25,000 Cr Money Poured In Karnataka Elections?
A staggering cash flow is said to be witnessed in Karnataka Assembly elections that turned out to be prestigious for all three major political parties – Congress, BJP and JD(S). Especially, the fight is between the two national parties who wants to win Karnataka by hook or crook since the result of Karnataka is expected to have a telling impact on the 2019 general Lok Sabha polls. While BJP wants to clinch Karnataka and wants to foray into South, Congress is ensuring that BJP’s plans won’t work. Amit Shah, Narendra Modi, Yogi Adityanath and several top BJP leaders are all going all out to win the BJP.
Amidst this, huge money – estimated at Rs 25,000 Crore – is said to be spent. This is one-fourth of the budget allocation of a larger state in the country and in fact, this is equal to the budget spend of a large state given that the actual budget spend would be around one-fourth of the allocated budget.
Now, one can easily understand why several states – AP, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh – are running out of cash in the ATMs. It is alleged that huge stacks of cash has been shifted from these states to poll-bound Karnataka.

Pawan Kalyan Set To Create World Record In Hyd
Telugu Film hero and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan is set to create world record on Thursday in Hyderabad. He will hoist world’s largest Indian national flag tomorrow at N.T.R Stadium on the occasion of commemoration of the first war of Indian independence.
Perhaps, it is first of its kind event organised in the country on the eve of first war of Indian independence. The total length of the national flag will be 22,326 square feet. All arrangements including traffic restrictions and deployment of police forces were made for the successful conduct of the program.
Janasena party leaders from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will take part in the event in huge number. Pawan will also deliver a speech aiming to inculcate patriotic fervor among youth on the occasion.
Mahanati: Standing Ovation To Keerthy’s Performance!
Keerthy Suresh’s natural performance as Savitri has engrossed the viewers and make them hook to their seats. Keerthy’s method acting as Mahanati is very impressive. She has breathed life into the role of Savitri with her acting prowess. No where she gives the audience a sense that it was not Savitri but it was Keerthy Suresh who is on the big screen. This is the big achievement of the film’s director. The response of crowds is overwhelming.
During the premieres and the early shows in the Telugu states, crowds are seen giving a standing ovation to the Keerthy’s performance at the end. In many areas, after the show, people are seen clapping and shouting Mahanati for Keerthy’s acting and seen standing till the end titles complete. It’s a standing ovation out of respect for Savitri, her story and the film which is an honest attempt to unfold the truths, mysteries in her life.
Overall, it’s a unanimous positive talk for the film. Even the trade is said to be shocked with the numbers registered by the film during the US premieres. Simply put, Mahanati is a befitting tribute to Mahanati Savitri from Mahanati Keerthy Suresh by enacting the role of the former. While critics and audiences are lapping up the film, many are expecting the film to do phenomenally well at the Box Office.
Mahanati has already set the box office on fire in USA
Mahanati, directed by Nag Ashwin has released across the world on May 9.The film, which is based on the life of legendary actress Savitri, stars Keerthy Suresh, Samantha Akkineni, Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda in the lead roles.
According to trade, the film has collected $310k from the premieres held across the US.The film has been receiving positive reviews from the opening shows in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Soon, Mahanati is all set to break box office records.
However, neither Mahanati nor Nadigaiyar Thilagam didn’t release in Tamil Nadu. Both the Tamil and Telugu version of the film will release on May 11.The film will take on two other Tamil movies – Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai and Arulnithi’s Iravukku Aayiram Kangal.

Why Delay In Arresting Naidu?
YSR Congress party seems to be in a tearing hurry in seeing Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu behind the bars as soon as possible, so that it can take revenge for the arrest of its leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in 2012.
Even as the cash-for-vote case is still pending in Supreme Court and the ACB started gathering adequate evidences to charge-sheet Naidu, the YSR Congress party is demanding that the sooner Naidu is arrested, the better for the state.
It questioned why the Telangana government was delaying in the arrest of the TDP president.
YSRC official spokesman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy on Wednesday demanded the arrest of Naidu without further delay and his name should be included in the charge sheet to upkeep the democratic norms.
The YSRC leader said that Naidu’s name should have been included in the charge-sheet long back but there was inordinate delay and in wake of the forensic report, the law should take its own course without any fear or favour.
“Though there was adequate audio-visual evidence to nail him down, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government seems to have left Naidu off the hook which is not in good taste,” he said.
Bhumana further said the entire country believed that the Chief Minister was involved in the cash for vote scam but still, the TRS government was resorting to unusual delay in naming him in the charge sheet.
“KCR had earlier said that no one could save Naidu from the cash for vote case but things did not move in the desired pace. There is no convincing answer as to why there was no tangible action for the past three years,” he said.
He alleged that the compromise had led Naidu to flee from Hyderabad though the city was to be the joint capital for 10 years. Besides that, he has also compromised on various issues including water sharing.
“After a lull, as the TRS government seems to be showing interest in the case. We demand that Naidu should be arrested after naming him as accused in the charge sheet,” he said.
Pawan to contest from both Andhra, Seema?
Power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan might contest the next assembly elections from both the regions – Andhra as well as Rayalaseema, on the lines of his brother megastar Chiranjeevi in 2009.
While Pawan has already announced that he would contest from Anantapur district (not exactly Anantapur assembly constituency), the latest reports indicate that he might also contest from Krishna district and not West Godavari district, where he has huge fan following.
On Wednesday, Jana Sena Party’s Krishna district in-charge Muttamsetti Krishna Rao said Pawan Kalyan would contest from Avanigadda constituency in the district.
He told a meeting of party functionaries at Avanigadda that Pawan had tentatively agreed to contest froom Avanigadda. It would help strengthen the party in Krishna district, which is very crucial for any party.
Though there is no official confirmation with regard to Pawan’s attempts to contest in both the regions, the party leaders have already started spreading the talk, ahead of his state-wide bus yatra commencing on March 15.
It may be recalled that Chiranjeevi, when he floated Praja Rajyam Party in 2008, also chose two regions to contest the 2009 assembly elections.
He chose Palakollu, closer to his native village of Mogulturru in West Godavari and Tirupati in Rayalaseema. However, Chiranjeevi faced an unexpected defeat in Palakollu, while he won the Tirupati seat with not so high majority.
He later resigned from Tirupati as well after he became Rajya Sabha member in 2012.

Director Koratala Siva has stunned everyone with “Bharat Anu Nenu” as the political content inside the film really pushed some people into thinking. The way he spoke about accountability and responsibility through CM Bharat is an intriguing and thought provoking thing of sorts. Here comes the sparkle now.
Actually a leading political party that is aiming to form government in 2019 has now approached Koratala Siva. If you’re wondering what for they are meeting him, no, they don’t want to learn any political gyaan from him as they themselves have so much idea of present politics. This party actually wants some new advertisements to be created and directed by the writer-director such that they will have maximum impact on the voters.
Many political parties often bank on film directors to get content created and directed to use as audio-visual tools during election campaigns. And now, with Koratala showcasing the world that he has a terrific understanding of political ideologies and politics, they want him to craft ads.
While the director could cash on this and take home some decent bucks, he’s said to be no interested in these political ads as that will give a colour that he got aligned to that particular political outfit. That’s the beauty!
Pic Talk: Kapoor And Son, And Daughters
While the death of Sridevi brought them together, a cousin’s wedding has now made them bond much more. Yes, we are talking about the family of producer Boney Kapoor who is recently struck with an expected blow.
After mourning for some time, Boney Kapoor and his two daughters with Sridevi, have started living out a normal life. They are all smiles and happy at the wedding of cousin Sonam Kapoor, who happens to be the daughter of Anil Kapoor. Earlier Sonam and Sridevi’s daughters Jhanvi and Kushi used to bond well, but hero Arjun Kapoor and his sister Anshula maintained some distance. They are Boney’s children from first wife Mona who has succumbed to cancer couple of years ago.
At the time of Sridevi’s death, Arjun got close to his step-sisters and publicly tweeted for them as well. And now at Sonam’s bonding, the whole of Boney’s children have posed for the camera, leaving everyone speechless.

Director On Cloud Nine With Pawan Kalyan’s Message
Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has finally started moving completely into politics as he hasn’t heard a film script nor showed interested any after the release of “Agnyaathavasi”. He confirmed a couple of times that movies are a closed chapter for him now.
But before the release of Agnyaathavaasi, actually Pawan gave a go to a couple of directors and one of them is Santosh Srinivas, the guy who made movies like Kandireega and Rabhasa. He was supposed to direct the Telugu remake of a Tamil movie with PK in the lead. But the project got shelved due to Pawan’s disliking to star in a few more films before 2019 general elections.
Leaving that project, now producers Mythri Movie Makers have offered Santosh Srinivas to direct Telugu version of “Theri” featuring Raviteja in the lead. While the director is busy with the script work, we hear that Pawan sent him a message saying, “I’m sorry for not being able to work with you. All the best for your next with Raviteja”.
And we hear that the message coming from Pawan Kalyan pushed this director into cloud nine. He’s of the feeling that if at all Pawan comes back to films like his brother Megastar Chiru who donned grease paint after 10 years, he wants to narrate him another story.
