KCR Eyeing 50% Seemandhra Votes

KCR is confident of TRS improving its performance in Hyderabad in the ensuing Assembly polls to be held on December 7.
KCR is convinced that about 20 lakh votes of Seemandhra people in Hyderabad out of a total of 40 lakh would vote for TRS in Assembly polls and that TRS would bag the majority of the seats this time.
KCR’s calculation is based on a survey done by two independent agencies.
The survey revealed that 90 per cent of the Seemandhra people are happy with the functioning of TRS government and also with KCR for ensuring their safety and security during the past four and half years.
However, half of the Seemandhra voters want to vote for TDP-Congress combine because they want the party of their region (TDP) to be their voice in Telangana Legislative Assembly.
The survey revealed that Seemandhra settlers voted one-side for TRS in GHMC elections, because with GHMC elections, there would not be any change in government in Telangana but when it comes to the crucial Assembly polls, they want their party (TDP) to be a partner in Congress-led government and even if Mahakutami did not form the government, they want their party MLAs to raise their voice in Assembly.
Though the survey results were a tad discouraging, TRS and KCR are reportedly enthused as they hope that 20 lakh Seemandhra votes for TRS would fetch better results for TRS when compared with 2014 elections.
In 2014 elections, the TDP-BJP combine bagged 14 out of 24 seats in Hyderabad GHMC limits, while TRS got only three and MIM bagged 7.
Assuming that MIM will repeat its performance, KCR hopes to win around 10 to 12 seats in Hyderabad by winning 50% of the Seemandhra vote share. He has entrusted his son KTR with the responsibility for wooing the Seemandhra voters.
KTR has been holding special meetings with Seemandhra settlers in Hyderabad for the past one week, holding roadshows and assuring them that only TRS would ensure their safety and security in Hyderabad while TDP is trying to divide people based on regions with a conspiracy to damage the development and image of Hyderabad.
‘Small Modi’: Chandrababu Naidu’s Jibe At KCR

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu Thursday dubbed ruling TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao as “small Modi”, alleging he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were ‘cheating’ people.
“There is one big Modi in Delhi and small Modi here in the form of KCR (as Rao is popularly known). People are scared of the duo. Both are cheating people,” he said referring to “unfulfilled” electoral promises made by them.
Addressing a road show in Hyderabad as part of campaigning for the Congress-led four-party People’s Front for the December 7 Telangana assembly polls, he also claimed whoever posed questions to PM Modi would be subjected to searches by the CBI or the Income Tax department or the Enforcement Directorate.
PM Modi was destroying constitutional bodies, he said.
“A situation is emerging where there is no democracy. I cannot keep quiet. That is why me and Congress decided to work together to save democracy,” Mr Naidu, whose party is part of the front, said. He claimed that the TDP was the brain behind the development of Hyderabad and Telangana, saying ‘Cyberabad (IT district in Hyderabad) was his brainchild and he had brought software giants like Microsoft.
Earlier, talking to reporters, the TDP supremo defended joining hands with the Congress, saying they had no ideological differences with the Rahul Gandhi-led party.
Mr Naidu, who shared the dais with Gandhi at a couple of campaign meetings Wednesday in the state, said there was a democratic compulsion for non-BJP parties to come on a single platform.
The Congress has roped in the TDP, CPI and M Kodandaram-led Telangana Jana Samithi to form the People’s Front to take on the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti in the assembly polls.
Chandrababu Naidu, who snapped ties with the BJP-led NDA earlier this year on the issue of special category status to Andhra Pradesh, said the BJP had no chance of winning any of the five states which were presently under various stages of the election process.
“Modi disappointed the nation. People trusted him so much… But he disappointed the nation. Everybody is living under pressure and tension. It is very bad for the nation that they are misusing institutions like CBI, ED and Income Tax,” he claimed.
On the proposed meeting of non-BJP parties on December 10, Chandrababu Naidu said there would be no formal invitation to any party.
On being asked who would lead the anti-BJP coalition, he said, there were efficient people and able administrators who would take the role.
“Who is Narendra Modi? Till 2014 he was just a chief minister. He was able to lead (his party to a win). Now there are efficient people and able administrators. They will lead. We will bring a consensus on that,” he said.
Mr Naidu, who has been meeting leaders of various opposition parties in the recent weeks, ruled himself out of the race for prime ministership.
“I am not in the race for prime ministership… I’ve said many times. I am not expecting any position or any incentive out of this initiative,” he said.
The TDP chief asserted that the People’s Front was going to win the coming polls and form the government in Telangana.
At the roadshow, Mr Naidu said the TDP was committed to the development of Telangana and he had no intention of entering into the state politics and would confine himself to Andhra Pradesh.

#2.O: Meet the real BIRDMAN of India

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has become the talking point post the release of ‘2.0’. His performance as ‘BIRDMAN’ is being highly hailed by audience and critics. An insight about his character reveals that Akshay’s role is inspired from a real life personality.
He is renowned Indian ornithologist and naturalist, Salim Ali. Popularly known as “Birdman of India,” Salim Ali was among the first Indians to conduct systematic bird surveys across the country and also penned many journals on birds. Several species of birds, a couple of bird sanctuaries and institutions were named after Salim Ali.
There is a lot more then said about Salim Ali and his contribution towards ornithology is really commendable. In the year 1985, he wrote his autobiography ‘The Fall of Sparrow’ which was widely read back them. In 1987, Salim Ali breathed his last due to cancer.
If Salim Ali was alive, he would have expressed his anger over the extinction of birds with radiation. The writer of 2.0′ Jayamohan had said that how would Salim Ali react to the adverse effects of latest technology and accordingly the character of Pakshi Raja is penned. Initially universal hero Kamal Haasan was approached for the role as it is quite emotional. But as Kamal declined, the role went Akshay’s way.
Nevertheless saluting this amazing personality.

TDP MLA To Jump Into Janasena?

Ex Minister and TDP’s sitting MLA from Prathpadu constituency in Guntur district, Ravela Kishore Babu, is rumoured to be jumping into Janasena. Strong buzz doing the rounds that unhappy Ravela would cross over to Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena. Ravela has been upset that he is being ignored by party. He has been inactive and unresponsive in TDP for a while and staying away from party activities and government works.
Apparently, Ravela had met Pawan couple of times and his entry into Janasena is almost confirmed. It is learnt that Pawan Kalyan has given green signal to Ravela’s entry into his party. One has to wait and see, if Ravela joins Janasena or not.
Ravela who won on TDP in 2014 was made Social Welfare minister in Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet. Due to some circumstances, Ravela was put out of the cabinet. Since then, Ravela has been disappointed.
Earlier, Ravela’s son Ravela Susheel was booked for allegedly molesting a 20-year-old teacher in Banjara Hills. Ravela’s son and driver were booked for passing lewd comments and molesting the woman in 2016.
‘Target Reliance’- Pawan Done The Right Thing?

Jana Sena Founder Pawan Kalyan said that he doesn’t fear India’s top businessmen like Mukesh Ambani and added that he will order an enquiry into the exploitation of oil resources in Krishna Godavari Basin by Reliance. He also alleged that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy have not questioned RIL about its over-use of oil resources.
“Either Chandrababu, Lokesh and Jagan fear Ambani or they are also part of the scam,” Pawan Kalyan alleged. Taking on RIL, he questioned the Oil giant for closing down its oil and gas discovery recently, after exploiting resources in the KG Basin for 10 years – from 2008 to 2018.
Quoting the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report of 2015, Pawan said that CAG report states that there were irregularities in payments to contracts for drilling well in the KG-D6 field. In 2017, the Oil & Gas Ministry raised a compensation claim, there has been no progress on it.
“The compensation to recover nearly $1.1 billion has to be sought from RIL. Further, RIL has deprived the Godavari region of jobs. Whether it is Mukesh Ambani or anyone, Jana Sena will fight for the people,” Pawan added. The Jana Senani also slammed the Prime Minister for overlooking such a huge issue that has deprived AP of natural resources. “If we form the government in 2019, we will hold Mukesh Ambani responsible for RIL’s follies,” he said.
Political observers say that Jana Sena Chief struck the right chord with people by raising such a crucial issue. Several Chief Ministers have neglected this issue. While the deal was struck during Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s regime despite opposition to it by several parties in united Andhra Pradesh, Pawan has done the right thing by highlighting this issue, they opine. After raising an alarm on the Kidney diseases epidemic in Uddanam on which the state government was forced to act, this issue of RIL’s exploitation of KG Basin will surely win Jana Sena brownie points.

Rakul Wants to Dig Who’s Lying On #MeToo!

#MeToo seems to have cooled down a bit these days with less number of allegations lately. Though singer like Chinmayi are facing brickbats and bans after shooting and supporting #MeToo allegations at big heads in Tamil film industry, there are actors like Rakul Preet who claim to have never faced those embarrassing situations.
Rakul Preet earlier said that it is fortunate that she was never offered or asked for a casting couch. A small time actress’ allegation against her are heard to have hurt her but Rakul chose not to respond. But she is very much following the allegations and revelations that have been bringing up big names in the industry and like many of us, she too is be confused and curious on whose “MeToo” stories are true.
In her recent rapid fire interview for a famous magazine, when asked what she would do if she could be invisible for 24 hours, Rakul gave an interesting answer. She said she would be digging out who’s lying and who’s not about their #MeToo experiences.
That is an inquisitive side of Rakul, yet she will never be knowing about lies and facts of #MeToo stories and we all know why!
BJP Makes Fancy Promises In Telangana!

Bharatiya Janata Party, which hardly has the chances of winning even half a dozen seats in the ongoing elections in Telangana, has come out with a manifesto with less than a week for the closure of campaigning.
In the manifesto released by state BJP president K Laxman on Thursday, the party has promised farm loan waiver up to Rs two lakh, free laptops to degree students, regulation of liquor sale and free distribution of cows to one lakh people every year.
It also promised a legislation to prevent “forcible religious conversions” made by offering money and other inducements. Steps would be taken to send back Rohingyas and those who “illegally entered” from Bangladesh, it said.
The manifesto also promised free distribution of quality seeds and free bore or well or a pumpset to every farmer. Alongside free laptops to degree students, the manifesto said girl students from seventh standard to 10th standard will get free cycles. Girl students of degree and above courses will get ‘scooties’ (two-wheelers) with 50 per cent subsidy. It also promised free houses to all eligible poor by 2022.
Similarly, financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per month would be paid towards rent till the construction of such houses, it said.
In addition to implementation of the NDA government’s ‘Ayushman Bharat’ health scheme, the manifesto promised steps to set up generic medicine centres in every mandal (administrative unit).
The unemployed youth will get unemployment dole of Rs 3,116 per month. For welfare of women, the manifesto promised provision of Rs one lakh and one ‘tola’ (about 12 grams) gold to poor women at the time of marriage under ‘Sowbhagya Laxmi’ scheme.
The manifesto also promised subsidy to senior citizens for visiting Kailash Mansarovar, Kashi and Puri. Cows would be distributed free of cost every year at the time of festivals and other celebrations, the manifesto said.
Asserting that BJP would not see liquor sales as a source of revenue, the party promised regulation of sale of liquor. Restrictions would be imposed on the timings for its sale.
For law and order, surveillance cameras would be installed at vital places in large numbers across the state.
Congress Much Better Than BJP, Says Naidu!

After sailing with Bharatiya Janata Party for nearly four years, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has divorced it and allied with the Congress party.
Now, he feels the Congress party is much better than BJP in terms of administration and protection of democracy in the country.
The TDP president, who has been conducting electioneering in Telangana for the last two days, had an informal interaction with select media persons at Park Hyatt on Thursday morning.
He spent over an hour with them, feeling nostalgic about his earlier stint and his association with Hyderabad media.
Naidu said there was no scope for freedom of expression in Telangana as well as at the national level.
“Both the TRS and the BJP governments have suppressed the voice of the media and kept them under control. Genuine media people are not able to raise their voice and if at all anybody raises, he is facing threat,” Naidu said.
Naidu said the situation has turned so much worse during the Modi regime that he was also hesitating to talk freely over his mobile phone.
“The Modi government has been intimidating everybody who speaks against it. There is no development, no freedom and no happiness in the country. During the Congress regime, there was no such a situation,” he said.
Naidu also found fault with Modi for attacking Sonia and Rahul in a heckling tone.
“This is not correct. You have to be humble and modest as you grow up in life. You should not stoop down to make comments that are below your dignity,” he said.
Asked to rate Rahul Gandhi, he said, “You have heard his speeches yesterday (in Hyderabad). What did you feel?”
He replied in affirmative when asked if Rahul would listen to his guidance and suggestions.
