First Kannada Movie In 100 cr Club
Yash starrer ‘KGF ‘ has become the first Kannada film to cross Rs 100 crore and is still growing strong despite being in third week.
Interestingly, the film scored a super duper hit in Kannada, Hindi and Telugu languages. In Karnataka, ‘KGF ‘ has surpassed the collections of ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and grossed Rs 175 crore overall from worldwide.
In Bengaluru, the film is getting screened in about 350 shows everyday and is likely to have an extraordinary run for the next few weeks as well.
On that note, the makers of ‘KGF ‘ are working on the pre-production works of the second part. In all likely the ‘KGF 2 ‘ will resume shooting from April and as sentiment, December 21st is being considered as the release date.
KCR uses ‘MLA grant’ to sweep panchayat polls!
TRS president and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has once again proved that no one can match him or beat him in devising ‘election strategies’ to sweep elections with absolute majority.Be it bypolls, GHMC elections or Assembly polls, he pushed all Opposition parties into a corner with his swift planning and strategic moves.
While KCR could win recent Assembly polls with a thumping majority with ‘direct cash transfers’ through Rythu Bandhu and slew of populist schemes in the election year by spending thousands of crores of rupees, he has now set his eyes on winning gram panchayat elections to be held this month in three phases.For this, KCR has decided to use “MLA funds” to make TRS candidates elected as sarpanches ‘unanimously’.Normally, state government gives Rs 10 lakh incentive to each gram panchayat where ‘unanimous election’ is held.
But KCR has devised a new strategy where MLAs are offering incentive of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh to make election unanimous from their MLA grants in addition to state government’s Rs 10 lakh incentive. In Telangana, each MLA will get Rs 3 crore grants per year to develop their constituencies.
KTR offered Rs 15 lakh incentive to panchayats in his home constituency Siricilla, while MLA Balka Suman offered Rs 50 lakh incentive from their MLA grants.TRS won 88 MLA seats recently. Two independents joined later taking total strength to 90. With 90 MLAs out of 119 seats in TS Assembly, TRS has more chances to win gram panchayat polls , while Opposition Congress and TDP has just 21 MLAs.
96 girl to romance Raj Kandukuri’s son
Producer Raj Kandukuri who produced films like ‘Pelli Choopulu’ and ‘Mental Madhilo’ is launching his son Shiva.Touted to be a rom-com, this film will be directed by Sesha Sindhu Rao, who assisted directors Krish and Sukumar in the past.
Varsha Bollamma of ‘96’ fame is going to play the female lead role in the movie while the sensational music composer Gopi Sundar will be rendering the tunes.Cinematography is by Veda Raman and Padmavathi Visweswar who penned dialogues for ‘Mahanati’ movie, will be providing dialogues and screenplay for this yet to be titled movie.
Noted producers Suresh Babu and Madhura Sridhar will present Shiva Kandukuri’s debut flick.
Director Invests In Heroine’s Foreign Hotel?
He happens to be the director of an upcoming biggy and she happens to be the one who acted in his previous film. The director is literally mad about this girl that he wanted to cast her in some role or the other in all of his films, though some heroes said no to that.
Cut to now, this heroine has recently started a continental hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. NTR Biopic Will Not Have Life Of NTR
As Nandamuri Balakrishna jumped into the scene to promote #NTRKathanayakudu, truly the film that is set for January 9th release got a new high. The way he is revealing things related to the film is truly giving goosebumps to everyone. And he answered some puzzling questions too.
With many asking the question if NTR Biopic will showcase almost all the characters who are related to NTR’s life in some way or the other, Balayya cited an interesting example and gave a superb answer. “To showcase the life of NTR you will need 6-7 parts of films, is it practical? is it possible?”, he asked.
Then he went on saying this: “Now let’s remember what Richard Attenborough said during the release of “Gandhi” movie. As many created hurdles saying that some characters are not shown properly, he said his film is not about the life of Gandhi but it is about the essence of Gandhi’s life. Similarly, we are not showing the life of NTR here, we are showing the essence of his life”.
That will perfectly summarise what the most awaited #NTRBiopic is all about. Let’s wait for two more days to feel the essence of it.
Fidaa’s Vachinde Beats Kolaveri Di’s Record
Released in November 2011, written and sung by Tamil star Dhanush and composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the ‘soup song’ Kolaveri Di went on to create sensation across the world. Over these 7 years, Kolaveri Di amassed a record 172 million views and 1.4 million likes on YouTube.
But now, Kolaveri Di’s record has been broken by our very own Tollywood number ‘Vachinde’ from Fidaa. Released in September 2018, Vachinde has clocked over 173 million views and 418K likes on YouTube, beating Kolaveri Di’s record by over a million views to become the highest viewed South Indian movie song on YouTube.
Vachinde song was penned by Suddala Ashok Teja and composed by Shakthikanth Karthick. Singer Madhu Priya breathed life into the song with her energetic rendition, while Sai Pallavi set the screens on fire with her terrific dance. There is no exaggeration in saying that the Vachinde song had played a key role in Fidaa’s success at the box office. Dil Raju was the producer and Shekar Kammula was the director of this Varun Tej-starrer.
I’m Waiting For NTR With Respect -Ram Charan
After wrapping his New Year holiday, before which he went to Jaipur to attend Rajamouli’s son wedding, Ram Charan has taken dive into the promotions of Vinaya Vidheya Rama. And then, he answers every single question posed to him including about the Sankranthi competition with Balayya and his own brother Varun Tej.
“Sankranthi season will easily accommodate two films and sometimes after a week gap, even a third film could be placed at the box office. So I’m not worried about the competition and only confident that all the films will turn super hit” said Ram Charan, talking about #NTR Kathanayakudu and F2: Fun and Frustration.
Talking about #NTR Biopic, he added, “That’s a respectful film and they have made with the utmost respect. Director Krish has carved it in such a way that everyone is eagerly waiting to see it. I’m looking forward to it actually”. And then he says his brother and Venky will also do absolutely well.
“Venky garu’s comedy is unmatchable and he will score brownie points with families. I’ve to see how my brother Varun does alongside him. But the film F2 will become super hit” Charan articulated.
Wishing that all the three films should score super hits, he signed off.
Modi Speaks About Telugu People & Telugu Pride
In another tirade against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Chandrababu Naidu is working to set the ball rolling for his son in the state. This is the first time that Modi has directly attacked Nara Lokesh.
In a second video-conference with AP BJP workers, Narendra Modi said: “The CM is so fixated with the rise of his son that he doesn’t realise how his politics and corruption can lead to sunset to the state. To set the son, he is creating an atmosphere of sunset of the state. He is promoting his son and forgetting other sons and daughters of the state.”
Raking up the Telugu sentiment, he said: “I ask how Telugu pride is served if one family holds the power in Andhra Pradesh. NTR fought for Congress-mukt Bharat.” Not stopping at that, Modi also spoke about Chandrababu’s episode in dethroning NTR from power and said: “Those in power in Andhra Pradesh today have betrayed Telugu people and Telugu pride. They also stabbed NTR in the back for a second time by aligning with the Congress.”
