On live television, how can one person play the audio clip of a person from one community horribly abusing another community and then expect things to be normal?This is precisely what Mahaa News anchor Murthy did recently during a debate for which he cleverly invited Kammas and Brahmins.

He then played an audio clip of Chundu Sudhakar who horribly abused the Brahmin community in unprintable words.

Naturally, the Brahmins on the show were highly incensed and were about to assault Chundu Sudhakar who was seated there but Mahaa Murthy averted the assault.Children, women and youngsters watch television. How then can Murthy play an audio clip on live television that can have implications and serious consequences far beyond the four walls of his idiotic cabin?

In an attempt to emerge as the Arnab Goswami of Telugu electronic media, this guy is unfortunately throwing all journalistic norms to the winds.

Former Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram, who recently floated a new regional party Telangana Jana Samithi, seems to be very confident of facing the elections on his own.Though there has been tremendous pressure from his own party leaders that the TJS should have a tie-up with the Congress or the Bharatiya Janata Party, Kodandaram is said to have rejected all their suggestions.

“Let us establish ourselves an independent political party with a serious political agenda. We are not like conventional political parties which do not have the background of a people’s movement. We shall have our own identity and let us not play second fiddle to any other party,” he reportedly told the party cadre.

Sources close to Kodanda said though the TRS came to power in 2014 as an “Udyama Party” (party born out of a movement for separate state), it has lost the touch with the people associated with the movement the moment he disowned the TJAC.“While common people, students, farmers and employees who worked in the TJAC continue to be our strength, even those in the TRS having the background of the people’s movement are likely to return our fold. That would be our plus point,” he reportedly told them.

However, another section of the TJS feels that Kodanda is over-confident and he cannot match the political manipulations of TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.“If the TJS fights the elections alone and contests all the seats, it will only benefit the TRS ultimately,” this section is arguing.

Gossips in the film circles are like smoke without fire. Anybody can create any kind of rumour and spread it in the social media. If there is a masala in the gossip, it can go viral within no time.The latest rumour is that YSR Congress party leader Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi has received a remuneration of Rs 60 lakh from the producers for giving rights to make the film on her late husband legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N T Rama Rao.

The film titled “Lakshmi’s NTR” is based on the life of NTR after his second marriage with Lakshmi Parvathi.Maverick film maker Ram Gopal Varma, who came up with the idea and is supposed to direct the film, has also been paid Rs 3 crore as his remuneration, says the gossip doing rounds in the media circles.

This is really funny. First of all, nobody knows the fate of the film, as Varma himself has admitted that it is still a non-starter and is not his priority list.Secondly, his latest film Officer has bombed at the box office and no producer will ever dare to make a film with RGV as the director again.

Thirdly, the script is not yet ready and there are no efforts to identify the actors who would play the key roles. So, why would any producer burn his fingers by making such an attempt?Ironically, the news was picked up by a couple of English newspapers as well, much to the chagrin of Lakshmi Parvathi!

Ridiculing the drop in fuel prices that was in meagre paisa, a Telangana man has sent a cheque for 9 paisa to PM Narendra Modi. One Chandu Goud from the Telangana has handed over the 9 paisa cheque to Rajanna Sircilla district collector Krishna Bhaskar during Praja Vani programme and asked him to ensure that the cheque reaches Prime Minister’s relief fund. This is after the Telangana state witnessed 9 paisa cut in the petrol.

The fuel price said to have hit farmers most while they are bracing up for a new crop. Since farmers use diesel and petrol for their tractors, motors in fields, they are said to have hurt more with the steep hike in fuel prices.
Telangana collects a staggering 35.2 per cent VAT on petroleum products in the state which is also reason for its high price.
