Mahesh In Front Page: Unfortunate Thing For Such Hero
Can you believe that an actor who donates funds to construct useful things for the sake of society, the one who adapts villages and the one who helps a children’s foundation, has evaded tax? That’s quite unbelievable.
With GST Commissionerate freezing Superstar Mahesh Babu’s bank accounts for 73 lakhs rupees and sending him notices, the news became a front-page item in all the newspapers, websites, and headlines on national TV as well. Denting the actor’s image big time, it created havoc in film circles.
Well, in the first case, let Mahesh had not paid GST, but he is not some serious offender considering his stature, as he is paying taxes from years. And then, the team of Mahesh who are looking at this auditing stuff should have been more alert. It’s unfortunate that today we have to talk about him as someone who evaded tax and invited a penalty.
Generally, everyone loves to see the likes of Mahesh in the front page of a newspaper but not for these kinds of reasons. Hope the actor and his auditors will solve the issue soon such that the remarks on him will fade out in time.
Sai Korrapati Finally Scores a Hit
Sai Korrapati, the leading producer and distributor in Tollywood, has been going through rough phase as his recent movies didn’t succeed at the box-office.
Finally, the ‘Eega’ producer has scored a hit with a dubbed movie ‘KGF’.
Trumping all recent releases, ‘KGF’ has become a big hit all over. The film has been lapped up by the masses in AP and Telangana.
Sai Korrapati strongly believed that this movie would work wonders and his gamble paid up.
The exhibitors in the Telugu states had bet high on other movies but surprisingly it is “KGF” that is drawing the crowds.
After the flops like “Yuddham Saranam” and “Patel S.I.R”, his morale went down. He stopped producing new films after these hits.
“KGF” has brought smiles on his face again and with renewed energy he would be announcing more movies.
Vijayashanthi replaces Revanth as bitter critic of KCR!
Congress working president Revanth Reddy was famous as a bitter critic of KCR and his family members all these days.Hardly a day passed for Revanth, without launching a scathing attack on KCR, KTR, Harish and Kavitha.
His accusations, allegations and criticism against KCR & family provided enough feed for media every day.But after Revanth suffering shocking defeat at the hands of TRS in recent Assembly polls, he went into political oblivion and not traced anywhere.
Congress star campaigner and actress Vijayashanthi seems to be trying to fill the void created by Revanth by taking a dig at KCR & family every day.
Vijayashanthi is not leaving any incident or opportunity to hit back at KCR and family with her postings on social media.
Criticising KCR for not forming cabinet even 15 days after TRS won elections, Ms Vijayashanthi posted on her Facebook page: “It has been nearly two weeks since the Assembly results were announced and there is no Assembly till date. MLAs haven’t yet been sworn in. The state Cabinet isn’t formed yet, but the Chief Minister is not in the state. This is the present status of democracy in Telangana state (Sic).”
Referring to recent attack by Muslim youth on Global Hospitals in Hyderabad, she said “The video circulating in social media shows the rude behaviour of the attackers towards the police. The people of Telangana are worried about their future seeing these attacks.
These kinds of situations are not seen even during the time of Telangana movement and the people of Telangana will not support these kinds of attacks.
At least the government should wakeup now and should take action on the attackers.

Top Director’s Vizag Theater to be Demolished
VMax is a well-known brand among film trade circles. The theater in Vishakapatnam has become quite popular in no time as it was owned by popular director Vinayak.
Like director Teja, V V Vinayak bought an old theater in Vizag and has turned it into V Max theater.
Plush seats, latest technology and good atmosphere has made the theater a favorite movie watching place for mass audiences and fans of various stars in Vizag.
Vinayak’s brother Vijay used to oversee all its operations. Now this is going to be demolished.
The theater will pave way to a huge shopping complex. As Vizag is emerging as important financial and business center in Andhra, big corporate companies are establishing chain of supermarkets.
A chain of Hyper Market is said to have bought this land by paying astronomical price to Vinayak. Since the price offered is huge, Vinayak sold off the theater.
VMax will fade into history now. The place will spring a plush shopping complex.
Nandamuri Mokshagna’s Debut Pushed
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s dream of launching his son Mokshagna as hero is not fructifying any time soon as the youngster is not completing the target.He has been asked by his father to achieve right physique to become a hero.He underwent training in horse-riding and other aspects but he has not completed them, he dropped them off midway.
He is more into filmmaking than in acting. This is the reason why he has not able to reach the target of completing all the tasks to become a cine hero.At one time, Balakrishna planned to launch him in NTR Biopic in one of the roles but the idea was dropped off later.
Krish has agreed to launch Mokshagna as hero if he gets into perfect shape. Boyapati has also been approached for his launch but now Boyapati will be directing Balakrishna from February.As per our sources, it will take another two years for him to get launched as hero.
YSRC Desperate To Keep SCS Issue Alive!
Having lost its representation in Lok Sabha following the resignation of its MPs, the YSR Congress party is making a desperate attempt to sustain its fight for the special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
As the Telugu Desam Party MPs continued to raise the special category issue in Lok Sabha, the two YSRC MPs in Rajya Sabha – V Vijay Sai Reddy and Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy are also protesting outside the House.
And on Thursday, the YSRC held a dharna in the name of “Vanchana Pai Garjana” (Roar against betrayal) in the national capital, where all senior leaders of the party sought to highlight the fact that only YSRC has been sincerely fighting for the special category status issue.
The YSRC leaders alleged that both chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and prime minister Narendra Modi governments had cheated the people of the state on the SCS issue despite being together for over four years. They said Naidu had given up the SCS issue along with BJP and Pawan Kalyan.
“It is only to cover up their failures during the over four year alliance that the ruling Party has been striving to project with lack of conviction. The Dharma Porata Deeksha lacks sincerity and people of the state will not forgive Naidu,” they said.
“Even now we our stand is the same on SCS and if TDP leaders are sincere they can join us and we shall walk to Prime Minister’s house to raise the issue,” they said.
After the 2019 elections, indications are that there would be a coalition government and we will support only that dispensation that would assure us unequivocally on SCS and we will emerge as a force to reckon with and Naidu will bite the dust, they said.
Centre Gives Rude Shock To Naidu
The sudden notification issued by President of India Ramnath Kovind declaring the bifurcation of common Hyderabad high court into two separate high courts for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with effect from January 1, came as a rude shock to Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
The initial impression given to Naidu was that the appointed day for bifurcation of combined high court would be April 7, coinciding with Ugadi festival, the Telugu New Year Day.
The temporary high court complex being constructed in Amaravati is nearing completion and it would take another couple of months to give it a complete look. So, Naidu thought his government would have sufficient time.
Even the team of high court judges which visited the temporary court complex expressed satisfaction over the works and was expecting that it would be ready in a couple of months.
But, the Presidential notification came as a real surprise for Naidu.
In fact, the notification came within hours of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and representing the issue of high court bifurcation. And Modi obliged the request instantly.
It was definitely an embarrassment to Naidu, as he has not made any alternative arrangements for the running of a separate high court at Amaravati.
He hurriedly asked his officials to look for accommodation to run the high court at least till the temporary complex is completed.
Finally, it was decided to allot the existing Chief Minister camp office at Vijayawada to the high court from January 1.
For about four days, the high court will run from there and after that, the court will be closed for Sankranti vacations for 15 days.
In the meantime, the temporary court complex should be ready, the chief minister instructed.
KTR Wants To Be Different From Dad!
There has been a common complaint from various sections of people against Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao: that he is not accessible even to the MLAs and ministers, leave alone party workers and common people.
Except during the TRS plenary and other party-related programmes, there had hardly been any occasion in which KCR was in touch with the party workers.
There were instances of several TRS MLAs not having met the chief minister directly even for three or four times in the four and half years of the previous term.
As regards the common people, it was easier for them to get the darshan of Lord Venkateshwara of Tirumala, rather than the chief minister.
The Pragathi Bhavan was not open for common people and KCR’s farm house at Erravelli was virtually a fortress for them to enter.
In spite of all these complaints, people had voted for the TRS, because of the welfare schemes his government had taken up.
But, now things might be a little different in the TRS. KCR’s son K T Rama Rao, who assumed charge as party’s working president, appears to have decided to adopt a different approach.
He wants to make it a point to meet the party workers regularly, hold meetings with senior functionaries and extensively tour districts to reach out to the people to understand their problems directly.
He displayed his style of functioning soon after assuming the charge. He attended a meeting of party executive and went on a tour to Siricilla, Jangaon and Warangal.
After taking break for a few days, KTR is back to his work at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday.
He would be holding a meeting of state general secretaries of the party on Friday at Telangana Bhavan, where he is going to chalk out the strategies for coming elections, planning meetings, voters list and to construct party offices.
Naturally, he wants to prove as a true leader!
