One of the most awaited films of the year is none other than Superstar Rajnikanth and Shankar’s 2 Point O, which is releasing in close to 6800 theatres in a couple of days. And here goes the mood of cinema lovers who are expecting nothing less than a top range entertainment from the movie.

Inducing more budgets into their production, Shankar has made Lyca Productions spend almost 500 crores to make this epic possible. And that explains, there are a lot of visual effects, breathtaking scenes and mind blowing action episodes in the movie. But what will work more at the box office? Films with terrific visual effects alone never click, but they need a compelling story.

That is where every film lover is waiting with bated breath now. After watching films like Baahubali on the silver screen, people are in awe of a terrific story now. Going by the trailer of 2 Point O, the whole story is kept out in the open and if that has anything more to say is what helps the film. Basing on that, either the film ends up a big hit or else it will be a big mistake.

Though few hardcore fans of Rajni are comparing the film to Transformers franchise, we do know that visuals effects of those Hollywood films are in a different league altogether.

The story of Maharshi was actually constructed on the basis of friendship between Mahesh and Allari Naresh. But then, it took a huge turn where Mahesh comes back to the native village, visits his old friends, and to eradicate poverty from their lives he will be starting up organic cultivation and introduced modern methods of farming in that village. In this process, we hear that he will be taking lectures to people about certain things to follow when it comes to treating farmers.

Well, as ‘classes’ are working out well for this hero, surely Maharshi might become another potboiler at the box office. Let’s see!!

Evergreen beauty Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor who made a stunning debut with ‘Dhadak’ earlier this year, has disclosed many unknown details about her.

Jhanvi appeared on the popular talk show, Koffee with Karan which is in its sixth season. The rapidfire segment of the show, always grabs the attention and when it was her turn, Janhavi had some super answers.

When asked if she was to wake up one day as a male actor, who would that be and why, Jhanvi replied that it would be Vijay Deverakonda as he is extremely talented and immediately do a film with herself. She also spilled the beans about her relationship status that she is single and not dating her co-star Ishaan Khatter.

This is the first time that Jhanvi and her step-brother Arjun Kapoor appeared together on TV and the camaraderie of the siblings is quite pleasing to see.

Although actors Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor are step-siblings who share the same father, but different mothers, their relationship is hard to define.

Since Janhvi’s mother — the great Sridevi — died, the estranged siblings have begun bonding.

This Sunday’s Koffee With Karan had Arjun playing the protective brother to an obviously vulnerable and painfully young sister. Arjun gave a very emotional account of why he chose to reach out to his father’s daughters after their mother died.

There is something genuine about Arjun. He seemed incapable of lying this evening.

The rest of the show had very little meat or heat to the chat. The siblings were heartwarming together. But that’s about it. Beyond that, they had nothing to offer except giggles about Karan Johar’s sexuality and Janhvi’s ignorance about ‘hook-ups’ and other worldly things that men do with women.

There is something genuine and unspoilt about this sibling pair. Unfortunately two innocent people together on Karan Johar’s couch amounts to hearing the correct answers for more than an hour.

We wonder how Boney’s first wife Mona and second wife Sridevi would have reacted to all this talk about the family coming together.

Apart from witnessing the magnificent life of NT Rama Rao, the biopic on him will also take us back to the golden era of Telugu cinema.

The film will have many characters who were part and parcel of NTR’s journey in the film industry.

NTR has delivered some massive hits back in the 1970s and early 1980s. He mostly paired with Jayaprada and Jayasudha during this period.

It is going to be Hansika and ‘RX100’ fame Paayal Rajput who are going to essay the roles of Jayaprada and Jayasudha respectively.

But it is not clear whether Hansika and Paayal will sizzle in a song or an episode. That we will get to know when the makers officially make an announcement.

Hero Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Krish’s casting has been excellent and so far all the actors filled the spots with perfection.

‘NTR Kathanayakudu’ is first part of the biopic and it is going to release on January 9th.

Allu Arjun is in confusion. He is in dilemma as to which film he should do immediately although he has already agreed to work with his favourite director Trivikram.

But he is wavered by the Tamil movie “96”. He is planning to do this movie as quick but still has apprehensions whether it would work on him given his star image.

“96” is nostalgic romantic drama that purely worked on the chemistry of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha (absolutely superb performance from her) and great music.

Although Allu Arjun wants to reprise Vijay Sethupathi’s role, his well-wisher’s say his image is too big to play such role.

Producer Dil Raju who has bought the remake rights and has roped in Tamil director of the movie is waiting the decision of Allu Arjun.

If Bunny refuses to do the film, Dil Raju will go with a young star.

On the other hand, Allu Arjun’s Trivikram film will take some more time to go to the sets.

After Trivikram has refused to remake the Bollywood hit movie “Sony Ke Titu Ki Sweety”, Allu Arjun reluctantly has given his agreement to prepare a fresh script.

Trivikram is said to be now working on his own idea and writing it as a entertaining script.

Nagarjuna, the ageing superstar, has been staying away from solo-hero movies of late.

Except Ram Gopal Varma’s dud “Officer”, he did appear as one of lead actors or guest star in the last two years. He was recently seen in “Nirmala Convent”, “Raju Gari Gadhi 2” and “Devadas”.

Nagarjuna will next be seen in Karan Johar produced Bollywood movie “Brahmastra” in which he is playing a guest role and he will also be working in Dhanush directed bilingual movie. In both these movies he is not lead actor.

However, he will be returning to lead roles in 2019 as he is planning to commence a movie with Rahul Raveendran who debuted as a director with “Chi.La.Sow”. He will also be reviving sequel to “Soggade Chinni Nayana”.

These are the two films that he is interested to do in the new year.

Mahesh Babu who regularly meets his fans is surprised to see that a 106-year-old woman came all the way from Rajamundry to meet him and see him in person.

Relangi Satyavati, a native of Rajamundry, wished to see Mahesh Babu and when her family members approached Mahehs Babu team, they made all arrangements to this meet.

Touched by her love, Mahesh Babu took some time off from the shoot of “Maharshi” only to interact with her for half hour and enquired about her health. He also happily took photographs with her.

He also shared his happiness meeting with her.

“It’s amazing how love transcends through ages… Humbled to see & feel that kind of love coming from someone generations apart from mine. The love from my fans has always overwhelmed me but 106-year old Relangi Satyavati garu coming all the way from Rajahmundry to bless me has touched every corner of my heart. Glad I could make her happy but in all honesty, I am happier than her. God bless her! Feeling happy, blessed & grateful for all this,” he posted on Instagram.
