Where’s Pawan & Jagan’s Donation to Kerala Relief?
The who’s who of Tollywood has extended its much-needed support to Kerala state that’s going through the war-like situation after the incessant floods created a great havoc and disrupted the public life. Several socialites, business honchos and politicians too have already made their contributions to Kerala CM Relief Fund in this much-needeed situation. However, two major politicians from AP, YS Jagan and Pawan Kalyan remain tight lipped about their contributions to Kerala Relief.
Jagan himself courted a self goal when he tweeted on Kerala floods asking the Centre to support the state in the testing times. The comments poured in on Jagan’s tweet have put him in tight spot as people asked him to contribute first to Kerala. Especially many of Pawan fans have targeted Jagan over not doing anything to Vizag during Hudhud and now to Kerala.
Unhappy with the criticism, Jagan’s team has shot back on Pawan’s fans asking Pawan to donate to Kerala instead of roaming in the special charted flights. While the whole Mega clan – from Allu Arjun to Ram Charan to Chiranjeevi – has made its contributions public, PK is still silent on his contribution. This has come as a shot in arm for Jagan’s fans who are taking on Pawan. And Pawan fans in return giving befitting counter to Jagan asking him to donate from his illegal/disproportionate assets. This war between the fans of YCP and Janasena are causing great embarrassment to both Pawan and Jagan who are yet to make a formal announcement on their donation to Kerala Relief. Let’s wait and see
Geetha Govindam Girl Hikes Her Remuneration !
With two back-to-back blockbusters – Chalo and Geetha Govindam – in hand, Rashmika Mandanna has emerged as one of the most sought-after heroines in Telugu. Many in industry are wanting to sign Rashmika considering her talent and success spree. Her Kannada background is also coming in handy for many to rope in Rashmika as Kannada is similar to Telugu and easy to understand.
Given all these, Rashmika said to have increased her fee. And industry insiders say that she has almost doubled her remuneration. As per the industry, Rashmika is now expecting over half-crore as her fee.
While she is charging her old fee for already signed films Devadas and Dear Comrade, she would be demanding more pay from the new projects that are coming her way. Interestingly, makers are also keen to pay Rashmika the increased fee and sign her. As she is hoping to get more busy in Telugu and took some break in Kannada, looks like, she would be signing more Telugu films in near future.
Sam Recommends him for Manmadudu -2
Samantha and Rahul Ravindran are close friends. Rahul’s wife Chinmayi used to dub to Sam and played key role in Sam’s success. Looks like, Sam hasn’t forgotten her roots and wants to do her best to Chinmayi and her hubby Rahul.
After playing her part well in Chi La Sow and helping to bring Annapurna Studios onboard for the film, Sam now reportedly recommended Rahul to her mama Nagarjuna. It is learnt that Rahul is keen to do Manmadhudu 2 for Nag and Sam too said to be strongly vouching for him.
Nag & co have recently registered the title Manmadhudu 2 in the Film Chamber. This is now garnering interest. As Nag wants to do the sequel for his blockbuster Manmadhudu that released 16 years ago, one has to wait and see whether Nag would really dare to opt for Rahul as director for the much-awaited sequel. Since Akkineni fans are riding high expectations on the sequel for Manmadhudu that had the contribution of then-seniors like Vijay Bhaskar and Trivikram, we have to see what would be Nag’s final call.
Casting Couch: Rx100 Heroine Asked To ‘Compromise’
Punjabi beauty Paayal Rajput’s role and her impressive performance have played a crucial role in the blockbuster success of RX100. Paayal has signed two crazy projects soon after RX100’s release. However, despite gaining accolades and a dream debut, Paayal had fallen prey to the murky casting couch menace in Tollywood.
In a latest interview, Paayal revealed her shocking casting couch experience. “Even after RX100’s success, I was shocked to be approached by a shady producer who asked me if I was willing to ‘compromise’ for a role. I rebuked him and asked him to get out of my sight,” Paayal revealed.
Paayal wondered if her bold role in RX100 was the reason for people to think that way. “I am from North invite and I am not shy. That doesn’t mean that I will kiss everyone. I didn’t come to the industry for that,” she said.
Trivikram-NTR’s Aravinda Sametha Teaser 2?
The teaser of NTR and Trivikram has projected the mass side of NTR like never before. Set against the faction backdrop in Rayalaseema, NTR seen as Veera Raghava in the first teaser has given a full treat to his hardcore fans. But family audiences who are base for Trivikram are a little worried lot. A few have openly expressed that Trivikram’s mark is missing in the film. Considering these reactions, NTR and Trivikram are toying with the idea of releasing the second teaser for the film.
Apparently, NTR too wanted Trivikram to unveil the second teaser and Trivikram is reportedly on same page with Tarak. Of late, every big film is releasing multiple teasers. While the first teaser if the film are solely aiming at the protagonist, the second teaser showcases other cast as well. These are more like character introduction teasers. The similar strategy was followed for Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam. After the first teaser saw Charan stealing the show, the second teaser has Samantha.
Similarly, NTR and Trivikram are contemplating to unveil the second teaser for Aravinda Sametha. Since the title itself has Aravinda, all eyes are now on how Trivikram’s Aravinda will look like. Though it’s common knowledge that Pooja Hegde is playing the role of Aravinda, Trivikram is yet to showcase her look. And the second teaser is expected to show the lighter side of the film with Trivikram’s mark.
Geetha Govindam Director Hits Jackpot
Parasuram is on cloud nine with his latest film Geetha Govindam turning out to be a mega blockbuster.Puri’s protégé, who made debut as director in 2008 with the film Yuvatha, had to wait for ten years to score the first big hit.
He is currently being chased by many producers who are offering big money to sign a deal with him.Geetha Govindam has not only given him the big break career wise but also has given him huge monetary benefits too.
As per inside news, Parasuram didn’t take any remuneration for Geetha Govindam. He was given twenty percent share in profits by the producers. He has hit a jackpot given the film’s grand success.The estimated profits for the producers will be around Rs. 20 crore. So Parasuram will be getting at least Rs. 4 crore as his share.
It could go even higher if the film exceeds the expectations. This is huge amount given his track record. It would have been around Rs. 1 crore had he settled for remuneration.He took the risk of not getting a single rupee by opting for profit sharing and is now smiling all the way to the bank.
‘Mega’ Donation: Mother To Son, All For Kerala
The state of Kerala continues to remain a victim of nature’s fury. Nearly 367 people have lost their lives and over a lakh people have been homeless for to the flash floods and incessant rains that have been wreaking havoc for the last two weeks.
Lending a helping hand to the Kerala flood victims now is the Mega family. An official announcement has come in which revealed that Chiranjeevi’s mother Anjana Devi has donated 1 lakh. Also, Chiru donated Rs 25 lakhs and Ram Charan contributed 25 lakhs. Upasana has supplied medicines and provisions worth Rs 10 lakhs.
Meanwhile, generous donations and supply of relief material have been pouring in from lakhs of Indians, foreigners and state governments. Even several celebrities from all the major film industries across the country have chipped in with there contributions.
3 ‘Million Dollar Films’ For Vijay Deverakonda
Vijay Deverakonda’s craze at the box offices in the US and both the Telugu speaking states is leaving Tollywood mesmerized. His latest film ‘Geetha Govindam’ has grossed the USD 1 million mark in the US on Saturday and that too in just 3 days.
With Geetha Govindam, Vijay has scored his third USD 1 million movie after Pellichoopulu and Arjun Reddy. He has even put behind top stars like Prabhas and Ram Charan who have only 2 $1 million movies.
Vijay’s next target will be Mahesh Babu (8 $1 million movies), Pawan Kalyan (5), NTR (5), Nani (5) and Allu Arjun (3). Meanwhile, Geetha Govindam is racing towards the USD 2 million mark, which will be a first time feat for Vijay. While Pellichoopulu concluded its run after grossing USD 1.23M, Arjun Reddy had grossed USD 1.78M in its full run.
