Seems like the mega powerstar is letting his guard down from the last couple of days as he is enjoying this holiday season big time. Along with his wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela, he is partying with his good friends.

Other day Charan and Upasana have thrown another Christmas party for their friends and that became a talk of the town now. As the mega hero posed with the ladies of the party, Upasana shared a picture of that, adding, “Mr C’s Christmas with all the lovely ladies”.

We can see the likes of Upasana, Jr NTR’s wife Lakshmi Pranathi, heroine Kiara Advani, Upasana’s sister Anushpala, photographer and cousin Dia Mehta Bhupal and another cousin Shreya Bhupal in the picture. Its good to see them all partying and posing for the camera.

Meanwhile, the two ladies who are missing in this picture are other good friends of Charan-Upsi, they are none other than Namrata Shirodkar and Sania Mirza!!

Among all the films that are going to hit cinemas in the upcoming Sankranthi season, the bigger ones are surely Balayya’s NTR Kathanayakudu, Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Venky & Varun Tej’s F2, while Rajnikanth’s Petta might join the gang as well.

One may think that Varun Tej and Venkatesh’s flick might get a fewer response owing to the high octane films around it. But producer Dil Raju is quite confident that he is going to stun the audiences big time with his film’s release. He is said to be banking on three factors for the same.

Firstly, he feels that F2 is the proper family film while NTR biopic and Charan’s #VVR might attract youths and fans. At the same time, none of these films other than Fun and Frustration will have that comedy tint. That is the second factor Dil Raju is confident about.

On the third, we have this festival season that gives holidays to everyone so Telugu people would like to watch at least 2-3 films. He feels that even if they pick one from #NTR, #VVR, and Petta, the other will be surely F2. Hope his calculations will match to the content of the film, and give him success.

Though we have Mass Raja Raviteja acting blind in a whole movie (Raja The Great, directed by Anil Ravipudi), his acts are never convincing. Just in the name of cinema, he has broken all the logic, defied gravity and knocked it like an open-eyed guy.

Recently this darky comedy crime film has come which stunned the whole of Hindi audiences with the protagonist playing a mischievous blind man and finally becoming a real blind man towards the end. Yes, it is Andhadhun. Both Ayushman Khurana and Tabu have delivered some spine-chilling performance in this film.

Reports are now coming up that though many makers have run after director-producer Sriram Raghavan with lucrative offers, the director has decided to direct this film as a Telugu-Tamil bilingual for the south with a talented hero. And he is said to have picked ‘Bommarillu’ fame Siddharth for the same.

Siddharth is a great performer, but many opine that it would be more interesting to see any young hero in that role. The makers also need a perfect choice for an actress to play the role done by Tabu, as bad casting will kill the essence. Let’s see what happens.

‘Devasena’ is getting ready to enthrall fans as she is keen to sign a couple of movies very soon. But then, she has signed this particular film and some cinema enthusiasts see that as something that could prove fatal to her career.

If a heroine does particular types of roles, she might get typecast for sure. And now, after Bhaagamathie, Anushka is said to be heading for another horror cum supernatural thriller. Like the way recently heroine Anjali wrapped the whole film “Chitrangadha” in the USA, now Anushka is going on a similar path. But how far that is going to work?

Though the makers are super confident of their script, starring back to back in horror movies is said to be horrifying her fans, because they don’t want Anushka to get stuck in the same genre and are actually desiring to see her as that beautiful action queen they saw in Baahubali 2.

Anyway, any prediction about an upcoming film will be unworthy until we see the trailer or teaser of it. Here, even the shooting hasn’t commenced. So just relax for now!

After scoring a hit with Dhruva, and then tumbling down with Spyder, for reasons better known to herself, spicy seductress Rakul Preet Singh is not signing Telugu movies. Like we said already, she is not at all seen on the Telugu silver screen in 2018.

According to the grapevine, with Naga Chaitanya and Venky’s Venky Mama not happening anytime soon, Rakul is said to have signed another film. We hear that she was approached by hero Nitin’s producer and she agreed to do the film. Though one may not expect a starlet of her stature to sign Nitin’s film, but still that is likely to happen, say sources.

As Nitin is likely to romance Rashmika Mandanna in Venky Kudumula’s movie, it looks like he will be running around trees with Rakul Preet in Chandrasekhar Yeleti’s film. In the first place, let this Yeleti-Nitin film get some confirmation as that creative director is struggling to lock a hero for his next.

Other than these Telugu films, Rakul has two Hindi movies and two Tamil films in her hand right now!!

Naga Babu’s recent mocking at Nandamuri Balakrishna, saying that he does not know who ‘Balayya Babu’, has gone very popular in media and no one from the film industry, not even from Balakrishna’s camp responded on it due to obvious reasons.

TDP president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of late has been showing clear symptoms of suffering from ‘superiority complex’ disorder, going by the statements he has been making in the public meetings, officials meetings and press conferences.

Superiority disorder is a psychiatric illness which the person possess the fantasy and day-dreaming experiences that he is greater and better than others.Chandrababu has been repeatedly talking about how he is greater than PM Narendra Modi.

To support his claim, he argues that he became CM in 1995, much more earlier than Narendra Modi, who became CM in 2002 ignoring the fact that Modi was elected as PM by people with a clear mandate in 2014.
He went on to say that he addressed PM Modi as ‘Sir’ several times when he visited Amaravathi, though he was much junior to him in politics.

Chandrababu even trying to tell people that he is greater than US President.

He said, “When US President Bill Clinton visited Hyderabad in late 1990s while I was CM of Undivided AP, I addressed him as Mister Clinton. But I addressed Modi as Sir several times.”

People wonder whether addressing someone as ‘Mister’ does not amount to giving respect .

Referring to AP Opposition leader and YSRCP chief Jagan, Chandrababu says Jagan lacks the experience of a sarpanch or ward member ignoring that he was elected to Lok Sabha and also Assembly.

Chandrababu is also not sparing Telangana CM KCR to press his point that he is greater than KCR.

“I gave due respect to Telangana CM KCR in the past four years though he worked under me while he was in TDP. But KCR has no respect for me now,” Naidu says.

When Naidu will realise the fact that the respect has to be earned and cannot be demanded from others.

Top director Rajamouli has already wrapped up a major first schedule of his new gigantic movie “RRR” but he has not announced the female leads yet.Another major schedule will commence in the next 10 days. Why he has not finalized the cast?

Inside sources say Rajamouli has already fixed the female lead but he is not revealing the names to anyone.As per our sources, they are planning to announce the other cast members in a different way to give more hype to this project that is being made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages with an estimated budget of Rs 300 Cr.

It is learned that the female leads will be announced on Pongal festival. Ram Charan and NTR are playing the lead roles.

Actor Ranveer Singh, who is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film “Simmba”, has said that her wife Deepika Padukone is proud of him.Ranveer was interacting with the media at the promotional meet of “Simmba” along with his co-actors Sara Ali Khan, Sonu Sood and director Rohit Shetty on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Ranveer plays a corrupt cop named ACP Sangram Bhalerao (Simmba) in the film, who turns over a new leaf after he deals with a rape case.When asked Ranveer what kind of reaction Deepika gave him after watching “Simmba”, he said, “She is very proud of me and as well as Rohit (Shetty) sir. She gave so many compliments to Rohit sir. So, I felt that should praise me as well.”

Adding to Ranveer’s statement, Rohit said, “We have an association since the film ‘Chennai Express’ so, she was very thrilled and very happy.””I don’t understand these statistics, number and figures. I am not a businessman. I am an artist so, you should ask me those type of questions,” Ranveer said on being about his expectations on box-office opening for his film “Simmba”.

Apart from Ranveer, Sara Ali Khan, Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana in the lead roles, Ajay Devgn will also appear in an extended cameo in “Simmba”. The film will release on December 28.Ranveer will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s “Gully Boy” and Karan Johar’s period epic, “Takht”.

Vijay Deverakonda has turned down the opportunity to work with Bollywood’s rising superstar Ranveer Singh.

If reports from Bollywood are to be Bollywood, Vijay Deverakonda has politely informed the makers that he is not interested to play second fiddle to Ranveer Singh even though it provides him great platform to go national.

Ranveer Singh is all set to commence the biopic of former cricketer Kapil Dev who won World Cup for India for the first time.

Ranveer Singh is essaying Kapil’s role, while the director Kabir Khan felt Vijay Deverakonda would fit the bill for the role of cricketer Krish Srikanth.

The film is produced by Telugu producer Vishnu Induri. It was Vishnu who came up with this idea to rope in Vijay Deverakonda as he is enjoying great popularity among the youth in South India.

Buzz is that Vijay Deverakona is more interested to debut in Bollywood as lead actor in Karan Johar’s production than playing guest roles or extended guest roles in other Bollywood star’s movie.

2018 has been a disappointing year for Telugu Cinema despite some memorable films and big blockbusters.

Many films turned out to be outright flops at box office leaving buyers and producers in dire straits.

Here are the top 15 biggest duds of the year. We tried to list out top 10 flops, but the list is so big that we had to make it bigger.

1) Officer: There are duds, there are disasters and there is Officer. It is the biggest flop in the history of Telugu cinema with less than Rs. 1 crore distributor share.

The Nag-Varma duo that changed the face of Telugu cinema with Shiva has now left an everlasting scar on it with Officer.

2) Agnyathavasi: Who would have thought that the combination of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram can go horribly wrong.

The film marked the twenty fifth appearance of Powerstar on big screen, but ended up as a landmark failure.

Trivikram’s idea of recreating Attarintiki Daredi magic has boomeranged big time.

3) Amar Akbar Anthony: Mythri Movie Makers have delivered the biggest hit of the year and also featured in the top 5 disasters list with Amar Akbar Anthony, a brand Srinu Vaitla debacle.

The Dookudu director has delivered four duds in a row and his good friend Raviteja completed a hat-trick of disasters in the same year.

4) Intelligent: Akhil proved that Vinayak’s formula can go wrong, but Intelligent makes Akhil proud. Sai Dharam Tej’s market took a huge hit with the film that his next film couldn’t even register decent attendance on its day 1.

5) Sakshyam: Bellamkonda Srinivas is becoming synonymous with big budget films and biggest duds. Sakshyam made on a very high budget turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office.

6) Srinivasa Kalyanam: Dil Raju got a shocker with Srinivasa Kalyanam, a family drama that was expected to do as well as Shatamanam Bhavati.

One cannot escape from failure with mediocre scripts all the time. Nithin also completed a hat-trick of disasters with Srinivasa Kalyanam.

7) Savyasachi: Hit combos can fail is what 2018 has taught to Telugu cinema. PK-Trivikram, RT-Vaitla was joined by Chay-Chandoo Mondeti.

The duo that delivered a successful Premam has made a mess out of the concept of vanishing twin syndrome.

8) Touch Chesi Chudu: Raviteja’s fall started with Touch Chesi Chudu directed by Vikram Sirikonda. It’s all downhill for the Mass Maharaja from here.

9) Adhugo: Ravibabu has made audience repent for watching Adhugo in which a piglet played the lead role. The film is so bad that it couldn’t even recover publicity expenses from theaters.

10) Nela Ticket: If possible, Raviteja will hope to erase 2018 from his life. The year has been so disastrous that Mass Maharaja is no longer hot in the trade.

Even Kalyan Krishna who delivered back to back hits couldn’t come up with a decent script for him.

11) Tej – I Love You: Sai Dharam Tej’s miseries continued with Tej directed by Karunakaran. Tej was a very big flop that SDT has to take a brief break to recover from the failures.

12) @Nartanashala: Naga Shourya might have felt he had finally cracked the code of box office, but it didn’t take so long for him to realize the reality.

After a successful Chalo the young actor suffered three flops in a row this year.

13) Kavacham: Bellamkonda’s woes continued even after slashing the production costs. The actor should realize that just doing dances and fights and having a top actress by his side will ensure a success.

14) Lover: Raj Tarun is another actor who delivered a hat-trick of flops in the same year. What’s more worrying is the fact that producers like Nagarjuna and Dil Raju also couldn’t give him a success. Lover would be the most forgettable film for Dil Raju in years.

15) Naa Nuvve: Kalyan Ram is yet to score a hit post Patas. He had two releases this year, but both the movies failed to click. His attempt for an image makeover didn’t yield desired results with Naa Nuvve.

Honorable Mentions: Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya is one of the notable flops of the year. The star has finally ran out of luck and paid big price for his mediocre choices. Chal Mohan Ranga, Kirrak Party, Nota, Vijetha, Bhairava Geetha and the list goes on and on.
