Can This Soft Love Story Help Nandamuri Hero?

Share

Recently when this Nandamuri hero came up with a cool story, he has faced disappointment at the box office. After the failure of ‘Na Nuvve’, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is focusing on delivering a film with a different content, but then he is looking forward to love stories again.

While waiting to wrap his upcoming thriller being directed by KV Guhan on one side, Kalyan Ram is now showing interest in this soft love story. We hear that director Virinchi Varma of Uyyala Jampala and Majnu fame has narrated a love story to the Nandamuri Hero and he liked it immensely.

But cinema lovers are of the opinion that Kalyanram has this mass image which will not suit him to soft love stories. The success of Pataas is an example that he is loved a mass hero but not as a class lover boy. So how this film will affect his career graph is the big question now.

That said, Kalyan Ram is said to be looking forward to doing films with a different content from now rather regular masala stories.

Andhra Voters Upset? What Is This Percentage?

Share

Already it became a topic of discussion everywhere as to why the voting percentage in Hyderabad city is quite low as the general election for assembly segment got concluded other day. And there is another surprise to it.

Especially in most of the areas where there is more than 80% presence of Andhra settlers and first descendants of settlers, the voter turnout is quite low. On a whole Telangana state registered around 67% of the voting, but then, there are places where there is nearly 70% turnout.

Unofficial figures collected at ground level are indicating that polling percentages are very low in a constituency where there are a majority of Andhra voters. While Kukatpally is said to have registered 50% turnout, LB Nagar (39%), Jubilee Hills (40%), Sanath Nagar (37%), Uppal (43%) and Serlingampally (47%) are much below than that. One wonders why half of the registered voters are missing in action.

Some say that Andhra voters got hurt with various political equations and hence this bad turnout. Few analysts opined that the long weekend has forced many to ditch election and go on vacations. We have to see how the results in these constituencies are going to be like.

Exit Poll Results : Why Chandrababu Is Silent?

Share

Chandrababu Naidu has aggressively campaigned against KCR in Telangana. He has went all out in support of Praja Kutami-led by Congress. Whilst all the leaders of all political parties in Telangana have come out after the election and exuded confidence over their party’s winning prospects, Chandrababu who played crucial role in the Telangana elections is tight-lipped.

Even after Lagadapati’s exit poll verdict that is in favour of Praja Kutami which he predicted between 55 to 65, Chandrababu’s stoic silence on Telangana is giving rise to several doubts among pro-TDP voters. Given that all prominent national media including Times Now, India Today, Republic TV have given a clear edge to the TRS, Chandrababu’s silent after the election is worrying the TDP’s fans in Telangana who wished to see TDP playing dominant role in the state where it had ruled for so long.

Focus Andhra Pradesh

Soon after the Telangana’s campaign date i.e 5th Dec, Chandrababu has turned his complete focus onto Andhra Pradesh. He has signed Future Mobility Partnership with Kia Motors in Amaravati. On the crucial D-day in Telangana, Chandrababu Naidu has interacted with the Union Delegation team from the Centre to whom he has appealed to do justice to the state. Naidu has explained the damage incurred to the state due to Cyclone Titli in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram districts besides the drought in Rayalaseema region. Naidu has sought the Centre to release Rs 1401.54 Crore as an immediate relief towards the drought in the state. Of 1401.54 Crore, the state has sought an input subsidy of Rs 979.83 Crore to farming, Rs 1.85 Crore to horticulture farming, Rs 124.58 Crore to rural drinking water distribution and hygiene, 133.21 Crore to drinking water, RS 162.06 Crore to animal husbandary department.

Kadapa, Anantapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, Nellore, Prakasam districts said to be suffering to the core. Even the officials from the Union Delegation have assured of doing their best. Naidu told officials that farmers shouldn’t be taken for granted and government shouldn’t let to create an unrest among farmers. Chandrababu told the central government officials that the Centre’s help is not all sufficient to the state. Naidu also raised the issue of bifurcation of the state and said he had raised the problems of AP during the bifurcation itself, but no one had foreseen these. He asked the Union Government to release funds to AP.

Buzz: Young Heroine’s Bad Luck Continues

For Bellamkonda Srinivas, there are two more films in the pipeline, and for Kajal Agarwal, there are three more big movies coming up. But for this cute lady, this movie is everything as she has only one more in her kitty.

Yes, we’re talking about the result of Kavacham and there are rumours heard in Film Nagar that young hero Mehreen is quite upset with the outcome of the film. For reasons unknown, she hasn’t promoted the film, however she pinned her hopes to this movie’s success. But her bad luck has hit her back again.

Joining the likes of C/o Suryaa, Jawaan, Pantham and NOTA, now Kavacham became the fifth flop in a row for this chubby Punjabi lady. Before these five films, at least she has Raja The Great, an average grosser. We hear that Mehreen is now worried if she will end up as a Taapsee Pannu, who has done a dozen movies here but scored no hits.

In her next, Mehreen will be seen opposite Varun Tej in F2 and this film should give the much needed respite to her. Let’s see!

Telugu Girl’s Unwanted Show Of Stardom

Share

Definitely, a heroine will get more attention if she does a lot of PR activities. That is what our hotties like Rakul Preet do in Mumbai to get all the attention from paparazzi, shutterbugs, and other media folks. But that should be done in a way.

Other day, Telugu girl Eesha Rebba has surprised many when her PR team sent a message saying that she will be voting at this particular booth in Patancheru area at 11.30 am in the morning. Generally, Bollywood PR agencies leak such info to shutterbugs and that is how we see pictures of hot heroines coming out of coffee shops and gyms. So who went and clicked this Telugu beauty?

When everyone is busy casting their vote, and the available media folks busy at polling booths in Jubilee Hills where high profile celebs turn up, who is going to Patancheru to take a photo of Eesha Rebba? That’s one logic she missed out completely.

At least she should have clicked her photograph with that indelible ink mark on her index finger and uploaded it on social media. Otherwise, there is no point in this unwanted show of stardom.

Chiranjeevi Episode Created Fears In Many!

Share

Other than K Raghavendra Rao, almost all the celebrities have stood up in queue other day to cast their votes. Though many audiences asked the likes of Jr NTR and Allu Arjun to go ahead and vote first, these celebs refused. Here is an interesting talk over that.

Way back in 2014, when Megastar Chiranjeevi entered a poll booth to cast his vote, nearly a dozen citizens have requested him to move ahead in the queue. And when he obliged their request, one voter actually stopped him and warned him in English that the matinee idol should not do that.

And as that video clip became a sensational trending thing in the whole of India, definitely Chiranjeevi would have felt more embarrassed, while it created fear in others. Keeping that incident mind, other day, no celebrity from Tollywood has dared to go ahead of the queue and vote, even though fellow voters and poll booth agents asked them to do so. Only K Raghavendra Rao has dared to cut the line.

Also as Election Commission banned cellphones and other video devices at the booth premises, these celebs could have dared to do it, but they didn’t want to become a laughing stock.

Kedarnath: This ‘Titanic’ Has No Spine!

Share

A Hindu girl and a Muslim boy fall in love and the rich Hindu family will not accept their love. Done. Then the two are hit by a catastrophe that makes their love immortal. Done. But we are not telling an old tale, it’s the story of a new film that released today.

Yes, this is the story of ‘Kedarnath’ movie which marks the debut of Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan as a heroine. The film has Sushant Singh Rajput playing the lead. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film is all about the natural disaster that devasted the Kedarnath temple in 2013, if we have to go by the trailer. That’s where it resembled the Titanic movie.

But inside the film, there is neither a strong love story between Sushanth-Sara like in Titanic, nor the proper depiction of the flood attack. The flash flood episode is the climax of the film and by that time already viewers lose their interest over the movie. While the films like Titanic, The Day After Tomorrow and 2012 are always a super hit, somehow Kedarnath lacked the spine such screenplays should usually have.

The movie is most likely to end up as a below average farer at the box office.

Telangana Elections Costliest Ever?

Share

The ongoing elections to the Telangana assembly are said to be the costliest ever held in this part – both in combined Andhra Pradesh and now in separate state.

This is evident from the amount of cash seized by the police in different parts of the state in the last one and a half month as reported by the Election Commission.

Till Thursday evening, the police seized Rs 137 crore from different parts of the state. This is nearly Rs 50 crore more than the amount seized during the 2014 assembly elections in the region.

Interestingly, it is much more than what was spent on campaigning in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh put together.

In Madhya Pradesh, which has 230 Assembly constituencies, approximately Rs 29 crore has been seized in this election, while about Rs 35 crore has been seized in Rajasthan and another Rs 20 crore in Chhattisgarh.

During 2014 general elections, an amount of Rs 331 crore was seized from across India. The undivided Andhra Pradesh accounted for Rs 153 crore of this total amount.

However, Tamil Nadu created a records of sorts in cash seizure – nearly Rs 400 crore in the 2016 assembly elections.

Officials say the amount seized in Telangana was just a tip of an iceberg. “It is not even 10 per cent of the total amount spent by the candidates in purchasing votes.

Every party is spending huge amounts to win the elections and the entire money had already reached the voters, so there is no way of catching them,” an official said.

However, is believed that the forthcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh will set a new record in election expenditure.

“In the last by-elections in Nandyal alone, there were reports that the TDP had spent more than Rs 200 crore. Imagine the expenditure in 175 assembly constituencies in AP,” the official commented.

Lagdapati Gives Big Shock To National Media

Share

At a time when national media firms like Times Now, India Today have predicted a clear victory of TRS in the just-concluded Telangana Assembly elections, Lagadapati Rajagopal has given a big shock to KCR and national media.

Rajagopal’s RG Flash Survey predicted that Praja Kutami would win between 45 to 75 seats and 25 to 45 for TRS while he said independents would get 5 to 7 seats, BJP to win 5 to 7 seats, MIM to win 6 to 7 seats and CPM would likely to get 1 seat.

This comes as a big blow to national media that predicted the other way round. In fact, Rajagopal has not just revived the hopes of Praja Kutami, but he has made the game more interesting. Although results are just 3 more days away, leaders of political parties and several people are bundle of nerves.

Rajagopal said there were many influences that could have played significant role in deciding the verdict. He however gave an edge to Congress-led grand alliance. He said the comprehensive exit poll results would be shared on 10th December, a day before the results.
