Charmee Gives Gyan On Sex, Intimacy And Truth

Share

Former heroine Charmee has gracefully retired and currently working as CEO and Executive Producer of director Puri Jagan’s firm Puri Connects. She also handles the production responsibilities of Jagan’s upcoming films like iSmart Shankar.

And a while ago, Charmee wanted to give clarity on what is intimacy all about “People think that intimacy is all about sex. But intimacy is about truth”, is what this former heroine endorses as she shared a snapshot of that text. And we wonder what makes her give that clarity.

“When you realize you can tell someone your truth, when you can show yourself to them when you stand in front of them and their response is, “you’re safe with me’- that is intimacy” is what she finally adds. Does that look like she is saying there is nothing as rumored between her and Puri Jagan?

Samantha Taking Home More Than Her Hero?

Share

Married starlets are currently reigning the whole of India if we have to talk about the likes of Kareena Kapoor, Sonam K Ahuja and our very own Samantha Akkineni. And then, Samantha is leaping ahead with her choice of films.

Queen bee Samantha is actually looking forward to some interesting films like a remake of Korean drama Miss Granny, her film with hubby Naga Chaitanya and then much hyped 96 movie remake with Sharwanand. We hear that her 96 remake will be her career best in terms of remuneration.

Some reports are coming that Samantha is actually taking a bit more than her hero Sharwanand. While the figures are not yet out, they say that her dates got costlier than what Sharwa’s dates went for. In this modern age, where even Hollywood heroines are fighting for pay-equality, it is stunning to see Samantha cashing more than her leading actor.

All said and done, it is lovely to see very talented actors like Sharwa and Samantha cast together and how they will outdo each other is the real treat on silver screen.

KCR Brokering Deal Between Jagan, Pawan!

Share

The Congress party has accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of trying to bring about a patch-up between YSR Congress party and Jana Sena Party for his selfish politics.

Congress party’s star campaigner and former MP Vijayashanti said the main objective of brokering the deal between YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan only to thwart the attempts of TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to form a grand alliance against the Bharatiya Janata Party.

“If the Congress-led alliance is formed, it will stall KCR’s attempts to form a federal front. Therefore, he is trying to see that YSRC and Jana Sena join hands to defeat the TDP so that the anti-BJP front plans do not succeed,” she said.

Vijayashanti, however, said Pawan Kalyan who has been clear on his stance might not fall into KCR trap, as the former was already aware of the tricks played by the TRS in the past.

“TRS is trying to pull Pawan Kalyan into controversy who is maintaining equal distance from all major political parties in Andhra Pradesh,” she said and recalled the statements of the TDP leaders that there was nothing wrong in Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu coming together like Mayavati and Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh.

Naidu wasting Rs 10,000 cr public money to counter KCR!

Share

Soon after TRS sweeping Assembly polls in Telangana on December 11, 2018, TRS president and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao warned TDP president and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu that he will give ‘return’ gift to Naidu for giving him a ‘gift’ in Telangana by forging Mahakutami with TDP and Congress to defeat TRS in Assembly polls.

For KCR, the ‘return gift’ to Naidu meant working for the defeat of TDP in AP Assembly polls.KCR’s warning seem to have created a lot of impact on Naidu, who is now going to any extent to counter KCR’s ‘return gift’.

As part of this Naidu started “pasupu kunkuma” scheme two days ago under which he announced to credit Rs 10,000 in the bank accounts of each of the 93 lakh DWCRA women members in AP. He also promised to give one smart phone free to each of these women members.

The total budget for this scheme has been estimated at a whooping Rs 10,000 crore.

While launching the scheme Naidu reminded DWCRA members of KCR’s return gift and requested them to give a ‘fitting gift’ to KCR , who is trying to defeat TDP, which has been giving Rs 1,000 cash and a smart phone to DWCRA members.

Naidu’s comments clearly proved that he was spending Rs 10,000 crore only to seek protection from KCR’s return gift.Naidu has been coming out with several sops every day since then with an aim to counter KCR’s return gift.Looks like, KCR’s return gift has been proving costly for AP government coffers.

‘Ninnu Nammam Babu’ campaign beats Naidu’s ‘cash sops’!

Share

YSRCP’s ‘Ninnu Nammam Babu’ (We don’t trust you, Babu) campaign to highlight the failures of TDP government in Andhra Pradesh led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the past five years turned out to be a stunning success across AP.

This was revealed by AP government’s Intelligence department, which submitted a report to CM Naidu.

The Intelligence officials were asked to survey whether the cash sops announced by Naidu created huge impact on voters or Jagan’s Ninnu Nammam Babu campaign had huge impact on voters.

Both the programmes were conducted in AP at the same time. However, the Intelligence reports found that Jagan’s campaign has outsmarted Naidu’s cash sops.

The Ninnu Nammam Babu hoardings, banners, stickers were seen all over AP for five days right from village level to city level. Vehicles bearing the stickers of Ninnu Nammam Babu were the cynosure of all eyes.

This campaign took up by YSRCP for five days covering all the 175 Assembly constituencies in AP early this month caught the attention of all sections.

As usual, Babu is now looking to launch an effective campaign to counter Jagan’s Ninnu Nammam Babu.

And as usual he is looking at Tollywood film directors and writers to come up with a ‘catchy slogan’ to outwit Jagan’s campaign.

Naidu is learnt to have instructed film directors and writers to come out with catchy and crisp slogans on Jagan’s corruption during YSR regime, Jagan’s jail life, Jagan’s illegal assets case etc.

Naidu is planning to launch a huge publicity campaign against Jagan in February after finalising the new catchy slogans.

Teja’s Brains Comment Aimed at Krish?

Director Teja was to direct NTR Biopic but he was made to walk out of the film due to his differences with Nandamuri Balakrishna. He shot the film for 10 days. Balakrishna roped in Krish in his place and made the movie in two parts.

As the first part became epic disaster, various theories are floating around about its massive failure. Some say it was silly idea to split NTR’s life in two parts, while others say the first part was nothing but an exercise to show NTR as God. The film didn’t have enough masala to entice the people.

When asked Teja for the reason of the movie’s failure, he first reacted saying he didn’t watch it yet. However, when asked whether the movie needed masala, he made sly comment against Krish.

“First of all directors need to have brains how to tell the story. Masala is not required,” he made this comment in general about movie making but it would definitely irritate Krish.

Weak Reception for Magnum Opuses Worries Sye Raa

Many costume dramas and VFX loaded mega budget films were launched after the gargantuan success of Baahubali movies. A few of them were released already, but none could repeat the magic of Baahubali yet.

Even Shankar and Rajanikanth couldn’t pull 2.0 to safety in spite of stunning VFX and impressive stunts.

Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan ended up as colossal flop. The film was an attempt to emulate the success of Baahubali, but it turned out to be a disaster.

Recently released Manikarnika has been receiving lukewarm response at the box office. People are expected to turn out in huge numbers for such epic dramas, but that is not happening. Manikarnika couldn’t even get a decent start in Southern states.

The response to the above movies have alerted team Sye Raa as it is also one of the most expensive Indian movies ever.

Team Sye Raa should not only make sure to offer grand visual experience but also take care of the pre release hype that is on par with the Baahubali movies.

Don’t Believe In Labels, Says Actress

Share

National award winning actress Sonam Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming film ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’, has said she doesn’t believe in labels, which are associated with the actors in the film industry.

Sonam Kapoor was interacting with the media at the promotional press conference of ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’ along with his co-actors Anil Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla, director Shelly Chopra Dhar and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra in Mumbai on Monday.

Sonam Kapoor is essaying an LGBTQ character in the forthcoming movie.

Same-sex relationships continue to be a taboo in India, despite the Supreme Court scrapping Section 377 that criminalised “unnatural intercourse”. And when it comes to lesbians, there is a further lack of acknowledgement or understanding.

However, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’ seems to be talking on a pertinent issue – marriages of middle class, queer and Indian women. The trailer of the film has received a positive response from the audience.

When asked whether she had second thoughts while playing a bold character in the film or not, Sonam said, “I don’t know about bold character but there is one thing that I don’t believe in and that’s ‘labels’. When I decide to do a film or a character, I get encouraged by the fact that nobody else would say yes to it except for me.”

When asked Sonam whether she thinks that she is pushing the envelope for Indian actresses by playing these kind of characters, she said, “I don’t think I am immodest enough to say something like that. I am humble enough to understand that I am certain kind of person and actor. I can’t do what other people do so, I can only do what I can do. I don’t think I am talented enough to do what other people do, So, I am very happy in my space. I am just trying my very best to do what I can do.”

Anil Kapoor is collaborating with his actress daughter Sonam Kapoor in ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’ for the first time.

When asked about his first reaction when he heard script of the film, which revolved around a bold subject, Kapoor said, “When I hear a script, I don’t go into the knowledge of everything. If I love the story and the character and if I am in that character then, the rest follows.”

“I am not a political person. I am very liberal person. I believe in aLive and Let Live’ policy and that’s my way of thinking and that’s the way I am. I believe in a democratic society otherwise, when I listen to a story that time, I am an actor. If I love the story and I love my role then, I just do it. After that, whatever happens, it’s entirely up to the audience,” he added.

Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by debutant Shelly Chopra Dhar, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ is slated to release on February 1, 2019.

Vijay Deverakonda Happy In His Zone

Share

Vijay Deverakonda has become a superstar without working with star directors and he seems to be happy in that zone now.He is not waiting for star directors to come his way and is picking scripts that offer novelty and the potential to keep his momentum intact.

Vijay’s upcoming film Dear Comrade is being directed by a debut director named Bharath Kamma.

He will be doing a movie with Kranthi Madhav of Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju fame. Vijay has recently okayed another script from a youngster.

“I am ready to work with top directors. There are a few proposals too. But all of them are caught up with their prior commitments. I will definitely work with top directors when everything falls in place. Currently, I am looking for good scripts and picking the ones that impress me,” Vijay said when asked if he is not ready to work with big directors yet.

Extra Scenes and Fresh Trailer For NTR – Mahanayakudu

Share

Makers of NTR biopic estimated that there would be huge craze for the second part as they believed first part will be a big hit. But everything turned upside down with NTR Kathanayakudu biting dust at the box office.

The original plan was to launch audio and trailer for both the versions at a time and maintain a gap of three weeks between the releases.

There is hardly any buzz around the upcoming second part of the biopic and the team is trying their best to build hype around it.

A few more emotional scenes have been added after the poor feedback for the first part.

A fresh trailer would be launched with best of the best scenes from the second part to create interest among filmgoers.

Trailer is expected to be launched in the first week of February and the film is likely to be released in Feb third week.

Can team NTR come up with fascinating promotions to overcome the disastrous performance of the first part?

Krish and co. have a Herculean task on hands.
