Even BBC Is Not Spared By Rumour Mills
“Fake News” is the latest thing that is disturbing social media as a lot of unverified publications come up with unverified stories. Sometimes they attribute particular story to a top media or publishing house, making everyone believe that the news is true.
The fake news has gone to such an extent that recently some media folks published few election-surveys in Karnataka state and attributed it to none other than the Indian wing of world famous news network, BBC. They stated that Congress-JDS is going to clean sweep Karnataka this time and that’s BBC says. What is the truth anyway?
“A fake survey on Karnataka polls has been circulating on Whats App and claims to be from BBC News. We’d like to make absolutely clear that it’s a #fake and does not come from the BBC. The BBC does not commission pre-election surveys in India. #fakenews” read a tweet from the official handle of BBC India.
Talking about the same, many say that political parties are employing guerilla teams that work in an ad-hoc manner on social media in order to promote some speculations. And today they are not even sparing a respected media house like BBC too.
Sye Raa: Work Going On In Silent Mode
With Megastar Chiranjeevi in USA tour and the film “Sye Raa” fresh schedule not yet started, one wonders what is really happening. Will the film get released in next Summer as expected, if the progress is at this slow speed? Here is an exclusive update.
Director Surendar Reddy is said to be giving ample time to Visual Effects studios that are involved in the project when it comes to delivering quality work. Already the two fight sequences that are canned at Aluminium factory and the homam sequence that took place in the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, are edited and sent for VFX work. We hear that there are a lot of CG extensions in those scenes as the team has to create early 1800 like feeling with those scenes.
Coordinating with the teams are working here in India and also in abroad, Surender Reddy is said to be taking care of the stuff all the time but in silent mode. It’s heard that Megastar wants the film output to be on par with “Baahubali” quality and impress the whole of India.
Featuring Chiranjeevi in the lead, Sye Raa will have the likes of Nayantara, Jagapathi Babu, Vijay Sethupathi and Amitabh Bachchan in some crucial roles, while hotties Pragya Jaiswal and Tamanna are also playing two important roles.
Savitri’s Daughter Stunned Keerthy With An SMS
Vyjayanthi Movies, the production house that rolled the biopic of legendary actress Savitri is fingers crossed as “Mahanati” is hitting cinemas in few hours. And they want to see how Nag Ashwin’s biographical drama is going to fare at the box office, while compliments are anyway expected for the film.
At a special show, already family members of Savitri have watched the film and they are overwhelmed by the way this film is carved. Especially Savitri’s daughter Vijaya Chamundeswari’s eyes turned wet, watching the story of her mother come alive on the screen. And she’s so taken away by the way Keerthy Suresh enacted her mother’s persona.
Expressing her happiness over the best performance put up by Keerthy, Savitri’s daughter immediately sent an SMS to the actress. “If I ever need the warmth of my mother, I will come to you”, is what her SMS read. We hear that Keerthy felt so happy for getting such an appreciation.
Will these appreciations get coupled with blessings from audiences too? With lot of money at stake, surely “Mahanati” should impress everyone. The result will be out in few more hours.

KCR’s Discreet Support To BJP Now Open!
Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao might be claiming that he is going to form a federal front as an alternative to the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party at the national level, but many people doubt that his objective is primarily to weaken the Congress so that it would help the BJP.
It was quite evident from the way Telangana stayed away from the second meeting of like-minded states on fiscal federalism held at Amaravati on Monday.
Telangana finance minister Etela Rajender said he had got the invitation but was not going to the meeting. He did not cite any reasons for the same. Obviously, he did not the approval from boss KCR.
The absence of Telangana at the meeting was quite surprising, because it was only the other day at the TRS plenary that KCR had raised his voice over the hegemony of the Centre over the states on financial issues.
He accused the Centre of trying to control the states and was depriving them of adequate finances so that they have to go the Centre with a begging bowl every time.
He even demanded that the concept of concurrent list should be done away with by amending the constitution.
The Centre should not interfere in the state’s issues like laying of rural roads, education, health and drinking water.
These were the same issues that were discussed at the conference on fiscal federalism at Amaravati.
The states which attended the meeting all raised concern over the Centre’s hegemony over states and its attempt to penalise the performing states.
All the states which attended the conference were non-BJP states, including a couple of the Congress-ruled states. But Delhi is not a pro-Congress state – it is ruled by Aam Admi Party and West Bengal ruled by Trinamool Congress party and both these parties are friendly with the TRS as well.
But since all of them are strongly opposing the BJP, KCR thought if the Telangana attends the conference, it would anger the BJP at the Centre, which he does not want.
It clearly shows the TRS had been discreetly working for the BJP agenda and it has now come in the open!
In Karnataka : It’s Siddaramaiah Vs Modi
In Karnataka, the election battle is not just between Congress and the BJP but it is actually the battle between the incumbent CM Siddaramaiah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While Modi & Amit Shah are desperately making attempts to win Karnataka with the support of JD (S) and wants to unfurl the Saffron flag in South India, Congress wants to regain their hold on Karnataka and thus wants to show the nation that Congress still is a chief contender and has chances to bounce back to counter the BJP.
Although the likes of Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and several other senior leaders of Congress are making a beeline to the campaign, and at the same time, many seniors from BJP such as UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Amit Shah are rallying, the real fight is between Siddaramaiah and Narendra Modi.
This is a clear fight between two popular leaders. If BJP loses Karnataka, not only it loses chances of winning any seats in South, it does have a telling effect in the North in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Congress too took it very prestigiously and leaving no leaf unturned to bag Karnataka in order to give a strong message to nation that is going to give tough fight to BJP in 2019.
All these boiled down to the battle between Siddhu and NaMo.
Dil Raju’s Commission Formula Working
After burning hands with the distribution of big-budgeted films, producer-distributor Dil Raju, who holds sway in Nizam, has changed his strategy. Of late, Raju has stopped betting big on star-studded films and is opting for a safe game by releasing them in Nizam on commission basis. By this, he is pocketing his share and is not taking any risk. Raju had outrightly bought Nani’s Krishnarjuna Yuddham that turned out to be Box Office disaster.
Apart from this, Raju hasn’t bought any of the films. Be it Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam or Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu or the latest Naa Peru Surya of Allu Arjun, Dil Raju has stayed away from the distribution. Apparently, Raju himself released these films in Nizam on commission basis.
UV Creations, which had acquired the Nizam theatrical rights of Rangasthalam, have released the film on sharing basis with Dil Raju. Director Koratala Siva, who has rights of Nizam, again released Bharat Ane Nenu with the help of Dil Raju on commission basis. And Vasu, who had bought Naa Peru Surya for whopping Rs 20 Crore (inclusive of all), has also got the film released through Dil Raju on commission basis. Other than Asian Cinemas who is very selective and choosy in buying films in Nizam, there is no competition to Dil Raju. In fact, no one can release a film in Nizam without the support of Dil Raju who almost enjoys monopoly of sorts in the market. With this, he seems to have opted for sharing/commission basis where his income would be safe.
This is a very safe and smart game played by Dil Raju since huge monies are at stake when it comes to the film’s of stars. And even a small, simple mixed talk would have huge impact on the collections and is very difficult to predict what works at the Box Office and what won’t.
Considering his past experiences, Raju said to have opted for this commission formula for biggies. Not that he doesn’t distribute in future, but as of now, Raju is playing his cards well. Raju’s next production is Mahesh Babu’s landmark 25th film to be directed by Vamshi Paidipally and the film is co-produced by Aswini Dutt.
Mega Shock for Beautiful Heroine
Last year, everything seemed bright for beautiful actress Anu Emmanuel. She was riding high with success and she got chance to act with two biggest stars – Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun.Film analysts felt that she’s the next big thing in Tollywood. But luck didn’t favour her this year.
Anu Emmanuel got big shock with debacle of “Agnyaathavaasi” on which she had pinned lots of hopes. Four months later, she received another jolt. This time Allu Arjun disappointed her.
Her latest release “Naa Peru Surya” in which she paired up with Allu Arjun also bombed at the box-office. Though the film still has a chance to run in theaters, it is unlikely to become a hit.
With two back-to-back duds this year, Anu Emmanuel has lost all the hype. She needs to bounce back. Luckily, Anu won appreciation for her beautiful and chirpy looks in the movie. The 21-year-old actress will next be appearing opposite Naga Chaitanya in director Maruthi’s “Sailaja Reddy Alludu”.
Rajendra Prasad’s role in Mahanati Revealed
Countdown has begun for Mahanati to hit screens tomorrow. In the process of introducing each character of this much-awaited biopic, Dr Rajendra Prasad’s role from the movie has been revealed today.
The senior actor portrays KV Chowdary, ‘peddananna’ of Savitri. Chowdary used to be a car driver. He was the one who instilled aspiration in Savitri and nurtured her to become an actress.
He played key role in her career. Chowdary’s dream of making Savitri an actress, gave us the evergreen mahanati. Nag Ashwin and his team have strived to make every character look so genuine, which is commendable.
Dr Mohan Babu’s appearance as SV Rangarao from Maya Bazaar has amazed all those who watched the trailer. With Keerthy Suresh as Mahanati, the film has an ensemble cast that includes Samantha, Dulquer Salmaan and Vijay Deverakonda in lead roles.
Vijay Skips Into Kakinada Accent!
Vijay Deverakonda’s trademark arrogance has synced more with regular Telangana dialect or say typical Hyderabad accent.
Arjun Reddy, Pellichoopulu explored the soul and ease in Vijay’s Telangana slanged dialogue modulation. But the multi faceted actor is now looking for a change over.
Vijay himself revealed that he will be speaking in core Kakinada local tongue for one of his upcoming new film titled Dear Comrade to be directed by newcomer Bharat Kamma and to be produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers, Big Ben Cinema.
Unlike the communism sounding in ‘Comrade’ title, this film is said to be a pure love story set in Kakinada backdrop with Rashmika plying the female lead.
Well, Dear Comrade first look is also slated to hit the media headlines soon. Meanwhile, Taxiwala and Mahanati are the two films queued up for release from Vijay D Konda.
