It’s not that easy to become a film hero, become a star and stay at the top position. Only few star kids (and brothers) like Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh, NTR, Charan and Allu Arjun are able to live up to their predecessors’ fame and name.

While we have nepotism talks hitting cinema industry all the time, Tollywood always sees kin and kith of big stars entering into films as actors. Taking the legacy forward from father Superstar Krishna and brother Ramesh, it’s younger one Mahesh who rose to top form. Following Mahesh, now many are trying luck from Ghattamaneni compound.

We already have Mahesh’s Brother in Law Sudheer Babu checking luck with blessings from Krishna, then we have another brother in law Jayadev Galla’s cousin Krishna Madhav testing luck as hero sometime back. And now, Jayadev’s elder son Ashok is debuting as heroine with Adhe Nuvvu Adhe Nenu.

Unlike Mega compound where many heroes became superstars in no time, Ghattameni compound is yet to see another star after Mahesh. Will Ashok do that? Will this family see another star anytime sooner? Only time has the answer.

“I’m attracted to that video of NTR that was shot in his final days, but I’m not making my movie only it. My film will talk about the much larger picture” says Ram Gopal Varma, claiming that his Lakshmi’s NTR is going to be a true blue depiction of real incidents.

No matter what Varma says, the presence of YS Jagan’s staunch followers at the launching event of this film other day in Tirupathi is giving rise to many doubts. With YSR Congress leaders on the dias, what would Varma expect anyone to think about this movie?

“I never followed any other politician in my life than NTR. In front of all the YSR Congress leaders, I’m saying that I’ve not idolised anyone that NT Rama Rao. Those political leaders on this state, they have come here as Rakesh Reddy’s friends, but not as YSR Congress leaders”, clarified Varma, though not believable.

However, an insider shared that the film is aimed at downsizing the popularity of AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and highlighting Lakshmi Parvathi as the true heir of the legendary actor NTR. Are people going to trust in Varma if he makes such kind of film?

Bollywood hero Sushant Singh Rajput got embroiled in a sort of #MeToo controversy owing to some unclaimed allegations that he has harassed the heroine of his upcoming film ‘Kizie Aur Manny’. A report has earlier surfaced that he is troubling heroine Sanjana Sanghi and the girl complained to her parents about the same.

Many got stunned to see Sushant’s name in that, and before that, director of Kizie Aur Manny, popular casting director Mukesh Chabra, got sacked from the project temporarily after he also faced a couple of such allegations. Reacting on all this, Sushant felt quite emotional and stated that he is feeling sad to reveal personal information to defend himself and felt that there is no other way.

Revealing his SMS chats from the first till the last day of the shoot, Sushant revealed some screenshots and clarified that a hate campaign is being run against him. He stated that Twitter didn’t remove a blue tick from his account as rumours are being spread that Twitter removed blue tick of his account due to the #MeToo allegations.

On the other hand, heroine Sanjana is yet to respond to the whole fiasco and remained unavailable for a comment.

A section of media has reported that the storyline for Sukumar’s next with Mahesh has been finalzied. They even claimed that it is going to be a period film.However, our sources denied the reports and clarified that Mahesh is not keen on doing the subject narrated by Sukumar.

The Rangasthalam director has narrated a storyline set in Razakars backdrop to which Mahesh isn’t excited.
With many actors trying out period films, Mahesh felt that it would be monotonous by the time this film finishes.

Also Mahesh is not interested to do a potential controversial film with Razakars movement as the backdrop.
Meanwhile, Sukumar has readied another concept based script which suits the image of Mahesh. Sukumar will narrate the story once Mahesh returns to Hyderabad.

He will start the pre production work if Mahesh likes it. Therefore, nothing has been finalized as of now.

Aravindha Sametha had a very decent first week at box office on the whole. Despite slowing down during week days, it has posted nearly Rs. 70 crore share in its first week.

It picked up again on Dussera day to keep the hopes of buyers alive. It is set for a fabulous second weekend with Friday collections being very good.

Dussera films Hello Guru Prema Kosame and Pandem Kodi 2 opened well across Telugu states.

HGPK collected the best day 1 numbers for a Ram starrer and Vishal’s Pandem Kodi 2 also is doing well in B and C centers. All three films are in for a good weekend across all centers.

However, the real test will begin from Monday. All the films need to recover big money which means they should hold well during week days too.

Devadas ended up as a failure as it couldn’t recover the high costs.
