Trade: Hero Raviteja had a good following in mass circuits in AP & TS and that has changed now. Apart from Last year Raja The Great, Before 3 films Kick2, Bengal Tiger & Touch chesi chudu were commercial duds and with a series of failures totally lost his grip on market.

His latest outing Nela ticket opened on a dull note at the box office, collects Rs 3.29cr share with a gross of over Rs 5.5cr in telugu states, which is a disastrous start.

In WW, The film rakes approximately Rs 6.1cr gross and about a share of Rs 3.6cr in its opening day.

A widespread belief is that heroines who excel in female-centric projects always get similar offers, but once they fail to score, they are gone forever. Only the likes of Anushka and Nayantara have survived that scare and we have to see what “Mahanati” will do to Keerthi Suresh.

Apparently, Keerthi’s mesmeric performance as legendary actress Savitri worked out big time. And from then, many makers will be approaching her with such female centric projects only. Even if someone wants to offer her a song and dance routine kind of project, they will be hesitating if she takes up or not. Obviously, such directors won’t even approach her, says a film expert.

Coming to Anushka’s case, when her Arundathi is doing hungama, she has come up in parallel with Billa where her two-piece bikini act did more talking. That way she gave a signal to filmmakers that any type of role is okay for her. And Nayantara is also doing those glam roles alongside big Tamil stars while she’s doing female centric films as well. But Keerthi is neither into glamour, nor a lover of simple roles, so after Mahanati her prospects are unexpectedly to become slower in Tollywood.

At the moment, Keerthi has 2-3 big Tamil projects but there are no Telugu films in her hand. Her last Telugu release before Mahanati is Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavasi.

Long back, the posters of RGV’s Siva has created such a rage in the film industry that they have changed the way Tollywood will design posters. And now, in Bollywood, the lively looking posters of Raj Kumar Hirani’s “Sanju” are making their presence felt. The film is based on the life of Sanjay Dutt and it reunites the couple Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, a decade after they debuted together as leading stars.

Other day, Hirani shared a poster featuring Ranbir and Sonam, and that lovely smiley of the actress is enough to choke many hearts. It shows the romantic chemistry between onscreen Sanjay Dutt with his girlfriend. And in another poster, actually, the Sunil-Sanjay Dutt chemistry, the father and the son, is just stunning. And Paresh Rawal killed in his role, while Ranbir is equally intriguing.

Needless to say, these posters are speaking a lot of the roles, as Rajkumar Hirani will be unveiled the many lives of one man on the silver screen on June 29th.

Floored by Mahanati, the biopic of yesteryear actress Savitri, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has offered to give tax exemption to Mahanati film and stressed the strong need for people to watch the film and learn the message that Savitri’s life gives to people.

Naidu recalled Savitri’s charity works, her boundless talent, her self-confidence and her rise, fall. He lauded the makers for making a film on Savitri. Naidu also personally felicitated the main cast, crew of the film with Shawl and presented mementos.

Delighted with Naidu’s offer, producer Aswini Dutt described that his plan to give “Tax Exemption” to the film itself is a great honour, proud achievement. He said his team knows how much hard Chandrababu Naidu is working towards the progress of the state. Gently turning down the ‘Tax Exemption’, Aswini Dutt asked the state government to use the money for the development of the state.

Dutt heaped praises on Naidu and his relentless efforts to make the new state of Andhra Pradesh into a progressive state. He said he is proud of his daughters who received honour from CM Chandrababu Naidu.

After tasting back-to-back failures, Puri Jagannadh is apparently doing rounds around Balayya. It is reliably learnt that Puri is daily making visits to meet Balayya and is trying to spend time with him and his team.

Puri is hellbent on convincing Balayya for direction chance, but owing to Balayya’s busy schedule and already committed projects, the Nandamuri star may not honour his word of working with Puri again in near future. Since Paisa Vasool, Puri has been ‘buttering’ Balayya and trying to impress him. It needs to be seen whether Balayya will fall into Puri’s trap or not.

On other side, Puri is also making efforts to start his next with son Akash in his own direction and production in collaboration with Charmi. It will be an action story set in the US backdrop with elements involving martial arts. As of now, Puri has only two options in hand – his son Akash and Balayya. So, Puri’s chances are very limited.
