Paruaram’s Mega Bonding!
Although he has made 6 movies in a decade, director Parasuram couldn’t get that one big breakthrough which will take him to the next league of directors. And finally, his latest outing Geetha Govindam has turned out to be a massive hit by collecting nearly 105 crores.
Parasuram will be doing his next film for Geetha Arts 2 banner, which produced Geetha Govindam. Producer Bunny Vas recently gifted Parasuram a brand new flat as his advance remuneration. Naturally, all eyes are on the hero who will be acting under Parasuram’s direction.
In an exclusive update, we have been informed that young Mega hero Varun Tej has been confirmed as the male lead in Parasuram’s next movie. It’s going to be a romantic family entertainer just like Geetha Govindam. An official announcement regarding the project will be out next week.
No Production in Next 2 Years – Sampath
Sampath Nandi seems to have faced the heat of being producer. The Racha director has decided not to produce films for the next 2 years and rather wants to focus on his direction.
Sampath’s latest production Paper Boy which released yesterday opened to mixed talk. Apart from this, Sampath has also felt that there was a lot of stress and hard work in production and hence decided to wait for next 2 years.
Even Sampath’s debut production Galipatam has backfired and now his latest release Paper Boy receiving lukewarm response is adding to the disappointment.
Now, Sampath is focusing on direction. After his last film Gautham Nanda with Gopichand turned out to be a dud, Sampath is planning to direct Gopichand again in his next directorial. And this will be crucial for Sampath as well as Gopi to bounce back given their recent films didn’t do well at all.
Karnataka CM’s Son To Marry Vijayawada Girl
Karnataka Chief Minister and film producer HD Kumaraswamy’s son actor Nikhil Gowda is all set to tie the knot. Interestingly, the bride is a Telugu girl who hails from Vijayawada. Nikhil’s debut film was the Kannada-Telugu bilingual film ‘Jaguar’ that released two years ago.
Recently, Kumaraswamy, along with Nikhil, met the bride’s parents who are well-known industrialists in Andhra Pradesh. Noted Andhra industrialists cum politicians Ramakrishnam Raju and Lagadapati Rajagopal accompanied Kumaraswamy during his visit to Vijayawada.
However, the details of the Vijayawada industrialist’s family still continues to be a secret. Nikhil has been dating the girl for the last two years. The lovebirds met each other 2 years ago in Bengaluru. Further details will emerge once the two families finalise the marriage proposal.
Lakshyam, Loukyam – What Next?
Director Sriwass is going to collaborate with hero Gopichand yet again. After making Lakshyam and Loukyam with Gopi, Sriwass is going to start his next film which is expected to be formally launched on the eve of Vijaya Dasami and would go onto the floors subsequently.
The film will be produced by Bharat Chowdary, Kiran Reddy of Blue Planet Entertainment who produced Nene Raju Nene Mantri, MLA and now Sill Fellows.After his last two films Dictator and Saakshyam turned out to be duds, director Sriwass this time is confident of pulling off and is going to team up with his lucky mascot Gopi with whom he had given his career-best film Loukyam.
Although it’s not clear whether it would be an out-and-out entertainer like Loukyam or not, but Sriwass is said to be planning good dose of humour given the expectations on their successful combo.

“Geetha Govindam” has slowed down its run after performing on staggering manner for 15 days. However, it has not ended its run. In fact, the film has suddenly got more life at box-office after this weekend releases.
Trade pundits expected that Naga Shaurya’s ‘Narthanasala’ would put an end to Vijay Deverakonda’s movie run.Contrary to the calculations of the trade pundits, “Geetha Govindam” is collecting double the amount than what the new release “Narthanasala” is getting from each show. This is really surprising.Now that the new releases including “Paper Boy” have failed to attract the audiences, Vijay Deverakonda’s new movie will add moolah to its kitty.
The film has already crossed Rs 55 Cr mark. Now it has chances to reach Rs 60 Cr mark.

Everyone appreciated Naga Shaurya for Chalo which was a huge risk as it was his own production and had a debut director.Chalo gave the young actor a fresh lease of life at the ticket window. But, the film industry is a great leveler.
After the biggest hit of his career, Naga Shaurya has tasted three back-to-back flops in the form of Kanam, Ammammagari Illu and Narthanasala which is another home production.In all fairness to the actor, Kanam and Ammammagari Illu were projects he had signed before Chalo.
However, in refusing to do anything to have to do with those films after the success of Chalo, Naga Shaurya also contributed in a way to their dismal performance at the box-office.On the personal side too, he seems to be having a slight disturbance as he has reportedly broken up with Niharika Konidela and also got into a controversy with his statement on Vijay Devarakonda.
H-1B Visa Crackdown: Indian CEO arrested in US
NEW YORK: An Indian citizen, who was the CEO of two information technology companies in the US, has been arrested in connection with a multi-year visa-fraud scheme involving forged and fraudulent documents to get visas such as H1B for over 200 foreign workers.
Pradyumna Kumar Samal, 49, was taken into custody as he arrived from an international flight at Seattle airport.
The criminal complaint describing the visa-fraud scheme was filed under seal in April 2018, soon after Samal fled the United States while the investigation was ongoing. He remained out of the country until this week when he was arrested by law enforcement.
The criminal complaint describes how two companies incorporated by Samal in 2010 and 2011 in Washington state engaged in a scheme sometimes referred to as a “bench-and-switch” scheme, to exploit foreign-national workers, compete unlawfully in the market, and defraud the US government.
According to the investigation that began in 2015, Samal served as the chief executive officer of ‘Azimetry’ in Bellevue, near Seattle. Both companies were in the business of providing information-technology workers, such as software development engineers, to major corporate clients.
The complaint alleges that Samal submitted, and directed his employees to submit, forged and false application materials to the United States government, making it appear as if two corporate clients already had agreed to use several foreign-national employees named in the applications. However, neither client had agreed to do so.
The forged documents included forged letters and fraudulent statements of work, which appeared as if they had been signed by senior executives at the two clients. After the US Citizenship and Immigration Services relied on the false representations and approved the work visa applications, Samal’s companies “benched” the foreign nationals, leaving those foreign nationals unpaid unless they were able to place those employees at actual end clients.
Nearly 200 workers may have been brought in under the phony applications. The employees were forced to pay Samal’s companies a partially-refundable “security deposit” of as much as $5,000 for the visa filings, regardless of whether they were assigned to any projects that provided them with income.
Visa Fraud is punishable by up to ten years in prison and a USD 250,000 fine.

Making a film like Sye Raa is not easy and realising this, producer Ram Charan has given director Surender Reddy, a free hand in terms of both budget and deadlines.While asking Surender to spend according to the requirements of the script, Cherry has reportedly told the latter not to worry even if the final budget turns out to be around Rs 200 crore.
What’s more, he asked Surender not to worry about meeting deadlines and focus on a quality output.Cherry believes that a film like Sye Raa needs to be made with extreme care and it is important, not to put undue producer on the director.
Also, one need not worry about release time as such a film will attract the audiences in any season. The experience of working on Magadheera and Rangasthalam seems to have come in handy for Cherry in making these decisions.

Of late, Movie Artists’ Association (MAA) has been besieged by a lot of controversies and now, fresh allegations have cropped up regarding irregularities in the use of funds.Recently, English dailies have been especially focusing on this aspect.We had reported earlier that one of the primary accusations is that there has been corruption regarding the overseas programmes of MAA in connection with the silver jubilee celebrations and the names of actor Srikanth and Shivaji Raja are being mentioned in this regard.
Actor Senior Naresh who is the secretary of MAA has got into action now. With the media blasting MAA over the allegations, Naresh went to MAA office, took all the office records and locked them safely.He then requested for an urgent meeting to discuss the negative image that MAA is getting in the media and the reasons for it.Among the many complaints against MAA are that it has been holding numerous press meets like never before and spending a lot of money unnecessarily.
Another point that will be discussed in the meeting today is Prabhas and Mahesh Babu’s overseas’ programmes along with reports of corruption regarding the rights to Chiranjeevi’s overseas’ programmes.The elections to MAA will be held again in 2019 and Sivaji Raja is likely to contest for another term as President. If that should happen, then what MAA needs is to clean up its act.
Bhairava Geetha Trailer : A Violent Love Story
After an impressive poster, the makers have unveiled the trailer of Bhairava Geetha. The trailer sticks to the film’s genre and sincere enough. It is intense, raw and promising. Based on a true love story, Bhairava Geetha is on the lines of RX 100.
The visuals are appealing and leaving a mark. Background score compliments the visuals. And dialogues are engaging and sincere to the genre and the Rayalaseema backdrop in which the film is set.
Being dubbed into Telugu from Kannada, lacking known faces is a major shortcoming for the film. And RGV’s past track-record is also casts shadow on Bhairava Geetha. So, one has to wait and see, how audiences would receive the film directed by Siddhartha.
