A biopic on southern film industry’s adult film star Shakeela will see her play a cameo.Director Indrajit Lankesh is helming the movie, which stars Richa Chadha in the role of Shakeela, who was popular in southern showbiz in the 1990s and continues to work even today.

Before commencing the film’s shooting, Richa had a rendezvous with Shakeela in Bengaluru to understand the nuances. Seeing the camaraderie between both the actors and also to honour Shakeela’s popularity, Lankesh roped in the real Shakeela for a cameo in the film.

Lankesh said in a statement: “I always wanted to make a film on Shakeela. I was immensely impressed with her on-screen and off screen personality.”I wanted to portray her story, the hardships and rough phase when she was not getting films and was trying for character roles. I wanted to show the true story behind the superstar Shakeela.”

He said Shakeela has been an integral part of the making of the movie as she gave the team detailed insights into her life.”Even Richa got to spend time with her, understand her style of talking, her body language and such nuances. In fact, when she came on set, she gave us very interesting insights like about our art direction and how her house was and is in real life,” Lankesh added.

He said it was nice to shoot Shakeela for the biopic, though this is not the first time he has worked with her.”I have shot with her in the past for another film of mine in 2003. That sparked an interest in me to make a film on her and in 2015 after conceiving the idea of making a film on her, I met her and realised my dream.

“I feel every woman and girl who wants to be an actress should see her story, to know what she went through to become an actress and how it was such a compelling rags to riches to rags story of her life.”

Rajamouli has made changes to his earlier plans and is now all set to commence the shoot of “RRR” immediately after Deepavali festival.All arrangements for the regular shoot of this mammoth movie have been done. Huge sets at Aluminum factory in Kondapur have been erected.

It is already known that NTR will be joining the shoot from the day one in the first schedule. He has been working on his body with the help of his physical trainer.What about Ram Charan who shares screen space with NTR Jr in this multi-starrer?

Reliable sources have informed GreatAndhra.com that Ram Charan has informed Rajamouli that he would be joining the regular shoot of this movie in the very first schedule of this movie if he asks him to do so.He will be adjusting dates of his current movie that is being directed by Boyapati. For Ram Charan, Rajamouli’s movie is more important than anything else.

Boyapati’s film is yet to wrap up the entire shoot but Charan is willing to shoot stop Boyapati’s shoot for some days to join ‘RRR’ for few days.

Rajamouli will be taking final call shortly.

Barring some patchwork, the shooting of Mahi V Raghav-directorial Yatra is complete and the makers are now getting the post-production works underway.The latest update about the project is that there is no role of YS Jagan in this YSR biopic.

Although Mahi V Raghav did write a few scenes initially for YS Jagan character as well, the problem came from finding a suitable actor to play the YSRCP chief.Mammooty did not want to play onscreen father to any celebrity as it is his policy.

Also, the makers later felt that including YS Jagan’s role even for a few minutes in this emotional drama might actually distract from the main theme of the film which is focused on the late YSR’s Padayatra. Therefore, they have done away with Jagan’s role altogether.

Yatra’s release date has been locked for December 21.

Mass Maharaja ‘Raviteja’ and director ‘Srinu Vaitla’ duo is back with yet another commercial entertainer Amar Akbar Antony. The film’s teaser that shows Raviteja in triple roles promises of the film is going to be a triple dhamaka for audience.

The teaser starts with a dialogue of, “Mugimpu Rasukunna Tharuvathe, Katha Modalupettali.” In fact, for any film, climax is very vital and it will have great impact. Three characters of Raviteja, Ileana and villain’s thread are shown and we also get to see lots of action between the good and the bad. One of the roles played by Raviteja is a magician and Ileana is his partner.

Raviteja looked cool in all the getups, whereas Ileana was more elegant and striking than earlier. The teaser ends with Raviteja’s dialogue, “Relax.”

Unlike Srinu Vaitla’s previous films, Amar Akbar Antony will be high on action. Music scored by SS Thaman complements the visuals, whereas production values of Mythri Movie Makers are top notch. The film was shot completely in exotic locations of USA and grandeur can be witnessed in each and every frame.

Amar Akbar Antony is all set for grand release worldwide on 16th of November.

It has become fad for directors, actors, producers to cry on media and critics whenever their films tumble and get bashed. And often they fire on media. And here is an young director whose debut film was outrightly turned down by critics and got poor reviews.

And he has crossed the line further and has pointed ‘middle finger’ to critics. The director in question is Indrasena whose film Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayulu starring Sree Vishnu, Nara Rohit, Sudheer Babu, Shriya Saran and others garnered thumbs down.

The director has taken to his Twitter page to express his disgust, angst. He wrote, “can’t kill a good movie with worse reviews. Fuck U symbol..shame on u. @VbvrTheFilm is a CULT movie. And it will get it’s due CULT status slowly by time.”

The ‘Middle Finger’ is an obscene hand gesture that is seen as indecent, offensive way of expression. The young director by doing this act on his social media page has certainly hit so low in criticizing media.
