Superstar Mahesh is busy wrapping the schedules of Maharshi at jet speed. Without taking many breaks, he is allotting all the time in his world to this Vamsi Paidipally directorial. And here comes an interesting snippet about his next.

While the leading numeruno star is willing to kick start Sukumar’s film very soon, the talented creative director is said to have requested for more grant of time to wrap the script. In that case, Mahesh will get a short gap. So what to do in this time space? Here is an idea.

Recently when Mahesh’s wife Namrata is listening to few scripts, which she wanted to produce on G Mahesh Babu Entertainment banner, she heard a stunner. That story is more like Krishna Vamsi’s Anthahpuram movie with lots of twists and turns. And it has one particular role, that will be seen for 30+ minutes but whose impact will be long lasting.

We hear that Mahesh might do that role, while two fresh faces will be picked up as the lead pair for the film. Even the Superstar is said to have given approval for the same. Let’s see if the news turns true or ends up as mere rumour.

Rakul Cracks Code To Impress Bombay Guys

Share

For paparazzi photographers of Bombay, it will be a boring job to click pictures of all the girls out there. Only the top sexiest and the star heroine lot will get the honors.Yes in Bollywood, PR teams actually give information about a heroine going to a particular gym or a coffee shop, and when she is ready to leave, these lens men will wait outside to click her. Actresses too wave a ‘hi’ to the photographers outside.

Guess what, finally Rakul Preet has mastered this PR exercise quite well. From a long time, though her film Aiyaary flopped big time, she is staying in Mumbai hunting offers. And then, her PR team is said to have worked extensively to make sure that she is covered during gym exits and coffee shop meets. Other day, when lensmen caught her outside a gym, she is in her best look, flaunting all of those curves in an unzipped shirt. Guess what, this is then timed with the announcement of her next Hindi film, Marzaawan.

Seems like Rakul is playing right cards, but she needs to prove herself as an actress too, to impress Bollywood biggies.

Boyapati Wants 3 Hours, Will Chiru Give Permission?

Share

Director Boyapati Sreenu was supposed to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi even before Khaidi No 150 got kickstarted. That film, however, got delayed and now it is not in hindsight anymore. So why does this dashing director need 3 hours now?

Except for a couple of songs, shooting of #RC12 got wrapped and recently the film’s first look poster with the title ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’ got out. Right now, we have Boyapati under tremendous pressure as he has made final cut already. The length of his favorite cut is said to have stood at 3 hours and 10 minutes.

Recently for Rangasthalam, after watching the film, Chiru gave go ahead to Sukumar for 3 hours runtime. Will that happens in Boyapati’s case too? With this movie being a full commercial masala movie, sources inside the film team are expecting Chiru to cut down 30 minutes mercilessly from the film. They say that Boyapati has to make his heart strong.

So when is the final version being screened to Chiru?

Superstar’s Wrong Step Alerts Chiru & Prabhas

Baahubali, in a way, inspired many Indian filmmakers towards making high-quality films with vast budgets, but the makers of Thugs of Hindosthan seem to have absorbed only ingredients like high budget and top league star cast, but totally ignored the content.

Thugs of Hindosthan once again uttered the harsh truth that huge money spent and crazy casting alone cannot make a film earn gold at box office. This film is undoubtedly a lesson for the aspirants who are dreaming to make big films with extensive graphics work and other glittery attractions, that they also need an interesting story with a gripping narration.

If we list down the current big films in Tollywood, Sye Raa and Saaho seem to be on top, as per the money being spent. Both, Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa produced by Charan and Prabhas’s action thriller Saaho are being made with more than 200 Crore each, of which half sum is a risky investment based on the Telugu market.

The makers of these films are spending a lot, expecting these to fare well in other languages. But if they attract the disappointing feedback like Thugs of Hindosthan, the huge-bucks spent is pure squandering.

After looking at the fate of TOH, the makers of Sye Raa and Saaho are heard to have decided to take enough time to make an extraordinary product and see that the money was spent well. Aamir Khan was considered the perfectionist until Thugs of Hindosthan and now his wrong step has given big alerts to Prabhas and Chiru. Not just from the success, but lessons can be learned from failures too!

‘My Wife Was Paid More Than Me’

Often, we see actresses and also some actors expressing their dissent over the pay disparity in Bollywood and in the southern film industry. The major complaint is that male stars walk away with bigger paychecks than female stars.

But Bollywood hero Abhishek Bachchan has made a stunning revelation. The Junior Bachchan has said that his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was paid higher remuneration than him in 8 out of the 9 movies they have acted together.

Abhishek also revealed that Deepika Padukone was paid the highest remuneration than his father Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan in Piku. Abhishek further said that filmmaking is business and that only saleable actors get paid according to their market. “Newcomers can’t just enter Bollywood and demand that their remuneration should be equal to that of Shah Rukh Khan’s,” Abhishek said.

Nikhil ends cold war with Deverakonda!

Share

If we go back to the first week of October, young hero Nikhil Siddhartha had started an indirect cold war with his counter-part Vijay Deverakonda. Post ‘NOTA’ release and the film failing to impress the audience, Vijay took it on his official Twitter and added that ‘attitude’ all matters and he will certainly be back with a good film.

To this, Nikhil replied in an indirect way, saying that he is just like any other hero in Tollywood. But Vijay Deverakonda did not counter Nikhil’s Tweets. However, as the tweets went viral, Nikhil tried to clarify things by adding those are not meant for Vijay Deverakonda at all. Eventually he had to delete the tweets.

On Wednesday, Nikhil surprised everyone by tweeting in supporting of Vijay’s latest film ‘Taxiwaala’ which is hit by piracy. He added that he read Sujith Sarang’s emotional post and requested everyone not to encourage piracy. Vijay Deverakonda thanked Nikhil for doing his bit and seems like the cold war has ended on a peaceful note.

Insulted Musician Giving Best for Nani!

Share

While our top musicians like Devisri Prasad and SS Thaman have scored chartbusters in Tamil and Hindi films, one of the top Tamil music directors, Anirudh Ravichander is dreaming of hitting the top league in Telugu.

Anirudh Ravichander enjoys a huge stardom in Tamil and he composed music for all the big hero films there. But his debut in Telugu went disastrously as he skipped many chances to choose Agnyaathavaasi. His songs were not just the damaging factors in his debut, but the exaggeration and hype from Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram pushed the damage to irreparable condition then.

With most of Pawan’s films being musical album hits, Anirudh had to take a share in Agnyaathavasi’s failure and that is said to be the reason why Trivikram dropped out Anirudh for Thaman, even after announcing his name before the launch of Aravinda Sametha.

Considering this incident as a major setback and insult, Anirudh is heard to have determined to raise back to fame in Telugu films and is looking for a proper chance. Like a ‘bird in the hand’, Anirudh has got Nani’s Jersey to prove himself for now and is putting every effort to make the music of Jersey big. Can Nani be helpful to Anirudh while Pawan Kalyan could not?

There is no other Tamil music director like an Ilayaraja or Rahman so far, who were superstars on Telugu too. Can Anirudh become that legend?

Adopting Gamification Concept: What Companies Want

Share

Gamification is the concept of applying the elements and components typically associated with gameplay to the non-gaming sector. Its applications can be observed all around, from language-learning apps like Duolingo to workspaces.

Essentially, it uses these elements of gaming to enhance the experience of otherwise ‘dull’ or ‘monotonous’ tasks to make them more ‘fun’. This acts as an encouragement to continue undertaking these activities that can often lose the attention of users quickly.

Adopting the method of gamification has been beneficial to companies specializing in various sectors, and here we take a look at some of these benefits.

Instant feedback: Through gamification, feedback can be in the form of a scorecard displaying the individual’s strengths and limitations based on performance. This has the same effect as a ‘character review’ in games, where players can choose their characters based on the targets that need to be achieved, skills of that character, and the result of their previous game. While this is essentially a performance report, gamification plays the part of making it look less intimidating and more fun. It makes individuals want to take the initiative in understanding their position, improving their strengths, and addressing their limitations.

Increased retention and enhanced learning curve: Gamification incorporate ‘friendly’ competitions and tests, borrowed from the concept of levels and tournaments seen in regular games. These are known to naturally enhance a person’s retention capacity, while ensuring a quicker learning curve. While tests are associated with stressful situations, this is avoided by creating a reward system. This has the same effect on the individual as that of winning a trophy in, say, rummy card games or racing games that hold tournaments where players can test their skills against each other. It is especially evident in situations where an individual takes up a new task for the first time. For example, learning a new language through an app that incorporates elements of gamification.

Building engagement between users: Gamification can also encourage engagement between different individuals on similar platforms, leading to team building, as well as a more intensive and rewarding experience for the individual.

Productivity boost: Introducing gamification to the work sphere can encourage employees to finish tasks faster and with more focus. This, in turn, provides a better qualitative output. The element of ‘reward system’ that tasks are often linked to results in individuals performing tasks for a ‘token’ which can then be exchanged for ‘real’ goods and services. An example of this would be gift cards at workplaces, or loyalty points provided with each booking by airlines, which can later be exchanged for discounts.

While these are just a few of the benefits of gamification that are causing widely different companies to apply them in fields like app development, product interaction, activities, and task management at work, the process used to ‘gamify’ products differ between industries and usage.

Set defined Goals: Gamification, works on the bedrock of creating clearly defined goals and then getting users or individuals to work towards achieving them. For example, a fitness app may have ‘goals for the day’ or the amount of distance the user needs to complete in 24 hours to achieve a target. Thus, the first step towards gamification is understanding the tasks to create goals accordingly, and then defining them clearly. This ensures that they are simple enough to be understood and executed by the individual without losing their enthusiasm.

Set excellent rules: Now goals can be achieved in a variety of ways. Thus, it is essential to have a simplified set of rules that explain how to accomplish such goals. These are ideally short, easy to understand, and include crisp guidelines that individuals can go through quickly to get started on. It is similar to the opening display typically observed in games, like a set of rummy rules that players can go through anytime, anywhere before they start playing the game. Thus, it is necessary to have non-conflicting, clearly demarcated rules that are completely integrated with the product or activity.

Give feedback: Feedback is one of the greatest factors that drives an individual to excel and improve. An important component of gamification, providing feedback to an individual with respect to their performance gives them insight and motivation to do better. This not only promotes healthy competition, but also ensures that an individual has an understanding of areas that need attention in order to improve their performance.

Reward system: Rewarding individuals for their accomplishments, no matter how insignificant they may seem, helps them stay motivated. This works in the same manner that leaderboards and trophies do in order to keep players engrossed. A common instance observed, be it a working environment or a language learning app, is that the individual loses interest and motivation after a period of time. In such instances, having a reward system for successfully completed tasks leads to retaining an individual’s interest, and encourages them to look forward to the next level.

Excellent motivators: Gaming serves to motivate a ‘player’ to not only keep ‘gaming’ but also to try and enhance their abilities by constantly rewarding excellent gameplay. This means setting up different motivation enhancers in the form of leaderboards, rewards, and trophies for an activity set that is tiered.

Conclusion
Gamification has come a long way since the dawn of the digital age. With a little creativity, it can be applied to any kind of industry or product, and always serves to enhance the activity to which it is assigned. In the foreseeable future, it will not be unusual for gamification to be applied to every activity. Its true potential as a catalyst for efficiency and optimisation will eventually help uncover individuals’ skills to reach their full potential.

If Naidu is right, TDP will get 100% votes!

Share

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is an expert at making tall claims and setting fancy targets for the officials and also his party leaders. On Wednesday, Naidu set an ambitious target for the party leaders to take up the membership driver.

While interacting with party leaders through teleconference from his Vundavalli residence, he wanted that the party membership in Andhra Pradesh should reach one crore by December end.Going through his dashboard, the TDP president said at present 75,000 member were being enrolled every day and asked the party leaders to see that it crossed 1.5 lakh membership per day hereafter.

Well, there is nothing wrong in expecting that the TDP should get more members. But, the membership drive should be done in a systematic manner and the members should be genuine and the number should be practical figure.Assuming that each TDP member has four members in the family and he or she can mobilise all their votes, the TDP should get four crore votes in the next elections.

As per 2014 election figures, the total number of voters in the state was 3.67 crore, of which 2.89 crore voters exercised their franchise. Assuming that the number of voters had increased by 30 lakh, the total number of voters would be not more than four crore.

It does mean, the TDP would be getting 100 per cent of votes, assuming that there would be 100 per cent polling.Even if one were to assume that one crore TDP members would mobilise just two votes, it should be two crore votes for the TDP, which would be two-thirds of the total number of votes polled (assuming it is 78-80 per cent).

What about the other parties, then? Especially, the YSR Congress party also has a huge membership bank. Will it not get any votes? What about those who have got elected?Interestingly, YSR Congress party also called for a similar programme last year called “YSR Kutumbam” with a view to enrolling into the party at least one crore new members, who were in the past beneficiaries of various welfare schemes introduced by YSR.
