‘KCR Will Eclipse Anti-Incumbency Against T Leaders’
HYDERABAD: As the Telangana Rashtra Samithi or the TRS tries to retain power in Telangana, interim chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s son, KT Rama Rao has said the anti-incumbency sentiment against some leaders will not affect the party’s prospects in assembly poll as it will be “eclipsed” by the image of his father.
Insisting that the people will cast “decisive votes” as they are aware of the TRS government’s development work, Mr Rao said the party is banking on his father and his vision to come to power again with a thumping majority of 100 seats in 119-member assembly polls.
Popularly known as KTR, 42-year-old Rao is contesting for the third time from Sircilla constituency, located 140 km from Hyderabad, in the December 7 assembly elections. He had won in 2014 assembly polls with over 53,000 votes against a Congress candidate.
In an exclusive interview to PTI, Mr Rao said, “People realise that this is the election where KCR (as the chief minister is popularly known as) gets elected as chief minister. For that to happen, they have to vote for MLAs. Whatever anti-incumbency or dissatisfaction that could be against incumbent MLAs, that will be eclipsed by KCR.”
He said the Opposition has been pointing out “blemishes” in the TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samiti) manifesto, but the people have to decide finally.
“You can look at the moon and point out the brightness it exudes. You can also point out the small blemishes the moon has. So, the Opposition always has to point out the blemishes in our manifesto and those promises that our party has not fulfilled,” Mr Rao added.
Exuding confidence that people will cast a “decisive votes”, Mr Rao who is one of the most popular faces in the state and a potential successor of K Chandrashekar Rao, said let people judge TRS’ performance and vote.
He said that the party has laid a strong foundation in the state, but admitted there were some issues in implementing all its promises.
“There are going to be issues. But we already have a foot in the elections and we are going on polls on December 7. Let them (Opposition) give their agenda and we will give ours. Let people decide. We believe we played a strong foundation,” he said.
Asked if the TRS was depending on KCR’s image to retain power, Mr Rao said, “We are banking on good governance by KCR. We are banking on pro-poor policies of TRS. We are banking on a combination of welfare and development which never been seen in any state.”
On Former finance minister P Chidambaram’s allegation that Telangana chief minister has failed to deliver the goods and left behind Rs. 2.20 lakh crore debt on the people, Mr Rao said, “Mr Chidambaram being a learned man should not mislead people. We donot need Chidambaram’s certificate. We don’t need Congress party’s certificate. We need certificate from the people.”
The state debt to GDP ratio is 22 per cent that is lower than the country’s average and than that of many other states, he added.
Mr Rao also ruled out power tussle within the family and said his father will be chief minister for next 10-15 years.
On the party’s promise of offering 1 lakh government jobs, the TRS leader said, “We have filled 38,000 posts. Let me remind you, this is the highest number any government has filled in the past. The previous government has filled on an average 9,000 jobs annually.”
He further said that the ‘Rythu Bandhu Scheme’ was a revolutionary scheme lauded by the UN as well as renowned farm scientist M S Swaminathan and chief economic advisor Arvind Subramanian but the Opposition was finding “loopholes”.
“I pity their intellectual bankruptcy. …These jokers (Congress and TDP) who ruled us for 70 years could not conceive a programme like this,” he said.
The TRS leader further said that the party has turned a power-deficit state into a power-surplus state, irrigation projects are near 90 per cent completion and the state government has brought 38 lakh hectare under irrigation.
Stating that farmers’ suicides are declining rapidly in the state, Rao said, “Union Minister of State for Agriculture Purshottam Rupala has said it on record on the floor of Parliament that 1500 or 1600, subject to correction, farmers suicides have come down by 54 per cent last year to 645. We also want to see a situation in Telangana that there are zero farmers’ suicides.”
Asked about the Opposition’s allegation that the TRS was becoming a party of Reddy community as half of the candidates fielded by it belong to that caste, Mr Rao said these are baseless allegations.
“We do not divide communities in Telangana based on caste, creed or religion,” he said. (PTI)
Romantic Bunny Sets The Bar High For Trivikram
Allu Arjun is hell bent on doing a romantic entertainer as his next film. After doing some heavy duty action films like Sarrainodu, DJ and Naa Peru Surya, the Stylish star is looking to break the monotony by doing a love story.
He is seriously considering remaking Tamil hit 96 according to industry buzz.
He himself pitched the idea of remake Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety with Trivikram. But that didn’t materialize as the original producers wanted to co-produce it in Telugu.
Currently, Trivikram is working on an original script according to Bunny’s preferences.
He wants to do a love story that will be etched in the memories forever. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is watching romantic classics for ‘inspirational’ purposes.
He watched DDLJ again after 23 years and felt the highest magic moment of his life.
“Tuje Dekha tho ye jana sanam … ❤️ I felt the highest magic moment of my Life when I watched it in 1995… and today after 23years I watched it again , and I felt that same magic n that love in my deepest heart . Highest cinematic moment of my life then , now n Forever ❤️ #ddlj #srk #kajol #srkajol #yrf #yashchopra #tujedekhatoyejanasanam” wrote Allu Arjun on his Instagram.
He has clearly set the bar very high for Trivikram who has a serious job on hands.
Dil Raju Working with Tamil Director
Dil Raju who has bought the remake rights of recent Tamil runaway hit “96” featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha has opened a new office.
He has roped in the original movie director C Prem Kumar to direct the Telugu version as well and have given him a posh new office to work without any worries and with all the luxuries.
Buzz is that the Tamil director is getting everything he wants from Dil Raju.
While Dil Raju is planning to rope in Samantha for the movie, the Tamil director has proposed to take in Trisha who has played the role in the original movie with great élan.
Dil Raju will take final call whether to go with Samantha or Trisha when male lead actor gets finalized.
As per media reports, Allu Arjun has expressed his interest to act in this remake but he is still dodging on to take a final decision.
“96” the movie that is all about love and memories won great praise from critics and film lovers. The feel-good romantic drama perfectly suits for Dil Raju’s banner.
If Allu Arjun doesn’t agree to act in, Dil Raju might choose an upcoming youngster, say reports.

Also the makers will shortly announce the trailer and audio launch dates.
‘Kavacham’ is directed by a debutant Sreenivas Mamilla, the teaser released sometime back got a good response with hero Sreenivas stealing the show as a dynamic police officer.
Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and Harshavardhan Rane are playing important roles in this flick which has music of SS Thaman and cinematography by Chota K Naidu.
Naveen Sontineni has produced ‘Kavacham.’
Behind The Scene: Bhavya, Beer, Biryani..
Bhavya Ananda Prasad is the TDP candidate for Serilingampally and he has also been entrusted with the campaigning responsibility for Kukatpally from where Suhasini, the daughter of Nandamuri Harikrishna is contesting.
For those who are willing to campaign for the Maha Kutami in Kukatpally and Serilingampally, Ananda Prasad batch is offering a thousand rupees a day, quarter of whiskey and biryani of course.
All that needs to be done is go around the two constituencies the whole day with the TDP flag in tow. (Petrol will be paid for too).
While the rules that an MLA candidate cannot spend more than Rs 28 lakh for his entire election campaign, the TDP is spending Rs 50 lakh a day in Kukatpally and Serilingampally.
Before Chandrababu Naidu came to power in 2014, he promised an allowance to unemployed youth and this promise has never seen the light of day.
However, at least in Telangana, it is nice to see his Party providing employment to the youth even though it is temporary.
Boyapati Not Leaving Catherine
Catherine Tresa has stunned as an audacious MLA in Boyapati and Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu. And surprisingly, the film did work at the Box Office. That luck sentiment seems to be helping Catherine at least in Boyapati’s films. She was later repeated in Boyapati and Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ Jaya Janaki Nayaka.
Now, Boyapati said to have roped in Catherine for a special item song in Ram Charan-starrer Vinaya Vidheya Rama. Catherine and Ram Charan are going to shake their legs for this special song composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Interestingly, Catherine was the initial choice for a special song in Ram Charan’s production and Chiru’s comeback Khaidi No. 150. But allegedly due to some differences with costume designer and Charan’s sister Sushmita, she was replaced and Raai Laxmi had been roped in by Lawrence for the song ‘Rathaalu Rathaalu’. That was the past. Amidst this backdrop, Boyapati has convinced Charan for a special song with Catherine.
Lokesh’s Entry Moves Chandrababu & Balayya?
It’s almost confirmed that Nara Lokesh will be contesting for the 2019 assembly elections. But which constituency does Lokesh prefer to contest is the million Dollar question. As per political circles, it is going to be Kuppam.
For the last three decades, Chandrababu is representing the constituency in the assembly and worked for its all-round development. Seems like he has made up his mind to sacrifice Kuppam for Lokesh. The AP IT minister has begun his work too and is frequently monitoring several developmental works in the constituency.
So then if Lokesh contests from Kuppam, where would Chandrababu go? The TDP appears to be going with a proper strategy and is planning to contest from Kalyan Durgam of Anantapur district. The AP CM can win from any constituency in the district considering the party’s strong presence and the cadre it has got.
By doing so Chandrababu is in thoughts to shift Hindupur MLA Balakrishna, to Godavari districts and eventually benefit the TDP. It will be a master stroke by Chandrababu to the oppositions, if this gives the desired results.
Varma’s Terrible Joke: Bomb Explodes On 7th
All these days, the single point agenda of veteran director Ram Gopal Varma is that his latest production venture “Bhairavageetha” is going to hit on heads with Rajnikanth’s “2 Point O”. While Rajni’s film is releasing on 29th, RGV’s venture is set for 30th release.
While Varma’s claims that this is a superb clash sounded like a joke, it took a new twist now, because the maverick director couldn’t get it released on the said date. Despite the fact that Abhishek Nama is backing this film by giving almost 250 theatres to it, the film is not releasing on the said date.
Varma himself revealed a moment ago, “Due to some censor related technical issues, Siddharth directed Bhairava Geetha is now releasing on December 7 th Election Day .. Please vote for #BhairavaGeetha”. So why is the clash averted?
Some say that the producers found it difficult to find theatres for the film, while few revealed that the film did not finish censor formalities yet. They stated that the film was given almost 40 cuts by the Censor Board and wrapping all that stuff will take at least two more days for the makers.
After all that hyped promotion, Varma’s joke sounds terrible!
I Didn’t Fear Modi, Who Is KCR – Chandrababu
With the war of words escalated in the backdrop of Telangana polls, Chandrababu Naidu too made interesting political comments on his rivals. Speaking at a public meeting in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said that he need not fear anybody as long as he is serving people and the country.
Naidu said Telugu states are his priority and development is his only agenda. “I did not fear Modi. Who is KCR?” said emotional Chandrababu. He said KCR has been abusing him on daily basis, but Naidu said he is bearing all those for the Telugu people.
“I had taken Bill Gates appointment with a great difficulty and had convinced him to set up Microsoft in Hyderabad back then. Outer Ring Road was approved by me. Cyberabad, Hitech City had become reality due to my vision and efforts. I was severely criticized for centering development in Hyderabad back then. But still I developed Hyderabad and had put it on global map, so that it would benefit entire Telugu community. Undoubtedly and unarguably, TDP has developed Hyderabad. But today, KCR is abusing me,” said Chandrababu.
Chandrababu said TRS should lose and Praja Kutami should win in Telangana for it to progress. He took potshots at YS Jagan and Pawan Kalyan for supporting TRS and BJP.
Low Budget Taxiwaala Reaches Big Milestone
Taxiwala, which is made on a moderate budget with the rising superstar Vijay Deverakonda has reached a big milestone at the box office.
The film has surpassed the Rs. 20 crore mark on Tuesday thus becoming the third film of Vijay Deverakonda to achieve this feat.
Rs. 20 crore isn’t big considering Vijay’s current market value, but given the limitations, leakages and the low budget, this is a huge achievement.
The film has collected almost thrice its investment from the theatricals. Thanks to Vijay’s stardom and the entertaining content, Taxiwala has become the only successful film post Geetha Govindam among straight films.
Vijay was caught in a strange situation post Geetha Govindam as a couple of his delayed films were due for release.
NOTA and Taxiwala were made on a low scale considering Vijay’s market prior to Geetha Govindam. He has become a bigger star now and films like NOTA and Taxiwala couldn’t do justice to his current stardom.
Thankfully, makers of Taxiwala didn’t try to cash in on Vijay’s stardom and milked the buyers. Instead, they had opted for own release and made handsome profits.
