TRS To Kick Up Telangana Sentiment Again!
Formation of separate Telangana was the most emotional issue in 2014 elections and the people voted for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi to power only because it was a purely Telangana party which has no interest in any other state, though it was the Congress party which had granted the statehood. So, the TRS could capitalise on the Telangana sentiment in 2014. But once the Telangana is formed, there is no scope for any such sentiment, as the people got what they had fought for.
Now, whichever political party that contests the elections in Telangana, they have to work only for the Telangana state.
The poll plank now will be the development and welfare and not the same old Telangana sentiment. But, the TRS does not think so. Apparently realising that there has been a growing resentment among the people over the four-year government of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the TRS wants to rake up the Telangana sentiment again, stating that any vote for the Congress party or the Bharatiya Janata Party would only undo the benefits got by the Telangana after the formation of separate state.
That is precisely why KCR’s son and IT Minister K T Rama Rao has been telling at every public meeting to vote for the TRS which is the only genuine Telangana party and not the Congress or the BJP which have interests in other states as well.KTR says the Telangana needs its own party and public representatives, not Congress, TDP, or BJP.
“Four years ago, the then rulers and government ridiculed the cause of separate statehood. A chief minister had even cursed that the lives of people would be ruined if Telangana was formed. Another chief minister wondered whether TRS would be able to rule the State,” KTR recalled.
He said the Congress was trying to stall development works across the State.
“It is trying to prevent good governance. All that it wants is to bring back the complexity experienced during its 50 years of rule. If we want to achieve golden Telangana, all sections of society should think unitedly about what the future holds for them,” KTR said.
Housewives are biggest CEOs in India: Aishwarya
Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says the housewives are the biggest CEOs in the country. This weekend’s episode of “Indian Idol 10″ promises to be a star-studded affair with actors Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya and Rajkummar Rao making an appearance on the show.
After contestant Indira Das’ performance, her mother asked Aishwarya about her views on the housewives of the country, read a statement.”The housewives are the biggest CEOs in the country and they should be given utmost respect and appreciation in the country. I doff my hat off with full respect and appreciation to all the housewives of the country and the world,” said Aishwarya.
To which, one of the show’s judges Vishal Dadlani said: “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being one of the most beautiful women in the world is just like any other housewife. As I remember on one of my music world tours when Amitabh Bachchanji had invited me and the whole crew to his suite for a dinner party, the world’s most beautiful lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan served dinner with her own hands to each and every member of the crew.
“She served them dessert as well, after which she had her meal.”
Allow Him To Retire Gracefully
A delegation of TDP MPs led by CM Ramesh met Vice-President Venkayya Naidu and asked him to put pressure on the Centre to allow a steel plant at Kadapa. They said the State government was willing to provide all facilities like water, power and land to set up the factory.
The TDP delegation calling on Venkayya Naidu is a futile exercise, just meant for public consumption.Venkayya Naidu himself lost favour with the BJP leadership for pushing Chandrababu’s agenda in Delhi. He lost his Ministership but since the BJP did not want the tag of having ill-treated another senior in the Party, he was made Vice-President and kept away from the active scheme of things.
There is nothing that Venkayya Naidu can do for the people of the State and it is best that the TDP allow him to retire gracefully from the political scene.
No More Solo For Nag and Venky
Although Nagarjuna and Venkatesh still have a pretty good market as solo heroes, with the duo finding it difficult to get scripts suited to their age, they have opted for multi-starrer films with good story lines.
While Nag is currently doing Devdas with Nani, he is also doing multi-starrer projects in Hindi and Tamil.Similarly, Venkatesh is doing a film with Varun Tej and one with Naga Chaitanya.Meanwhile, their contemporaries Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna are still doing solo hero films.
But, it can only be matter of time before they jump on the multi-starrer bandwagon as well.
Akkineni Niece Draws The Attention
Hero Adivi Sesh’s ‘Goodachari’ has released and critics and audiences have given it a thumbs up. But more than anybody, it’s the Akkieneni niece who grabbed all the eye balls. We are taking about Supriya Yarlagadda. Making a comeback after over two decades, Supriya is seen as Nadiya Qureshi in ‘Goodachari’ and her subtle performance has won the audience appreciation.
It is an important role and she carried it with utmost ease. Well, this performance of Supriya might land her in more roles but it is all up to her to continue be before the camera and like her preference to stay away from the limelight or may be something exciting just as ‘Goodachari’ should come her way.
For now, ‘Goodachari’ is enough to do the talking.
Did Naidu Walk Into Jagan’s Trap Again?
Narendra Modi said that Chandrababu Naidu had walked into Jagan’s trap over the SCS issue when he severed ties with the BJP.The Kapu reservation issue might be just another case of Jagan outsmarting Chandrababu. The BCs are opposed to according reservation to the Kapus as they fear it will eat into their quota.
Jagan says the reservation issue falls within the purview of the Centre and the Kapus take this as a sign that he is not interested in providing reservation to them.Quick to seize in on the opportunity, Naidu immediately asked his MPs to take up the issue in Parliament along with SCS issue. This move has angered the BC communities who feel Chandrababu is against their interests.
The Kapus did not vote for Jagan in the last election. Therefore, he has nothing to lose but everything to gain with his decision. The BC votes were split between the TDP and YSRCP the last time but they are now overwhelmingly in favour of YSJ whereas Chandrababu has an uphill task in trying to win their confidence back thanks to his commitment to the Kapus to take up their cause in Parliament.
Director Asks to Watch the Piracy version of His Film

The latest Bollywood outing of Taapsee Pannu ‘Mulk’, directed by Anubhav Sinha, released on Friday and is garnering good response from the audiences. Jointly bankrolled by Banaras Media Works and Soham Rockstar Entertainment, the film also features senior actor Rishi Kapoor, Prateek Babbar and Ashutosh Rana in important roles.
Usually, our Bollywood films enjoy good craze in Pakistan and almost all the films get simultaneous release in our neighboring nation as well. But, Mulk was banned in Pakistan as their censor board felt the film showed Muslims in poor light. Director Anubhav, who’s enjoying the super success in India, wrote an open letter to the cinephiles who are missing Mulk in Pakistan and he had a very interesting piece of advice to them.
Anubhav, who started off his letter with words ‘Dear Citizens of Pakistan’, recommended the Pakistani audiences to download the piracy version of the film and watch it. In his one-page letter, Anubhav said ‘I really wanted you all to see this film legally but do watch it illegally if you must, though our digital team at home is working hard to stop all piracy.’ Don’t you think this is really an uncommon piece of recommendation from any filmmaker.
