Hero Turns Bouncer For NTR & Kalyan Ram
The last three days have been extremely difficult for the Nandamuri family, especially Tarak and Kalyan Ram. All eyes were on both the Nandamuri brothers even as they are yet to come to terms with the tragic passing of their father.
During their tough times and amidst the non-stop public and media attention, Tarak and Kalyan Ram might have longed for some privacy to grieve their personal loss. Tarak’s good friend and actor Manchu Manoj acted as a bouncer and shielded their privacy.
Throughout Harikrishna’s last rites, Manoj was mostly seen behind NTR and Kalyan Ram, protecting them from strangers and the media who were eager to meet them and expresses their condolences or take their exclusive audio and video bytes.
Manoj and NTR share the same date of birth. Their friendship dates back to three decades. Manoj also urged everyone to fulfill Harikrishna’s last wish and donate for the flood-hit Kerala. Needless to say that both Manchu and Nandamuri fans are appreciating Manoj for his touching gesture.
TRS mega rally on Sunday amid talk of early polls
Hyderabad: Amid strong indications of early elections in Telangana, the ruling TRS is all set to hold a massive show of strength here on Sunday.Billed as the mother of all rallies, it will be preceded by a meeting of the state cabinet, which is likely to take a decision on the early polls.
Leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will take “key decisions” at the cabinet meeting and announce them at the public meeting.The cabinet may pass a resolution to dissolve the Assembly and recommend this to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan. If the Election Commission agrees, the polls may be held in December along with the elections in three other states.
For last few weeks, RAO had been dropping hints of assembly elections being advanced. He has already declared that the party will announce the candidates in September.KCR, as Rao is popularly known, is keen to advance the assembly polls by six months to avoid simultaneous elections to the Assembly and the Parliament.
His two meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August further added to the speculation.KCR’s son and cabinet minister K.T. Rama Rao said the Chief Minister would take a final decision on early polls. Rama Rao, who is number two in the party and the government, is confident of TRS retaining power whenever the elections are held as the party enjoys full support of the people.
Titled “Pragati Nivedana”, the meeting to be held at Kongara Kalan at Ibrahimpatnam on the city outskirts is expected to attract 25 lakh people. Rama Rao claims that this will be the biggest political rally in the country.According to him, TRS has 47 lakh members and if half of them turn up, the meet would be a huge success. TRS leaders are mobilising people for the meet from across the state.
Arrangements were in full swing for the meeting amid allegations by the Congress and other opposition parties that TRS was misusing official machinery. They asked TRS to explain the source of funds for the event.The massive mobilisation of people is expected to hit the traffic on Outer Ring Road (ORR) as thousands of vehicles will be heading towards the venue from different entry points along ORR. Rama Rao has suggested to people not attending the meeting to stay indoors.
Hyderabad High Court, while rejecting a petition to bar the meet, directed the organisers to ensure that inconvenience to public is minimised.TRS has turned the city and outskirts pink by putting up billboards, flags and posters.
First look: Ravi Babu’s ‘Adhugo’
Actor and director Ravi Babu is coming up with a huge experimental film titled ‘Adhugo.’ This film features a piglet in the lead role and the first look poster is unveiled.The first look basically has the piglet which introduces itself as Bunty and it’s quite cute hanging to a wooden fencing.
‘Adhugo’ is an action comedy movie aimed for the family audience and kids. The makers have used 3D animation technology to showcase the piglet in a realistic way.As the subject of the film is universal, the producers are dubbing ‘Adhugo’ in all Indian languages and for the rest of the versions, the film is titled ‘Bunty.’
Ravi Babu also has produced the film while noted producer Suresh Babu is presenting ‘Adhugo’ under Suresh Productions banner.Apart from the piglet, the film also stars Abhishek Varma and Nabha in the lead roles. Prashanth Vihari is composing music. Expected for Dussehra release.
Telangana: Rumours of Early Elections Gather Steam
Going by the speculations doing rounds in the media circles, Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao might go in for dissolution of the state assembly on September 2 itself, on the same day when his party is holding a massive public meeting at Kongara Kalan on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The speculations were triggered from an official communication from the Chief Minister’s Office on Friday evening that the state cabinet would meet at 2 pm on September 2, a couple of hours before the commencement of the mega public meeting.
The cabinet is expected to take a decision on dissolution of the assembly, apart from other important policy decisions.
“From the cabinet meeting, KCR and his ministers straightaway come to the public meeting, where he will announce in public about his decision to dissolve the assembly and go for early polls. He will get their approval in the form of cheers and then announce a number of decisions taken for the welfare and development of the state at the meeting,” a source said.
Soon after the public meeting, KCR will return to Hyderabad and rush to Raj Bhavan to submit the cabinet decision to dissolve the Telangana assembly to Governor E S L Narasimhan.
He will approve the same and send it to the Election Commission the following day, sources added.
Aravindha Sametha Not to Be Postponed
Putting an end to speculations that director Trivikram has postponed the release of ‘Aravindha Sametha’, NTR has decided to start shooting for the film from Saturday itself.
Though he is still mourning the death of his father, NTR doesn’t want Trivikram and his producer worrying about the shoot of his movie.
He will now shoot for ‘Aravindha Sametha’ from Saturday nonstop. Except for the Dasa Dina Karma, he will not be taking leave for this shoot till the completion of the movie.
“Aravindha Sametha” has major portions to be completed. Director Trivikram has chalked out a plan to complete the entire shoot by September end.
Though producer Radhakrishna came forward to postpone the movie, NTR agreed to come to the shoot immediately.
So, the romantic action drama that stars NTR and Pooja Hegde will be on the course for release on October 10/11.
It is the last Tollywood biggie this year to come to the screens.
Paper Boy Movie Review
Geetha Arts bagging the distribution rights of a small budget film has grabbed the attention of trade and film lovers. Is Paper Boy worth the attention? Let’s analyze…
Story:
Ravi (Santosh) is a paper boy who is madly in love with a rich girl named Dharani (Riya) waits for years to just have a glance at her. Dharani also reciprocates his love after knowing him. Her parents approve their love after initial reluctance. But trouble begins when her brothers enter the scene. Can the love pair come together against all odds?
Performances:
Santosh Shoban is a fine talent. He not only suits the character but also does justice to it. Riya Suman is okay. Tanya Hope has little role to play. Mahesh Vitta as hero’s friend offers some fun. Bittiri Sathi’s comedy with Vidyullekha will appeal to the masses. Annapurna also adds a bit of humor to the proceedings. Rest of the star cast mostly consists of newcomers and not so popular faces except Posani who appears in a cameo.
Technicalities:
Jayashankar does a fine job in presenting this story in a classy way. His direction is reminiscent of Karunakaran’s style, which works in the romantic scenes. He is also good at handling the emotions and melodrama.
Story by Sampath Nandi is as old as Nandi hills. He must have been aware of the cliches which is why he puts in extra efforts to narrate it in a different manner. The screenplay format is similar to that of Shivamani film directed by Puri Jagan. Dialogues are impressive. Music is also good though there aren’t any catchy songs. Cinematography is an asset and the production values are commendable. It doesn’t seem like a low budget film in any frame. Even the scenes shot in slums are colorful and vibrant. Production design team needs a special mention for selecting best locations.

Analysis:
Paper Boy has a familiar plot of rich girl falling for a poor boy. The old plot is told in a poetic way with lot of aesthetic sense. Paper Boy scores on the visual front with superb technical values. Not many low budget films can be as colorful as this one. Sampath Nandi and co. should be lauded for not compromising on the quality of the film. Sadly, good visuals aren’t enough for a film to click. A film of this scale should have captivating story and arresting screenplay.
Story is basic without any novelty and screenplay moves at a snail’s pace, making it a tedious watch. There is a deliberate attempt of not resorting to violence, which is appreciable. However, there are episodes of so-called comedy that don’t fit into this film. Comedy tracks on Mahesh Vitta and Bittiri Satti are over the top and totally out of place. Satti’s comedy comes at a crucial juncture when the drama thickens. It turned out to be a very bad idea as it anyway didn’t yield desired results.
First half is passable with budding romance and meaningful conversations between the lead pair. Intermission establishes a small conflict that doesn’t play any major role in the post intermission scenes. The story enters familiar territory in the second half that leads to a melodramatic ending. The much needed chemistry between the lead pair is absent throughout the film. Heroine’s Brothers who enter the scene with huge buildup resorts to television serial like blackmailing to break the romance.
Good visuals, involving background score and a talented lead man are the positives of Paper Boy. But old plot with a predictable ending wouldn’t impress many. The film is neither entertaining nor path breaking. It simply tries to play safe by ticking many boxes that are essential for a commercial film. The makers should have had a target audience in their minds and make a film that appeals to them. Trying to win marks from different sections with a film like this one isn’t a smart move after all.
Verdict: Outdated Love Story.
Kaushal Army angry over Geetha

Towards the end of ‘Murder Mystery’ task, Roll Rida (Police) & Ganesh (detective) falsely identified Tanish as culprit for the murders in House and declared his name to Bigg Boss. Later, Bigg Boss revealed that it is Geetha Madhuri, but not Tanish, who killed five others in House. As Geetha finished secret task flawlessly and wasn’t caught, Bigg Boss congratulated her also asked to nominate one person who will be in nominations for this whole season.
In no time, the popular singer mentioned that she wants to nominate ‘Kaushal’. And she gave a reasoning to it saying ‘he has got Kaushal Army, let us make use of it.’ Also, while speaking to Kaushal, Geetha told that her pick was all part of the game as he always used to say. For executing the secret task successfully, Geetha Madhuri is not in the nominations for this week.
But, nominating Kaushal for entire season has eventually triggered furious response from his fans- which is widely popular as ‘Kaushal Army’. However, they’re confident that they can save him for rest of this season as the ‘elimination fight’ is no new thing for Kaushal.
It’s clear from last couple of weeks that both Kaushal and Geetha Madhuri weren’t good to each other and involved in some serious altercations earlier. Eventually, all of them could be the reasons for Geetha’s decision.
Accident Victims Request to Nandamuri Family
The entire attention has been around the Nandamuri family, following the tragic passing of Harikrishna in a terrible car accident on August 29th. Harikrishna’s car was reportedly speeding at 160 kmph when it hit another car that was traveling ahead.
Three young photographers from Hyderabad – Praveen, Siva and Bhargav, were returning from Chennai when their car (AP31 AE 9000) was hit by Harikrishna’s Toyota Fortuner. The three youngsters were injured badly in the accident.
The accident victims are now requesting the government and the Nandamuri family to help them cover their hospital expenses. “We are from poor families and we can’t afford the medical expenses. But nobody is bothered about us,” lamented the young photographers. On the day of the accident, Chandrababu Naidu visited them and wished them a speedy recovery.
Vijay Deverakonda Creates Non-Baahubali Record
Vijay Deverakonda is a rage in Tamilnadu as well. The young handsome actor’s popularity in Tamilnadu state is increasing. “Geetha Govindam” is a smash hit there.
According to Tamil trade analysts, the film grossed more than Rs 5 Cr in Tamilnadu so far setting new record for a Telugu film. It is non-Baahubali record, declared a trade analyst.
“#GeethaGovindam is a non-Baahubali record holder in TN, grossing more than 5 CR in the state. Unexpected, undisputed blockbuster!,” he tweeted.
The film was not dubbed into Tamil language. The Telugu version has grossed such massive collection.
Vijay Deverakonda’s “Arjun Reddy” was watched by Tamil youth. The craze that he got from that cult love story helped him immensely.
After Mahesh Babu, Vijay Deverakonda is the only Telugu hero who has such huge collection in Tamilnadu.

Colors Swathi got married to her pilot boyfriend Vikas last night in Hyderabad in a simple ceremony.
Celebrities generally go for lavish wedding celebrations but Colors Swathi preferred a low-key ceremony. No Tollywood celebrity attended. Only close friends and family members were invited by her.
It was Swathi’s idea that the wedding celebrations should not be flashy and lavish. Vikash is a commercial pilot. The reception will be held in Kochi on September 2.
Swathi said she would not quit acting. She would continue doing Tamil and Malayalam movies.
