Mahesh-Sukumar Film is Very Much On!
The talk that Mahesh Babu may not be teaming up with director Sukumar has no truth at all.The thought of reconsidering the project has never happened, says a source close to the production house that is producing the film.
Media has been speculating that Mahesh Babu didn’t like the story ideas of Sukumar and it was reported that he is looking to team up with other young directors instead of Sukumar.However, Sukumar has already begun preparing for two new scripts for Mahesh Babu. The superstar who is working for “Maharshi” in USA will be returning to India in the first half of November.
Once Mahesh returns to India, Sukumar will narrate his two story ideas and based on Mahesh’s inputs he will prepare the full script.As per the current plan, the film will go to the sets in the month of March. It will be completed by end of 2019.
Sukumar had earlier directed Mahesh Babu in “1 Nenokkade” that ended up being a huge flop.
The massive success of “Rangasthalam” has given Sukumar confidence that he can now tell any story in a commercial way with a big star.
Tarak is Ready, Charan is Not!
Numero uno director Rajamouli is all set to launch his mega-multistarrer #RRR with Tarak and Charan in November first week.
The launch was speculated to get delayed until January 2019, but Rajamouli has locked the script and also is fully ready with the pre-production work. So without any further delay he is taking the film to floors very soon.
Tarak is done with Aravindha Sametha promotions and is already working on the physical fitness for #RRR. But Charan is yet to complete Boyapati’s film, which will take a while to wrap up.
Rajamouli made it clear to both the actors to be ready by August 2018. In spite of getting delayed by two months, Charan couldn’t complete his work for Boyapati movie.
Charan may find it tough to adjust dates for Boyapati’s film if Rajamouli decides to shoot combination scenes of exclusive Charan scenes in November. He doesn’t have time for any makeover too.
This is another example for bad planning of Ram Charan who has a poor reputation of not completing his work on time.
USA: Aravindha Sametha Ends Total Run
NTR and Trivikram’s much-hyped ‘Aravindha Sametha’ has finally ended its run at USA box-office. Last weekend, the film grossed $23k in three days. And its total cumulative gross now stands at $2.17 million.Although the film has become all-time 10th highest grossing Telugu movie at American box-office, it is a losing proposition for its USA distributor. However, the losses were not that big.
Trivikram’s films generally get dream run at USA box-office but this film had lacked entertainment and catchy songs.Hence, “Aravindha Sametha” has failed to grow after the initial terrific opening weekend. Its collapse at the box-office in USA shocked many.
Trivikram’s last three movies grossed more than 2 million dollars each but only one film “A Aa” gave huge profits to the distributors.So, now the distributors should keep this in mind before buying his movies at exorbitant prices.

Vijay Deverakonda Put To The Test Again
There’s no denying the craze of Vijay Deverakonda in spite of NOTA’s failure. The opening of the Tamil dubbed film itself speaks volumes about his crowd pulling capabilities and his stamina as a star.However, NOTA has hurt the momentum of Deverakonda who was on the rise until Geetha Govindam.
His stamina will be put to the test again with the long delayed Taxiwala. This low budget film was okayed by Vijay before Arjun Reddy made him a star.Taxiwala was deliberately delayed for Geetha Govindam and there was buzz about going for digital release. However, producers didn’t budge to Deverakonda’s demands and releasing Taxiwala on November 15.
It is usually a very bad season for new releases with literally no holidays and dull turnouts at the theaters. Post Diwali to Mid December is considered bad season for Telugu films.It may not be tough for Vijay Deverakonda to bring profits for Taxiwala considering its low cost of production. But it will raise questions over his market value if it fails to collect on par with other mid-range movies.
Attack On Jagan An Attempt To Murder Him, Says Report
AMARAVATI: The recent assault on YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport by a restaurant employee was an attempt to murder him, according to the remand report submitted by police in a court.J Srinivasa Rao was a “staunch supporter” of Mr Reddy, police told a metropolitan court following a preliminary probe, while seeking remand of the accused.
The YSRC had claimed that the cafeteria where the assailant was employed was owned by ruling Telugu Desam Party leader Harshavardhan, who was aspiring to contest the next assembly election from the district.The attack on Mr Reddy, who escaped with a “deep” cut on his left shoulder led to a political slugfest between the ruling TDP and the opposition YSR Congress.
The assailant, J Srinivasa Rao, attacked Mr Jagan ‘to do away with him’ and caused a bleeding injury in furtherance of his attempt, the airport police said.The report, a copy of which was made available to the media today, was submitted in a Visakhapatnam metropolitan magistrate court on October 26 and it said Rao was “mentally prepared” for the attack.
Had the knife slashed Mr Jagan’s neck it might have turned fatal and since he turned towards his right side, the hit landed on his left shoulder,causing a bleeding injury, it said.Srinivasa Rao made the attempt when a party leader was clicking a selfie with the YSR chief.
The assailant took out a small knife and attacked the leader, the report said.Thefore the accused had committed the offence of attempt to murder (IPC section 307), it said.The report also mentioned the seizing of a letter from Rao, which indicated that he was worried about the grievances of poor people.Rao strongly believed that if YSRC comes to power, appropriate steps would be taken to sort out the grievances of the poor people, the report by the Investigating Officer said.
The report also makes a mention about the assailant wanting to make a “representation” to Mr Jagan on the grievances of the poor. However, it did not elaborate on why he did not make any representation and instead attacked the leader.
After the attack, Rao was overpowered by CISF personnel and handed over to the state police.Mr Reddy, who is the leader of opposition, later checked into a private hospital in Hyderabad where doctors treated him for his injury.While Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who also heads the TDP, had targeted the Centre over the incident, Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu had condemned the “cowardly attack” on Mr Reddy and sought a thorough probe by all agencies.
