with Jagan. “I think Jagan knows the creative space of a filmmaker. He said he wouldn’t like to intervene in my story and my film. He is very gracious enough. In fact, the biggest thing is that neither him nor anyone from his side have raised any objections when he come to know that I’m making a film. Despite the fact that I’m not so popular director with only two-film-old, they haven’t created any obstacles (like denying permissions) or etc. If they want to interfere or if they want a film on YSR, probably they would have ensured that a bigger director is roped in and can get the film done with higher budgets,” adds Mahi.

Jagan’s Only Request

Mahi tells YS Jagan’s only request. “When I had met him, I had told him that my film is about his Padayatra and his public schemes. Jagan had asked me to give credit to leader YSR only for what he had done to people. He clearly told me not to give credit for things his father had not done. Jagan wants the film to be realistic and doesn’t want it to be glorified and doesn’t want it to be too praising about YSR. Probably, Jagan understood that biopics are glorified these days.

Yatra isn’t Biopic

Mahi clarifies that Yatra is not biopic as assumed by a section of people, media. He says, “Yatra is not a biopic. It is like any movie with good dose of drama and interesting elements that audiences would like to see on screen.”

Origin of Yatra

Talking about the genesis of Yatra, Mahi recalls, “There is no particular incident or event that inspired me to do a film on YSR. There are several instances where I interacted with common people for a general chit chat ( in cab journeys) and their experiences with YSR and his schemes, policies have helped a lot of people and their families in one way or the other. I came to know about late YSR a lot and those things have all added up and that’s when I felt YSR’s story to be picturised on screen.”

Directing Mammootty

Mahi refrains from saying “directing” Mammootty. He reasons, “It is not correct to say that a young filmmaker like me directed Mammootty. Mammootty is a big star and he knows what the role wants and he just did it simply. He is a great movie buff. He is passionate about films. I have never seen a person who loves cinema so much. He enters into caravan, he watches cinema or serials or any content irrespective of the language. He keeps talking about films. Despite having in industry for so long, he is not bored of films and he keeps watching films. Frankly, I didn’t direct him. He has done his part so well. Same is the case with editor Sreekar Prasad and lyric writer Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry. It is obscene to say that I directed Sreekar Prasad and Sirivennela garu. I hardly know how to write Telugu. So, how can I direct Sirivennela garu. They are very experienced than me and they all have helped me in shaping up Yatra.”

What’s next?

Mahi says he is keeping his fingers crossed for the release of Yatra and how audiences would receive it. He says the result of Yatra would decide the fate of his next film.

Mega Hero Threat To His Own Brother?

Share

One more mega hero has announced his acting debut. He is none other than Chiru and Pawan’s nephew and Sai Dharam Tej’s own younger brother. He is Vaisshnav Tej. And he has collaborated with first-time director and first-time heroine.

Now, the timing of launch of Vaisshnav is raising many eyeballs. Given that Sai Dharam Tej is delivering disasters after disasters (owing to poor choices such as Thikka, Jawaan, Winner, Nakshatram, Inttelligent, Tej I Love You) and he is not in form and yet to bounce back, the launch of Vaisshnav at this juncture is debatable.

Usually, younger brothers are launched after elder ones prove their mettle. Be it Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish or NTR and Kalyan Ram, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil or Vijay Deverakonda and Anand Deverakonda, Vishnu Manchu and Manoj Manchu, et al, if we closely observe there is some gap between brothers’ careers and also only one among them have proved themselves so far while others are yet to prove. Even Chirajneevi and Pawan Kalyan have huge gap and the latter is launched only after the former is a Mega Star. Chiru, Pawan are the brothers who succeeded. Other than the duo, no others haven’t become successful. Only either one of them turned out to be successful.

So, Vaisshnav is poised as a threat to Sai. Or do both can succeed? Only time will prove.

YS Jagan has no clue about ‘Yatra’

Share

Generally when biopics are made, any filmmaker needs to take the consent of the particular personality. Also to avoid unnecessary things post release, a filmmaker should also disclose what he is going to show on the big screen. To make everything simpler, it’s better to hand over the complete script to the person or family members related to him/her. Post getting an approval, the biopic hits the sets.

A director needs to be little extra cautious when it comes to making a film on political leader. Because, their family members will be keenly observing each and every aspect of the film’s script. However, the biopic made on late YS Rajasekhar Reddy had things the opposite way. None from the family read the script and more surprisingly YS Jagan did not show any interest at least for having a glance.

Director Mahi V Raghav met Jagan couple of times, when the politician was on ‘padayatra.’ After showing the first look and teaser, Mahi tried to take Jagan’s time and narrate the whole script. To him, Jagan reportedly said, “As a director you have already created your imagination to show the film in a peculiar way. I don’t want to change the vision of your’s by listening to the script. Do as you like it.”

Revealing the much anticipated suspense of Jagan’s role in ‘Yatra,’ director Mahi said, “I did not want to deviate the subject of YSR’s historic ‘padayatra’ and so Jagan’s role is sidelined.”

Kangana’s 70% Shoot Claim: Netizens Laughing

Share

All the while, star heroine Kangana Ranaut is busy claiming that she has shot almost 70% of “Manikarnika” movie, while Krish carved only the rest. And then, after asking the Telugu director to calm down, even her sister Rangoli has officially released a statement saying that Kangana shot the majority of the film.

But netizens are neither blind nor deaf to dig into what has happened in the past. Actually, there is an official statement coming from Manikarnika team in April 2017 that the shooting is started. Then in September 2018, they have given a statement saying that the film will be shot for 45 days more to facilitate some patchwork and reshoots. Then, Krish made his exit.

Going by the above revelations, if Krish directed only 30% film in 1 year 6 months, should we believe that Kangana shot 70% in just 3 months, that too a period drama full of visual effects? No way. It appears that Krish has shot a majority of the film, and Kangana might have reshot few portions to her liking and chopped others.

Well, there is a limit for everything and grabbing someone else’s creative efforts and hard work may not help Kangana Ranaut down the lane. But before all this, netizens are laughing at her claims as the facts are clear and shining everywhere.

Sycophancy Reaches Its Peak In TDP

Share

It is quite natural that certain people indulge in sycophancy to get into the good books of the powers-that-be so that they can seek some benefits from the ruling party.

But there is always a limit to such sycophancy. If the people cross their limits and go out of the way to pamper the leaders in power, it would only show their nature and culture in poor light.

There is no dearth of such sycophants in the ruling Telugu Desam Party. Several leaders go head over heels to please party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, ostensibly to seek favours from his government.

Not that Naidu does not know their tricks, but he naturally enjoys such pampering to satisfy his ego.

Take for example, the Telugu Desam Party leaders of Krishna district.

They have recently named a residential colony at Komaravolu village of Pamarru mandal in the district as Nara Devansh Colony, after Naidu’s three-year old grandson Nara Devansh, apparently realizing that the TDP chief will do anything for the sake of the kid.

Devansh, only son of Naidu’s only son and IT minister Nara Lokesh, has been a regular appearance in the party and government activities now and then, as Naidu makes it a point to bring him along with him, whether it is Polavaram gallery walk or Dharma Porata Deeksha.

Realising Naidu’s love for Devansh, the TDP leaders are going all out to appease the kid and his grandfather.

In almost all the party posters, one can notice the picture of Devansh. Even at the last year’s Maha Nadu, the TDP biennial conclave, posters and cut-outs of Devansh were star attraction.

Now, when the Naidu government constructed a weaker sections’ colony at Komaravolu village, the local TDP leaders named it as Nara Devansh Colony to display their sycophancy, though Devansh has nothing to do with the colony.

And for the sake of record, Komaravolu is the native of Naidu’s mother-in-law and NTR’s wife Nandamuri Basava Tarakam!

Another TDP MLA To Join YSRC?

Share

With elections to Andhra Pradesh assembly less than three months way, it is time for reverse migration of Telugu Desam Party legislators into the YSR Congress party, which fancies more chances of coming to power.Last week, it was TDP MLA from Rajampet Meda Mallikharjun Reddy, who defected to the YSR Congress party along with his brother and several followers.

Meda, who was the government whip in the state assembly, had apparently sensed that the TDP had little chances of retaining power for a second term and that all is not well with the party in Kadapa district.

According to the latest reports, another TDP MLA from Chirala Amanchi Krishna Mohan is going to join the YSRC.Most likely, he may meet YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in Hyderabad and formally join the YSRC on Wednesday.

In fact, there had been reports in the past that Amanchi, who was elected as an independent and later defected to the TDP, was planning to join Jana Sea Party as there was no concrete assurance from TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu about getting the party ticket in 2019. Senior TDP leader Palaparthy David is said to be in the race for the TDP ticket.

However, Amanchi reportedly contacted YSRC after he came to know that there was no place for him in Jana Sena also.He met the members of Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) promoted by political strategist Prashant Kishor and sent feelers to the party high command.

Finally, Jagan is learnt to have given the green signal to Amanchi’s entry as his surveys showed that the MLA had his own strength in the constituency and a lot of popularity. So, he is most likely to make an entry into YSRC in a day or two.Weakening the ruling Telugu Desam Party is one of the many strategies the YSRC is adopting to win the elections.

The party is said to be identifying potential leaders in the TDP and lure them into the YSRC at crucial juncture. These are the leaders who have bleak chances of getting the TDP ticket in the next elections.

Vijay Sai Reddy’s kin to join TDP!

Share

After Nandamuri family bigwigs joined the YSRCP, it looks like kin of YSR Congress leaders may cross-over to the yellow party. Grapevine has it that YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy’s brother-in-law Dwarakanath is seriously considering joining the Telugu Desam Party.

The reason for his plans to join the TDP are apparently his differenced with party leader G. Srikanth Reddy and his camp. A miffed Dwarakanath is said to have been in talks with the Telugu Desam Party leaders and is considering joining the party.

Looks like the elections season is full of surprises with friends becoming foes and foes turning friends.

TDP Gets Strong Candidate For Kurnool LS seat!

Share

The Congress is set to lose another political heavyweight in former Union Minister Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy after the Congress has decided not to ally with the TDP in Andhra Pradesh. A miffed Suryaprakash Reddy had rushed to Amaravati to meet TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and express his interest in joining the party.

Apparently, Suryaprakash Reddy will be given ticket for Kurnool Parliamentary seat from the TDP. If rumours are to be believed, the Congress party has been ignoring Suryaprakash Reddy’s advice for a while and it went against his suggestion of allying with the TDP wasn’t paid heed to. It is said that Kotla has also asked Chandrababu for three tickets to his followers.

Now, as the Kotla family leaves its home turf to join TDP, it is to be seen how K.E. Krishnamurthy and Kotla family, who have fought against each other, will adapt to survive in the same party. Apparently, Kotla has asked for Dhone Assembly seat which is believed to belong to K.E.’s camp. Kurnool TDP cadre believe that this could lead to a dispute between both of them again.

With Kurnool Lok Sabha seat going to Kotla family, it remains to be seen about what Butta Renuka gets from the party. According to party sources, Kotla’s entry into TDP could turn the tide in the Kurnool district in favour of TDP, with YSRCP being a strong contender.

Purandeshwari Reacts On Social Media Attack

Share

Ever since the news about Daggubati family joining YSR Congress Party came out, the social media has been heavily debating, trolling and discussing on it. While some netizens welcomed their decision, some others are finding fault in it. Reacting on this matter, the daughter of NTR and BJP leader Daggubati Purandeshwari has condemned the criticism against her family.

Purandeshwari went on to release a statement wherein she said “few people are politicizing this matter on social media for their self-benefits.” On other hand, the former union minister of state rubbished the rumors about on her and affirmed that she’ll stay with BJP though her son Hithesh Chenchuram and husband Venkateshwara Rao joined YSR Congress Party.

And here are few excerpts from her statement: “Do they know the fact that I lost two children? One before my daughter and one before my son. And do they know that my late father Sri NTR had forcefully sent me to United States for the special treatment? In this episode, I have got nothing to respond to those who target me personally. Do they know that Telugu Desham Party rejected Daggubati Venkateswara Rao when we decided to re-enter into politics? Do they know about TDP’s conspiracy to make sure that I won’t get BJP ticket in 2014 polls? I love my family regardless of the politics. And I have no track record of criticising someone personally. So, I request everyone to deal with personal matters sensitively and not attack my children and family personally.”

Dolly Wants Pawan Kalyan’s 20-Minutes Again

Share

Director Dolly aka Kishore Pardhasany is not much into making brilliant movies but actually, he has shot to huge fame when he made Gopala Gopala with Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh. And here goes an interesting snippet about his next.

After the flop show of Katamarayudu, actually Dolly is said to be working on a mass entertainer and he has now got the nod from Sai Dharam Tej’s brother Vaishnav Tej for the same. We are hearing that actually this director wants a 20-minutes from Pawan Kalyan yet again, like how he got the Powerstar to do Lord Krishna act in Gopala Gopala.

For this new film, Dolly wrote a special guest role that will be powerful and stunning, but Pawan Kalyan is not in a mood to wear the makeup so sooner. At least, until the elections get over, Powerstar will not be doing this. We hear that Dolly now want to approach Megastar Chiranjeevi to do the same role.

Before Vaishnav Tej gets his debut film under Sukumar’s production gets completed, it looks like Dolly will be taking this project to sets. But will he get Chiru’s nod? Wait and watch.

Cine Lovers Appreciate Chiru’s Move For Sirinvennela

Share

Megastar Chiranjeevi is surely a ‘megastar’ for a reason. And whenever an opportunity or a situation arises, he will surely prove that umpteen times.

Other day the favorite Matinee Idol of Telugu people went to ‘Padma Sri’ awardee Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s house all the way to convey his wishes. In case if Chiru has wanted, surely Sirivennela would have come to his home all the way. But the Megastar hasn’t done that, rather he has shown umpteen respect.

From Veta to Rudraveena, to Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, Seetharama Sastry has penned (and penning) lyrics for many of Megastar’s songs. And whenever he writes lyrics for Chiranjeevi, they seem to be pretty apt for him. “Sirivennela garu writing about me for my films is okay, but he wrote a whole song about me ‘evaraina choosuntara nadiche nakshatraanni’ in the film Anukokunda Oka Roju is a real gift he gave me” said Chiru, in this context.

And Sirivennela, who fondly calls Megastar as ‘Mitrama’, says that Chiranjeevi coming to the home and appreciating him is the bigger thing than any other award. And cine lovers are appreciating Chiru bigtime for this move.

Bhale Bhale.. Combo Is Back

Share

Hero Nani and director Maruthi had joined hands for the first time and delivered a blockbuster with Bhale Bhale Magadivoi back in 2014. This out and out romantic comedy entertainer cemented Nani’s position as the most bankable star and even paved the way for his Natural Star title.

And, the latest buzz in Tollywood circles is that the BBM combo is all set to materialise once again. Apparently, Maruthi and Nani have met each other recently and agreed in principle to work together. Furthermore, Maruthi has already begun penning the script and the story sittings are going on in full swing these days.

Of late, both Nani and Maruthi have not been delivering BBM kind of films which are commercially successful and critically acclaimed. In this scenario, it’s needless to say that their next project will be keenly anticipated by movie buffs and trade circles. We can expect an official announcement in a few weeks time.
