Hyderabad: With the ruling TRS party’s massive win in the Telangana Assembly elections, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s son K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday thanked the people of the state for giving them another opportunity to serve.
“Grateful, indebted and humbled. Thanks Telangana for keeping the faith in KCR Garu and giving us another opportunity to serve you,” tweeted Rama Rao, a Minister in his father’s cabinet
Popularly known as KTR, Rama Rao appears set to retain the Sircilla seat.
Seen as KCR’s successor, the young leader arrived at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi headquarters here to a warm welcome by hundreds of party workers.

Telangana Poll Results : Congress Gets Chopper
Congress’ top netas have rushed to Hyderabad ahead of the people’s verdict in Telangana. While TRS is extremely confident of marching to victory on its own, Congress leaders speculate that they could form the government with the help of independents/rebels along with Praja Kutami.
Amidst this, Congress trouble shooters Ghulam Nabi Azad, DK Shivakumar (from Karnataka) have already reached Hyderabad. Another senior leader Jairam Ramesh and Sonia Gandhi’s close aide Ahmed Patel are expected to fly down to Hyderabad today.
Interestingly, Congress has kept chopper for airlifting of MLAs if needed and even independents who would like to support Prajakutami. Congress camp is all set to protect its winning MLAs against poaching. At the same time, it is all set to lift MLAs if there is a fractured verdict.
Congress is on high-alert after it faced bad experience in government formation in Goa and Meghalaya earlier.
A special chopper has been hired and is kept on stand by at a secret location in neighbouring Karnataka. DK Shiva Kumar, who had played a key role in JDS-Congress post-poll alliance in Karnataka, has been assigned the task of organizing the ‘camp’ for winners from Kutami and to keep them safe. Depending on the situation, DK Shiva Kumar might shift the Kutami candidates to Bengaluru or any other place in Karnataka if a fractured verdict is in offing.
Already, Congress has passed strict orders to all its candidates and summoned them to report by today evening. Local leaders have been assigned the responsibility of bringing the winning candidates.
Netizens Fuming At Superstar Rajini For Ill-Treating Maid
Superstar Rajinikanth might have not expected that even after delivering a stunning film like #2PointO, there will be some fans who will rip his image off. And then, these comments are neither politically incited nor wrongly motivated.
Other day Rajini and his family booked the whole Satyam Theatre (single screen) to watch #2PointO movie. And as some enthusiasts click shots of this event, a couple of photos are clearly depicting that all the way while Rajini’s family is watching the film, their maid, a girl in her teens, was standing at the back row.
Looking at this picture, netizens are now fuming at the Superstar asking him how he could ill-treat a maid that way. Some are asking why the Rajinikanth family hasn’t asked the maid to get seated. At least they should have asked her to sit a couple of rows away, in case if they feel that their statuses are different, some said.
Celebrities mistreating their maids and maidservants are not a new thing but it will not be expected from a person of Rajnikanth’s stature.
It’s KCR’s Telangana
TRS is all set to sweep Telangana. Going by the poll trends, TRS is leading in 86 seats, while Praja Kutami (Congress, TDP) is leading in meager 21 seats. BJP is leading in 4 seats, MIM is leading in 5 seats. This is a clear indication that Telanganites in unison voted for TRS.
Congress senior leaders like Revanth Reddy, Jana Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, DK Aruna, Shabbir Ali, Geetha Reddy, Konda Surekha are trailing. Senior leader Jeevan Reddy lost by over 30,000 votes in the hands of TRS candidate Sanjay Kumar in Jagityal.
TDP is leading in only Sathupally and Aswaraopet Assembly constituencies. It is trailing in Kukatpally, Serlingampally, Rajendra Nagar, Uppal, Ibrahimpatnam.
KTR’s Profile Pic With Gun In Discussion
Just a day before the counting day, KTR has changed his profile pic on his twitter handle. He is seen holding a gun like a sharp shooter. As the adage says “pictures speak louder than words”, many are discussing about the intention behind updating this pic.
KTR has been very confident about the triumphant victory of TRS and he has been reiterating the same in every media byte. Even after the Lagadapati’s survey report before the elections, KTR responded swiftly on his twitter handle, implying that the survey need not be believed.
He has updated this gun shooting pic, only to convey that he is going to win and TRS has perfectly aimed at the victory. The present victory of TRS has added value to this pic.
Lagadapati Survey is Utter Flop in Telangana
Lagadapati Rajagopal’s flash survey on Telangana polls is an utter flop as TRS is sweeping the state. In a rude shock to Lagadapati and Prajakutami, people of Telangana has given a clear mandate to KCR’s Telanagana.
While TRS is leading in 89 seats out of 119 seats, Congress is leading only in 17 seats while TDP is leading 2, BJP is leading in 4 seats and MIM is leading in 5 seats. So far, TRS has won 1 seat (Jagityal) and MIM has won 1 seat (Charminar).
Contrary to Lagadapati’s survey that predicted 55 to 65 seats for Praja Kutami, 25 to 45 seats for TRS, 7 seats for BJP, the current results are totally in contrast as TRS is leading in 89 seats.
National media’s exit poll surveys turned out to be true. India Today, Axis My India survey that predicted 79 to 91 seats to TRS has come very close to the results.
Uttam Makes Secret Visit To Delhi
TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy made a discreet visit to New Delhi on Monday and met Rahul Gandhi.
The objective of the visit was to impress upon Rahul Gandhi the need to officially declare him as the Chief Ministerial candidate in case the Mahakutami emerges victorious on December 11. Even Uttam’s closest aides were reportedly kept in the dark regarding this visit.
Uttam had rushed to Delhi in the wee hours of Monday and returned to city by noon.
Meanwhile, speculation is rife that TPCC Working President Revanth Reddy has also thrown his hat into the ring for the CM’s post saying that he had the blessings of Rahul Gandhi and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.
Then of course, there are eternal hopefuls like Jana Reddy, DK Aruna, Komatireddy brothers etc. In fact, Komatireddy is expected to make a visit to Delhi as well saying that he has the perfect credentials for the top job as a five-time MLA.

There would be many movies with identical plots, but success and failure lies in the way it is treated and packaged.

Cong leads in three BJP-ruled states, TRS in Telangana
New Delhi: Congress candidates on Tuesday took significant leads in BJP-ruled Rajasthan and was inching ahead of the BJP in both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in Assembly elections held in five states.
Early trends from counting centres also showed that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) appeared set to retain power in Telangana while the ruling Congress was lagging behind the Mizo National Front (MNF) in Mizoram in state elections that were widely dubbed a “semi-final” ahead of the Lok Sabha battle next year.
In line with exit polls, the Congress appeared to be returning to power after a five-year gap in Rajasthan, the country’s largest state which has not re-elected a ruling party in recent times.
Congress candidates were ahead in 87 of the 199 constituencies, gaining around 60 seats, while the BJP was leading in 70 seats but heavily losing in over 50 constituencies.
And in a reversal of trends, the Congress overtook the BJP in both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Both states the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ruled for 15 years.
Congress nominees were ahead of others in 75 seats and the BJP in 60 in the battle for the 230-member Assembly. While the Congress made major gains across the state, the BJP was losing many seats it has held for long.
In Chhattisgarh, the Congress was ahead in 44 of the 90 seats, giving a fright to the BJP, whose Chief Minister Raman Singh was at one time trailing in the vote count from Rajnandgaon before he overtook his rivals later.
BJP candidates were ahead in 25 seats in Chhattisgarh.
In Mizoram, the ruling Congress was trailing to the MNF, whose candidates were ahead in 16 of the 40 seats. The Congress was ahead in five seats, losing as many as 10 seats.
The TRS was poised to retain power in Telangana with a huge majority, with its candidates leading in 80 of the 119 seats, leaving the Congress-led alliance way behind.
Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi told the media that he was confident of a Congress victory in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and said he had “always been a little more pessimistic” about Telangana.
