With TRS Supremo KCR is busy with preparing political strategy and getting ready to kick start nearly 100 public meetings in the next 50 days, senior leader Harish Rao has been given the responsibility of looking after political affairs if Gajwel assembly constituency from where KCR was elected in 2014 elections and contest in the ensuing elections also.

KCR was elected from Gajwel with a majority of 20,000 votes in last elections. From now onwards, Harish will take care of local political affairs in Gajwel. He already held a meeting with people of a village in KCR’s constituency and adopted a resolution that all voters will vote in support of TRS chief.

Harish will take up poll campaign in Gajwel in the next 50 days. KCR will attend one or two public meetings only. Leaders said that recognising poll management skills of Harish, KCR entrusted the young leader the responsibility of his victory with a huge margin.

Harish already announced that KCR will win by a margin of one lakh votes this time. In fact, Harish was the only leader who won elections with the highest majority of one lakh votes in 2014 elections. Hope Harish will get more majority to KCR than him in the ensuing elections.

Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan usually makes critical comments against political leaders. Now, it appears that he is expressing anger at his own partymen too. He did not hesitate to warn his fans and Jana Sena supporters. “Just by getting flexis and banners erected, one can’t become a leader. A leader should work without giving room to egos and personal feelings,” Pawan Kalyan said.

During his visit to the ‘Rottela Panduga’ in Nellore district, Pawan met with Jana Sena leaders in a hotel. During the meeting, a party activist expressed her anger and said that the local leaders are not giving due importance to party activists in the town. She alleged that there is no recognition in the party even though she worked hard for the cause of Jana Sena.

Immediately, Pawan Kalyan lost his cool and slammed the leaders. He asked the local leaders to put aside their ego and welcome everyone into the party. He urged the leaders not to divide anyone with their egoistic attitude. However, the remarks have caught the leaders off-guard. Some of them felt that Pawan Kalyan should have expressed his opinions in a subtle way rather expressing anger in an outright manner.

On the other hand, Pawan seems to be deeply worried about the impending ego issues that will internally damage Janasena just when he is keen on strengthening the party from the grassroot level in view of the upcoming general elections. Pawan must have been wary about how the opposition parties had to face setbacks due to the ego issues of several leaders.

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu went to the United States of America on Sunday on an official trip – in the name of addressing a United Nations conference on agriculture and also a meeting of the World Economic Forum among other things.But he has also used the occasion to campaign for his party. He addressed a huge meeting of Telugu NRIs in the US at New York, where he gave them a call to vote for the TDP in the coming elections.

“Very soon, the NRIs are all going to get voting rights. They can exercise their franchise for their favourite candidates in their constituencies back home in India, while continuing to stay in the US,” he said.

Stating that voting the TDP back to power for a second term is a historic necessity for the state, Naidu claimed credit for so many thousands of Telugu people settling down in the US.

“Because of my efforts in the promotion of engineering education during my earlier stints in combined AP and my hardworking in bringing global IT companies to Hyderabad making it an IT-hub, you could come to the US in such a huge number. It is your duty to vote for the party that gave you so much,” Naidu asserted.

He went on to claim that the yellow flag of the TDP was fluttering in every corner of the world and the TDP was the only party that had got the credit.

There is nothing wrong for a political party president or leader to go the US to appease the NRIs. Even recently, YSR Congress party MLA Kona Raghupathi also went to the US and appealed to the YSR fans associations to campaign for the party in the coming elections.

But what is not acceptable is that Naidu went there in the capacity of the Andhra chief minister and not TDP president. It is an official trip and the expenditure is incurred from public exchequer.

So, it is not morally correct on the part of Naidu, who went to the US on public money, to use the occasion for campaigning for the TDP.

However, Naidu does it rather brazenly, unmindful of the criticism. For the last few months, Naidu has been organising meetings in Andhra in the name Dharma Porata Deeksha and Jnana Bheri, with the government money, but at all such meetings, he only appealed to the people to support the TDP and reject the secret alliance between the YSRC and the BJP!

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday crossed yet another historic milestone in his marathon Praja Sankalpa Yatra, a walkathon that has stirred the politics of Andhra Pradesh in the last one year.

Jagan will be completing his walk for 3,000 km, as he enters Srungavarapukota in Vizianagaram district. This is the longest padayatra ever taken up by any politician in the state.

Monday marked the 269th day of padayatra for Jagan. He began his walkathon on November 6th last year from the former late Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy’s native place, Kadapa.

The mega walkathon is being undertaken with the slogan “Raavali Jagan, Kaavali Jagan” (Jagan should come, we want Jagan), aimed at catapulting him to power in the assembly elections due exactly few months from now.

Jagan launched the walkathon to reach out to at least two crore people across the 125 assembly segments in 13 districts of the state, covering a distance of over 3,000 km.

Though the padayatra was originally scheduled for 180 days and should have ended by now, but due to the overwhelming response from the people across all the districts covered so far Jagan decided to stretch, given its current pace.

Given the huge public response and irrespective of climate, he is covering about 13-15 km a day. So, it may take many more days for him to complete the rest of the walkathon.

Praja Sankalp Yatra is going to enter Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts before the foot march culminates at Icchapuram bordering Odisha.

The party leaders, MLAs, MLCs, MPs and other elected members are going to conduct a three-day padayatra spread across all the Assembly Constituencies and mandals featuring special activities and public address by taking the Navaratnalu scheme into every house starting September 25.

Within a year from completing Padayatra, Rajasekhara Reddy went on to become the Chief Minister (of the then undivided Andhra Pradesh).

People across the state implicit trust that this sentiment is going to work out for *“Rajanna Bidda”* and swear as Chief Minister of AP in 2019.

The confidence and support Jagan enjoys across all districts and all castes, seem to shift the gear towards YSRCP opine the experts.

Undoubtedly, the padayatra changed political scenario in AP and the party’s equations which has given a positive strength to party leaders, cadre and created 100 percent confidence among the cadre, say the party leaders.
